I stayed with my parents and husband—four adults in total. There was a complimentary alcohol service available until 10:00 p.m. (there was even beer in the Room refrigerator!), and the all-inclusive drinks with meals also offered a great selection of alcohol. We could even enjoy sparkling wine at breakfast—wonderful for my father and me, as we both love drinks. Every summer, we stay one night at an Accommodation in Fukushima to coincide with my mother’s visit home, and my father really loved this place, saying, “Let’s stay here again next time—let’s make it our regular.” From the bath to the lobby to the Room, every space had beautiful interiors and a wonderful sense of design. The staff were also warm yet polished in their hospitality. It was our first trip where I treated my parents to a stay, so it became a truly memorable experience for us. Thank you very much.

Just as everyone wrote in their Reviews, everything—from the surroundings and the building to the furniture and amenities—was high quality and comfortable, and we were able to fully enjoy a Scandinavian-style getaway. Coffee on the terrace while listening to the birds singing was amazing! The only disappointment was that there were no wine glasses!! They’re an essential item for our meals, so we would really appreciate it if you could provide them. Thank you in advance.

We stayed here as a family of four—my husband, my mother, my son, and me. There is a supermarket called Himawari Market nearby, as well as a bakery called TRIFFLE, so we had no trouble at all even without meals included at the Accommodation. The bed sheets were soft and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying in this log cabin with its clean wooden scent! Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

We were soothed by the greenery visible through the large windows and enjoyed a relaxing, luxurious stay. The weather was great, and it was wonderful to have tea and breakfast outside while listening to birdsong. We were also deeply moved by an unexpected surprise—a herd of deer came to graze nearby. We would love to visit again.

The property was quiet, and I was able to relax very comfortably. The Onsen was also a milky white sulfur spring, and it felt like it would be good for the body. It was a Hotel that made me want to visit again.

The food quality is exceptional—everything we tried was truly delicious. The breakfast buffet is not only tasty, but the staff also keep it clean and well organized at all times, so you can enjoy it comfortably. The Room facilities are not brand-new, but everything—including the bathrooms—is thoroughly cleaned, making for a comfortable stay. From the doorman onward, many of the staff are incredibly kind and greet you with warm smiles, which makes you feel welcome. Rather than staying just to visit a theme park, this is a Hotel that makes you want to stay simply because you want to stay at Hotel Okura—a place full of heartfelt hospitality.

Stayed in a cottage with dinner and breakfast included. The cottage was spacious and very relaxing. I initially worried that relying on the Shuttle Service to the restaurant and Onsen Facility might feel restrictive, but it was completely stress-free. Whenever we needed anything, they picked us up in about five minutes, which actually added to the sense of luxury. The staff provided top-tier service throughout, including in the restaurant. Room service was also available, and anything we needed was delivered promptly. When Wi-Fi didn’t connect, they quickly brought a pocket Wi-Fi. The lamb BBQ course dinner featured exceptionally tender meat with a great variety of cuts. The food—both dinner and breakfast—was outstanding in quality and flavor, far beyond expectations. The drink selection was excellent as well; I especially enjoyed being able to try local wines. As it’s attached to a prestigious golf course, the buildings—including the clubhouse—are beautifully appointed and worth appreciating from an architectural perspective too. The biggest pleasant surprise was that the Onsen is free-flowing natural spring water with no added water—it truly warmed me through. There’s also a proper sauna. If it hadn’t been such heavy rain, I would have loved to take a walk through the woods. I also wish I could have tried feeding logs into the stove (not possible in summer). Those are my only regrets.

The Room felt very clean and featured calm tones with a Scandinavian-style yellow accent, making it easy to truly relax. The shower and hair dryer were the latest ReFa models. I stayed alone, but the bed was spacious and the pillows were fluffy—I slept soundly. Because the bed takes up much of the space, there’s little room beyond a table and mini sofa, so opening a large suitcase was only really possible near the entrance door, which was a bit challenging—but overall I was very satisfied. The elevator only operates when you hold up your key card, which also felt reassuring from a security standpoint.

The sashimi platter was served from the start, and there was an excellent selection of Ehime’s local dishes—everything was delicious. They also offered sake tasting samples, and the two friends I invited were very happy as well. As with Okunoshima where I stayed recently, Kyukamura doesn’t provide lots of towels like a Hotel: one bath towel per person, plus one brand-new Kyukamura face towel per person (in a bag). There was also one face towel in the washroom. Even hand towels would be fine, but it would be helpful to have three in the washroom for our group; I can accept not having spare bath towels.

The meals exceeded our expectations. True to the auberge’s name, we were extremely satisfied not only with the flavors but also with the generous portions. For dinner, we enjoyed items such as angel shrimp and steak. For dessert, the chef served each portion at our table. Breakfast was also excellent, with homemade sausage, ham, ketchup, and more. We were also very happy with the homemade jam souvenir. The outdoor bath could be reserved for private use, so we were able to relax at our own pace. The mini jet bath in the Onsen was wonderful as well. In a quiet and spotless Room, we were able to spend a truly relaxing and fulfilling time. We highly recommend this Accommodation.

This was my first stay. The views of the Chichibu townscape from both the Room and the dining area were wonderful. In the main building, Rooms on the 2nd floor have a roof below that reduces the sense of openness, so I recommend choosing the 3rd or 4th floor if you stay in the main building. For dinner, I had a Japanese-Western kaiseki-style course; since the price difference is minimal, I personally preferred it over the buffet. Overall, it’s a Hotel with great value for money.

The Room was spacious, so I could relax and unwind. I was lucky to get it at half price during a sale. This Room had more train noise than usual, but I always sleep with earplugs, so it didn’t bother me much. It was relaxing and comfortable. The Hotel staff are always pleasant.

It was good. However, while there is a restaurant in the Hotel, there are not many places to eat around the East Exit of Higashi-Hanno Station. There is a FamilyMart inside Higashi-Hanno Station, and near the Hotel there are a 7-Eleven and a Lawson.

The star-filled night sky was breathtaking, and the night trekking—something you rarely get to experience—was simply amazing. I was able to make irreplaceable memories with my 8-year-old daughter. Thank you so much.

Ever since I discovered Shukabura on an accommodation booking site a few years ago, I had been dreaming of staying here someday. The owner couple are friendly and down-to-earth. With just the right sense of distance, they respected my privacy while offering thoughtful care that anticipated every need. Not only the beautiful hill scenery, but also their warmth is a major reason this place makes you want to “come back home” again. Every piece of villa decor was so lovely I wanted to photograph it, and finding the charming little items placed throughout felt like a treasure hunt. The compact interior had everything I needed, and as someone whose hair tends to explode in the morning, I was genuinely impressed that there were even two types of hair irons provided. The cosmetics and bath/hair care amenities also smelled wonderful—I ended up lingering in the bath longer than planned. The local ingredients prepared for breakfast were all surprisingly delicious, especially the vegetables. I couldn’t stop tasting them just to check doneness—and even bought extra vegetables at a local farmers’ market. As someone who enjoys cooking (not necessarily claiming I’m good at it), I loved making my own meals while admiring the stunning view from the living room, making time spent in the Room truly special. This trip was a solo journey for self-care made possible by warm support from those around me. During my stay there were many rainy or cloudy days and strong winds, so it might not be considered “good weather” in general. Even so, there were sights I could only experience because of these conditions: a rainbow after the rain; layered clouds drifting by; a sky changing moment by moment; wheat rippling in the wind; and white buckwheat flowers swaying gently. This stay reminded me once again that Biei’s charm isn’t limited to sunny days. This was my seventh visit to Biei. The colors of the hills, shades of the sky, shapes of clouds, and growing trees all look different each time—no matter how many times I come back over time, there is always something new that moves me. Next time, I’d love to visit Biei in midwinter—still unknown to me—and watch snowy scenery from Shukabura. Thank you very much for such a truly fulfilling stay for both body and mind.

We stayed for two nights in mid-October with three generations of our family and our beloved dog, and we had a very comfortable stay in the spacious room. The cleanliness was exceptional, making it hard to believe it was a pet-friendly accommodation. The large living room and kitchen allowed us to enjoy cooking together as a family. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of cookware and tableware, so we had everything we needed. (We bought ingredients for dinner at a nearby supermarket.) The separate toilet and bathroom made it convenient for everyone to use without any hassle. It was also helpful that basic dog supplies like a cage and pet sheets were provided. Although pets were not allowed in the bedrooms, our dog relaxed comfortably in the living area. The location right in front of the slopes (Happo-One Ski Resort) was perfect for walking our dog, especially during early morning strolls which were incredibly refreshing. It was also easy to drive to Kurobishi-daira, where we enjoyed stunning autumn foliage—this year seemed to be an excellent year for fall colors! We would love to visit again during summer when the greenery is lush. Traveling with three generations of family members—and especially with a pet—can make choosing accommodations challenging, but this place exceeded all expectations. It's highly recommended for families traveling with small children (grandchildren), as you can relax comfortably in your room while enjoying quality time together!

Set in a quiet forest, it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a truly out-of-the-ordinary stay. The café that also serves as the management office was incredibly stylish—absolutely amazing. Next time, I’d love to try the spinach curry at the café! When I mentioned we were going to Ueda Castle the next day, you shared lots of helpful information, and we were able to see the moat at Ueda High School as well. Thank you very much. We’ll be back. We did not use the bath.

We stayed here with friends for a glamping trip, and it was amazing. If we have the chance to visit again, we’d love to stay here again!

We were able to stay as a family of three in the grass-roof cottage we’d been eyeing on Instagram. At the end of a slope winding through the trees, the cottage came into view, and our child was thrilled. The open-plan living room has large windows with soothing greenery stretching out before you. Our child ran up to the second-floor bedroom, dove onto the comfy bed, and excitedly declared, “I’m sleeping here tonight!” There were three bedrooms, each with two beds. When we went for a walk around the garden, countless flowers were in bloom and it felt like a small village surrounding a pond. There’s a Baby Troll house and a Yoshibo house, and you can even go inside. The stamp rally is fun too—collect all six stamps in the garden while checking the map, reach the goal, and you get a reward! At the back of the garden there’s also a wooden deck where you can relax at your leisure. Enjoy coffee slowly—or like me, unwind with a beer while taking in the view. While we adults took it easy, our child had little adventures around the pond—chasing dragonflies and butterflies, spotting fish in the water, even trying to catch frogs—and looked like they were having an amazing time. In the evening: BBQ! This time we brought our own ingredients and borrowed the BBQ set on the terrace. My wife and child were both delighted. At night, the garden illuminations were beautiful—and there was even a large glowing tree! If it’s this stunning in summer, winter must be even more magical. I can’t help imagining it becoming a romantic spot for couples on winter nights… just my own daydream (laughs). The next morning, we used our stay perk ticket to buy bread at Kanel Bread across from us and enjoyed breakfast on the garden terrace—such an indulgent moment! Inside this Accommodation there’s a kitchen where you can cook. It had that coveted BALMUDA toaster and kettle; plus tableware from Arabia—irresistible for anyone who loves Scandinavian style. Even small touches made us happy: Sekkisei amenities and a ReFa hair dryer—each detail was exciting. When we went to reception for check-out, we couldn’t take our eyes off all of souvenirs—we wanted everything as keepsakes. Our child chose a dwarf piggy bank. Everyone on staff was kind and thoughtful as well; thanks to them we could truly relax and enjoy some luxurious downtime without any worries. We heard that grass roofs change their look with each season: green from spring through summer, brown in autumn, then pure white when snow falls. We’d love to come back again in another season.

We stayed for one night as a family. We had no contact with the staff; the door unlocked after we entered the code sent by email. The place felt very clean, with designer furniture and refined furnishings neatly arranged, making us feel like celebrities. The refrigerator was stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks, along with a Dolce Gusto machine and tea, so even without meeting any staff we could still feel their hospitality. It also seemed possible to use the washing machine, and even single-use detergent was provided. Above all, our child was delighted with the sparkling, stylish Room. From the outside, the rusty window frames gave it a somewhat run-down look, and that contrast made it even more exciting—an amazing experience.
