It was quiet and relaxing! Thank you very much. The kitchenware was well-equipped, which was very helpful! It would have been nice to have some plastic wrap, though! I should have brought some myself. Thank you for your hospitality.

The weather wasn’t very good, so I checked in feeling a bit worried, but the staff welcomed us warmly and we had a very pleasant stay. We chose the bring-your-own BBQ Plan with no meals in a cabin, and since we were told the BBQ terrace didn’t have a roof, we brought a tarp just in case of rain. There was a small covered area, so we were able to use the tarp to stay dry and enjoy a wonderful BBQ while listening to the rain and taking in the scenery. With a meal-included Plan, it seems you can enjoy delicious food in a covered space, so choosing meals might mean you don’t have to worry about rain. Inside the cabin, the furniture and Facility were new, and it was very comfortable. Since there was no bathtub, I rated the Onsen/bath category as 3. I love baths, so it would have been even better with a bathtub. There is an Onsen nearby, but you need to drive there—so if you drink alcohol at dinner time, it might be difficult. After the BBQ, we enjoyed fireworks with our child. At night there is no on-site manager, but if you contact them via LINE they reply promptly, which was reassuring. In the morning when we realized we were missing something, they even brought it all the way to our cabin—very kind of them. We heard that deer sometimes come by, so we looked for them excitedly but couldn’t find any—too bad. Next time we stay here again, I hope we’ll be able to spot them. Because of the rain there were no other guests staying at that time, but thank you very much for welcoming us so warmly.

I thought this was a very clean Accommodation with a great selection of dog-friendly items, and I would recommend it to dog lovers. I’d like to stay here again the next time I visit Kyoto. Overall, I’m satisfied, but if I mention a few things that were missing: Most of what you need for cooking in the Room is provided, but if guests want to cook hot pot in the Room, it would be helpful to have a portable gas stove (or an IH portable cooktop if open flames are not allowed for safety reasons) and a clay pot. Also, there were no donburi bowls for eating udon, ramen, or soba, so I’d like you to add those as well. Also, among the amenities, I would like bath salts.

I stayed for one night with a friend. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, knitting while watching dramas, and spending time at a relaxed pace surrounded by nature! The cabin was well-equipped with various utensils and seasonings, which was very convenient. Additionally, the distance from neighboring cabins allowed us to enjoy our stay without worrying about others. I would love to visit other SANU locations as well!

It feels just like being at home, truly a comfortable accommodation. This is my second stay, and it’s a reliable place to stay. The breakfast portion was just right. The owner’s hospitality is excellent!

This was my first time staying with SANU! Karuizawa 1st is a quiet place surrounded by nature, and from the moment I arrived, the crisp, clear air immediately put me at ease. The Room is spacious and relaxing, with plenty of natural light through the large windows and beautiful views outside. Time felt like it slowed down, and I was able to forget the busyness of everyday life and truly recharge. I relaxed so much that I didn’t even make time for a campfire, so I’d love to come back again... haha

The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, which was greatly appreciated. The Facility is a bit old, but it is well maintained and clean.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. My husband stays here every month. He says the bed is very comfortable, so he often books a Multiple Night Stay and sleeps very well. However, it seems some amenities are sometimes not replenished—for example, when he tried to use the fabric freshener, it was empty. If you will continue to provide it, we would appreciate it if you could refill it. Thank you as always!

Since it was a rainy day, we spent a lot of time relaxing in the Room, and it was great that the surroundings were very quiet. I initially thought there was no kettle in the Room, but when I asked, I was able to borrow one, which I really appreciated. We had a relaxing weekend with our family. Thank you very much.

I chose this Hotel after reading Reviews myself. When I called to let them know I would be checking in late, the staff response was excellent and very courteous. The Room felt clean and was good. The bath had a spacious tub, and the amenities were also good. The nightwear was comfortable as well, and I thought it was a recommended Hotel. One disappointing point: the call starts with an automated message, which felt a bit bothersome.

The autumn leaves every year are unfortunately accompanied by bad weather, but this is my first time at the holiday village. The bath, room, and meals were excellent with no complaints. The buffet selection was great, and the delicious food, post-bath coffee, and ice cream were also enjoyable. It would have been even better with good weather to enjoy Mount Bandai together, but I was still satisfied.

This was my first stay, and it offered far more freedom than a Business Hotel with No Meals Included. The sunset over the sea in the evening was amazing! I enjoyed a blissful time sipping freshly brewed drip coffee. Great value—100 out of 100.

Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in October 2025. Check-in was at a location separate from the accommodation, but they kindly explained the accommodation details and confirmed pet-related matters. Although driving was a bit tense due to narrow roads, we arrived safely without getting lost. The room was thoroughly cleaned, equipped with air purifiers and deodorizing machines in each room, ensuring good ventilation. The space was comfortable for both our family and our pet to enjoy together. During our stay, we opted for one breakfast and one dinner as an add-on option, allowing us to savor Kyoto's catering cuisine while enjoying a relaxing meal in the room. This trip to Kyoto left my family very satisfied with their stay, which made me truly happy as well.

We were truly impressed by the hostess’s warm and wonderful personality. The Room, toilet, and bath were all kept very clean, so we had a comfortable stay. She also recommended a popular local bakery, which we were able to visit. We even got to see her daughter in a yukata, which added an extra touch of charm to the summer fireworks. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again.

Stylish interior, clean kitchen, fresh bed sheets—our family of five had a very comfortable stay. The washer-dryer was a lifesaver, especially since it rained during our visit. A new sponge was provided in the kitchen (though we unknowingly bought one from the convenience store and used it). Please note that the frosted glass door in the changing area is somewhat see-through, so women may want to be cautious when undressing nearby. Also, the entrance glass offers a clear view inside! We’d love to stay here again. Thank you!

This summer, we decided to travel from hot Tokyo to Karuizawa, and while searching for a Hotel, we found HACIENDA, which had just opened, and stayed there. It’s directly connected to the station, which is very convenient. As soon as we stepped inside, it was quiet and beautifully designed; the warmth and scent of the wood were truly soothing. The Room was clean, spotless, and spacious—an extremely comfortable space. The welcome herbal tea was delicious. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly. The amenities were also so cute that they lifted my mood. We could use the adjacent spa and lounge as many times as we wanted during our stay—what a wonderful Accommodation perk! My husband said the sauna and bath were amazing and went in again and again. We’ve been saying as a couple, “We want to make this our go-to place for summer trips.” Not only in summer—we’d love to visit again in a different season. All of the staff were kind with just the right level of attentiveness. I usually get tired from staying at Hotels, but here I was able to relax without feeling drained. Thank you very much for all your thoughtful care.

We used this place for a summer getaway and a workcation. Miyota is less crowded than Karuizawa, with Tsuruya nearby and the station within walking distance, which was very convenient. It’s an ordinary local town with few tourist attractions around, so it doesn’t really feel like a resort. The property is spacious, well equipped with amenities, and suitable for self-catering. It was much cooler than Tokyo, and we were able to spend our time quietly. Since it’s a regular house along a main road, it’s best not to expect the atmosphere of a lodge or villa surrounded by nature.

My first trip to Fukui, and my first time driving on snowy roads. I headed there feeling anxious because a heavy snow warning was in effect, but I’m truly glad I went. We stayed for one night and two days to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. The snowy scenery was so beautiful—I could have watched it forever—and we had such a wonderful time. At night, we snuggled up with an electric blanket and slept warmly. In the morning, we played in the snow together, and the jacuzzi was so amazing that we used it twice! We didn’t use the meal service; instead, we shopped near the station, brought everything back, and cooked for ourselves. There were plenty of seasonings available too, so we really enjoyed cooking together. No Meals Included is highly recommended. It was such a wonderful Accommodation that I almost didn’t want anyone else to know about it. The staff member Mima was very kind—by morning they had cleared the snow off our car and even shoveled snow for us—so we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. We’d love to visit again. Thank you very much!!

This was my first stay in three years. I originally had a Reservation at another Hotel, but my stay here three years ago was so wonderful that I decided to change it to this Accommodation. The Room was stylish and spotless, and it was pure bliss to sip coffee while gazing out the window at the Onomichi Channel. The front desk staff were also very kind. I would love to stay again.
