I have stayed at NIPPONIA in other locations before, but we chose this Accommodation because it is close to Chichibugahama Beach. It seems well suited for longer stays, with a spacious kitchen that was very easy to use. The two-story maisonette layout also provided plenty of privacy; the three of us stayed as a family and each of us could relax at our own pace. We could walk to Chichibugahama Beach, and although it was extremely hot, we enjoyed morning and evening walks. Since dining options are a bit far away, it was slightly inconvenient without a car. It might be nice if in-Room dining were available as an option as well. This time we also ordered an optional cake, and they kindly consulted with us from the planning stage, making it a wonderful birthday and trip with great memories. I would love to come back and take it easy again in another season.

For my first trip to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, I chose this style of stay, and it was absolutely the right choice. It felt like my own home—spacious and relaxing—and my friend and I enjoyed two nights experiencing life in Kurashiki. It’s located within the Bikan area and close to Achi Shrine, so it’s convenient for sightseeing, yet it was very quiet. Since amenities are different from a Hotel, you’ll need to keep that in mind, and there is no TV as well. Still, it’s a wonderful house that I’d love to visit again if I have the chance.

We went touring around the Miyama area and stayed at this Accommodation for one night with two friends. It’s in a place with amazing views, and the Accommodation was clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated with artwork. There is a bath on the second floor, and soaking in it while looking out at the mountains was absolutely wonderful. For dinner, we made a special request and they prepared amago trout for us; the chicken hot pot and wild boar were incredibly delicious. The view while dining was also very nice. Breakfast was Japanese-style, and the local ingredients were excellent. The hosts were very kind and easy to talk to, and we truly appreciate all their help. Even though it was just one night, it was deeply relaxing—we could take our time, and it turned into an amazing day. Since the scenery changes with each season, we definitely want to stay at this Accommodation again! We also received jam and a penlight as souvenirs.

We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our grandson's 2nd birthday. The spacious layout was more than enough for five people, and we were thrilled with the large outdoor area. The barbecue facilities, bath, sauna, and open-air bath were all spotless and perfect. The couple who welcomed us were incredibly kind, making our stay very pleasant. At night, we even enjoyed a snowy (sleet) view as a delightful surprise—likely the first snow experience for our grandson. Thank you so much for everything!

Located in a quiet residential area, the nights are peaceful—you’ll hear little more than the sound of insects. On clear days, you can also enjoy a sky full of stars. The Facilities and amenities are very well stocked, including several items not listed on the website. Everything is high quality and thoughtfully selected. We especially appreciated the gas dryer, which dried clothes quickly and was extremely useful for us since we did marine activities every day. The owner couple were also very kind, and they kindly gave us a loaf of local brown sugar bread from a neighborhood bakery, which made for a delicious breakfast during our stay. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a family trip. This Accommodation is located in a small port town and has been beautifully renovated, with warm wooden touches and stylish, coordinated furniture and appliances. The futons were Airweave and very comfortable to sleep on. The toilet and shower room were also clean and well designed, making them comfortable to use. There was an outdoor space to hang swimsuits and other items, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was soup and bread—just the right amount. We were told the soup uses local vegetables. The parking entrance is quite steep, so cars with lowered suspension may scrape. Overall, it made for a great Izu trip, and it’s an Accommodation we’d like to visit again.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay about a week ago. The Room was the perfect size for two, with simple yet refined interiors and a very clean feel. The bath was made of wood, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful soak without even going to an Onsen. Since our Room had a kitchen, we cooked and ate ingredients we bought at a roadside station. In the beautifully maintained garden with great views, there were benches and tables, so we had breakfast there and truly enjoyed it while feeling close to nature—it was very satisfying. At night, we could also gaze at Aso’s quiet, beautiful starry sky. What made our stay even better was how wonderful the owner is as a person. They were genuinely kind and thoughtfully suggested travel plans in Kumamoto and Miyazaki tailored to us. They also introduced us to truly delicious restaurants and lovely places that you can’t find in guidebooks or on Instagram. (Actually, during our trip in Aso I lost my engagement ring, and because on the last day we returned to Aso after visiting Takachiho Gorge, we were able to go to the recommended bakery and Oshitoishi Hill—and miraculously, I found my engagement ring!) The rice balls made from their carefully selected rice were also exceptional. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories in Aso. We would love to stay again!

Since it was a rainy day, we spent a lot of time relaxing in the Room, and it was great that the surroundings were very quiet. I initially thought there was no kettle in the Room, but when I asked, I was able to borrow one, which I really appreciated. We had a relaxing weekend with our family. Thank you very much.

We were able to stay as a family of three in the grass-roof cottage we’d been eyeing on Instagram. At the end of a slope winding through the trees, the cottage came into view, and our child was thrilled. The open-plan living room has large windows with soothing greenery stretching out before you. Our child ran up to the second-floor bedroom, dove onto the comfy bed, and excitedly declared, “I’m sleeping here tonight!” There were three bedrooms, each with two beds. When we went for a walk around the garden, countless flowers were in bloom and it felt like a small village surrounding a pond. There’s a Baby Troll house and a Yoshibo house, and you can even go inside. The stamp rally is fun too—collect all six stamps in the garden while checking the map, reach the goal, and you get a reward! At the back of the garden there’s also a wooden deck where you can relax at your leisure. Enjoy coffee slowly—or like me, unwind with a beer while taking in the view. While we adults took it easy, our child had little adventures around the pond—chasing dragonflies and butterflies, spotting fish in the water, even trying to catch frogs—and looked like they were having an amazing time. In the evening: BBQ! This time we brought our own ingredients and borrowed the BBQ set on the terrace. My wife and child were both delighted. At night, the garden illuminations were beautiful—and there was even a large glowing tree! If it’s this stunning in summer, winter must be even more magical. I can’t help imagining it becoming a romantic spot for couples on winter nights… just my own daydream (laughs). The next morning, we used our stay perk ticket to buy bread at Kanel Bread across from us and enjoyed breakfast on the garden terrace—such an indulgent moment! Inside this Accommodation there’s a kitchen where you can cook. It had that coveted BALMUDA toaster and kettle; plus tableware from Arabia—irresistible for anyone who loves Scandinavian style. Even small touches made us happy: Sekkisei amenities and a ReFa hair dryer—each detail was exciting. When we went to reception for check-out, we couldn’t take our eyes off all of souvenirs—we wanted everything as keepsakes. Our child chose a dwarf piggy bank. Everyone on staff was kind and thoughtful as well; thanks to them we could truly relax and enjoy some luxurious downtime without any worries. We heard that grass roofs change their look with each season: green from spring through summer, brown in autumn, then pure white when snow falls. We’d love to come back again in another season.

The Room was simple and thoughtfully designed for ease of use. The drink service in the lounge was satisfying. The adjacent roadside station "Ajimu no Sato" was convenient for shopping and dining.

It was very clean and well maintained. All of the staff were friendly and made a great impression. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We were truly impressed by the hostess’s warm and wonderful personality. The Room, toilet, and bath were all kept very clean, so we had a comfortable stay. She also recommended a popular local bakery, which we were able to visit. We even got to see her daughter in a yukata, which added an extra touch of charm to the summer fireworks. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again.

This was my second stay. Since the Room was on the second floor, I wasn’t thrilled about taking the stairs at first, but the steps were low and easy to climb. The large windows on both sides of the hallway made it very bright and lovely. It was also my first time noticing the sculpture in the back. Breakfast included a vegetable juice, but I would have liked milk as well. The nearby Onsen was great, and the whole town is wonderful.

We were completely satisfied with everything. In particular, the dinner ingredients you prepared were excellent, and thanks to your careful guidance on how to grill them, we were able to cook even the thick cuts of meat perfectly and enjoy them. We stayed with our dog, who was thrilled by the spacious lawn and pond and happily played throughout our stay. Both our dog and we were able to relax and have a wonderful time. We would love to visit again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

The friendly owner, his wife, and their children were wonderful. They shared so much helpful information that our trip to Iki became truly fulfilling. Iki and this Accommodation have become very special places for me. We booked breakfast only, but we thoroughly enjoyed the flavors of Iki from the morning and were completely satisfied. Stayed for one night over the weekend. Reserved the heated pool and spent the entire stay enjoying it morning, noon, and night. In the evening, we had a BBQ, and in the morning, we cooked with locally sourced ingredients using bread purchased from a nearby bakery. The view of trees, pool, sea, blue sky through glass windows, and even the sound of Enoden trains created an extraordinary atmosphere that felt luxurious. The room was well-equipped with magazines, pool toys, a Switch console, dishes and glasses, cooking utensils, a jacuzzi—everything you could need—making time fly by. I would love to visit again!

We stayed at the Ryokan during summer vacation. The interior was very beautiful, and everything was clean. The bath had a lovely fragrance and was very relaxing. The staff were kind and took great care of us. We definitely want to visit again! Thank you so much!

We stayed as a family. Surrounded by nature and free of unnecessary distractions, we were able to forget everyday life and truly relax. There is a walking path around Lake Shirakaba, so in the morning we enjoyed a stroll with our child while taking in the lake views. It’s recommended for those who want to take it easy without overpacking their schedule.
