I originally planned to stay for one night and then move to another Accommodation, but it was so comfortable that I extended my stay for a Multiple Night Stay. The property was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was carefully prepared, and on the second day they changed the menu. They also provided options for children. During my stay, I enjoyed coffee, and in the evening I had a little alcohol as well. It was a wonderful stay. The view from the Room was great, and the Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Thank you very much.

I have stayed in Shuzenji at Yagyu-no-Sho and at Sora next door, but this was my first stay at Asaba. 　The moment I arrived and stepped into the entrance, a pond and a Noh stage opened up before me—an overwhelming view. I also noticed the pleasant scent of wood and the crisp, refined air. I assume everything is kept impeccably clean. Our Room was in the second-lowest price range, but it still had a view of the Noh stage, and with two adjoining rooms it felt very comfortable. 　Both the staff member who guided us to our Room and handled check-in, and the attendant who served dinner and breakfast, were courteous yet pleasantly friendly, which helped me relax. Some luxury top-tier Accommodations have staff who make guests feel tense, but that was not the case here. 　Dinner made it clear that each dish was prepared with great care. The soft-shelled turtle winter melon soup and the horse mackerel sashimi were outstanding. However, as others have mentioned, since the grilled dish was sweetfish and the rice was also sweetfish rice, I would have preferred a sea fish for the grilled course. 　I used the large public bath about twice without running into anyone, so I could unwind in peace. The in-room bath was also very comfortable. I spent time in the salon before dinner on day one and after breakfast on day two; it was wonderfully quiet there, so I could relax while looking out over the pond and Noh stage. 　I would like to stay again in a different season.

This was my first stay here. From the moment I arrived at the Hotel, the staff’s hospitality at the entrance was so attentive that it’s impossible to compare with other hotels. When I entered my Room, it was spotless—not a speck of dust—and I was truly impressed by the outstanding skill of the housekeeping team. In the evening, I used in-room dining and had grilled vegetables, soup, and focaccia. Everything was absolutely delicious and genuinely moving. If you stay here, I highly recommend trying in-room dining. This time I booked a Plan with breakfast included, so I enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. There were three options to choose from, and I felt it’s a menu loved by guests of all ages. I traveled here from Tohoku, and it took quite a bit of time and money—but this was an exceptional Hotel that still made me think, “I want to stay here anyway!” Thank you very much for taking such great care of me during my stay.

This is a small Ryokan with a strong sense of history, and as soon as you step through the entrance, you are welcomed by a classic Japanese Ryokan that blends beautifully with nature. The attentive service from the staff and the view of Kakusenkei Gorge from the Room made for a wonderful welcome. The Onsen is also small, but it was calm and very relaxing. Most impressive of all was the dining experience—every detail, from the food to the presentation and tableware, was outstanding. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to.

After retiring, my spouse and I have been enjoying traveling since we couldn’t take much time off when we were working. Hakone is close so we visit from time to time, and we found a wonderful Hotel. The staff service, meals, and Onsen were all excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay. It was raining that day, so I called to ask if we could check in early; they replied that because of the rain they were preparing our Room earlier. We headed there right away. There isn’t much variety in welcome drinks, but we could relax in the Room, and I was surprised by how large the bath in the Room was. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. 　It’s a Hotel where you’ll want to take your time until checkout. Thank you very much.

We stayed here last year and had such a wonderful time that we definitely wanted to come back. This year, we chose our travel destination mainly because we wanted to stay at this Accommodation again, and it did not disappoint. Our Room had an indoor bath, but the open-air bath was so relaxing that we never even found time to use the indoor one (laughs). This is truly an Accommodation we want to return to again. We are a couple in our 70s who enjoy driving and hiking. This time, we planned to walk the Goshikinuma hiking course and stayed at Shikisai Ikkiryoku in Bandai-Atami Onsen. With such high Review ratings, we had certain expectations, and it turned out to be a Ryokan that truly satisfied us. The staff’s hospitality and service were genuinely outstanding. From check-in and reception to being escorted to our Room and shown around, they spoke to us at just the right moments, which completely eased any anxiety about staying for the first time. We were also deeply moved when they saw us off at departure. The entire building felt very clean. It is described as a long-established Ryokan with over 100 years of history, but rather than feeling old, it had a dignified atmosphere that we found wonderful. After relaxing in the Onsen, the meals were excellent in both quality and quantity, and we thoroughly enjoyed beer and sake as well. After an early-morning bath, we took a walk around the garden. We also enjoyed viewing the garden from inside while having coffee—both experiences were wonderful. There were many autographed boards from famous guests displayed along the corridors, which was quite enjoyable. It reminded both my wife and me of how hospitality and service used to be at traditional Ryokan—“Yes, this is how it was!” As we celebrate our golden wedding anniversary this year, this became one of our most memorable stays during our travels. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

The Room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and I was able to rest well. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I felt refreshed both physically and mentally. All of the staff were courteous and pleasant, and I’m glad I chose this Hotel. I would love to visit again.

This was my first trip to Sendai, and I also visited the Matsushima area for the first time. From the hospitality to how well-stocked the amenities were, everything exceeded my expectations, and the view from the room was wonderful. The meals were also very delicious. I did notice a few small flies in my room on the 4th floor, but other than that I was satisfied.

Because I was traveling with my elderly mother (in her 80s, with lower back pain), I consulted in advance, and they provided a rollaway bed in our Room and also brought in a table for in-room dining. Instead of taking the garden path with stairs to the entrance as usual, a staff member picked us up by car at the parking lot, and we entered through the rear entrance on the 4th floor. Since our Room had a private bath, my mother felt at ease and was able to soak comfortably. Even when the water was hot, she could adjust it with cold water and enjoy several baths. The meals were on the Standard Plan, but every dish was easy to eat, delicious, and more than enough in quantity. The trainee also explained each dish carefully and kindly offered to take photos for us. We were able to relax very peacefully during our stay. Just one thing: because there was a step down at the toilet entrance, I felt it might be a little unsafe for elderly guests; it would be better if it were flat or had a ramp. This time we spent most of our time in the Room, but if we have another opportunity to stay again, we would like to enjoy the garden and the open-air bath as well.

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

As a couple in our 40s, we visited to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday fatigue. We chose a Room with a balcony so we could relax and watch the sky… but across from us, the torn shoji screens of what seemed to be a Hotel that is no longer operating were visible… at night it felt a bit like a test of courage, so we couldn’t go out… lol. Other than that, the food and baths were wonderful, and there was absolutely no sense of crowds—choosing this small Accommodation was exactly the right decision. After dinner, we went to the riverside about a 5-minute walk away, and it happened to be firefly season. We were both thrilled to see real fireflies for the first time…! The whole village was quiet, and compared with Tokyo it was cool in the mornings and evenings. In the morning we enjoyed a gentle-on-the-body, delicious breakfast. We truly felt refreshed from the bottom of our hearts. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

I loved everything—the location of the Accommodation, the beautiful and calming interior, the spacious and impeccably clean Room with a semi-open-air bath, and the lush Japanese-style garden full of greenery. We chose the “Izu Seasonal Kaiseki” Plan, and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding in quality and generous in portion size. The free-flowing Onsen water could be enjoyed at our leisure in the private open-air bath, the large public bath, and in our Room. The Onsen water—said to be 120°C just five minutes earlier—was carefully temperature-controlled so it reached the tub at a perfect temperature: neither too hot nor too lukewarm. I also appreciated the thoughtful services such as matcha tea and traditional sweets at check-in, a pot of iced water delivered to the Room during dinner, and sherbet or coffee served in the lobby after bathing—but above all, what impressed me most was the attentive hospitality of every staff member. With unstable weather and days of rain leading up to our stay—and rain forecast for our dates—I was worried at first. Fortunately, we had good weather for both days we were there, and staying at such a wonderful Accommodation with such high service standards made this trip truly relaxing. Thank you very much. Of course I would love to return here again, and I also feel like visiting “Izu Kawazu-hama Isoaruki no Yuyado Shiogumo” and “Omuro no Mori Gyokusui.”

Both breakfast and dinner were exceptionally delicious, and we were completely satisfied. The view from the lounge was wonderful. From the in-room scenic bath, we could look out over the sea, and from the living area we could see airplanes up close. In the open-air bath of the large public bath, we could look up at planes just before landing, and were truly impressed by how powerful it was. We look forward to visiting again next year after the renovations are completed.

The garden was magnificent. The bath was also an Onsen that warmed us to the core, and the meals were very delicious. We would definitely like to stay again. The cake included with the anniversary Plan was exceptionally good, and enjoying it with the complimentary coffee made for a truly happy time.

We arrived by taxi from Hakodate Airport. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, which is convenient. The meals were plentiful, and the squid in particular was delicious. It’s best not to expect much in terms of the view from the Room. There are two convenience stores nearby, and the refrigerator was empty so we could use it freely. The Onsen was excellent, with smooth, light water. Everyone—from the front desk to meal service and futon setup—was friendly and always smiling, which was wonderful. We will stay here again when we visit Hakodate.

5 minutes from Suidobashi Station and within 10 minutes of Tokyo Dome. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores between the Dome and the Hotel, so it’s very convenient, yet the area around the Hotel is quiet. On the 3rd floor, there is a relaxation room with massage chairs available free of charge 24 hours a day (perfect for relieving fatigue), as well as a refresh lounge (coffee served during designated hours). The Western-style breakfast buffet was truly delicious—roast beef, chicken ham, and smoked salmon were all perfectly seasoned, tender, and carefully prepared. The apple pastries and French toast were also tasty without being overly sweet. (I’d also like to try the limited-quantity Japanese breakfast or use it for lunch only.) The front desk staff and the breakfast venue staff were both excellent, and I would like to stay again. The small gardens glistening in the rain were lovely everywhere, turning bad weather into something positive. I rated it 4 only because there is no large public bath and the bathroom has a combined bath/toilet layout; personally, it didn’t bother me at all. I felt this Hotel offers thoughtful touches throughout—from the soft comfort of the pajamas to attentive details. Thank you for letting me relax until check-out at 11:00.

I had wanted to visit ever since I saw it on a travel TV show. The open-air bath attached to the Room was very spacious, and the Onsen water felt gentle and wonderful. The ayu (sweetfish) I tried for the first time this year was also very fresh, and the dishes made with local vegetables as well as the sake lees and fruit pudding were delicious. The staff member in charge of our Room was pleasant, and while we were having breakfast, they put away the futons and tidied everything up nicely, so we could relax with a cup of coffee. My husband and I are also talking about coming again in winter.

Because it was close to the station, it was very convenient to leave our luggage and easily head out by bus or train to sightseeing spots a little farther away. Since the Room had a private bath, we could relax without worrying about others, and the in-room foot massager was also provided, which helped relieve travel fatigue and was great.

As always, the meals were delicious, and the Onsen was gentle on the body with a perfect temperature. It was also my first time dining in a second-floor private dining Room, and the open atrium made it easy to appreciate the main building’s traditional architecture. However, this time the meal service was a bit disappointing: tea didn’t come unless we asked for it, and the explanations of the dishes were hard to follow. I understand they may still be inexperienced, but for an Accommodation that values its cuisine, I hope more care will be taken in how guests are attended to during meals. That said, it’s still an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.
