It was a truly wonderful Hotel. Not only the Onsen, but also the Room interior and the restaurant atmosphere blended Japanese elements with a touch of elegance, and we thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious setting. During our stay, we needed to visit a hospital, and the staff kindly found one for us and promptly arranged a taxi, which was a great help. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again.

This was my first stay here to celebrate a friend. Thank you for the welcome fruit and the celebration plate. The view of the Kamo River from our Room was outstanding. For breakfast, I chose the Japanese set meal, and I was also able to enjoy items from the buffet, which I was very satisfied with. The Yuge Farm yogurt was especially delicious. The art tour was also excellent. By the way, I don’t think we received the Diamond member amenity…

I surprised my wife, who loves the countryside, with a stay here. She was very happy and said she’d like to come back next time with her parents.

It was a wonderful Ryokan, with outstanding architecture and Rooms. The Japanese-modern space, where different materials blend beautifully, was truly impressive. Walking barefoot indoors let us experience the feeling of staying in a traditional house with all five senses. Both the meals and the hospitality were excellent. In the morning, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the private family bath. The location was also great, making it easy to enjoy visiting multiple hot springs smoothly.

We stayed for two nights with our dog. The treats, nearby walking routes, and a dog bed were all well provided. We had a very comfortable stay. The only thing we noticed was road noise. The Accommodation is in a quiet residential area, but because the bedroom faces the street, we could hear passing cars at night and woke up several times. The built-in hinoki bath was wonderful with soft water, but Gokoyu, a 5-minute walk away, was excellent. Thank you very much.

Perhaps because it’s tucked away down a narrow alley, it was surprisingly quiet. The Room is very compact and truly relaxing. The bathroom and fixtures were spotless. All the light switches were conveniently grouped by the pillow, which made them easy to use. I write from time to time, and I felt I could really make progress here. Next time, I’d love to stay in and get some work done. For breakfast, I took a 20-minute walk and enjoyed a Japanese-style breakfast at their affiliated “THE MACHIYA LOUNGE.” I was able to go without a Reservation. (The photo shows the Japanese breakfast at “THE MACHIYA LOUNGE.”) The beautifully arranged small dishes were outstanding, and I really got to experience the charm of a machiya townhouse. All of the staff were very kind. I highly recommend this place as well. In the end, I left something behind at the Hotel and only noticed after checkout, but they handled it with great care and courtesy. Thank you very much. I would definitely like to stay again.

The room was very spacious and clean, located within 1 kilometer of Shijo, with an Onsen available. It was affordable and offered great value for money. I would love to stay at this Hotel again!

With its historic ambiance, carefully prepared meals, and relaxing moments spent gazing out at the garden, it was a truly soothing stay.

Simple yet comfortable rooms, many of which have separate bathrooms and washbasins. Although there are no windows, the lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere. There is also a space on the floor where you can enjoy tea and unwind. Breakfast is served in two shifts, starting at 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, with each shift lasting 30 minutes, which was surprising. It would have been helpful if this detail was clearly explained during the Reservation process. However, since there seemed to be plenty of seating available, we were not rushed even after the designated time had passed. Still, it made for a slightly hurried morning. The location is excellent with many tourist attractions and restaurants within walking distance.

We had a wonderful time in the beautiful garden and Room. My daughter was also very happy. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

I was able to enjoy a quiet, relaxing Onsen retreat at my own pace. The host of the Accommodation was very kind, and the quality of the Onsen was excellent. I had also made a Reservation for next week, but an urgent matter came up and I can no longer go. I’m very disappointed. In the near future, I would like to make another Reservation.

I stayed here while snow was gently falling. It was a huge help that they stored my luggage both before and after check-in. I stayed in Room 203. It’s a room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The room was very spacious, with a latest-model TV, a ReFa showerhead, a wide vanity, and a bathtub with a washing area. The toilet was fully automatic as well—everything was excellent. All amenities were MIKIMOTO. My hair usually feels rough when I use Hotel shampoo, but at this Accommodation it stayed smooth and silky. There is an guests-only lounge, and it was a lovely service that coffee, tea, and more were available freely until midnight. I also appreciated being able to take drinks back to my Room. I had coffee at check-in, and it matched my taste perfectly—really delicious. The breakfast I had been looking forward to was 100/100. I’ve eaten at luxury Hotels before, but this may have been the best I’ve ever had. Everything was wonderful, but what especially stood out were the yuzu-scented okara (unohana), fu dengaku, the white-dashi miso soup, and the dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet). When I mentioned it was my birthday this time, they decorated the guest room beautifully and even offered matcha—such thoughtful hospitality. All staff members were incredibly kind, with such a warm and homey atmosphere that made it easy to talk to them. Watching how warmly they treated other guests also made me feel happy. I think this is the best Accommodation—one that welcomes you warmly whether it’s for a special occasion or not. Next time I visit, I’ll come specifically to enjoy an unhurried Hotel stay. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The kaiseki dinner, in particular, truly moved me—it was the most delicious I have had in years. Each dish was carefully prepared, and both the flavors and presentation were outstanding. I would highly recommend it to everyone. My sincere thanks to the head chef for preparing such an exceptional meal. The Onsen was also lovely, with a great atmosphere, and I was able to relax and unwind. However, I was a little disappointed that the women’s bathing hours were only from 17:00 to 20:00. I would have been even happier if it had been available for longer. The Room was clean and comfortable, and overall it felt like a calm, private space that I really enjoyed. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The satoyama scenery and the private bath reserved exclusively for guests were wonderful. This bath is not lukewarm like the one used by day-trip visitors. I was completely satisfied except that the Room does not have a toilet or washbasin, so I didn’t like having to fill the kettle with water at the washbasin in the shared restroom.

This was my second visit, and the meals were still delicious. The Onsen was clean, and I could relax and enjoy it at my own pace.

There is a guide to the Accommodation, and there was a small sign that said “ZEN,” but the building was hard to see from outside, so I wasn’t sure I was in the right place and got lost at first. After climbing the stairs surrounded by greenery, I finally reached a beautiful standalone Accommodation and felt relieved. In reality, it’s not possible to drive into the parking area; you can only park in the space in front of it. It gets very dark at night, so if it’s your first time, it may be hard to find—checking in while it’s still daylight is recommended. Inside, the space feels open and airy, and relaxing on the outdoor chairs was a real luxury. It was a bit disappointing that mornings and evenings were still chilly. There is a wood-burning stove, but I missed that it requires advance Reservation and an additional fee. Since it wasn’t really stove season anyway, I imagine it would be excellent in winter. There also seemed to be a beer server (advance Reservation?), as well as a kitchen and electric cooktop, so self-catering is possible—I probably just wasn’t prepared enough to make full use of everything. I think satisfaction would be even higher with a Multiple Night Stay, especially in winter.

We stayed for one night and two days. The Accommodation is along the Kamogawa River and close to Shijo, making it a great location. Check-in was handled by staff and went smoothly. We had a Reservation for a 4th-floor Room with a Kamogawa view; the Room was spacious and very clean. Best of all, the full-height windows let you enjoy an unobstructed view of the river all to yourself. You can even soak in the bath while looking out over the Kamogawa. Coffee and water were provided, and the amenities were well stocked. The showerhead and hair dryer are ReFa, which many women will appreciate. There’s also a drum-type washing machine and a small kitchen, which would be especially convenient for inbound guests staying long term. Inside the building, you can freely access the 2nd-floor lounge and the rooftop. The rooftop has chairs and tables, so you can enjoy the Kamogawa at night while feeling the evening breeze. We ordered shojin-ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) for breakfast, and it was delicious. It was delivered to our Room by someone who seemed to be from a nearby traditional restaurant or catering shop. The location, Facility, and food were all excellent. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Kyoto in peace and quiet.

I stayed here on a trip to Arima Onsen. The parking lot is very far away, so it’s quite inconvenient without the Shuttle Service. The check-in and check-out locations are also separate, which was inconvenient, but the Facility is clean and Gin no Yu is within walking distance. It was great that I could walk to various places in the downtown area!

After arrival, we were shown to our Room without much guidance. It was a clean and spacious Room. Since this is temple lodging, the Rooms are only separated by sliding doors, so you can hear voices and other sounds clearly. Dinner was carefully prepared and very enjoyable. The rice was exceptionally delicious—better than anything I’ve had in quite a while. I usually hold back, but I finished everything (lol). The next morning I had plans and made a Reservation without breakfast, but I was asked about breakfast; when I said it wasn’t included in my Reservation, it was still recommended to me, which left me a little unsure (the rice really was that good… lol). The service was very polite throughout. Thank you for taking care of us.

It was my first time in Kyoto. The accommodation was just as I had imagined and admired. I was able to relax. The light from the skylight was pleasant. It was unfortunate that there was a water leak from the base of the showerhead.
