It was a calm, adults-only Accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere. The attentive service, guest room, and bath facilities were all high quality, and we were very satisfied. The meals were not too much—just the right amount for seniors—and truly excellent. Finally, I sincerely appreciate your honest and considerate response when I mistakenly thought I was a Diamond member. Thank you very much.

I first learned about this Accommodation in a travel magazine and had wanted to visit for years. From the moment I made my Reservation, the staff reached out several times with thoughtful messages, which felt truly warm and welcoming. I’m grateful for their kind advice on transportation as well as nearby recommended spots and restaurants. Set on a vast property, the Accommodation offers wonderful views, and I was thrilled to encounter deer while strolling around. The Onsen had excellent water quality, the Facility was well maintained, and I was able to unwind and soothe my fatigue while enjoying the scenery. A local regular I spoke with in the bath said they stay here every month—I couldn’t help but envy them. It was an outstanding Accommodation where both mind and body could fully relax. I would love to visit again. Every staff member was gentle and attentive, and their hospitality made it possible for me to truly feel at ease throughout my stay—each day felt happy. We made a Reservation to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was very calm, and it was so quiet and relaxing that we almost forgot we were in Dogo. The Onsen was wonderful, and we were amazed by the generous breakfast. We enjoyed a luxurious meal in the morning and then relaxed again in the Onsen. The hostess and all the staff provided outstanding service. We would love to stay here again.

I was impressed by every aspect of this stay. First, the food was truly outstanding. Not only were the ingredients excellent, but the menu featured an abundance of seasonal items that are hard to come by in everyday life—such as longtooth grouper (kue), Shizuoka-brand eel “Deshiko,” pike conger (hamo), kuruma prawns, and Kamo eggplant—and I was moved by each dish. There wasn’t a single miss: the dashi flavor came through beautifully, and the balance of ingredients and seasoning in every course was exquisite. The overall satisfaction was so high that it honestly felt surprising to be able to stay at this price while being served cuisine of such a high level. The Onsen was also wonderful. The bath area is new and kept very clean, so it was comfortable to use. In particular, Umenoya’s unique natural spring water at around 30°C was perfect for this hot season. Alternating it with the indoor bath at around 40°C left me feeling refreshed after bathing and made for a truly relaxing time. I highly recommend trying it this way. Above all, what left the strongest impression was the hospitality of the staff. When I accidentally dropped my chopsticks during dinner, one staff member immediately noticed and picked them up, and another staff member who saw this brought me a fresh pair. Their seamless teamwork showed how well they communicate on a daily basis, which really moved me. The proprietress has such a warm presence—always smiling and speaking to guests in a friendly way. Despite her young age, her attentiveness to guests and her awareness of everything throughout the Ryokan are exceptional; I don’t often encounter someone capable of providing hospitality at this level. It was an Accommodation that left me completely satisfied with its cuisine, Onsen, and service. I would love to return in another season to enjoy more delicious food and the Onsen again.

My friend and I stayed for one night and two days. When we arrived at the front desk to check in, an insect flew toward us and I let out a small scream, but the woman at reception smiled and said, “I’ve lived on Yakushima for a long time, but you never really get used to the insects,” which put me at ease and was very comforting. The lobby was spacious and clean, and the Room was also extremely clean with an amazing ocean view. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner; in particular, the Margherita pizza and mushroom risotto made to order by the chef were delicious. The bath also had a luxurious ocean view, and the silky-smooth water soaked into my body after all the trekking. This time we stayed only one night, but I’d love to come back and stay a bit longer next time.

Once again, our stay at Futari Komorebi was filled with joy. Over these two days, we were reminded how wonderful and comforting it is that the most important things never change. Every moment felt special—time spent in the Room and time enjoying the meals. We have already made our next Reservation, and we look forward to another delightful stay. Thank you in advance.

It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as rumored. The Onsen on the first floor was especially impressive. The service was very attentive, and since we arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled meal time, they kindly allowed us to delay it. When making the Reservation, I had ordered a birthday cake, and they also prepared a birthday melody played on a music box, a small flower basket, and even celebratory bite-sized sekihan (red bean rice) and sweets—it truly moved me.

This was our third stay. We stayed with three families, including our sons. They kindly provided a large banquet room so we could have dinner together, and we enjoyed a lively, wonderful meal. As always, we were impressed by the heartfelt dishes made with seasonal ingredients. Thanks to the attentive service down to the smallest details, we had a very comfortable stay. As expected of Kamenoi Bessou.

I stayed at Hotel Mukaitaki in Tsuchiyu Onsen. What I especially loved this time were the cuisine, the open-air bath in the Room, and the strong sense of privacy. Dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and the surf clam shabu-shabu and Fukushima beef were outstanding. The surf clam’s texture and sweetness and the rich flavor of the Fukushima beef were both excellent—these were the most memorable dishes of my stay. Above all, the open-air bath in the Room was amazing. Being able to enjoy the Onsen freely at any time without worrying about others is truly special. Perhaps because there are only a few Rooms, I hardly ran into other guests during my stay. The building was very quiet and felt extremely private. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax at an Onsen Accommodation without being concerned about other people. The staff’s thoughtfulness was also wonderful—they escorted me to and from the parking lot at both arrival and departure. They even gave me souvenir rice balls on my way home. It was warm hospitality from start to finish.

I am an Onsen enthusiast who stays over 80 nights a year, mainly in Izu. I have stayed at Kameya Keian more than 30 nights in the past, and this year I stayed for 4 nights. The cuisine was artistic in presentation, and the flavor—especially the richness of the dashi—was something no other Hotel or Ryokan can match; it was absolutely outstanding. The Onsen water quality is excellent, as expected of the historic Izunagaoka Onsen, making this a top-rated Onsen Ryokan. I will visit again.

I found this Ryokan while looking for a trip to give my boyfriend as a birthday present, also as a thank-you for his proposal. This was an important trip for me, and everything—from the hospitality to the Onsen, the food, and the Room—was wonderful. It was a truly heartwarming Ryokan. When I asked about bringing in wine as a surprise, they responded and accommodated my request promptly and with great care. I didn’t expect such thoughtful support, and I’m very grateful. In the end, he was delighted, and we were able to spend a lovely time together. While searching for a Ryokan, I saw many reviews praising the hospitality, and after staying here I completely understand why. The service from our attendant and all other staff was excellent, making this trip even more special. We also enjoyed seasonal flavors in the cuisine, and since it was served in our Room we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The words said to us at departure—“We look forward to welcoming you again in another season”—left a strong impression on me. We would love to visit again.

I had wanted, at least once, to step into “Salon Yamasato,” the private lobby lounge of Koshinosato—I've felt that way for the past 10 years. As we reached our 60th birthdays as a couple, we decided to make a Reservation and treat ourselves at this milestone. We truly loved the cuisine, amenities, and atmosphere. I was deeply impressed by the high-quality meals—it was an Accommodation with impeccable hospitality in every way. Also, the macarons and gelato at Kaho’s salon were absolutely top-class delicious—I couldn’t stop eating them. The flavor stayed with me, and I kept wondering what brand they were. It made me strongly want to come back again. Thank you very much. The concierge staff were also incredibly kind—simply wonderful.

I was truly impressed by the silky, rich quality of the Onsen water. It felt so pleasant that I wanted to keep touching my skin in the bath forever—it's rare to find water like this. After arriving, I crossed the bridge and went for a walk; the sound of cicadas was wonderful, and I ended up walking for about an hour. You can also go down to the river, which is another highly recommended spot. The meals were very generous, and I regret that I couldn’t finish everything. I’d be happy if there were an option for a smaller portion with a higher-quality course menu. The sweetfish and bonito were delicious as well. Thank you very much.

This time, I stayed in a Heritage balcony Room. I wondered if it might be too hot this season, but the evening breeze was pleasant, and I was able to relax with drinks from room service. For dinner, I dined at Toh-Ka-Lin, and the next morning I had breakfast at Nouvelle Epoque. Everything—from delicious dining to the gym, spa, and pool—was available within the Hotel, so I could truly unwind and enjoy a genuinely luxurious stay. The entire property was clean and quiet throughout, and the staff’s hospitality struck the perfect balance: not too close or too distant, yet always attentive with thoughtful care. An unexpected issue came up during my stay, but even then the Hotel team responded with kindness and meticulous consideration. It reminded me once again of how exceptional Japanese Hotels are—especially Okura. I would love to visit again.

We stayed for one night in Yayoi in July with our dog as a couple. We’ve stayed at many dog-friendly Accommodations, and this is the best one for us. I especially love sulfur Onsen, and while other dog-friendly Accommodations we’ve stayed at had Onsen, none had sulfur springs. Here, there is also a free-flowing natural hot spring bath in the Room, so we didn’t have to leave our dog waiting to go to a public bath. Even though many places don’t allow dogs in the bathroom area, this Accommodation provided a dog bathtub, shampoo, and towels—I've never stayed anywhere so thoughtful. Our senior large dog kept coming to watch us enjoy the Onsen with curiosity. Just walking through the spilled water from the free-flowing sulfur spring at the washing area turned his rough, cracked paw pads into smooth ones—just like the Reviews said. It’s truly an amazing Onsen. The Imabari bath towel after bathing was fluffy and very comfortable. Since it was a No Meals Included stay, we mainly brought takeout from Nasu restaurants. We also bought Nasu cheese and sausages along with drinks and snacks, and picked up bread and yogurt for breakfast at a nearby shop before heading to the Accommodation. With the best sulfur Onsen, delicious food and drinks from Nasu, a quiet setting, we were able to relax completely. Our dog also seemed very satisfied with the cool highland climate, peaceful greenery-filled surroundings, and private feel without running into other dogs—he looked truly relaxed. All of us were soothed by both nature and the Onsen and went home extremely happy. My husband said he wants to come again in winter too—so we’ll be making another Reservation. The Onsen gets you wonderfully warm and feels great. The in-room bath is also very relaxing. The Room layout is lovely, and in the morning sunlight pours in—on a clear day, you can enjoy the sunrise. The food is delicious, and you can enjoy local Ureshino sake. The rice is especially outstanding. The yudofu at breakfast was the best.

Our adults-only family stay was wonderful. With spacious beds, a Room featuring an open-air Onsen bath, and a location overlooking Matsuyama Castle, we ended up spending a lot of time relaxing in the Room. The amenities were excellent, including the in-room hair dryer (it was a ReFa), and every detail was thoughtfully arranged to eliminate the little stresses that can come with traveling. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generously portioned, and we truly felt the warm hospitality throughout our stay. As a souvenir, we bought the diffuser that scented the property; its fresh citrus fragrance still brings back memories of our lovely time here even after returning home. Thank you very much. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Dogo Onsen.

It was my first visit. I was completely satisfied with everything, but there are three highlights worth mentioning. I have stayed at many Hotels, and the dining here was exceptionally satisfying. It’s rare to find Western cuisine of this quality. I was amazed by the consommé made from chicken and vegetables—it concentrated the natural flavors of the ingredients beautifully. None of the dishes felt heavy, and I enjoyed everything right to the end. The ayu paired wonderfully with eggplant as well, and I was impressed by how it all came together. My husband and I even said we would like to stay again just for the meals. The wonderful location was also a major plus. I could truly relax while taking in such a luxurious view. I believe that’s thanks to how meticulously everything is kept clean—from the rooms to the large public bath and even the garden. We enjoyed coffee in the library, and used cups were promptly cleared away; there wasn’t a single unpleasant detail. Above all, what stood out most was how wonderful your staff are. Everyone—the person who provided Shuttle Service by bus, the front desk team, each member of restaurant service staff, and housekeeping—was warm and professional. There were also staff members with charming Fukushima dialects, which sounded lovely to me. In particular, one restaurant staff member remained poised while still engaging in pleasant conversation; unfortunately I didn’t get their name. I hope to see them again on my next visit.
