We took the last flight the day before heading to Kouri Island and arrived close to midnight for a one-night stay. The Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable. The range of services provided at this accommodation for the price was excellent. Choosing your own pillow, selecting shampoo and conditioner, treats for children during Halloween—such thoughtful gestures were delightful. It’s an accommodation we’d love to stay at again.

Our first family trip in seven years. As the kids have grown up, it has become harder to coordinate schedules for all five of us, so we decided at the end of last year to make time during this summer vacation and planned this trip. We were very satisfied with the Room size, service, and meals—it felt like a shame that one night wasn’t enough to fully enjoy everything. We especially loved the seasoning of the dishes, Shimane-grown Koshihikari rice, and the local sake. We were extremely satisfied. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

We stayed with four friends. The building is old, but the Japanese-style room was spacious. The restroom was a bit hard to find, but we were able to use it without any issues. The dining area was also large, and thanks to staggered meal times it was rarely crowded. There was a wide variety of dishes, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Both baths require taking stairs from the entrance, so I felt it might be difficult for guests with mobility issues. One of the baths had water that was too lukewarm, so we couldn’t stay in for long. The parking lot is far away, but they provided Shuttle Service by car, which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed during the Obon holidays on a breakfast-only plan. The building is a bit old, but the Room had been renovated and was very clean, with stylish interiors and a great view—truly wonderful. The baths were also clean; they operate on an alternating schedule for men and women, and we were especially impressed by the panoramic bath on the 6th floor with its amazing views. Breakfast was very luxurious and satisfying, featuring simmered splendid alfonsino (kinmedai), horse mackerel namero, ara-jiru fish soup, plus a buffet. We would like to come again.

I planned to eat dinner out, but there wasn’t much nearby, so I chose the dinner buffet instead. Each table has a smokeless grill, so you can cook and enjoy seafood like scallops and shrimp as well as meat right at your table. Alcohol is also all-you-can-drink, which makes it a great value. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, and you can also request made-to-order items such as the Furano Burger and omelets. The Furano Burger was delicious, and I was very satisfied. There are several lounge areas as well, which is convenient. If you’re staying in Furano, I highly recommend this place.

If you love Onsen, this place is truly heaven—there are 18 private baths. This was my third stay, and I still haven’t managed to try them all. The detached cottage “Aoi” has its own open-air bath, which is absolutely wonderful. I always end up completely satisfied just using the bath in the Room. The spring quality is a simple Onsen (slightly alkaline, hypotonic, high-temperature) with a pH of 8.3. It feels gentle on the skin and is easy to enjoy in a different way from more distinctive springs like sulfur Onsen. It’s comfortable for longer soaks, and being able to enjoy it many times during your stay is part of the appeal. Many of the open-air baths have a rustic, DIY-like feel. Numerous private baths are scattered across the vast grounds, and I can only imagine how much work it must be to maintain and manage so many. Because this Accommodation is surrounded by nature, things like insects and fallen leaves are somewhat unavoidable. In July there were quite a few insects, and when I visited last September I also had trouble with biting gnats. Even so, this Accommodation has more than enough charm to make up for it. The source spring has an abundant flow rate, and the source temperature is very high at 76.1°C. To bring it down to a comfortable temperature, adding water may sometimes be necessary. As an Onsen lover, I’d ideally like to enjoy pure free-flowing water without dilution—but with such a high-temperature source spring, I understand that temperature control can be challenging. Many of the staff are from overseas, but everyone speaks Japanese well and I’ve never felt inconvenienced. They are always polite and attentive. And despite being such a secluded hot-spring retreat, it’s great that the meals are genuinely delicious as well. This time we ordered sukiyaki as an extra dish; it was excellent and very satisfying. In winter this area apparently gets extremely heavy snowfall. Next time I’d love to visit in winter and enjoy an outdoor bath while admiring snowy scenery.

As a mid-sized to small Hotel with relatively few guest rooms, it never gets unpleasantly crowded, so I can stay comfortably and I really like it. However, there are many families with children, and some people leave their kids unattended during meals, which was a bit troublesome. It doesn’t bother me elsewhere, but I do think a certain level of manners is necessary during meals. Even so, the Hotel is quiet and relaxing overall, and there are plenty of well-made dinosaur displays, so I like it a lot. I hope this Hotel continues for a long time—I’m rooting for you. By the way, this time the pool water seemed warmer than before—whether due to the setting or the season—and it wasn’t cold at all, so we could enjoy swimming comfortably without having to dash into the sauna.

While the meals are not particularly luxurious, the quiet surroundings make it a relaxing place to stay. The area had been closed due to bear sightings, but a riverside walking path has now been developed all the way to Ryusendo Cave. The Iwaizumi Yogurt served at the Ryokan—highly praised by Mr. Ohtani—is excellent, and the milk is outstanding as well. The cold noodles at the Ryusendo Cave rest house were also very delicious. If you are worried about bears, there is a bus stop right in front of the property one stop before Ryusendo Cave (service is limited).

The Room was well stocked with amenities. The view was great. For dinner and breakfast, you can choose from a wide variety of options.

We booked four Rooms for our family, and both the beds and toilets were spotlessly clean. The staff and housekeeping team were very friendly, so we had a wonderful time. The bath water was a bit hot—maybe because it’s free-flowing hot spring water… I almost felt lightheaded, but it was very relaxing. I wish the women’s bath were a little cooler so I could soak more slowly. The welcome coffee was excellent, and I ended up having refills several times. The morning rice balls were also delicious, and I enjoyed them with warm tea. I used to live very close to the Yunokawa tram stop when I was little, so staying at this Hotel nearby made me feel nostalgic. Thank you for taking such good care of us—I’d love to come again.

I arrived a little earlier than the check-in time, but they warmly welcomed me without any displeasure, saying the Room was ready.\nThe Room was spacious for the price and felt just like a Ryokan.\nBecause it is old, I noticed a slight odor in the Room and hallway.\nAfter checking in, I went in and out several times, and each time they prepared my shoes. The front desk staff also helped with sightseeing advice—the service was truly excellent.

Two women stayed in a Japanese-style, smoking Room. The Room did not smell strongly of cigarettes. Please be careful of steps in the Room and level differences on the floor. The morning toast and coffee service was a good value for the price.

I always look forward to visiting, soothed by the Onsen waters of Bessho and the nature of Shioda-daira. This time as well, I enjoyed a relaxing stay with wonderful meals, baths, and the warm atmosphere of Nanjo Ryokan. Every dish reflected the best of the local area and was truly delicious. The building feels like time has stood still since the Showa era, which is very calming. I imagine it must be challenging to maintain such a historic Accommodation, but I think replacing the tatami mats in the Room would make it even more comfortable. I hope this Accommodation continues for many years to come. I will visit again!

Natural Onsen baths and a wide variety of delicious dishes. It feels like a luxury Onsen Hotel from Japan’s Showa bubble era. There are older and newer wings, and from everywhere we enjoyed stunning views of the calm, rolling waves of Mikawa Bay. The lighthouse was charming and atmospheric. The many sets of Mikawa samurai armor and bridal kimono also gave us a sense of the history of Katahara Castle from the Sengoku period. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.

We stayed here with our 2-year-old child and family for the Kushimoto Fireworks Festival on August 2nd! On this day, accommodations in Kushimoto and Shirahama were all expensive, and we almost gave up on attending the festival this year. But then we found this place and were amazed by its affordability! After reading high reviews on other sites, we decided to book here. We arrived early on the day of our stay, but they kindly allowed us to check in early! The room was cool with the air conditioner already running, spacious, clean, and comfortable! It had a refrigerator, microwave, and kettle in the room so we could heat up our bento meals right after arriving. To our surprise, the fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks like juice and tea—such a thoughtful touch ( ; ; )! After playing at the beach, we took a shower and used their drum washing machine for laundry—drying included—and then took a short nap before heading to the fireworks festival. Even though we returned late that night, they waited for us so that we could take another shower before falling fast asleep in bed. In the morning, they served bread, yogurt, meatballs, bananas, vegetable juice, and coffee for breakfast. We also enjoyed chatting with the owner—it was such fun! Later that day when friends joined us with their family car as well (which they kindly let us park), we went river swimming nearby. The river was beautiful; even locals came there to swim! Before leaving for home after taking group photos together with everyone there—we promised to come back again soon! For families traveling with young children like ours (2 years old), having a spacious Japanese-style room along with amenities like baths & washing machines made everything so convenient! The owner’s kindness truly stood out—we’ll definitely stay here again next time!

The room was beautifully renovated, preserving the charm of a traditional old house while adding modern comforts.

The entire Facility was spotless. The staff were very kind, and dinner was delicious with plenty of volume, including meat and seafood. Breakfast also exceeded our expectations, with lots of tasty bread. The in-Room coffee was authentic and freshly ground from beans, and cups and glasses were provided. The refrigerator had complimentary mineral water—two bottles per person. What impressed me most was that bathing amenities (towels, face masks, a brush, razor, body towel, slippers, etc.) were thoughtfully prepared to match each guest’s gender and age. I don’t think you often find a glamping Facility this well equipped. It also felt reassuring that staff seemed to patrol until quite late at night. If I had to mention one drawback: the toilets on the glamping side were unisex, and the door lock was a bit hard to secure. My husband had no issues at all, but I used the toilets in the separate Facility a short walk away. Still, there were play areas like wooden swings and a trampoline, and we could enjoy stargazing by the bonfire next to our Room. The kids loved it so much they said they want to come back—overall we were extremely satisfied! It’s a wonderful Facility where you can really feel the staff’s thoughtful attention. Our whole family had a great experience. Thank you very much.

This Ryokan was a wonderful Accommodation, just as its reputation suggested. The host provided very courteous service, so we could relax with peace of mind. We also enjoyed the large bathtub for a Ryokan. What impressed us most was the view from the Room: we could look out over Goishi Coast, hear the sound of waves in the distance, and truly feel the special experience of staying at a Ryokan. The meals were also unforgettable. I can’t remember the name of the dish, but it featured plenty of seafood that seemed to be locally caught. The breakfast seafood was especially great—four kinds were all-you-can-eat. Salmon roe was served in a generous mound and could be refilled as well; I couldn’t manage another serving, but it was a delightful touch. This was an excellent Ryokan where you could feel genuine care in every service. It became an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

You can walk to Kirishima Shrine, and Takachiho Farm is just a short drive away. The Onsen was almost too hot, but I was able to cool it down with water before getting in. The bath was bright and open, which felt wonderful. Since my plans were not set, I chose breakfast only, and I really appreciated having a delicious, nutritious meal in the morning. The price was very reasonable, and I could relax in a spacious Room.
