The meals—especially the BBQ dinner—were delicious. The Maeda beef steak was outstanding. Since we stayed at the Super Premium Site, it was convenient that we could drive directly onto the site. The spacious grounds also made our dogs very happy; seeing them run around excitedly was truly satisfying. It felt like a luxurious private dog run experience. The beds inside the tent were also extremely comfortable. The large public bath in the clubhouse was fairly standard, but I appreciated the free massage chair in the changing room. One downside was that although there is an air cooler and a fan inside the tent, they didn’t work effectively at all. (It was comfortable from sunset until early morning, but during summer daytime it felt like a greenhouse—unbearable!) I recommend staying outside the tent during the day. It was also very inconvenient that there is no toilet on-site; if you see this as part of embracing outdoor inconveniences (no toilet, no refrigerator, no air conditioning, etc.), then it might be acceptable—but if you advertise it as a Super Premium Site, I honestly wish basic comfort (at least a toilet and heating/cooling) were provided. (Especially given that it wasn’t cheap.) There is a small cabin on the site with air conditioning and it was wonderfully cool, but it’s so small and empty that I did wonder whether it makes sense to pay such a high rate only to spend most of your time in that cabin… After check-in there isn’t really anywhere else cool within the site, so you end up taking refuge in this cabin, staying in your car with A/C on, or going to the clubhouse… Since the tent itself is so lovely, it would have been ideal if we could have spent most of our time comfortably inside it. I also strongly felt how convenient it would be if there were a toilet inside that air-conditioned cabin. Since you have to walk to the clubhouse restroom each time, you need to keep reminding yourself to go before it becomes urgent. (Waiting until your limit might be tough!) Unfortunately we couldn’t see the starry sky at night because of bad weather—it was disappointing—but I’d love to come back for another try next time, aiming for a more comfortable season! All staff members were very kind and made our stay pleasant. Thank you very much.

We used the BBQ grill and a guest room. It was our first time having a barbecue with friends. We knew charcoal was sold here when we made the Reservation, but we didn’t know how many kilograms it came in, so we brought our own 3 kg bag from a home improvement store. (That was enough for us.) We also brought a grill grate, but we didn’t know the size of the BBQ grill, so in the end we bought fire starters and an additional grate at the shop. (The grate in the photo was purchased at the shop.) The bath area has one sauna and one hot tub, and the washing area is spacious and easy to use. It’s a Facility we’d like to use again if we have another chance.

After getting off the expressway and driving through town, we arrived while watching people fishing for ayu in the Oi River flowing alongside the road. At reception, we paid the Accommodation Tax and the dog fee in cash, then moved to our Room. The owner kindly explained how to use everything in detail. It’s a small but beautifully renovated riverside one-story private rental house, and this time we chose the bring-your-own-ingredients BBQ plan. The Accommodation also has a resident Shiba Inu “greeter” and a gorgeous cat who welcomed us—the cat even walked with us to our door. The kitchen was fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle, dishes, pots, and cutlery, so all we needed to bring were seasonings and ingredients. For dogs, they provided a crate, toilet tray, pee pads, deodorizing spray, lint roller (sticky cleaner), and water bowl—so as long as you bring food for your dog(s), you’re all set. You can park right in front of the house, which made unloading luggage easy. We changed into swimsuits and headed to the river right in front of the Room with our two dogs. The high that day was 26°C (30°C in Osaka), so it felt a bit chilly for swimming; our dogs started shivering so we went back inside pretty quickly. We’d love to try again next year. In the evening we had a BBQ in the garden. The staff handled both lighting the fire and cleaning up afterward, which was very reassuring. There aren’t any tourist spots or shops nearby around this Accommodation, but it’s quiet with no traffic—just relaxing sounds of the river and evening cicadas. Thank you very much! The building feels like an apartment. The Room has simple furnishings that create a fresh, comfortable atmosphere. You can go out after reception hours; there is no curfew. I received a towel set and a toothbrush. I used a rental car and parked at a Times parking lot (up to 500 yen). There are quite a few one-way streets, so be careful. The Hotel parking fee is 500 yen per car, and up to three cars can park. You can get almost everything you need at the 24-hour Mega Center Trial Asahikawa store (12 minutes on foot / 3 minutes by car, 850 m). Showers are on the first floor (women-only and shared for men and women). Two washing machines are free to use (no detergent; air-dry function available). There is no dryer, so I rated the Facility 4/5. The toilet and microwave are outside the Room. Free and paid items are listed in the in-room guidebook. Some areas feel like a maze. From April 1, 2026, an “Asahikawa City Accommodation Tax” of 200 yen per person per night has been introduced for Accommodations within Asahikawa City. The Hotel staff informed me about it. I was impressed by the courteous service for under 4,000 yen—it made me feel safe and comfortable. I was glad my Room was on the second floor. Don’t miss travel agency sales.

Since it’s a condominium, I like being left alone. This was my repeat stay, but the unit bathroom was very small, and I could do without the toilet lid hitting my back while using it. The toilet seat was cold too.

The area is very quiet with nothing nearby, making it a comfortable place to relax. It’s best to buy groceries and other supplies in advance.\n\nIn summer, you can’t open the windows because insects may get inside. Bringing in fresh air would likely help keep it cool, but the afternoon sun heats up the room, so you’ll need to run the air conditioner.

We stayed with our dog. The Room and Facility are minimal but sufficient. However, although Wi‑Fi was broadcasting on 5G, it wasn’t connected to the internet, so we ended up enjoying a digital detox.

Search for a pet-friendly Chateraise Hotel near Yatsugatake, Yamanashi. The unique Chateraise welcome treat is limited to packaged sweets, but it’s still appreciated. This hotel was formerly Hotel Nobeyama and is a Resort Hotel located within a golf course. Please note that there are no Onsen or large public baths available. The on-site dining option is a reservation-only steakhouse, while the standard two-meal plan requires walking about 5 minutes to an off-site rest house. While this may not be an issue for some, it could be inconvenient on rainy or cold days or for those with mobility challenges. A golf cart shuttle would make it more convenient and enjoyable for families with children. Although the Facility has some shortcomings, the Room was clean and the course meals were exceptionally delicious, with desserts featuring authentic Chateraise cakes. There are only two pet-friendly Rooms available, located downstairs which can be inconvenient; additionally, there are no circle cages provided in these Rooms. If you can overlook these points and prioritize cost performance over convenience, this hotel offers a pleasant environment and comes recommended!

The living room is spacious, so you can relax with your dog. The kitchen is also very easy to use. There are two Rooms, so up to about three guests can stay comfortably. There are rice fields right nearby, making it easy to go for a walk. The bathroom is small, so you may prefer to go to Makino.
