I was worried about bears, but the manager explained that because Suganuma Campground is at a high elevation and too cold, acorns and other bear food do not grow there. As a result, it cannot become a feeding area for bears, so they generally do not come to the campground or its surroundings since there is nothing for them to eat. Hearing that reassured me and I was able to stay with peace of mind.

The cottage was very comfortable with air conditioning and floor heating, making it easy to relax. We brought only the essentials and enjoyed a peaceful time surrounded by nature. The sound of the river in the morning was right nearby, and combined with great weather, it was a perfect location. The shower room and toilet were impeccably clean, which was wonderful. Additionally, the staff's service was very polite and kind, allowing us to stay with peace of mind. Thank you very much!

It was a wonderful Accommodation surrounded by greenery. They kindly drove us to the bus stop and shared helpful information about local shops, which was a great help. If I have the chance to visit the Yaeyama Islands again, I’d love to stay here again!

We stayed here for a family trip with our children in elementary, middle, and high school. The property is a beautiful standalone house with multiple rooms, which made the kids very happy as they could each choose their favorite spot to sleep comfortably. My husband enjoys cooking, so he was pleased that the kitchen was well-equipped with seasonings and tableware like at home. We even cooked Hokkaido rice we happened to buy at a supermarket and enjoyed it for breakfast. It would have been nice if there was hand soap in the bathroom. While it wasn’t an issue for us since we usually bring our own, please note that pajamas and toothbrushes are not provided, so guests will need to bring their own. The spacious bath allowed us to relax fully, creating wonderful memories of our stay.

I stayed for one night on a weekday. Coincidentally, we were the only guests that day, which was nice, but the view stretching from the town below to the sea was breathtaking. The night view from the room was also stunning and thoroughly enjoyable. The hosts were pleasant, the food was delicious, and while the building itself is ordinary, it was impeccably clean with no complaints at all. Since it is located slightly away from highways and towns, I highly recommend it for those who want to enjoy sunrise or night views in tranquility.

Very convenient to use. Room equipped with a refrigerator, microwave available in the lobby, and a separate room with washing machines and dryers (free of charge). Spacious room with high ceilings.

Stay with two meals included. The breakfast bread, praised in other reviews, exceeded expectations with its deliciousness. The walnut and red bean bread was soft and flavorful. Dinner was also excellent, starting with the scallop ajillo; every dish served was so tasty that everything was finished. As we were the only guests this time, it was quiet and very comfortable to stay in such a peaceful environment. Would love to visit again if given the opportunity.

We stayed as a family of five. The cleaning was thorough, the futons were fluffy, and the toilet had a washlet. The facility is well-equipped with both a toaster and a microwave. The kitchen is spacious, with all necessary cooking utensils and tableware provided. As mentioned in other reviews, the sharpness of the knife is impressive! It seems to be well-maintained and sharpened; when making a salad, I could slice cucumbers paper-thin! The refrigerator is a proper large family size, making this rental villa perfect for enjoying cooking. With three rooms available, it feels like staying in a mini-suite. At night, we sat on the bench in the courtyard under the stars and had great conversations—it was so much fun! We were also introduced to nearby onsen facilities! We’ll definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay. We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Thank you for your advice on our plans, which turned out to be spot-on. The owner's warm personality made a great impression, and our family was already discussing on the way home when we could visit again!

We used it as a touring base for the Venus Line. It is a homely Ryokan. Both meals were served in the Room, allowing us to enjoy them without worrying about others. We were able to savor delicious homemade dishes, including Shinshu beef. The bath was not large, but it was clean and comfortable. The cost performance is excellent. It is a Ryokan that makes you want to use it again next time.

The meals were delicious, the bedding was clean, and I had a comfortable stay. The rental equipment was excellent, allowing me to enjoy skiing. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage there. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for taking care of us on August 10th and 11th. We arrived by motorcycle and were worried about parking, but you came out as soon as we arrived and kindly let us park in a covered area. We were truly impressed by your thoughtfulness. The food was delicious as well. The bath left our skin feeling smooth, and we were able to relax deeply and enjoy a wonderful time. Teradomari offers a wide range of Hotels and Ryokan along its long coastline, making it hard to choose, but I was drawn to Hokushinkan, nestled in the mountains a little away from the shore. This renovated former therapeutic Accommodation features two types of lukewarm baths and only seven Rooms, which sounded perfect for a quiet stay, so I chose a Room with a private bath. The Room we stayed in had tasteful, refined interiors, and from the window we enjoyed fresh greenery in the mountains and garden as well as small birds. No slippers are needed inside the building. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented and delicious, allowing us to relax and spend our time peacefully. We would love to return as a couple for a Multiple Night Stay next time. (We were so full that we couldn’t finish the rice and miso soup, so we’d like to try again.)

I stayed in a standard cottage. The owners were very kind. The room had a pleasant wooden scent, and it was impeccably clean and well-maintained. There were clear guide signs placed throughout, making it easy to understand how to spend time and navigate the accommodation. It was such a lovely cottage that I would love to stay again. First, about the room: we chose this accommodation because it was affordable and we were intrigued by the attic room. For two women, the space was sufficient, and despite its age, it was clean with a nice view from the window, which made us very satisfied. Although there is no toilet in the room and I thought it might be inconvenient at night, it was located just downstairs so I didn’t mind. However, during busy periods with many guests, this might cause some stress. As for the food, as mentioned in other reviews, it was absolutely delicious! The salad was crisp and fresh, and each dish felt carefully prepared. The manager’s response? Calm and courteous—it made our stay incredibly comfortable. The scenery of Takayama Village, the shops we stopped by on our way there, the accommodation itself, the food—everything left a deep impression on us. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

I stayed with my 4-year-old and 2-year-old sons. The meals were very delicious, and the children seemed very happy playing in the free space. The private bath was spacious and very satisfying. Since we were the first to use it, we didn’t mind, but for those using it after us, the wet bath mat might be a concern. The Room was comfortable and allowed us to relax. During our stay, my 2-year-old son accidentally got injured. When I consulted with the owner, they immediately looked up a nighttime emergency hospital for us, which was incredibly helpful. Fortunately, we were able to get him treated right away at the hospital they recommended. After returning from the hospital, they kindly listened to our concerns as well, making it a truly memorable experience for us. If we visit Nasu again in the future, we would love to stay here again!

While there are no showers or toilets inside the cabin, sanitary facilities are conveniently located on-site and include 24-hour shower access. Guests can also use the Onsen at Tsukioka Onsen within the same group; however, it may require some travel. Dinner is served in private rooms within the main mansion—a stunning historical building filled with antique furnishings and well-maintained gardens. Paired with craft beer from Swan Lake Brewery next door, this exquisite meal offers an unforgettable dining experience. A separate building houses a self-service bar featuring local sake and draft beer from Swan Lake Brewery available all night long. Guests can enjoy drinks under the moonlight at their cabin's outdoor table for an enchanting evening. As open fires are prohibited due to being on cultural heritage grounds, glass-fronted rocket stoves are available for rent instead—highly recommended to keep warm while enjoying the ambiance of firelight alongside ample firewood provided. Surrounded by serene countryside views, guests can relax by the fire or visit the bar occasionally for drinks before retreating to their quiet cabins equipped with air conditioning for restful sleep. In the morning, enjoy breakfast under your cabin's tarp-covered area with hot sandwiches and coffee. Although direct views of surrounding rice fields are blocked by fences, only five cabins occupy this spacious property ensuring privacy and tranquility throughout your stay. Check-out is simple—just leave your key inside your room as staff members aren't present in the morning. While more information about local attractions would have been appreciated during check-out time—it was still an exceptional stay overall!

The amenities were excellent, and the items provided in the Accommodation were far more extensive than expected—everything you’d hope for was there, including insect repellent and coffee and tea—so we were very satisfied!! There were also loan items like manga and board games, and it seemed you could buy handheld fireworks at reception as well! Even if you’re not a fan of insects, it’s great that you can relax in nature without having to worry about them.
