We stayed with our dog. The Room and Facility are minimal but sufficient. However, although Wi‑Fi was broadcasting on 5G, it wasn’t connected to the internet, so we ended up enjoying a digital detox.

The accommodation has been renovated, and both the rooms and dining area are very clean. The cleaning is thorough, providing a sense of cleanliness, and the meals were satisfying. I especially enjoyed the soy milk hot pot. The onsen can be reserved for private use at night, which was also great. It’s quiet with natural surroundings, and the location near Yoro Valley is excellent. Since there are almost no amenities provided, I brought my own cosmetics and coffee. As an accommodation where you can relax in an onsen for around 10,000 yen per person, it offers high satisfaction. I would love to visit again next time and try staying in a room along the stream.

Stayed at the accommodation while enjoying cherry blossoms at Rakutenchi with my 90-year-old mother. A spacious room with a relaxing cypress bath. The food was excellent. The staff were very courteous, making it a pleasant trip. We also received admission tickets to Rakutenchi. My mother was delighted to see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Thank you very much!

The staff were very kind, and we had a pleasant stay. They were also friendly to our dog, and there was a larger toilet suitable for male dogs. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the human beds, so it’s recommended to bring your own bedding for your pet. Next time, I’d like to try the sauna as well.

I stayed again last week. I was planning to ski in Appi, but I gave up on Saturday because of the rain, and on Sunday the lifts stopped operating at 11:00 due to strong winds. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great. In that sense it was disappointing, but there’s nothing you can do about the weather… Still, Step’s meals are consistently great value for money. I especially love the soups. The turnip soup from a few weeks ago was excellent, and I think it was porcini mushroom soup? The mushroom soup was delicious too. The grilled chicken is also very good. A woman who stayed for the first time last week was impressed as well and said it was delicious. She seems to have become a big fan—“the only choice in Appi!” Even if some of the Facility feels a bit old, that’s part of its charm. The bath temperature might be a little low at times? It feels just right for women. If you like it really hot, it might not be enough. That’s about all if you look closely. I’m satisfied. I’ll stay again.

I chose this Hotel because I was on a business trip and needed to stay within a tight budget. I’m not sure if it was due to the season, but around Gotemba Station there were only a few Hotels that fit my budget, including this one. The building itself felt a bit old, but the room was very clean. One thing to note is that the Hotel apparently doesn’t have an elevator, so if you’re assigned a room on the 3rd floor and have heavy luggage, it could be tough. The room had amenities like a razor and toothbrush, and it also came with an air purifier and hair dryer—convenient features you’d expect from a Business Hotel. There also seemed to be water dispensers on each floor, which was very handy when I wanted drinking water. Also, the shampoo and body soap were “tea” versions (tea shampoo? tea body soap?), which felt like a nice touch given that this is a tea-producing area. It didn’t seem strongly scented like tea, so if you’re curious, it might be worth trying.

Full of Showa-era charm, both dinner and breakfast are delicious. The onsen is a natural hot spring with free-flowing water, making this accommodation perfect. Family-run, we had an enjoyable stay.

The Facility may look old, but it has a pleasantly aged charm, and it is thoroughly cleaned, so it never feels dirty. The fireplace atmosphere is wonderful! The service was very courteous, and everyone greeted us with a smile, which felt great. When we contacted the front desk, they came to our Room right away—truly attentive. The meals were very generous and we couldn’t finish everything, but we also enjoyed the game meat. The bath was well cleaned, and the open-air bath was especially relaxing with a view of the night sky!

It was excellent. The staff at the accommodation were polite, the room was clean, and it turned into a wonderful and relaxing trip!

I chose your Facility for relaxation after climbing Mount Fuji. The private and well-equipped space allowed me to fully enjoy my stay! The meals were also extremely delicious.

I stayed for 3 nights for skiing in Hakuba. The snow quality was terrible all 4 days, but I was very satisfied with the property overall. The ski locker in the drying room is spacious, easily accommodating boards and boots for 4 people, and it has a lock. The room is well soundproofed. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath. And above all, the food was extremely delicious. At first glance, I thought there might be a limited number of dishes, but the quantity was more than satisfying, and the seasoning was excellent. I will use it again if I have the opportunity.

It was great! The rice in the Japanese meal was incredibly delicious—absolutely the best. I’d love to know what variety of rice it was!!!

Parking is one of the key factors for motorcyclists. For large motorcycles, ease of parking can vary depending on whether the surface is paved or gravel. At Hanan, the spacious parking area and the ability to see my bike from the Room provided peace of mind. The meals were delicious, and the stew was exceptional. At first, I wasn’t sure how to check in, so I called the owner using the contact information posted at the entrance, and they kindly explained everything. The Room was kept very clean. There is no toilet in the Room, but the shared toilets (separate for men and women) were equipped with washlets, which was great. This time we bought bento meals at a convenience store and ate in our Room, but there is also a self-catering area next to the 1F entrance and a spacious dining area. If you bring rice and ingredients, you can cook rice with the provided electric rice cooker and prepare stir-fries and other dishes using the IH cooktop. Once you stay here once, you get a good sense of how things work, so next time I’d like to try cooking for ourselves. There is a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and a two-burner IH cooktop at the 2F wash area. There was also a kids’ room where children can play. We checked in after going to Bessho Onsen for an Onsen bath, so we didn’t use the Accommodation’s bath facilities, but there are two clean shower rooms as well as a bathing area. I believe there are two washing machines available free of charge. To avoid overlapping with other guests, you can reserve a time slot by writing on the whiteboard at the entrance to the bathing area. One request: it would be perfect if there were vending machines inside Facility for juice or beer. Thanks to this very nice Facility and the owner’s warm personality, we had a memorable family trip.

The bath features an Onsen with ultrasonic baths, open-air baths, saunas, and more, providing a very relaxing experience. When my return train schedule was unexpectedly moved earlier, breakfast was originally from 7 AM but they kindly prepared it earlier so I could eat before leaving. Thank you very much. I would love to stay here again next time.

It feels like a dream to have enjoyed such a wonderful sensory experience so close to home. We stayed here for a family birthday, and despite making many selfish requests, the staff responded to everything with smiles, for which we are truly grateful! We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the dome tent we had always dreamed of. We would love to visit again. It was an exceptional one-night stay. Thank you very much!
