I stayed here for hiking in the Yatsugatake Mountains. The location was great, and the price was reasonable. The bed was spacious, which I really appreciated. I was also grateful that they kindly froze my ice packs for me. I’d like to stay here again.

I had never seen coral grass before, and since the Coral Grass Festival is in mid-September, I honestly didn’t have high expectations for an October stay. However, from the moment we entered the parking lot guided by the Kagariya signboard, all we could say was “Wow!” The two of us on this girls’ trip were greeted by a stunning view of fully bloomed coral grass. I had no idea the location was this perfect. Although the building is old, it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The highlight, however, was the food. When choosing the accommodation, I had looked at photos, and the simmered Kinki fish was the deciding factor. The freshly caught Kinki fish served was just as impressive, if not more. It was so delicious that we applauded. Every other dish was equally delightful, leaving us completely satisfied. We stayed in a room facing the lake, and the breathtaking view of Lake Notoro from the window in the morning was unforgettable. From sunrise to the changing light and the many birds flying in, even red-crowned cranes came to feed. Next time, I hope to enjoy a full-course Kinki fish meal.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. The Room was stylish, we could enjoy meals in the Room, the terrace was spacious enough for our dog to run around, and there was even a bath for dogs—best of all, we could stay together the whole time. The meals were surprisingly generous both dinner and breakfast. The staff were very attentive and also gave us sightseeing recommendations we could visit with our dog. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

I visited after a mountain hike. At check-in, we were offered only a cold hand towel, with no tea or sweets, and were shown to our Room. The Accommodation is small, but it felt clean throughout, including the Room, so we were able to stay comfortably in that respect. There was also complimentary beer service, but it was a bit disappointing that it was served in a cup rather than a mug or glass. The bath uses mineral spring water and has no taste or smell. I didn’t notice anything in particular while soaking, but after a while my skin felt smooth. Also, as time passed my body warmed up nicely, so it’s a good bath. As the Reviews said, the meals featured plenty of Toyama ingredients. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, but I think the dining experience would be even better with some explanation of the dishes. That said, during the meal the staff member in charge only said things like “Here you are” and “I’ll clear these,” which felt a little impersonal. I could hear another staff member serving the table behind us saying things like “Would you like more rice?” and “Would you like seconds?”, so it may depend on each person’s approach—but I wished for slightly more guest-focused service from our attendant. I was also concerned about there being cameras installed in several places; it felt somewhat like being watched. If they were placed more discreetly or with more consideration, it might feel less uncomfortable. Overall though, I think it was a good Accommodation.

I visited the forest auberge Mitsu to create memories with my mother, as she had always wanted to go there. The beautiful accommodation, delicious cuisine, and exceptionally kind service made for a truly comfortable and wonderful experience. Thank you so much! The staff were all smiles and provided excellent hospitality (during dinner, they recommended a shop we ended up visiting—Perron’s baguette was absolutely delicious. Thank you!). We felt at ease throughout our stay. The meals were not only flavorful and visually appealing but also healthy dishes that made my body feel happy—this brought me great joy. Living in a traditional house like Mitsu has been a dream of mine, so just staying there was incredibly soothing for my soul! I sincerely hope Mitsu continues on forever! I will visit again. Creating memories with my mother was a huge success!

I’ve been to Beppu many times, but this was my first stay at Sansuikan. Thank you for a relaxing time. My elderly siblings and I even talked about coming again next time (lol).

We stayed in the Garden Tower at NASPA New Otani with breakfast only (no dinner). We bought food at a nearby supermarket and checked in. I had confirmed in advance that the Room had a microwave, so we were able to enjoy our meal very nicely. The refrigerator was also larger than in a typical Hotel, so there was plenty of space for drinks, and we could even store ice cream after dinner—very satisfying! Even so, I think it’s amazing how affordable it is. The staff were truly wonderful: when they had time, they worked efficiently on other tasks, and if we hesitated even a little about what to do, they would kindly speak to us. I’d love to stay again sometime.

It was a Japanese-style Room. It was larger than expected, which made us happy. We had a lot of luggage for the kids, so the spacious Room was very helpful. Everyone was very kind, and the service was polite and excellent. Breakfast was delicious as well. The staff spoke kindly to the kids there too, and they were delighted. Thank you very much.

I stayed here the night before hiking Mt. Tsurugi the next day. I went to the hospital in the morning and headed to the Accommodation after lunch, but I thought I might be late and called them. They told me to put safety first and come whenever I could. The atmosphere was great, and they even prepared breakfast as a boxed meal to suit my schedule. It was delicious. I’d like to stay here again when I hike Mt. Tsurugi, and next time I’d like to add dinner as well.

I was able to relax and take it easy. Sitting by the fireplace, I enjoyed the nostalgic scent, sound, and flames of the burning firewood. The free-flow alcohol and drinks were wonderful—I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect for a quick drink after a bath. The snacks were delicious as well; it felt like you really let the quality of the ingredients speak for itself. The evening buffet also had a handmade feel and was very tasty. Breakfast offered so many options that I couldn’t try everything. If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again.

Stayed for one night with my beloved dog on a December weekend. This was my second visit, and this time I stayed in a Japanese-Western Room. The spaciousness of the room is great, and the raised tatami area separating the Japanese and Western styles is a nice touch. The lounge food was even more delicious than last time. The public bath, which was lukewarm before, was slightly hotter this time, which suited me perfectly. At the dog run, we had fun playing with other dogs as well. The customer service remains excellent, and both the breakfast buffet and made-to-order omelets were delightful again this time. My dog seemed to enjoy it too—completely satisfied! I’ll likely visit again.

We stay here every summer as an annual tradition. Ever since our kids were around 3–4 years old, summer has meant the lakeside pool—we spend two full days playing nonstop. The pool gradually gets deeper, so when they were little we could play together in the shallow area, and now we can sit in the shallow section and keep an eye on them. The slide is also a favorite with our kids. The rooms are built like apartments, so in midsummer it feels like “Outside?!” right after getting off the elevator—but for us that’s part of the lakeside experience and doesn’t bother us at all. If anything, it makes us think, “Ah, we’re back at Lakeside again this year.” Meals and the bath require going outside to another building a short distance away, but even that is something our family enjoys. We’re very satisfied with the food, and the bath feels absolutely wonderful. We have no complaints at all, which is why we come every year. None of the Hotel staff have ever made us feel uncomfortable—we’ve been coming for nearly 10 years and truly think they’re outstanding. Our kids are older now, but they still say they want to come again next year!! So we hope to keep staying here for many years to come.

We stayed here for a three-generation trip with a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. We planned Amanohashidate on the first day and Kinosaki Marine World on the second. Originally, we had planned to visit Marine World on day one and stay near it at an Accommodation without meals, but we changed our schedule to spend more time at Marine World and switched to a Plan with meals, so we chose this Facility.\nAfter check-in, we spent time in the pool until dinner. The pool was just the right size for the kids, and they had plenty of fun going back and forth between areas about 40 cm deep and about 100 cm deep.\nDinner felt a little light in portion size for an adult man. Breakfast was satisfying, with refills of rice available.\nThe building is not new, but it was well cleaned and felt very tidy overall. It was also nice that you can choose your yukata after check-in.

I stay at Onsen inns in Hakone every month, and the private bath here was absolutely outstanding! The meals were delicious, and the rice at breakfast was especially exceptional. Above all, the staff’s hospitality made me feel truly happy. Thank you very much!

On the way back from Kinosaki Onsen, I stayed overnight as I am not comfortable driving at night. The Hotel seems new and clean. It is convenient with a roadside station and a convenience store nearby. The room appears to have a foreign-style design, with hangers placed at a high position. It might be slightly inconvenient for shorter individuals. Overall, it was a comfortable Hotel to stay in.

I visit Sugadaira every summer, so I check early, but I can never get a Reservation. This time I happened to get one, so it was my first stay. The area around the Hotel is very quiet, and the view from the Room is wonderful. After soaking in the Onsen, my skin stayed moisturized for a while. Everyone—at the front desk and in the restaurant—was truly pleasant and welcoming, and I had a great time. The buffet made the most of fresh vegetables and was thoughtfully prepared rather than relying on cheap ready-made sauces, and it was delicious. Since it’s so hard to secure an Accommodation Reservation here, I’d come just for the meal. There was a sheet listing the names of the mountains visible from the Room window, hooks placed throughout the Room for hanging clothes (probably for winter ski wear), a towel provided for use at the washbasin, and even a cube-shaped power strip with five outlets. It’s a Hotel with attentive care down to every detail. I would definitely like to stay again if I can get another Reservation.

I stayed here with my parents. Every dish at dinner was delicious, and my father and I really enjoyed our drinks. We were also moved by the beautiful sunset over Lake Togo that evening. We would love to visit again.

It’s been a while since I stayed somewhere that helps carry your luggage. (LOL) The service was polite and great. As for the meals, given the price I didn’t expect them to be like the photos, but they really were—especially the sashimi platter with a big spiny lobster, which was delicious and very satisfying. The building and Facility are a bit old, but the location is right by the beach so you can go for a walk, and I was very happy with breakfast while looking at the sea and the footbath!

We stayed for one night with our 2-year-old Toy Poodle. The place was very clean, and they provided insect repellent spray, pee pads, poop bags, and a walking bag. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and although it was hot, we made the most of it and enjoyed the campfire as well. We also used the dog run, which was spacious enough even for large dogs. Our dog seemed very happy, and we’re glad we chose to stay here. There are several places nearby for walks, which was really helpful. We’d love to come again when it’s cooler.

My wife, son, and I traveled from Nagoya with our dog. We followed the navigation via the Chuo Expressway, got off at Azusagawa IC, and after that there was almost nothing along the local roads—no gas stations—until we finally found one near the Accommodation. After arriving, we presented our dog’s various certificates at reception to check in. The staff were very kind. The first place we were shown was the café lounge: unlimited soft drinks, ice cream, and even alcohol (as much as available?!). There were also 4–5 kinds of dog treats prepared, which felt like a great perk for guests. Next to the café lounge there was also a pet shower room. What surprised me was that other guests also said they couldn’t smell any “pet odor,” and I hadn’t noticed it either—it really didn’t bother us at all. However, the smoking room is located around the center of the 2nd floor, and the cigarette smell inside that room was… quite strong. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room because no Western-style rooms were available. At reception we were told that if our dog soiled any bedding we would be charged a cleaning fee, so we put our dog in diapers. Thanks to that nothing got dirty—but in an unexpected twist, my son got a nosebleed and stained the sheets. We weren’t charged anything, but I’m very sorry about that. Changing topics: Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style. For dinner we could choose 17:30 or 19:00; for breakfast 7:00 or 8:00. Everything was satisfying overall; alcoholic drinks are available for an additional charge. The bath is an Onsen open from 15:00 to 22:00, and in the morning from 5:00 to 10:00. There is an outdoor dog run with facilities and a washing area, plus towels for wiping paws. There is also an indoor one on the second floor. Stepping outside into such clear air helped me forget about work for a while, and we made wonderful memories with our dog and family. We’d love to come again! On the way back we headed toward Okaya IC on local roads before returning to Nagoya; from this Accommodation to Okaya IC the roads were well paved, and there are places like Suwa Taisha Shrine (Suwa Grand Shrine), Utsukushigahara Highlands (Plateau), roadside stations (Michi-no-Eki), etc., so it’s easy to make stops along the way. The route on our way there wasn’t as convenient—so next time we’ll come via Okaya IC. To Oedo Onsen Wanwan Resort Shinshu Ueda Team: Thank you for giving us such great memories.
