The building, Rooms, and all shared areas are stylish and spotless. The services and meals are excellent. There is nothing around the Hotel, so I was able to relax quietly in the in-room Onsen.

I was able to relax in a clean, comfortable, and pleasantly spacious Room that was easy to use. Because it was a bit foggy, we couldn’t see much of the Kanto Plain, but we still enjoyed the in-room open-air Onsen bath. We usually eat dinner early, and we weren’t kept waiting—one delicious dish after another was served at just the right pace, with plenty of variety, and we were completely satisfied. It was my first time in Tsukuba, but it’s close to Tokyo, and we were able to see beautiful flowers at the perfect time—azaleas and mountain wisteria in bloom, and nemophila at full peak. I would definitely like to stop by again when I visit Tsukuba. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Welcome drinks included coffee, soft drinks, and delicious onion soup. In the evening, wine and snacks were also available. The meals were served buffet-style and were satisfying. It would have been nice to have condiments on the table. The room and bath were well-cleaned, making for a comfortable stay. This is one of the accommodations I would like to revisit.

Although we try to take a couples’ Onsen trip at least once a month, we were busy this month and couldn’t easily find time—so, as usual, it was a last-minute Reservation. We decided to stay nearby and chose Aoni Onsen for its excellent water quality. Luckily, there was a Room available at just the right time. Best of all, we could use the private bath in the building where we stayed free of charge, so my wife and I enjoyed it before heading to the large public bath. The water was great, everything was clean, and the view was wonderful. Dinner was served at the counter with attentive service for each dish while watching the kitchen at work. There was also an impressive lineup of well-known Akita sake—including Aramasa, which I used to drink almost every night. I thought it might shake my resolve since I had only recently quit drinking, but surprisingly it didn’t. With kind encouragement like “Why not just have a little?”—and with my wife unable to drink—I gratefully accepted their thoughtfulness while focusing on the meal. Since sake had always been part of every Onsen trip until now… I expected to feel lonely about it—but I didn’t at all (even though I used to be a certified sake sommelier). We truly enjoyed the Onsen.

I’ve traveled to Tochigi many times, but this was my first visit to Yunishigawa Onsen. When choosing an Accommodation, the open-air Onsen and the meals were especially appealing. After arriving, I took a moment to relax with a cold welcome drink and a refreshingly cool towel—perfect for the heat. Once shown to my Room, I was soothed by the view from the window: mountains and a river. Dinner was served in a private room with an irori hearth, where many dishes were laid out. Over the hearth, various ingredients such as venison, beef, chicken, and yamame trout were grilled. We also enjoyed “isshobera”: minced chicken and crushed walnuts mixed into flavorful miso, spread onto a bamboo spatula and grilled, then placed on rice. Everything was truly delicious and beautiful to look at as well. For breakfast, we had piping-hot tofu made right in front of us along with many small side dishes—so filling even in the morning. Next time I’d love to visit during the autumn foliage season to enjoy a different view, so I hope to stay again when I return.

I stayed here using the Akita Accommodation Campaign. The Onsen was excellent and warmed me up thoroughly. The sweets provided in the room were very tasty, so I bought some as souvenirs. The staff were also very helpful, and I would like to stay here again.

Two adults and our child (5 years old) stayed for one night, and it was our first glamping experience. We were all thrilled the moment we saw the breathtaking view from the Room. With so many activities provided, plus relaxing moments like reading in the Room and making coffee, we enjoyed every minute from arrival to check-out without missing a thing. For dinner, they arranged a fun cooking experience with our attendant and our little “chef,” which made everything taste even better than usual. All of the attendants kindly accommodated last-minute requests and interacted naturally with our child, so we were able to stay very comfortably. Thank you so much for such a truly memorable time. (Our child did catch their foot on furniture corners and near the entrance door threshold, but perhaps that’s part of an authentic camping experience—not everything being overly padded or protected. The Room was wonderful, letting us feel the changing expressions of the mountains up close.)

I was hoping to visit Kamikochi and enjoy an Onsen, but this Ryokan was even better than I expected. The bath had wonderful water and a great atmosphere, and the meals were delicious. The staff’s hospitality was also excellent. I went with my family, and everyone was very satisfied—it became a great memory for us all.

As always, the hospitality was outstanding. Rather than a scripted approach, each staff member’s personality shines through in their service, which leaves a lasting impression and makes the stay truly comfortable. I always hope to be the kind of guest the team is happy to welcome. This time we also used your affiliated golf course and a restaurant at The Busena Terrace, and it was very reassuring that information was shared seamlessly between them. It was the busy summer holiday season with many families, but since it was just the two of us as a couple, The Atta Terrace felt calm and especially relaxing. On our way home we talked about wanting to stay for about a week next time. We’ll do our best until we can return again.

I found this Accommodation while looking for a nearby place to stay on our way to Kamikochi. It’s a wonderful Accommodation in a quiet mountain village, and everything—the atmosphere, the meals, and the Onsen—was extremely satisfying. We visited with children, and I really appreciate their thoughtfulness, such as preparing the largest Room for us. Although it was near the end of the season, we were able to join the free firefly viewing event and saw about 10 fireflies—it was truly moving!! The Hida beef in the meal was tender, sweet, and absolutely delicious! The Onsen includes both simple spring water and mildly alkaline water; neither has a strong scent or feel, so it’s very refreshing. Some people might find it just slightly hot. The Room was spacious and relaxing, and even in late July it was cool at night—we could turn off the air conditioner, open the windows, and sleep comfortably. We will definitely be back!! *The only thing I noticed: I’m not sure whether it’s due to prefectural policy or the Accommodation’s policy, but there were many foreign staff members (Southeast Asian) working in the dining area. They were friendly and very kind so it didn’t bother us at all, but some guests may feel differently. If you’re concerned, you may want to contact them in advance.*

Wearing a hat in the misty drizzle, I will never forget being able to fully enjoy the beautiful mountain stream and its free-flowing Onsen straight from the source. The abundant volume of hot water, like a geyser, was truly the height of luxury and made for an exceptional holiday. However, it was disappointing that some young people got heavily drunk in the river bath late at night and were shouting loudly, but when I reported it you responded immediately, which I appreciated. I was deeply impressed by your dedication to maintaining order at this traditional Ryokan even at the expense of sleep. I understand there are limits to judging guests in advance, but I feel it would be better to provide thorough reminders beforehand. Sorry for my blunt suggestion. I know it must be difficult with so many different kinds of guests. Still, I thought that filtering out preventable trouble as much as possible would also make things easier for your staff. After all, I want to enjoy this beautiful stream-side hot spring source in peace—and that tranquility is what makes the wonderful cuisine and Room truly shine.

The Onsen water quality was excellent. The seasonal kaiseki cuisine also lived up to its reputation and was wonderful. Nearby, many guests were enjoying river activities and BBQs, which was fun to watch as well. During the wait before check-in, we took a short walk in the mountains and found it cool and comfortable even in summer. It has become one of the places we would like to visit again if we have the chance.

This was my first stay here, and it felt far more fulfilling than you’d expect from just one night and two days. From the warm welcome on arrival, everything was handled with great care. The staff’s hospitality left a lasting impression, and throughout my stay they were attentive to even the smallest details. From start to finish—including the send-off at departure—I felt genuinely well looked after. Rather than feeling formal or scripted, it truly felt like each guest was treated as an individual. The Room had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, and best of all was the private open-air bath attached to the Room. Being able to soak in an Onsen at my own pace whenever I wanted was a special luxury, and it felt so good I wanted to go in again and again. Enjoying the open-air bath while taking in the garden and surrounding nature helped me forget everyday fatigue. The meals were also carefully prepared dish by dish—delicious not only in flavor, but also in presentation and seasonal touches. I enjoyed them so much that mealtime itself became one of the highlights of the trip. The overall atmosphere of the Ryokan is wonderful as well—quiet, serene, and naturally calming just by being there. Everything is beautifully maintained down to the smallest details, making it an ideal space for a true escape from daily life. Even though it was a short stay of one night and two days, by checkout I was surprised at how much lighter I felt both physically and mentally—I was able to fully recharge. This is a Ryokan that honestly makes you think, “I want to stay here again.” If you’re looking for Accommodation in Hakone, I highly recommend staying here at least once.

The meals were outstanding. Dinner met our expectations, and breakfast exceeded them. The vegetables, in particular, looked beautiful and tasted great. The Room was charming, and the bath was spacious and wonderful.

Our family of three (two adults and one older elementary school child) stayed here. The Facility was exceptionally well maintained throughout—spotlessly clean and beautiful everywhere. It was a wonderful place I can confidently recommend to others! Here are the highlights that impressed us, along with a couple of small points we noticed. ◯ Highlights Beautifully balanced meals: The ingredients prepared in the refrigerator were the perfect amount—not too much, not too little. The colors and presentation were lovely, everything felt very clean, and we were excited even before eating. The selection of complimentary drinks included in the Accommodation Fee was also excellent! User-friendly kitchen: The dining kitchen was spacious and easy to move around in, and the grill was simple to use, making cooking fun. A fully equipped authentic spa: Not only a bath, but also a sauna and cold plunge pool—an incredibly relaxing experience. ◯ With hopes for future improvements (why we rated 4 stars) The boundary between indoors and outdoors on the way to the open-air bath was very slippery, so we placed towels down ourselves as a precaution. Guests with small children or elderly family members may want to be especially careful. Moving between the Room, toilet, bath, and dining area requires outdoor footwear throughout, but we found the provided shoes a bit difficult to wear. More slip-on options would make it even more comfortable. That said, our overall satisfaction was extremely high—so much so that these minor points hardly mattered—and it became a great memory for us. We would love to stay again!

I chose Zao Onsen this time because I wanted to soak in Wald Berg’s open-air bath again after a long time. When I arrived at the Hotel, I felt the hospitality and service were better than before. At the front desk, they seemed to remember that I had stayed here previously. When I was shown to my Room, I appreciated that the air conditioning had already been set to a comfortable temperature. And then, the Onsen—Zao Onsen really is wonderful. Among all the baths in Zao Onsen, Wald Berg’s forest open-air bath is spacious and truly outstanding. Dinner was more than satisfying as well, and I was happy that even a solo guest receives a beer. I ended up enjoying the open-air bath four times—it was excellent. The only disappointment was that the riverside open-air bath was closed due to bear activity, so I couldn’t use it. In the past, my mother-in-law, my wife, and I came together and enjoyed our stay; this year my mother-in-law passed away, so it was just the two of us. As it is Obon season, we enjoyed Zao Onsen while remembering her fondly.

My spouse, our younger daughter, and my 88-year-old mother stayed for one night. The arrival briefing was thorough and easy to understand, and whenever we had questions—at any time and in any place—we always received accurate and courteous assistance. What made us happiest was celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at the restaurant. As a complimentary service, they served a special dish with sea bream, red rice, and sake; dressed my husband in a purple outfit; and even took a commemorative family photo for us. It became a wonderful celebration, and we were truly moved by the restaurant staff’s thoughtful hospitality. The food was excellent, especially the fresh seafood. The Awa Odori event was also very enjoyable. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel and restaurant, it was an unforgettable trip, and we are sincerely grateful.

It had been a long time since I last had the chance to visit Europe, but at Shima Mediterranean Village I was able to experience those nostalgic streetscapes again after so many years. Combined with the beautiful coastline of the Shima Peninsula, it made for a wonderfully relaxing stay, and I truly felt glad that we chose this Hotel. Meals were served buffet-style, and both breakfast and dinner were of a very high standard—I was extremely satisfied. I could also sense the passion and attention to detail of everyone involved in preparing the dishes, which left a strong impression. As we stayed with our pet dog, I had some concerns about our dog’s toilet needs and asked for advice. Thank you very much for your courteous support, including sending photos to help us. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude for your consideration regarding changing breakfast (especially the female staff member at reception). Thanks to your help, we were able to stay with peace of mind together with our dog and enjoy a wonderful time. If we have another opportunity, we would love to visit again.

We stayed here as a family during our summer vacation. The pancakes, pudding, and every meal were all very delicious. We felt a warmth in the staff’s hospitality that isn’t swayed by changing times, and it made us feel pleasantly nostalgic. It’s a wonderful Accommodation we’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

The Facility was beautifully maintained with well-kept trees and flowers, giving it a tropical vibe, and it was fun to stroll around while music played. Both breakfast and dinner offered a good variety and were delicious. I’m glad we chose a Room that included tickets to a nearby Onsen. It had many different baths, was spacious, and was excellent.
