I stayed here after hiking Mt. Kisokoma. It’s a warm, family-run Accommodation, and I truly felt welcomed. They also responded kindly and thoroughly to my questions in advance, which I really appreciated. The simmered carp was carefully prepared so I could eat it without worrying about the bones, and I even had seconds of the barley rice—it was delicious. From the Room window, I could see the morning glow over the Southern Alps, and soaking in the Onsen was deeply relaxing. Next time, we’d like to visit during the autumn foliage season for another hike up Mt. Kisokoma—and to come back for the starry sky we didn’t get to see this time. Thank you very much.

We stayed for two nights. The garden and the house were very stylish and beautifully maintained. We brought our pit bull with us, and it was great to be able to play ball in the spacious yard. The dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were all kept very clean, so we had a comfortable stay. It’s also spacious enough for large dogs, highly recommended.

My spouse and I stayed with our miniature dachshund and chose the BBQ course. After arriving, we checked in at Bianco. We were then shown to our Room, and everything was explained carefully, including how the Room and the public Onsen work. You can buy a 24-hour pass for three public baths at Gozen-yu for 600 yen. We started with a soak at Gozen-yu, then took our dog for a walk around town before dinner. The atmosphere is lovely, but to be honest there aren’t really any tourist facilities like souvenir shops (lol). There are walking paths too, but we decided not to go into the mountains because we were worried about bears. Before dinner, they brought us the meat for the BBQ. A one-drink option is included, so I ordered a craft beer. The meal was more filling than expected and very tasty. One thing to note: you cook the rice yourself using a mess tin (camping-style pot), so it might feel challenging if it’s your first time—though I’m used to it as a camper. It felt less like staying at a Ryokan and more like casual glamping. Also, since you’re grilling as you eat, it’s not really a sit-down-and-relax style meal. After dinner we went to our second bath, Satsuki-yu. However, Arifuku Onsen is very hot, so you can’t soak for long. My wife tried to go for one more bath at Yayoi-yu before bed but ran out of time and ended up going back to Gozen-yu instead (open until 10 p.m.). In the morning we visited Gozen-yu again (open from 7 a.m.) before having breakfast bento boxes—those were great too. The Room was very clean, and best of all we could let our dog relax freely inside, which made us really happy. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance—next time I’d like to try dinner at Bianco as well.

I made a Reservation at this Accommodation because of the great Reviews. It was just as wonderful as the Reviews said, and I was very satisfied. The building is tastefully designed and offers a relaxing, comfortable space, and each dish was carefully handmade with local ingredients and tasted delicious. The hostess was also very kind and helpful. I would definitely like to stay here again.

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but the scenery along the way is so beautiful that getting there is truly enjoyable. The moment I arrived at the Accommodation and stepped inside, I was genuinely moved by the wonderful atmosphere. Everywhere you look feels like a scene from a drama or novel—surrounded by beautiful architecture and furnishings, I was able to fully enjoy an extraordinary escape. The entire property was also impeccably clean, making my stay extremely comfortable. From my Room, I could gaze out at lush greenery, and the soothing sound of the river was so relaxing that I found myself listening for ages and losing track of time. The baths are private-use only (a large bath and a smaller bath), so I never had to share with other guests. Being able to soak in complete privacy and unwind without any hesitation was something I truly appreciated. And as for the meals—I chose a Plan with both dinner and breakfast included, and both were absolutely outstanding. For dinner, we went to Otowasanso for kaiseki cuisine. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the dashi flavors were exceptional; I was continuously impressed from start to finish by these delicate dishes unique to Japan. The attendant who explained each course was warm and attentive throughout, which made it an especially happy experience. Breakfast was served on the second floor of Meitokuan. Freshly cooked rice, rolled omelet, grilled salmon, miso soup—each item was simple yet carefully prepared, leaving me feeling satisfied in both body and mind. Both dinner and breakfast were so wonderful that I honestly wished those moments would never end. If you stay at this Accommodation, I highly recommend choosing a Plan that includes both dinner and breakfast—you won’t regret it. Lastly, this was truly a lovely Accommodation filled with thoughtful attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality beyond what I can fully describe. I would love to visit again. This was my third stay, and it was just as amazing as ever! In a wonderful space, we could truly enjoy delicious food, and the hospitality was outstanding—an Accommodation that makes you want to come back every year. In fact, we really do visit every year. Located in a serene natural setting, this accommodation offers an escape from everyday life. Staying here while listening to the sound of the flowing river is truly soothing. The onsen with natural hot spring water is at the perfect temperature, allowing you to relax for as long as you like. My daughter was delighted to play with a wild raccoon. Although we only had breakfast, it was well-balanced and gentle on the body in both content and portion size. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, making it a place we’d love to visit again next time with dinner included!

I stayed at the beginning of December. We borrowed a BBQ set to make our own dinner and breakfast, and thanks to the mild winter, we enjoyed it without worrying about the cold! The property was very accommodating, providing everything we thought we might need while cooking. The attention to detail was wonderful. We didn't face any difficulties, it was truly impressive. We cycled around the island, and after sunset, the children enjoyed karaoke. The room had large windows, and we could have a bonfire outdoors right in front, so the adults enjoyed drinks by the fire while keeping an eye on the karaoke. (There was even a portable speaker. It was amazing.) Looking up, there was a sky full of stars. The sunrise was magnificent, and the glass-walled bath where you could soak up the sun was also fantastic. On our way back, we could go down to the sea right in front of the Stays, and the children played by dipping their feet in the water. If I were to give a score, 100 points wouldn't be enough. It was truly the best property. Thank you very much. I definitely want to visit again!!!

The moment I opened the door, I couldn't help but exclaim at the sense of freedom! The stylish and extraordinary atmosphere made me excited, and I had an enjoyable time throughout my stay. The large projector screen and excellent sound system were particularly impressive. The sound quality was so good that it felt like being at a live concert, and playing my favorite music at high volume, combined with the quality of the accommodation, made my heart race! The spacious grounds and the privacy from neighboring houses allowed for a unique way to enjoy the accommodation. Having an Onsen was a delightful bonus, as I could enjoy it as many times as I wanted at my preferred timing. I even woke up early in the morning, just like at a Ryokan, to soak in the Onsen. I had bought some bread from a nearby bakery for breakfast, and enjoying it with coffee while gazing at the garden was a blissful moment. Although I didn’t bring a dog, there was no pet smell, so I would recommend this accommodation even for those without pets, as long as they don’t have animal allergies. If I have another chance to visit the Izu Highlands, I would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience!

This was our first stay, and we visited with our dog for one night as a group of four. The building is new and very clean, with a well-equipped full kitchen and a spacious layout including the living area, making for a wonderful stay. The non-slip flooring with underfloor heating gave us great peace of mind when traveling with our dog, and we felt the Facility was thoughtfully designed from a dog owner’s perspective. From the parking area through the entrance to the front door, there is an approximately 330 m² lawn dog run in the garden—an incredibly open and freeing space for dogs. Our dog happily ran around while getting some much-needed exercise. It’s also at a convenient distance from central Karuizawa, and Tsuruya Supermarket is less than 10 minutes away by car, which was very handy. One request: behind the outdoor AC unit on the right side of the entrance is a deck space that connects directly to the bathroom (as shown in the photo), but there is a small gap underneath the deck. Our small dog managed to slip through and nearly got out, so we would appreciate it if this could be modified so pets cannot get through. Because it’s located at a higher elevation as well, it was an excellent place to escape Tokyo’s extreme summer heat—we would love to stay again!

We made a Reservation at this Accommodation to visit the moss phlox at Chausuyama Highlands, and we were extremely satisfied. The buffet was delicious, and as a couple who loves alcohol, we were happy to enjoy drinks at reasonable prices and had a wonderful time. It would have been nice if smaller draft beer glasses were available. During the buffet, a staff member kindly told us that we might be able to see a herd of wild deer, and we actually got to see them. As expected of Kyukamura—nature at its best. We truly enjoyed the great outdoors and had a fantastic trip. Thank you very much.

I was worried because the Reviews I checked in advance were low, but I’m very satisfied. The Room was spacious, and the view toward Zenkoji Temple and the night scenery were amazing. The amenities were well stocked, and both the open-air bath and indoor bath were great. Since it was that time of year when the Room heating wasn’t on, it was cold, so I contacted the front desk and they brought me a fan heater. There were some stains and dirt on the carpet, and the amenities didn’t feel particularly luxurious, but at this price it’s more than enough. It seems like meal ratings are very low, but since my stay was No Meals Included, I can’t comment. If you go down about 10 minutes there’s a convenience store, and beyond that there’s an AEON mall, popular supermarkets, chain restaurants, and ramen shops—so even with No Meals Included there’s no problem. I’ll stay here again next year!!

Although my check-in was later than planned, the staff accommodated me without any displeasure. The meals were just the right amount, leaving nothing behind, and were very delicious. The hot water was so smooth, like soaking in a beauty serum, that if I lived nearby, I would use it frequently. Since it is a small Ryokan, the walking distance was minimal, making it very convenient. It was a Ryokan I would definitely like to stay at again.

I stayed for one night over the three-day weekend in February. Just as the Reviews said, the food was delicious and the Room was clean, so I’m glad I chose this Accommodation. The bathroom was about the size that would feel full with three people, but since this Facility doesn’t have many Rooms, we were able to use it privately by going at a different time. It took about a 20-minute walk from Akakura Onsen Ski Resort, but with snow piled up on both sides of the road making it narrow—and cars passing by from time to time—it may be better to contact the Accommodation in advance and request a pick-up (it’s best to reach out early rather than at the last minute, as they will likely be preparing dinner). They gave me Shuttle Service after check-out to the ski resort, and also from the ski resort to the station. Buses to the station don’t run very frequently, so I truly appreciated the Shuttle Service. This is an Accommodation I’d like to stay at again next year. Thank you.

I stayed for one night from Sunday to Monday, and the Room was clean. It was supposed to be a 5.5-tatami Room, but since there were only two groups staying, they probably consolidated the Rooms—so even though it was just the two of us, we had a very spacious Room. The Onsen bath itself was small and the open-air bath wasn’t in use, but although it is normally separated by gender, we were told that if we put up the private-use sign, it was fine for us as a couple to bathe together, so we used it privately. It’s an Accommodation that stays flexible and saves costs while still keeping guests satisfied. I only had breakfast; the menu was fairly standard, but the miso soup in particular was very delicious. When I go to Oze again, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

My son and I stayed here for a short 2-night, 3-day trip while visiting high schools. We were both deeply impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff! Being a beach lover, my son enjoyed snorkeling every day at the beach right in front of the property and spent every morning practicing his "cool diving moves" at the pool. We look forward to coming back to meet the sea turtles next time. Thank you so much!

I was drawn back by the incredibly charming building and the warm, welcoming interior, and I stayed here again. Not only that, but with its comfort, well-equipped Facility, and the wonderful personalities of the owner couple, it’s a place that truly makes me want to return. Last time I traveled solo; this time we stayed as a couple, and my husband was very happy too. On Yakushima there are surprisingly few Accommodations where you can relax at your own pace without worrying about others, but Morinokokage is a place where you can truly unwind. The Room has its own private bath and toilet, which is also a great plus—you can use them whenever you like. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy nature while gently swaying in a hammock and spend a truly luxurious time. Separate top-and-bottom pajamas and thoughtful amenities. Plus, the laundry and dryer are free to use, which is an extremely helpful service for longer stays or for those going trekking. A clean, comfortable—and irresistibly cute—Accommodation that naturally brings a smile to your face. When I visit Yakushima again, I would love to stay here once more. Thank you very much.

I recently traveled to Hakone. I was unsure which Hotel or Ryokan to choose, but I decided on Mitake-san because they offered in-room dining that looked delicious in the photos and had a private open-air bath option. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by adorable cats and kind staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful and happy two days in Hakone. I hope to visit again within this year!

I chose this place because the Reviews were highly rated. As expected, I was very satisfied with the staff and the Facility, but it was disappointing that the open-air bath was in a separate area. This may depend on the guests that day, but at check-in we were told, “There is a shaved ice service in the kitchen space.” I looked forward to having some after dinner, but a group of about six people kept getting refills and occupied the area for a long time, so I couldn’t have any. They also spread plates out and left food they had brought in around the kitchen space, making it difficult for others to use when trying to eat. Also, while I was drying my hair in the large public bath area, a foreign guest came out of the bath wrapped in a bath towel and tried to go to the open-air bath. They asked me “OK?” and when I said “No,” they looked confused. I think it would be helpful to have written instructions or signage explaining proper etiquette.
