As soon as I walked in, the Room was so wonderful that I got really excited. All of the staff were polite and amazing. The food and the Thai boat platter were excellent, and it made me very happy. I also had flowers prepared as part of the Plan, and they were beautifully arranged with great taste—absolutely stunning! I definitely want to stay again.

This was our first time staying here. The cooking utensils and cutlery were more fully stocked than we expected, so we chose a no-meals Plan. It was great that we could shop at a nearby supermarket and cook by simply buying the ingredients we needed. The Facility offerings were also excellent, including the sauna, bath, and projector, and we had a wonderful time. We would love to stay again.

We chose this Accommodation because it offers views of Lake Biwa. The scenery throughout the property was exactly as shown in the photos on the website, and we were captivated by the refined design and attention to detail. We booked a Plan that included breakfast and dinner, and every dish made generous use of local ingredients and was truly delicious. We stayed here for our first trip to show appreciation to my parents. Hoping my mother with rheumatoid arthritis could enjoy the Onsen, we chose a Room with a private bath. The food was excellent—especially the broth, which was outstanding, and I ended up drinking all of it with every dish. All of the staff were courteous, and even the cleaning staff stopped to greet us. My mother was very happy as well. We would like to stay here regularly. Thank you very much.

Our family of three (two adults and one older elementary school child) stayed here. The Facility was exceptionally well maintained throughout—spotlessly clean and beautiful everywhere. It was a wonderful place I can confidently recommend to others! Here are the highlights that impressed us, along with a couple of small points we noticed. ◯ Highlights Beautifully balanced meals: The ingredients prepared in the refrigerator were the perfect amount—not too much, not too little. The colors and presentation were lovely, everything felt very clean, and we were excited even before eating. The selection of complimentary drinks included in the Accommodation Fee was also excellent! User-friendly kitchen: The dining kitchen was spacious and easy to move around in, and the grill was simple to use, making cooking fun. A fully equipped authentic spa: Not only a bath, but also a sauna and cold plunge pool—an incredibly relaxing experience. ◯ With hopes for future improvements (why we rated 4 stars) The boundary between indoors and outdoors on the way to the open-air bath was very slippery, so we placed towels down ourselves as a precaution. Guests with small children or elderly family members may want to be especially careful. Moving between the Room, toilet, bath, and dining area requires outdoor footwear throughout, but we found the provided shoes a bit difficult to wear. More slip-on options would make it even more comfortable. That said, our overall satisfaction was extremely high—so much so that these minor points hardly mattered—and it became a great memory for us. We would love to stay again!

This was our first visit to Atami and Izu, and we stayed at an Accommodation with a private open-air bath in the Room. While the Facility felt a bit dated, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves—the open-air bath in the Room was wonderful, and the meals were delicious. At breakfast, my companion had a slight headache, and the staff noticed even small gestures and kindly checked in on us. The hospitality was excellent. The large public bath at night was quiet enough to feel like we had it all to ourselves, though it was a little scary too (in a funny way).

I always stay for one night to refresh after traversing the Tateyama mountain range. As always, everything is flawless. It’s one of my favorite Hotels. I’ll stay again during the autumn foliage season. Thank you as always for your courteous service.

I stay here when I have business trips to the Suwa area. It had been a while since my last stay, as I hadn’t had the chance to stay recently. The room was clean and comfortable. I especially like the large public bath, and even on a one-night stay, I used it twice—at night and again the next morning. I’d like to stay here again on my next business trip.

While urgently looking for an affordable Onsen Accommodation near Kagoshima Airport, I came across this place. I didn’t have high expectations, but the Room was spacious and clean, the open-air Onsen bath was very relaxing, and there was also a cold plunge in the indoor bath—overall, I was very satisfied. I didn’t make a Reservation with meals included, so I arranged it directly at the Accommodation, and it turned out to be a delicious meal made with local ingredients. The breakfast in particular was excellent.

I stayed here two years ago and it was amazing. This time, even though it was raining due to back-to-back typhoons, it didn’t matter at all—our stay was wonderful again. I heard the interior was fully renovated about a year and a half ago, and the Room has been updated with a modern feel. It’s stairs up to around the 5th floor, but each step is low, so getting around isn’t difficult. Our two dogs get excited the moment they arrive when they like an Accommodation, and they were thrilled this time as well. They even used the provided toilet just like at home. Since they’re timid, we didn’t use the dog run. I tried three Onsen baths, and all of them were perfect—the temperature was just right. The food is simply outstanding. The sashimi is expertly prepared, and there’s more than enough overall—I couldn’t finish everything. I especially love how Shiki no Kura serves abalone, and it was truly delicious again this time. Even compared with top Hotels and Ryokan across The whole country, this place ranks among the best. Breakfast was also excellent: a selection of side dishes that anyone would enjoy paired with rice cooked in a clay pot. The staff’s guidance and conversation were great, as were their thoughtful touches in the Room. After breakfast I took a nap and checked out at 11:00—honestly, I relaxed even more than my dogs did. The building itself does feel old in places; when I wiped the floor it came up dirty. But everywhere has something these days due to staffing shortages, so it didn’t bother me. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that prices fluctuate quite a bit during Kawazu cherry blossom season and other peak times. If it were always reasonably priced, I’d make this my regular go-to (laugh). I will definitely be back again.

The building is spread out horizontally, so depending on where your Room is located, it can be quite a walk to the restaurant, baths, and lobby. Other than that, there were no particular issues or complaints. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Although the large public bath is not an Onsen, it offers three different water temperatures (high/medium/low) and water types, plus a carbonated bath. Other guests also mentioned that it might be more effective than some Onsen. The restaurant (buffet-style) had a wide variety of dishes, and the staff were excellent—one thoughtful touch was that they even informed us that ice cream could be taken back to our Room. I believe drinks inside the facility were reasonably priced as well—for example, a 350 ml can of beer was 350 yen. The souvenir shop opens from 7:30 a.m. It has a great selection, and you can probably find most things you need there.

It was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and kind. I was truly impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the Hotel, such as handwritten boards and information materials introducing birds you can see around the Hotel.\nThe Room was also very clean and comfortable, and the meals were delicious—especially the beef stew, which became my favorite. My family and I are already saying we definitely want to come again.

After our trip to Furano, we found this Hotel while looking for a place to stay on the way home. Because it’s in the mountains, we were a bit worried about the drive, but it wasn’t far from downtown Ashibetsu, so we arrived without any trouble. We expected an older Facility, but once inside it felt completely modern. Everything was spotless, and there were lots of features younger guests would enjoy. Detox water stations from various brands, a space filled with books, areas to relax and chat, a guest-only lounge, wall art, and exhibits about Yutani Onsen and local coal mine history—there was always something interesting to see. The owl artwork on the wall was especially cute; if there had been any related goods for sale, I would have bought them. After getting out of the bath area, I was disappointed that one spot had that owl covered by a notice—I really wanted to see it. Our Room had a classic Japanese style but was very clean. The tatami mats were fresh and green-blue and felt great. It seemed that the open-air bath and the pot bath used Onsen water. Unfortunately it rained at night, but soaking in the Onsen under cover while listening to the rain was truly relaxing. I feel like I’ve made a connection with Ashibetsu as well—I genuinely want to visit again. I’d definitely recommend this Accommodation to friends and acquaintances. I made a Reservation because I was drawn to the title of this Accommodation, and it was absolutely the right choice! This is a simple, historic Accommodation, yet it feels spotless throughout. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the staff, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the Onsen water. The “Taste of Local Bounty” dining menu was especially memorable—above all, being able to bite into a whole river fish from head to tail was an experience you won’t find elsewhere.

I finally brought my daughter, who had been wanting to visit for a long time. The IKYU Diamond benefit was alcohol, but the staff member who showed us to our Room kindly asked if alcohol was okay. Since we don’t drink, they changed it to a non-alcoholic option, and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you. The hot spring water quality was as wonderful as ever, and the Room was clean and relaxing. The meals were delicious with a nice variety of changes, and they even took photos for us at the end—making it a very satisfying trip. We would love to visit again.

This was an Accommodation I had long wanted to stay at. The staff were kind and attentive, and the view of Lake Shikotsu from the room was wonderful. The Onsen water quality was excellent and kept me warm. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

I was happy to be able to choose matcha as the welcome drink. The sweets served were cute and nice. The whole Ryokan had a charming atmosphere and felt very pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. It would have been even better if the bath had been maintained a bit more.

About a 2-hour trip by bus transfers from Kinugawa Onsen Station. I was hesitant because I’d be traveling by public transportation and worried about the transfers, but I decided to make a Reservation and spent my summer vacation here alone. I reserved a Room in the main building with shared washbasin and toilet, and it was well maintained and very clean. The baths included an indoor bath and a women’s open-air bath, and I also tried the mixed-gender bath while wrapped in a bath towel. The bath near the waterfall felt immersive and was great, but the stairs are steep, so please be careful at night. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, made with local ingredients. It seems you can get refills of rice, but there was no 안내; I would have appreciated being told. At night, a cricket (?) appeared in my Room, and I looked for insect spray but couldn’t find any… There’s no internal phone to reach the front desk from the Room, and the front desk is only open until 20:00... There were also unfamiliar bugs on the window screen—if you’re afraid of insects, summer might be tough.

It was my first stay in several years. Due to my own booking mistake, it was a smoking Room, but the front desk offered to prepare an air purifier; the smell did not bother me that much. The Room was spacious, and I enjoyed the meals—they were delicious. Above all, the staff, including the front desk team, were truly wonderful—always smiling and pleasant. Thank you very much. It made for a very good trip.
