We stayed as a family. They kindly let us enjoy playing in the river, and the children were delighted. My mother said it was a wonderful Ryokan and that she would like to visit Kajika-so again when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. I was also happy because I had expected to sleep on futons in a Japanese-style room, so having beds was a real comfort for me since I have lower back pain. We would love to visit again as a family. Thank you very much.

I stay at Onsen inns in Hakone every month, and the private bath here was absolutely outstanding! The meals were delicious, and the rice at breakfast was especially exceptional. Above all, the staff’s hospitality made me feel truly happy. Thank you very much!

If you’d like the rice and miso soup served earlier at dinner, it’s best to ask. (I’m not sure about the Ryokan’s unspoken rules, but if you don’t say anything, they seem to ask near the end—just before dessert—and will bring them if needed.) Breakfast had a bit more pickles and pre-made dishes than expected, so I would have appreciated a few more freshly cooked warm items.

This time, we chose this cottage so we could play the ukulele in the Room. It was our first time staying at such a wonderful Accommodation, and we were truly impressed!! Because it’s relatively new, everything was excellent—to the point that we felt like staying two nights next time. We were completely satisfied! The bedroom was spacious and relaxing; it really soothed us. Highly recommended for any occasion!

We stayed with two adults, one 4-year-old, and one 2-year-old. The meals were amazing! Great value for the price, all-you-can-drink alcohol, and they even lent us small forks—very helpful when traveling with kids. Also, when our child insisted on sitting at a table for six in the dining area, a male staff member wearing glasses kindly let us use it. Thank you so much! All of the other staff were pleasant as well. I think it’s more worth staying here than at a Hotel that is simply clean but overpriced! My back usually hurts from sleeping on futons in Japanese-style rooms, but this futon was thicker than those at other hotels, so it helped a bit. Since this is a historic Hotel, there were some areas like cobwebs in the Room and a slightly dirty sink, but I think the quality is more than sufficient for this price. We had no problems during our stay. We’d love to stay again!

This was the best Livemax I’ve stayed at so far. If you regularly use Livemax, you shouldn’t have any complaints. It’s pointless to compare it with other hotel chains that offer all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner. If this is your first time at Livemax, please don’t write a Review. There was plenty of salmon roe, and the open-air bath had a wonderfully rustic feel—like a secluded hot spring deep in the mountains. The river flow was impressively dynamic. The Room was spacious, and the interior and Facility were new.

I have used this facility multiple times, and this was my first visit since the children's play area was renovated. The play area has been greatly improved, and my child was very satisfied. We were able to enjoy a wonderful time, including the meals. However, there were two disappointing points: 1. There was a stain on the room's sofa that looked like a bedwetting mark, but no explanation about it was provided. 2. To access the room via elevator, you need to use a card key; however, only two keys are provided per room. The Room is spacious enough for up to five adults, but having only two card keys is quite inconvenient. I hope this can be improved in the future.

My flight arrived at Memanbetsu Airport at 18:30. I wanted to order dinner as well, but it seemed I would need to finish eating by 20:00, so I decided not to. Since nearby restaurants close early, I ended up having a convenience store bento for dinner. The Haseko Mart bento was really delicious. Highly recommended.

The Room was clean, and the Onsen had excellent water. The staff were also very kind. If I have the opportunity again, I would definitely like to stay here.

Right after breakfast I had to work, and they kindly kept things quiet—even during cleanup, they were very careful not to make noise. The bath was also wonderful. Some people mention insects or noise, but I didn’t experience any of that at all!

We stayed with a group of eight. The Room was clean, and we could use the fireplace and have a campfire—an Accommodation we were very satisfied with! Responses to our questions were also quick. If I had to say one thing, it would have been nice if there had been a dishwasher. Next time, we’d like to visit in a warmer season.

This was my first trip to Minamiaizu after visiting Aizu several times. I made a Reservation looking forward to the starry sky. The Accommodation had plenty of shared spaces filled with the warmth of wood and a playful touch. The dishes, a collaboration of French cuisine and local ingredients, were well received by my family. The portions were more than enough for us. We were able to see the starry sky as hoped, and it was truly moving. I’d love to visit again.

I stayed in an East Wing twin Room. The view from the Room was great, overlooking the open sky. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan, so it wasn’t a problem. The dinner buffet was good—especially the seared bonito and binchotan tuna. There was also crab, but it was pretty empty and not very good. It was disappointing that alcohol prices were high. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. For some reason they had morning beer, and it was cheap at 500 yen! The hot spring water quality was excellent and I was satisfied. The only downside is that since it’s a shared open-air bath, I wish they would switch between men and women by time slots. Before check-in, you can use the baths at Prince Hotel and Kogen Hotel.

I was a bit worried after reading the Reviews, but it turned out to be a great value Hotel. The building is old, but it was well cleaned, and the view from the window was nice. In the lounge, you can enjoy coffee and house wine, and dinner was a set course meal. It’s simple French cuisine, but I felt it was very reasonably priced to have meals included at this rate (it may have been an especially good Plan by chance). Since I stayed for work, this Hotel offered excellent satisfaction for the price. Of course, I wouldn’t really recommend it to those looking for a luxury Hotel, but I highly recommend it for groups of friends or families who want a good-value stay. I’d love to stay again.

Conveniently located for exploring Tsukuba Science City. The building, designed by Arata Isozaki, exudes high quality, and both the Hotel staff and the restaurant staff for dinner were excellent. The Plan includes not only breakfast but also dinner, which was delicious and impressive for the price. The recommended "Kiri Tsukuba" was also delightful. Having lived in the Science City in the past, staying at this once-admired Hotel (formerly Tsukuba Daiichi Hotel) was nostalgic and convenient for climbing Mount Tsukuba. The former pool area in the annex could be repurposed for multipurpose use, such as basketball practice during the day. (Even if nighttime use is restricted due to noise concerns, it would be great if it could be used for basketball during certain hours in the daytime.)

We stayed for two nights as a couple. Dinner was served in the Room. The meals, including Omi beef, fish and vegetables from Shiga, and local sake, were all delicious. It is conveniently located near historical sites such as Hikone Castle, Omihachiman, Nagahama City, and Chikubu Island, making sightseeing enjoyable. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

After touring the Komoro Distillery, we walked from Komoro Station to this Ryokan. The website said it was a 20-minute walk, but it took us about 30 minutes. We took a taxi on the way back. At the front desk, we were served plum soda and then shown to our Room. This time we stayed in a Room with a private indoor Onsen bath. It was a bit old, but very clean and well maintained. There is also a large public bath, but it is up quite a steep stone staircase, and my husband said it would be safer to use the bath in our Room instead—so we did. The Onsen left our skin feeling wonderfully smooth. I have had dinner at many Ryokan over the years, but every dish here was truly delicious. You could call it creative Japanese cuisine—both the presentation and flavors were excellent. They served salt-grilled ayu (sweetfish). I usually give ayu to my husband because of all the bones, but they told us you can even eat the bones in the head here, so I tried it for the first time—and really didn’t notice any bones at all. Because the food was so good, we also enjoyed it with their sake tasting set. Having an in-room bath meant we could enjoy it whenever we liked, which was wonderful. Breakfast included barley rice with grated yam (mugi-toro), grilled fish, ginger-flavored Onsen egg, and many other dishes—we enjoyed everything. A taxi to Komoro Station costs 1,000 yen, which is much better than walking for 30 minutes. It made me want to visit Komoro again next time as well.

Thank you for accommodating our requests. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, so our stay felt very satisfying. Thank you very much. There was just one disappointing point: we noticed what looked like coffee stains during the Room cleaning (on the kettle and the tatami), which really bothered us. The stain on the tatami may not come out, but the kettle stain came off with just a rinse, so it made us wonder whether it had been cleaned. That part was a little disappointing.

For vacations of two days or more, I choose a vacation rental rather than a Hotel or an Onsen Ryokan. From my experience with several rentals, prices and the quality of Facility management vary widely depending on the operator. This property is well maintained with no musty smell inside, towels can be replaced if you go to the management office yourself, the price is reasonable, and the area is quiet—I'd happily stay here again.

I booked while feeling uneasy because some negative Reviews stuck with me. In the end, if you don’t expect too much, you can be satisfied. The sukiyaki catering was generous and very satisfying. Breakfast was served individually rather than buffet-style, so we could eat at a relaxed pace. Drinks, rice, and pork miso soup were self-serve with free refills. Since it was a cool day—almost chilly—our dog stayed in a crate in the car. Honestly, it was a hassle that check-in/out and breakfast were at a Hotel about 5 minutes away by car. You’re given a map for the cottage, but it’s extremely hard to understand. I wish they would place arrows or signs at key turning points on site to make it clearer. The roads are narrow, and at night you’ll definitely get lost. The short set of steps from where you park to the cottage is tough. With lots of luggage for both people and our dog, you can’t use a cart either. It probably depends on the Room, but there was a full set of kitchen items, which was very convenient. No seasonings are provided. The large fridge and having plastic wrap available were small but helpful touches. Tap water is drinkable as-is, but if that concerns you, it’s better to bring your own drinks. The fridge is empty. There was only one bath towel and one smaller towel (the size you’d take into an Onsen bathing area) per person, which was inconvenient—I’d love two of each. Also, please provide newer towels; the ones for dogs were fluffier and made me wonder which were meant for people. I was very concerned about dampness in the closet where the bedding is stored and in the connected wardrobe area. It would be better managed with a dehumidifier. The insects I worried about were within an acceptable range; given the surrounding environment it can’t really be helped, so if you can’t handle bugs you should look for another Accommodation. The building is honestly old, but the Facility has been updated and everything was kept clean. Because it’s a standalone house-style building, it was very quiet and relaxing. There are no loungewear pajamas and amenities are minimal—so it’s different from staying at a Hotel—but checkout is 11:00 so we could take our time and enjoy things at our family’s pace overall we were very satisfied. Choosing no meals might also be good: shop at places like Tsuruya or local supermarkets/roadside stations (michi-no-eki) and prepare things yourself. That way you can stay with your dog all day too.
