We stayed here on a trip with a family we know, and it was wonderful as always. We’ve stayed several times, so both my wife and I can relax with peace of mind—this is our favorite hot spring Accommodation. The family staying with us was also very satisfied, making it the perfect vacation. Since one of our group had difficulty walking, we truly appreciate you accommodating our various requests. We’d love to stay again. Thank you always.

Thank you for your hospitality. The bath, Room, and meals were all just as good as those at Accommodations that cost more than twice as much. The staff also kept the perfect level of attentiveness, making our stay very comfortable. The view of Ena Gorge from the Room window was spectacular, and we would love to visit again. I stayed here with my husband while I was pregnant. One morning, we woke up unusually early and took a walk together to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The location is excellent, and I think it’s ideal for sightseeing. The lounge was also very comfortable. I recommend staying in a Room with a large bath!

We stayed as a group of two adults and three preschool children. The Accommodation was very clean, and the Room was spacious, so we could relax comfortably. We chose a Room with an open-air bath, which meant we could bathe anytime and then lounge on the bed or sofa—absolutely wonderful. The minibar was well stocked, with a great selection ranging from non-alcoholic drinks to wine, juice, and coffee. We could also borrow table games, and in the evening our family enjoyed playing Othello. Since we had a 0-year-old baby, we requested a baby bath and a diaper trash bin. Not only were those provided, but they also kindly placed baby soap for us as well, which we really appreciated. When I asked on the day if it would be possible to lay out futons in the Japanese-style Room, they gladly agreed and prepared them while we were at dinner. After going to the beach, there was an outdoor shower around the back with warm water available. It also connected to a rear entrance leading directly to the large public bath inside, so we were able to stay comfortable throughout our time in the Accommodation. The meals were delicious. They contacted us in advance about allergies and accommodated us accordingly, so we could dine with peace of mind. At mealtimes—without us even asking—they had already set up a bed where our baby could sleep. They also lent coloring books and toys so our older children wouldn’t get bored, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed meal for the first time in quite a while. One small but truly appreciated point: they provided towels generously. There were plenty of both bath towels and face towels in the Room, and after returning from the beach they handed us fresh bath towels for everyone along with clothes we had left at reception beforehand. There was no need to request extra towels at all—zero minor stress. All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming; it was a wonderful Accommodation full of hospitality. When we visit Amanohashidate again, we will definitely stay here. Thank you very much.

Not only the building itself, but also the hanging scrolls and other details in the Room were wonderful, allowing us to spend a relaxing time while appreciating art and culture. As we stayed on a weekday, I mentioned at check-in that I was interested in the building, and the Accommodation staff kindly showed us several of Meijikan’s highlight Rooms. My parents and I were very satisfied. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. The in-room dining was also excellent, including freshly cooked white rice prepared right in front of us and abalone with a tender bite. We will visit again.

This was my first stay. I found this Hotel online at short notice, but the 12:00 checkout and child-friendly breakfast appealed to me. The room was very clean and offered excellent value for money. The staff were also very kind and helpful. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

It’s a little away from Hankyu Umeda Station, but not far enough to be a concern. There are many restaurants nearby, making it a convenient location. The Hotel staff are polite and welcoming, and they see you off pleasantly as well. You can also enjoy the “Miracle Breakfast” at a relaxed pace. This is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

I booked this place for a relaxing trip with friends because I’d long been curious about the view from the open-air bath. The moment we entered the Room, we were thrilled by how clean and stylish it was—and by the amazing view right in front of us. Dinner was delicious with a great variety of dishes. The sunset from the open-air bath was incredible. Breakfast also offered plenty of options, and the freshly made rice balls were especially tasty. For a hot summer trip, it was perfect to skip sightseeing and simply unwind at this wonderful Hotel and feel refreshed—and we even got a great deal thanks to a time sale. A Hotel I’d definitely love to visit again.

I’d heard the rumors, and they were true: the setting, hospitality, and cuisine were all outstanding. I’ve always felt that the Tokugawa family helped shape the foundations of Japanese culture, and Shiraisi-ya is said to be an even older establishment with over 300 years of history. I felt as though I experienced the secret to its longevity firsthand. I’d gladly recommend it to friends.

I was happy to be able to celebrate my birthday here again this year. Not only was the Room wonderful, but the meals were delicious, and the staff’s hospitality was excellent—I’m always grateful. The towel cake in the Room and the mago chazuke I had been hoping to try made it even more special. I had a truly lovely time. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay. This time, I traveled with my elderly mother. They accommodated the Room request I had shared in advance, and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. It was a comfortable stay. I would like to stay again.

We were completely satisfied with everything—the restaurant, the Room, and the large Onsen bath. Since we were traveling with my elderly parents, the staff kindly accommodated us by assigning a Room near the elevator. At the buffet restaurant as well, they immediately understood our request as soon as we sat down, and everything went smoothly. At the Japanese restaurant, there were many non-Japanese staff alongside experienced Japanese staff, and everyone was very polite, making our stay truly comfortable. The Room was spacious with an easy-to-live-in layout, which was great. The Onsen left our skin feeling wonderfully smooth.

My daughter and I stayed here together. We had a luggage issue before arriving at the Hotel and ended up arriving an hour late for dinner, but you kindly accommodated us, for which we are truly grateful. For the meal, although it was already past the time when it would normally have been served as a boxed meal, you were considerate enough to serve us as planned, and I was nearly moved to tears. Every dish was not only beautifully presented but also thoughtfully prepared with seasonal ingredients and flavors that guests of any age can enjoy. The seasoning and portions were just right, and everything was truly delicious. We chose the plan with breakfast included, and it was very lavish—yet never heavy—and before we knew it, we had finished everything. The rice was especially delicious; my daughter and I even said afterward that we should have asked for seconds. The Onsen bath was very clean, and it felt so wonderful that we forgot all about the day’s troubles. We also used the open-air bath; since it was a full moon that night, we enjoyed a blissful time soaking while looking at the moon peeking through the trees. The Room was very spacious, with a Japanese-style room plus a separate bedroom with beds. It’s a layout where you can relax in comfort in the Japanese-style room and then sleep soundly in bed afterward—something guests of any age can enjoy. Above all else, every member of staff provided outstanding service. When we arrived at Kinugawa Onsen Station there were hardly any taxis available, and we were worried about whether we could reach the Hotel on foot along dark roads. You picked us up by car from the station, which helped us tremendously. You also drove us to the station again the next day—thank you so much. Thanks to you, we made our scheduled train on time. Your kindness in every respect truly moved us. There are many Ryokan out there and we have stayed at several before, but this is a Hotel where we were satisfied with everything: staff service, cuisine, baths, and Rooms. This time it was only one night because there were other places we wanted to visit as well; however, if we travel to the Nikko area again next time, we will definitely choose this Hotel. And since we had your wonderful food rather hurriedly this time due to our late arrival (laugh), next time I’d like to arrive on schedule and savor each dish more slowly. Although it was a stay at the end of summer, it became the perfect finale to our summer vacation. The Accommodation was spotless, the Room was spacious and comfortable, and the view of the Tenryu River from the Room was outstanding. The dining was also highly refined: themed as “Tenryukyo Jukyo,” inspired by Tenryukyo’s “ten delights,” it offered a wonderfully satisfying course in both quality and quantity—from soba at the start to grilled eggplant, snow trout sashimi, grilled eel-style carp, ayu sweetfish, filet meat, and shiso sorbet. It rained on the day we stayed, but by the next morning it held up enough for us to take about an hour-long walk along the river before breakfast. The scenery from the suspension bridge is an irreplaceable beauty. I felt this is an Accommodation where everything—Facility, service, meals, and location—is exceptional. Next time I would like to visit during the autumn foliage season.

We recently stayed with our two dogs for a birthday trip. It was our first time at Regina in Lake Yamanaka, and it turned into a truly enjoyable getaway. All of the staff were very kind and welcoming to our dogs as well. The Room was clean and comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay—if anything, we only wished there had been one more Room. The large public bath was also very relaxing. Dinner was Italian, and every dish was delicious; even the bread was excellent, so we were very satisfied. The restaurant seating was spacious, and having space for our cart was a big help. Since it was a birthday celebration, we received an adorable cake and they even took photos for us—such a lovely memory. It was also our first time using the pool, and it seemed like they had fun (haha). The drink bar in the lobby—especially the coffee and apple cider vinegar drink—was delicious and much appreciated. We would love to visit another Regina property as well. Thank you very much.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times since it opened. It’s a favorite of mine, packed with charm. The interior features abundant Hida-sourced wood, creating a calm atmosphere where warmth and luxury are beautifully balanced. Whether in the lobby or the guest Rooms, it’s comfortable everywhere. The Onsen is also outstanding, with blue mosaic tiles in the baths. They are not only visually beautiful but also pleasant to the touch, making it easy to truly unwind. There is an additional fee, but I especially recommend the private bath with a spacious deck—an indulgent experience in a fully private setting. Above all, my greatest pleasure here is dinner. This time, Perla caviar was served as an amuse-bouche—presented in the tin—which genuinely surprised me with its extravagance. From there, the course continued with spear squid, lobster, and Hida beef; every dish showcased superb ingredients along with the chef’s skill and sense of style. Each plate was moving in its own way—it was simply a wonderful time. The breakfast buffet is equally impressive. From local Takayama specialties to salmon marinade and their signature Hida beef curry, everything is so well executed that it hardly feels like typical Hotel breakfast—I was completely satisfied from the morning. Most memorable of all is the hospitality of the staff. Not only do they respond kindly and attentively whenever you need help, they also greet even casual travel conversations with warm smiles that make you feel truly welcome. If you stay here, I encourage you to chat with them—you’ll appreciate this Hotel even more. Room quality, Onsen, dining, and service—few Hotels deliver such a high level across every aspect. And despite that excellence, the Accommodation Fee is surprisingly reasonable; considering what you receive, the value for money is exceptional. For me, it’s one of my absolute favorite Hotels in Japan—one I will happily return to again and again.

The Facility is old, but the rates are affordable, and since the meals are kaiseki cuisine, we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. Above all, the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait can be seen from the Room, bath, and dining hall—absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our time enjoying the view of various ships coming and going. We will stay again.

I usually stay as a couple, but this time I stayed alone and have trouble with my legs. I was a little anxious, but thanks to your thoughtful support I was able to stay comfortably. I am truly grateful. The Grand Hotel is still the most relaxing and my favorite.

It was a wonderful stay, and I was very satisfied, with the unique aesthetic of architect Togo Murano felt throughout. The Hotel is surrounded by lush nature, making it pleasant to enjoy a relaxing walk. At the same time, taking the subway gets you to the city center in about 15 minutes, so access is very convenient. The breakfast I had been looking forward to offered just the right variety for both Western and Japanese options, and everything was delicious. Although I don’t usually wear provided pajamas, they matched the Hotel’s refined atmosphere perfectly, so I enjoyed wearing them this time. The walk from the elevator to my room was a bit long, but being able to stroll while admiring the beautiful courtyard view through the windows made even that travel time feel like a relaxing moment.
