Not only was the Room wonderful, but the host was truly kind. Even though I contacted them just two days in advance to plan a surprise celebration for my companion, they prepared a message plate and even decorated the Room for us. I’d love to stay again.

I visited during the rainy season, a time I don’t usually choose. Both dinner and breakfast featured exquisite dishes that felt refreshingly cool to the eye and captured the early-summer atmosphere, lifting the gloom of the rainy skies. What makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is being able to enjoy outstanding cuisine at any time, thoughtfully crafted to reflect the season through sight, aroma, and taste. I also deeply appreciate the warm, friendly hospitality shown by all of the staff.

My first time on the Oga Peninsula. I was lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation, and it made my summer memories even more special. I was completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the view, the meals, and the Onsen—but the quality of the Onsen water was especially outstanding. My partner tends to get facial redness from inflammation, and in summer it gets worse, possibly due to UV exposure. After soaking in the Onsen, the redness eased significantly, which made them very happy—they kept using the bath in our Room and even soaked their face repeatedly. If I could add just one request: my partner loves ice cream and tends to prefer Accommodations that offer it as a way to cool down after an Onsen bath. We would have been happy if there had been a small selection of ice cream available in the lounge. Next time, I’d like to visit in a different season.

With its rich history and tradition, along with the pleasant hospitality of the young staff, we were able to spend a truly comfortable time. I have heard that maintaining a historic building involves many challenges, but I sincerely hope it will be preserved just as it is for years to come. A clean Room, delicious meals, and a wonderful garden We would love to visit again.

This was an Accommodation I definitely want to return to after my stay. The Room was spotless, and the thoughtful care of the staff could be felt in every detail, allowing me to relax and unwind from my busy daily life. Above all, both dinner and breakfast exceeded my expectations. This is what it truly means to enjoy food—every dish was outstanding, from dessert to the after-meal tea. The drinks were also excellent, and while Ehime often brings Matsuyama to mind, after staying here, for me Ehime now means Uchiko. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

This was my third stay, and every time I’m amazed by the thoughtful attention shown to guests. Even though I was traveling solo and only had breakfast included, I was treated so warmly, which I truly appreciate. As soon as I parked, a staff member came right out and carried my luggage for me. I even had a laptop with me, so it was quite heavy, but they carried it cheerfully and with great care. A staff member I’d spoken with before remembered my name and kindly took the time to greet me even while busy cleaning—it made me very happy. Last time, when Kanaru suddenly wandered off, they gently reassured me by saying, “It’s because a staff member who gives him treats just walked by,” which really warmed my heart. This time I got to pet him a lot, and I was also glad to hear more stories about Kanaru. Even late at night when heading toward the parking lot, there were staff members at the front desk and near the entrance/exit area, which made me feel safe. At breakfast as well, the pleasant greetings and guidance put me in a great mood, and having someone serve rice and miso soup made me feel at ease—I didn’t have to worry about spilling anything. I also overheard them telling another guest, “A window seat has opened up—would you like to move over?” and it really showed how much they want guests to be happy. (I understand this depends on timing and available seating.) At checkout too, they carried my heavy luggage all the way to my car—I was impressed until the very end. There were countless other thoughtful touches and support that I can’t possibly list them all. The more I visit, the more comfortable it feels here. Among Accommodations with high Reviews online there are some where you wonder why—but this place is the opposite. I honestly think 5.00 would be fair; in reality it exceeds its Reviews! As soon as I got home, I already wanted to come back again.

I stayed in a newly renovated Room, and it was wonderful. The in-room perks were excellent. In particular, the all-you-can-eat gelato was an incredibly generous service—perfect after the Onsen—and I enjoyed trying many different flavors. Everything was delicious. The pre-dinner aperitif can be chosen from the menu, and the lounge coffee machine is truly high-quality, so I used it many times. Both the quality and quantity of the meals were very satisfying, and what impressed me most was the staff. There were many young team members, but everyone’s hospitality was outstanding. Some staff members spent a long time chatting with elderly guests because they were approached for conversation, yet they responded without showing any displeasure at all—I was genuinely impressed. You can also enjoy two different types of Onsen water, and I think this Accommodation offers excellent value for money. I will definitely return again. It was my first time back in Yufuin in about 40 years. It has now become a famous Onsen destination visited by many people, and since this Accommodation is located in an area popular with tourists, I was a little worried it might be noisy. However, once I stepped inside, a calm space opened up that made me forget the bustle outside. This time we stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. Perhaps because the building is relatively new, everything—including the shower room—was kept very clean and well maintained, and we were able to relax comfortably throughout our stay. The meals were also very carefully prepared, with an ideal portion size and excellent quality that even we, as an elderly couple, could fully enjoy. The staff kindly helped us choose drinks as well, and we enjoyed their recommended delicious sake. The location is outstanding too—right across from Snoopy Town and just a short walk to Lake Kinrin. We were fortunate to find such a wonderful Accommodation on our long-awaited return to Yufuin. It has become one of our favorite places to stay, and we would love to return again when we visit Yufuin. Thank you very much.

Although the building and Room are not the newest, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality—clearly reflecting excellent training—felt genuinely warm rather than scripted. The food was also stylish and delicious, and we had a very comfortable stay.

We stayed here as a family of four during summer vacation. We chose the No Meals Included plan because we planned to enjoy street food along Dogo Onsen’s Haikara Street, and it turned out to be an outstanding stay: everything was spotless, the Onsen was excellent, the futons were very comfortable, and access to Haikara Street was great. Above all, the staff worked seamlessly as a team and responded quickly and courteously—it was truly impressive. Our whole family agreed we were lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation. This time we booked No Meals Included, but the Ryokan meals also looked delicious, so next time we’d like to stay with meals included. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. I stayed here for the first time because I’d heard the breakfast was delicious! There’s a large public bath, the Room bath is spacious, and of course the breakfast was great. It was a bit disappointing that the Room refrigerator didn’t have a freezing function, but they were able to provide ice the next day, which really helped. I also regret that I couldn’t make it in time for the curry served from the evening. I’d like to stay here again if I’m in the area.

Despite being located in a lively part of town, the property felt like a different world—wrapped in serene tranquility. The cool breeze drifting through the reed doors and the pleasantly textured ajiro weaving, which I experienced for the first time, deeply moved me as part of Japan’s beautiful “summer setting.” Listening to the gentle sound of the shishi-odoshi echoing through the impeccably kept garden and spending time in the dignified tea room were truly luxurious moments that soothed my soul. The food and drinks were also exceptional—everything felt wonderfully satisfying to all five senses. Thank you sincerely for your thoughtful touches throughout. It became a wonderful summer memory, and my first visit back to Kyoto in a while was made even more special.

I stayed here with my mother. The Accommodation was spotless, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared and truly delicious! Above all, the hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was outstanding. When I come to Yufuin again, it’s not just that I want to stay in Yufuin—I want to visit Yufuin so I can stay at this Accommodation.

I stayed here with my husband in winter last time, and this time with our daughter as a group of three. The Room was beautiful and spotless, and the open-air bath was wonderful. The large public bath was also quiet, and we were able to relax at our own pace. The meals were truly delicious, and we enjoyed them with our eyes as well, served in refreshing-looking tableware. The staff were kind, and we had a very comfortable stay. Next time, I’d like to visit in spring. This is my favorite Accommodation.

Perched on a hill near Kawana Station, this Accommodation has a wonderful sense of charm. Even though it is upscale, the attendants were warm and approachable, making our stay truly comfortable. The Onsen baths are available both indoors and outdoors, and we could enjoy them at the same time; the water quality was excellent. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding—as expected of a renowned Ryokan—and we enjoyed it so much that we even had the late-night snack. The peaceful atmosphere, with occasional birdsong, was so soothing that we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return.

We stayed here to celebrate an anniversary with close friends! The stylishly designed living area and the Room with a sauna were absolutely perfect for a girls’ trip. If we have the chance, we’d love to stay again. Thank you very much!

This was our first trip with Mameko, our 8-month-old Shiba Inu. We had various concerns, but in the end it was a very satisfying stay. It started with the front desk’s kind and attentive service. It reminded us how important the atmosphere at check-in really is. We quickly made a Reservation for a private bath. Our Japanese-style Room was spacious enough, and the crate was large as well. The view from the window wasn’t great; it seems a Room on the opposite side of the hallway would have been better. Next was the outdoor dog run. It was covered with wood chips, which were gentle on our dog’s paws. However, it didn’t seem well maintained, and we didn’t see any other families using it. Then came the private bath. Dogs aren’t allowed in the bathtub for people, but there was a large tub placed in the washing area, so we could bathe together and still enjoy an Onsen-like experience. One thing to note: there was a brush provided, but it had plenty of hair from a previous dog on it—perhaps it was missed during cleaning—which was disappointing. Dinner was finally served, and both quantity and quality were more than satisfying. The tables were spaced appropriately apart, so we could relax comfortably alongside other dogs as well. The only disappointment was that my favorite salt-grilled ayu wasn’t cooked through enough. Ayu is usually edible from head to tail when properly grilled, but this one had hard bones (head and tail) that couldn’t be eaten. My wife’s portion was nearly raw; they re-grilled it for her, but even then the bones remained too hard to eat. Ayu needs to be grilled slowly over time; this felt like only the surface had been browned with a grill to save time and effort. I believe this should be improved promptly. There are two indoor dog runs as well—both were excellent spaces where we could also get along with other guests’ families. The large public bathhouse was a good size, and above all else, the sulfur Onsen was outstanding. They recommended “time bathing” (going in and out) because it’s hot; I gradually got used to it and eventually enjoyed how pleasantly the sulfur seemed to cling to my skin. After bathing there were massage chairs—three units including newer models—and having them free of charge really lived up to expectations. Breakfast the next morning also left us fully satisfied. One more small point: staff members kindly fussed over Mameko, but since they handle food service as well, I felt it might be better not to touch dogs during meal service. Overall, our 1-night/2-day stay ended on an extremely positive note. Beyond great value for money, we could truly feel everyone’s hospitality—this has become one of our family’s Accommodations we would like to visit again.”

This was our first stay, and thank you very much for preparing such a wonderful Room! Our family had a great time. Since we have a small child, we really appreciated the valet service on hot days, and we were truly happy when your staff helped carry our plates to the table at the breakfast buffet while I was holding my child. Also, because we could switch our breakfast vouchers to the lunch buffet at your affiliated Hotel next door, it was a big help that they didn’t go to waste even on days when we had to head out early in the morning. The value for money is excellent and the in-house Facilities are well equipped—this is a Hotel I would recommend to friends and acquaintances. Thanks to you, it was a very satisfying trip. We would love to stay again.

I stayed here with my child. The building blends beautifully into a quiet, peaceful town, and its wonderful atmosphere instantly soothed both body and mind after a long day of walking.
