I recently stayed at Kawano-an, a separate building of Momijiya. Located in a quiet riverside area, the room offered beautiful views of the river, which was very soothing. Especially in the morning, waking up to the sound of the flowing river and birdsong allowed me to forget the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy peaceful moments. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful traditional Japanese atmosphere. The staff were very kind and provided attentive hospitality. The meals were made with fresh local ingredients and were all delicious. The dinner especially showcased seasonal flavors with beautifully presented dishes that were also visually enjoyable. The bath was relaxing and helped relieve my tired body completely. Overall, it was an excellent accommodation where I could feel Japan's traditional hospitality. I would love to visit again if I have another opportunity!

I stayed here while snow was gently falling. It was a huge help that they stored my luggage both before and after check-in. I stayed in Room 203. It’s a room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The room was very spacious, with a latest-model TV, a ReFa showerhead, a wide vanity, and a bathtub with a washing area. The toilet was fully automatic as well—everything was excellent. All amenities were MIKIMOTO. My hair usually feels rough when I use Hotel shampoo, but at this Accommodation it stayed smooth and silky. There is an guests-only lounge, and it was a lovely service that coffee, tea, and more were available freely until midnight. I also appreciated being able to take drinks back to my Room. I had coffee at check-in, and it matched my taste perfectly—really delicious. The breakfast I had been looking forward to was 100/100. I’ve eaten at luxury Hotels before, but this may have been the best I’ve ever had. Everything was wonderful, but what especially stood out were the yuzu-scented okara (unohana), fu dengaku, the white-dashi miso soup, and the dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet). When I mentioned it was my birthday this time, they decorated the guest room beautifully and even offered matcha—such thoughtful hospitality. All staff members were incredibly kind, with such a warm and homey atmosphere that made it easy to talk to them. Watching how warmly they treated other guests also made me feel happy. I think this is the best Accommodation—one that welcomes you warmly whether it’s for a special occasion or not. Next time I visit, I’ll come specifically to enjoy an unhurried Hotel stay. Thank you very much. I look forward to staying again.

It feels a bit old, but that’s part of the charm. The Onsen was amazing! I could drink as much beer as I wanted, enjoy plenty of snacks, and relax in a calm atmosphere. It truly felt like we were visiting right in the middle of nature, which was fantastic. This time we planned a 6-day trip, and I’m glad we started on day one at this Accommodation!!

I made a last-minute Reservation an hour before check-in and stayed for one night. I booked knowing in advance that the building seemed old, but with breakfast included at this price, I was more than satisfied—who could complain? The building is old, and the in-room bathroom and toilet are small; it really feels like an older property. The front desk staff were very polite, there was a welcome drink (one time), parking was 300 yen, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station—you can take a shortcut by crossing the nearby bridge. I didn’t expect much, but breakfast was properly done as well. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

This was our second stay, and we were able to relax in the very spacious room. The bath was also very pleasant and helped relieve our fatigue.

Room: The room and other facilities are old, but they have a charming atmosphere that added to the experience. Bath: Located in a separate building across a picturesque garden, the bath was delightful with excellent hot water. Meals: Mostly seafood dishes, including abalone sashimi. Everything was delicious and highly satisfying.

I stayed here to visit Senjojiki Cirque. There is parking, and the Room had just been renovated and was clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The spacious Room had one semi-double bed and one single bed. We used it as a twin, but it would also work well for a family. The bath and toilet were separate, which was convenient because we didn’t have to wait our turn. Since we had an early schedule, we chose the no-breakfast Plan. It’s about a 20-minute drive to Suganodai Bus Terminal.

I was a little unsure about where the reception was, but they kindly assisted me over the phone and I found it right away! The Room and kitchen were both very well equipped, and the Facility amenities were excellent. There were also plenty of amenities for dogs, which was really helpful!! We were able to let our dog run around in the outdoor garden, and we were very satisfied! Thank you!

Thank you very much for a truly comfortable stay. The Room was even more spacious than we had imagined, and our grandchildren were thrilled from the moment they walked in, exclaiming, “So big! So clean!” Just before our stay, one of our party fell ill, and we ended up canceling once and then making a new Reservation at our grandchildren’s strong request. Despite the inconvenience, you handled everything so kindly, and we are truly grateful. I also misunderstood the evening bath cleaning time; when I finally came out after soaking at length, you asked with a wry smile, “Are you finished…?”—and once again your gentle response really helped us. With everything that happened, it honestly became quite a challenging trip, but my daughter—who had not been feeling well—seemed to feel better than when she arrived. She was delighted and said it felt like a therapeutic hot-spring retreat. Thank you for that. Above all, Kawakami Village itself—nestled between the Yoshino River and Mount Omine—was an incredibly soothing place. It was a wonderful trip that relaxed both body and mind. Thank you very much.

As we didn’t have large suitcases, there was no inconvenience and it didn’t feel cramped thanks to the luggage rack and other amenities. The Room had only a shower booth, but it was more convenient than a shower curtain setup, and the toilet was separate, so there were no issues. Personally, I would have liked another type of towel in a different size. The mattress was great and I slept comfortably, and the large mirror was convenient for two people to use. Breakfast met my expectations; I was surprised they had sparkling wine available, but I enjoyed it. I’d like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

This is by no means a new Hotel. The interior still has a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere, and I really loved that. Even though it’s an older building, it’s well maintained and clean throughout, with a calming feel. Unlike modern Hotels, there’s a special charm in enjoying the experience of staying at a classic, traditional Hotel. The breakfast was also excellent. It isn’t flashy, but you can tell it’s carefully prepared, and it made for a wonderful start to the day. I also heard this Hotel has been used as a filming location for TV dramas and movies. There are photos related to past shoots inside, and I found myself thinking, “Now I see why they chose this place.” It may not be the best fit for those looking for something new and stylish. But for anyone who wants to relax in a well-kept Accommodation while enjoying that nostalgic Showa vibe, I think it’s a truly charming Hotel. When I come back to Hakuba, this is an Accommodation I’d happily stay at again.

I stayed here for sightseeing. The Facility is old, but the staff were so kind that it didn’t bother me at all, and the meals were delicious. It wasn’t flashy, but many ingredients from Aomori were used, and the flavors were exceptional. Also, the sake was from Towada and was simply very good. If you’re taking the bus instead of driving, I recommend boarding at Hachinohe Station or Misawa Station and getting off at Towada City Chuo, as it’s very close to the Hotel. There is also a large local supermarket within walking distance from the Hotel, so you can get most things you need. If I have a chance to visit Towada again, I’d love to stay here again. I’m glad I chose Rishiri Fuji Kanko Hotel for the first night of my Rishiri–Rebun trip. It’s conveniently located just a short walk from the ferry terminal, which made it easy to get an early start the next day. The Room was clean and had a great view, making for a very pleasant stay. The morning Hime-numa mini tour also became a wonderful memory.

Within walking distance of ROHM Theatre. The bed and bathroom were clean, and the stay was comfortable. The Room electricity turns off when you leave, so the beer in the refrigerator didn’t stay cold, but that was about it. It was very reasonably priced, and I think I’ll stay again next time.

This is my second stay. The Room is thoroughly cleaned, feels very fresh, and is extremely comfortable. However, the stairs are steep and there are steps, so it may be a bit difficult for guests with weak legs or mobility issues. That said, the best part is that natural Onsen water comes directly from the bathroom faucet. It’s a private Onsen bathroom. The water temperature is just right, so you can soak and relax at your own pace. Lake Suwa spreads out right in front of you across the road from the building—amazing views. It was cherry blossom season, and we were able to enjoy hanami at a leisurely pace. It was a very comfortable trip.

The room, large public bath, meals, and service were all satisfying. I stayed in a room with a private bath, which was clean and had a great view, making me feel like I didn’t even need to visit the large public bath. Of course, the large public bath was also excellent. I chose the dinner set plan, and everything was delicious. Personally, as someone who doesn’t drink much alcohol, I really appreciated having a pitcher of cold water placed at my table. The service was minimal yet attentive; staff checked in at just the right moments during meals, which made for a pleasant experience. Additionally, they informed me of the approximate sunrise time so I could enjoy a beautiful sunrise from my room.

I stayed for one night because a family member was being discharged early in the morning. It’s very convenient since it’s close to both the station and the hospital. I booked a non-smoking Room, and I wasn’t thrilled to learn there was a smoking area on the floor, but thankfully there was no cigarette smell. The unit bath was fairly spacious, and I also liked that the sink area was separate. However, due to my misunderstanding, I thought Kikonai also charged an Accommodation Tax, so I asked a male staff member at the front desk what the difference is between places that charge it and places that don’t. His response was basically “Why are you asking me?” When I looked into it more closely, it seems all of Hokkaido may be subject to an Accommodation Tax. I’ll check later, but since it’s a Hotel-related question, I would have appreciated an answer (sorry for my ignorance). Also, I wasn’t told that there were no amenities in the Room and that I needed to pick them up at the front desk. It was a hassle to go get them, but since I had stayed at a friend’s place until the day before and still had some with me, I used those instead. I’m glad I kept them with me rather than packing them away. There were cars with license plates from many different areas around Hokkaido, but the Hotel itself was quiet and nice. There are convenience stores and izakaya nearby as well, so it didn’t feel inconvenient. If I go to Kikonai again, I’d like to stay here again. One thing I found strange is why staying on Monday costs more than staying on Sunday. (Sorry again for my lack of knowledge.) Most other places are cheaper on weekdays—just something I wondered about.

Conveniently located near the station, and just the right walking distance to the ruins of Kuwana Castle. With an izakaya right next door, you won’t have to worry about finding a place to eat when you don’t feel like searching.

The Onsen was so relaxing! The Tateyama view in the morning was beautiful. Breakfast—the curry, yogurt, and croissants—was delicious.
