I made a Reservation about two weeks in advance for a university open campus event. I was looking for a twin-bed Room, so I was relieved to secure one. It’s a bit far from the station, but it’s located roughly halfway between the university and the station. I couldn’t find a convenience store nearby, so it’s best to buy what you need around the station before heading over. The Room had air conditioning and felt clean. Amenities are available on the first floor for guests to take freely. Meals were served on the 13th floor, with a wide variety of Japanese and Western options and a great view. The salmon and rolled omelet set was delicious, as were the apple pie and apple sorbet.

The breakfast buffet was a big hit with my family! The bath was also wonderful. On our way home, I realized at Gamagori Station that I had left my wallet on a sofa on the first-floor lobby of the Hotel, and I panicked and called. A kind guest turned it in to the front desk, and a staff member even brought it to the station. I’m truly sorry for the trouble, but your kindness saved our trip. We will definitely stay again next time. Thank you very much.

We stayed at this Accommodation with our children while visiting family. Both the meals and the Onsen were excellent. The open-air bath temperature was just right for our child, and they were very happy. They were also delighted that somen noodles were served with the children’s meal. Because there aren’t many Rooms, the property felt calm and relaxing throughout. Thank you very much.

Located in a secluded area with an exceptional view from the window! The atmosphere, reminiscent of a place where bears might appear, adds to the charm!

Although the building is old, it is very well cleaned and the hospitality is excellent, so I think this is an Accommodation you can be truly satisfied with. It was also fun and nostalgic to be able to contact the front desk using a telephone you don’t see these days—perhaps making good use of the property’s vintage charm. One small thing: the yukata brought to me because the size didn’t fit had a slight odor that concerned me a bit. That said, I may simply be overly sensitive. In any case, the service is outstanding, and every staff member provided wonderful hospitality. I was deeply impressed by their thoughtful attention to detail. By chance there was a festival that day and we were able to watch fireworks; they even told us the best viewing spot, which made it a great memory. Thank you very much. As for the meals, the rice was cooked perfectly and delicious. The side dishes were excellent as well, but especially how good the rice was stood out. One suggestion: if the green onions in the breakfast miso soup could be lightly cooked in advance, then warming it at the table would make it even tastier—I felt they sometimes didn’t cook through enough with table heating alone. Still, overall everything was extremely delicious. This is an Accommodation I will definitely want to stay at again when I visit Kaminoyama Onsen.

We stayed here as a family. Overall, we had no complaints. The staff’s desire to provide warm hospitality came through clearly in their words and actions. It is an Accommodation we would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

Well, speaking as a couple, this is gradually becoming our ideal Hotel (laughs). The Room is a comfortable size and never feels cramped. The staff—and the chef and kitchen team—work in perfect sync, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meals at an unhurried pace. And the in-room Onsen was wonderful. We usually prefer a fully Japanese breakfast, but everything here—from the salad to the main dish—was flawless. If we had to mention one thing, it might be limited to the Rooms on the second floor: when other guests open or close their doors, perhaps due to air pressure, we sometimes heard a rattling sound as our door seemed to shake, which startled us (and it can make you aware of people coming and going). Even so, we keep making another Reservation—this may become our one-and-only Hotel.

I arrived feeling a bit uneasy because it was relatively inexpensive and a smoking Room. I checked in around 9:00 pm and was greeted with a smile. They clearly explained the bath, changing clothes, and breakfast. The entrance area felt spacious and luxurious. Other than a toothbrush and towels, you pick up whatever amenities you need at the amenity bar near the front desk, and you also borrow loungewear from shelves nearby. It looked like you could choose between yukata and jinbei. If you have a lot of luggage, this might be a bit of a hassle. It seemed they offered late-night soba from 9:00 to 9:30 pm, but I wasn’t very hungry so I didn’t use it. The elevator area and hallways are on the darker side, but it gives a calm atmosphere. Some Reviews mentioned odors, but I didn’t notice anything in particular. When I got to the Room, it was cleaner than I expected, and there was no noticeable smell. It felt like: two beds in a large Japanese-style room, futons in a smaller Japanese-style room, and one bed in a smaller Western-style room. The air conditioning worked well and kept us cool. Internet is available via both Wi‑Fi and wired LAN. Wi‑Fi tends to slow down when it’s crowded, but if you connect your own small wireless router to the wired LAN, it’s comfortable. The bathroom and toilet were separate, and both were kept clean. The toilet has an electronic bidet seat. Breakfast is buffet-style: Western options like bread rolls with sausages, nuggets, and egg dishes, and classic Japanese items like white rice with grilled fish, natto, and miso soup. You can drink Saza Coffee at the complimentary drink bar (no extra charge), and even take it back to your Room. Very nice! It’s close to Hitachi Seaside Park, so demand is high depending on the season, but if possible I’d like to stay here again next year.

I stayed here the night before my trip. I had to work early the next morning, so it was very helpful.

Spacious Rooms, a well-stocked breakfast buffet, and a ferry trip from the Chiba side. It met everyone’s needs in our family, so we stayed here again! The guest room had separate Rooms, making it feel like being at home. We were able to relax and stay right up until just before check-out. For dinner, we went to a nearby sushi restaurant. At Misaki Port, we bought fish and vegetables as souvenirs. It was a very satisfying one-night, two-day trip!

It was so lush and green that it hardly felt like Osaka, and it was incredibly relaxing. The staff were kind, and we had a wonderful time. Thank you very much. We will visit again.

It was a typical Business Hotel, but the breakfast buffet was satisfying, and I felt it offered excellent value for money.

I called in advance to let them know I would be checking in later than planned. They told me they would explain where the parking lot was at check-in, and their directions were very detailed, so it was easy to find. There is a small step, so you need a bit of momentum to park. Kei cars cost 430 yen. I made a Reservation for a windowless single Room, but they kindly prepared what seemed like a semi-double bed instead—and it even had a window. At the front desk, you receive a toothbrush and a gown to sleep in. There is no makeup remover, toner, comb, or tea. However, the Room has an electric kettle, refrigerator, and hair dryer, so I didn’t feel inconvenienced at all. Slippers were provided. The TV was probably around 65 inches, and there were 22 power outlets available. Since there is only one light in the Room, bringing the table under it makes it possible to write or do desk work. I later found out that you can borrow a desk lamp. At night, I could hear the neighboring guest snoring from behind the TV area. For breakfast coffee, each cup was brewed with a De’Longhi coffee machine. The boiled egg was cooked perfectly. There were roll buns (plain and raisin), but nothing in particular to put on them; warming them slightly in the microwave in the hallway made them taste great. The front desk staff were also excellent and greeted me every time I went down to the first floor. At this price point, I would definitely like to stay again.

From check-in until our car left the Ryokan, the staff naturally came outside to welcome and see us off. I think there are very few Ryokan or Hotels that do this. The preparation of the futon bedding and in-Room dining was pleasant, and it made for a wonderful stay. Every dish was delicious, and the portions were very satisfying. If I had one request, I would be happy if there were a bit more local vegetables—especially for guests in their 50s like us. This may be a matter of preference, but I felt the miso soup would have been even better if it were served a little hotter. Similarly, I would have preferred the water in the large public bath to be slightly hotter. What impressed me most was how thoroughly everything was cleaned. Even at expensive Hotels or Ryokan, you often notice dust in hidden areas or peeling wallpaper and small flaws here and there, but everything visible was very clean. Precisely because it isn’t brand-new, it felt especially comfortable. It was my first stay here, but I feel like I got great value. My only concern is that many of the staff seemed to be around my age or a bit older, so I hope this Ryokan will continue for many years and be passed on to the next generation so guests can keep enjoying it. Breakfast in the Room was excellent. We could relax without having to get ready or change clothes. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. Thank you for your hospitality. Just one thing: with only the large mirror in the Room, it was a little inconvenient when applying makeup. A small movable mirror would be helpful for women. Sorry if I simply couldn’t find one.

Our family has been coming here for four generations since the early days, and this time the timing worked out, so I visited with my mother and cousin on a trip for three. With its thoughtful design for elderly guests, meals that make the most of excellent ingredients in a satisfying yet not excessive amount, and a spotless bath area kept clean with frequent cleaning, it truly is a wonderful, prestigious Accommodation. Most places have one or two little moments that make you think “Hmm?”, but from arrival to departure everything was comfortable, making for an excellent stay. Next time, around autumn, I’m hoping to visit again on my own for a change of pace—or perhaps with just my son.

It was raining when we arrived, and the nearby parking lots were full, but staff were waiting at the entrance and assisted us. The Onsen had different temperatures in each bath, so we could relax at our own pace. The water quality was also excellent. The meals focused on locally sourced ingredients, and we enjoyed a wide variety of dishes. We had a very relaxing stay.

This was my first stay, and I really enjoyed the beautiful views, the clean Room, and the delicious buffet. The paella was especially tasty. Since it was a weekday, the lounge wasn’t crowded, and I was able to enjoy plenty of alcoholic drinks. It was a very satisfying stay. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again.

This time we stayed in the VIP Room and enjoyed the premium kaiseki dinner course. The Room was very spacious, the garden was beautifully maintained, and the private open-air bath attached to the Room was excellent. All of the staff who assisted us were very kind, and every dinner dish was carefully prepared and truly delicious. Breakfast seemed to be the same for all courses, but since we can’t eat much in the morning, we personally appreciated that it was on the lighter side. We also visited the large public bath, but we noticed towels left at washing stations that were not being used and some guests reserving spots. We think it would be even better if there were guidance on how to use the facilities in languages other than Japanese. Access was convenient—about a 7-minute walk to the streetcar stop. By taxi or car, you can reach major sightseeing spots in about 15 minutes, so if you don’t have a car, using both the streetcar and taxis makes it easy to get around. It was a 5-minute drive from the airport, so being able to leave our luggage before/after our stay was very convenient. If we have another opportunity, we would love to stay again for about two nights in a VIP Room with the premium dining course. Thank you very much.
