We were upgraded to a larger Room free of charge. It was clean with almost no issues, and considering the price, it was an unexpectedly great deal. The only issue was that the shower temperature control valve would not move, so the water stayed cold and the shower was unusable.

I stayed one night to view the cherry blossoms at Takato Castle Ruins Park. As a Business Hotel, it had all the necessary Facility and amenities without excess. The service was professional and reliable. The meals were typical of the Route Inn Hotel chain—nothing special, but perfectly acceptable. I think it couldn’t be helped that breakfast was crowded and there was a line. Above all, I appreciated having a large public bath where I could relax.

Within walking distance of ROHM Theatre. The bed and bathroom were clean, and the stay was comfortable. The Room electricity turns off when you leave, so the beer in the refrigerator didn’t stay cold, but that was about it. It was very reasonably priced, and I think I’ll stay again next time.

I had a very comfortable stay. The Room was spacious and clean. It was quiet at night, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. I would like to stay here again.

This was our second stay, and we were able to relax in the very spacious room. The bath was also very pleasant and helped relieve our fatigue.

The front desk staff were very helpful. The Room and bathtub were both spacious, and I was able to relax a lot. It was very convenient since the adjacent shopping center has most of what you need. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It would have been even better if tea had been available instead of water, and if there had been dessert. Breakfast was also good.

The front desk staff provided courteous and pleasant service during both check-in and check-out. The complimentary services were exceptional, especially the free dinner bowls, which were the highlight of my stay. I only needed to purchase a salad and edamame from a convenience store to complete a satisfying dinner. That evening, there were curry and two types of bowls (frozen pre-packaged beef bowl and ginger pork bowl), both of which were truly delicious. The free soft drink bar even included an alcohol button, offering highballs and sours, with sake available nearby. Additionally, there were stick drinks, tea bags, soup packets, mini ramen, ochazuke packs, and bean snacks, making the service truly outstanding. However, I was disappointed not to find a cold water pitcher, which I believe is in high demand. The hotel also has an attached izakaya, which I considered visiting if I wanted more drinks. However, the loud voices of some patrons early in the evening made it uninviting, so I decided not to go. When I asked the front desk about takeout options, they mentioned it was a separate business, so they were unsure. In the end, the free bowls and drinks were more than enough, and I didn’t use the izakaya. The breakfast venue is the same izakaya, operating in a buffet style. Nearly half the seating area is used for the food stations, resulting in limited seating and potential wait times depending on the timing. When I stayed at Toyoko Inn Kurashiki, the lobby served as the breakfast area, which was quite small, but they provided takeout bento boxes for room dining, allowing for a relaxed breakfast experience. If the crowding persists, this could be a consideration for improvement. The bed in the room had a springy mattress, which I personally found uncomfortable. This was my second experience, after Cuore Kurashiki Hotel, where I bounced too much during a turn and fell off the bed. The height caused me to hit my knee hard, leaving a significant bruise. The rental services were excellent, so I would appreciate the addition of bed guards or floor impact-absorbing mats for rental. This would provide peace of mind for future stays. The bath is a bit old-fashioned, but the Onsen water was wonderfully silky and excellent. As others have mentioned, the building is older and has quite a few stairs, but it has been nicely renovated and thoroughly cleaned, so it didn’t bother us and we were comfortable. The Accommodation staff were also very kind.

After 9:00 p.m., there were no taxis at Arai Station, but I called the Hotel and they arranged one for me. The Onsen was clean, and the breakfast had a good variety and was delicious.

This was my first stay, and it offered far more freedom than a Business Hotel with No Meals Included. The sunset over the sea in the evening was amazing! I enjoyed a blissful time sipping freshly brewed drip coffee. Great value—100 out of 100.

Stayed with my 93-year-old mother. The room and restaurant were on the second floor, and while the lack of an elevator might be a drawback for elderly guests, the staff kindly provided a wheelchair and assisted us by carrying it up the stairs. The bath was clean, with flowing hot spring water, which was excellent. The room had been renovated and was very clean; however, there were many steps inside the room that could be challenging for elderly guests (though not an issue for younger visitors). From our room, we had a view of the well-maintained garden, which I imagine would be stunning during autumn foliage season. Located within a golf course facility, there is also an impressive rock sculpture—possibly man-made or utilizing natural elements—that is worth seeing. The golf course itself is well-maintained and makes this accommodation ideal for those planning an overnight golfing trip.

Stayed for one night alone on a business trip. The location is a short walk from the bustling areas of Susukino and Odori. If proximity to the station is not your top priority, this accommodation is an excellent choice. There is also parking available, making it convenient for those traveling by car. The room is about 30 square meters, functional, and well-designed. It features a bathroom with a separate washing area and an easy-to-use sink. Regarding the hotel name "Holiday Inn & Suites," using "suites" in katakana might cause confusion among Japanese guests as it could be mistaken for "sweets." This could lead to misunderstandings about the brand's positioning or offerings.

It was a truly wonderful Ryokan with a nostalgic, traditional atmosphere while still feeling very clean. I especially recommend the private open-air bath in the guest room—it was incredibly relaxing. We had both breakfast and dinner, and they were excellent in both taste and portion size. Also, even though it was last-minute, I asked on the day for a surprise plate for my wife, and they kindly arranged it for us. I don’t usually return to the same place when traveling, but this is somewhere I’d like to visit again next year. Highly recommended.

The interior was stylish, and the place was very clean. However, I had trouble because you can’t watch regular TV, and I usually keep the TV on all the time.\nI think older guests may find this inconvenient.

The traditional Japanese house atmosphere was wonderful, and the interior was kept very clean. I enjoyed a unique ambiance and relaxing time that I don't usually experience in daily life. Although I was slightly disappointed as the bath looked like a hinoki cypress bath in the photos, it turned out not to be one, but it was still clean and pleasant. If I visit Hida Takayama again, I would love to stay here once more.

Stayed at the accommodation while enjoying cherry blossoms at Rakutenchi with my 90-year-old mother. A spacious room with a relaxing cypress bath. The food was excellent. The staff were very courteous, making it a pleasant trip. We also received admission tickets to Rakutenchi. My mother was delighted to see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Thank you very much!

I stayed for one night. The Room had an ocean view. Despite being November, it was warm thanks to the sunlight. The building might be old, but everything was thoroughly cleaned and felt very comfortable. The drink bar's used glasses were frequently collected, keeping it always clean. During the bath inspection time, the staff worked quickly without being intrusive and even asked about the water temperature, which was very soothing. The water temperature was perfect!

Facilities & Surroundings There are very few shared Facilities, and the overall layout is compact. There isn’t much to do within walking distance nearby, so it felt difficult to go out without a car. Room The Room isn’t especially spacious, but it has the basic essentials. It feels more like a vacation home than a Hotel, with a noticeable “home-like” atmosphere for better or worse. Some details also feel cost-conscious in design, which may come down to personal preference. Onsen There is only an open-air bath, but it was enough to enjoy during the stay. Service Rather than the polished service you might expect from typical Hotel staff, the operation felt relatively casual. If you’re expecting luxury-Hotel-level professionalism and hospitality, it may feel different from what you imagine. Dining The cuisine is French-inspired and makes good use of local ingredients; overall, everything was delicious. That said, in the latter courses it felt less about premium ingredients themselves and more about creatively finishing dishes with comparatively lower-cost items. Considering the restaurant on its own, my satisfaction level felt around JPY 20,000 per person. Overall Review While the dining was excellent, considering this as “staying as an overnight guest,” I felt the price was somewhat high when factoring in the Room and overall Facilities. On the other hand, if viewed more like usage rights or a membership-style Accommodation rather than a standard Hotel stay, your perspective may differ. Overall, this seems better suited for those who want to enjoy quiet surroundings along with dining and an Onsen experience than for those seeking a distinctly luxurious getaway or highly attentive service.

Everything was beautifully organized, quiet, and very comfortable. I would love to visit again in a different season.
