Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, including local ingredients and Hatto-jiru soup. Breakfast was a Japanese and Western buffet with soba noodles and yogurt as well, and everything was delicious. The staff were kind and courteous. The Hotel is old but well maintained. It’s quite a walk to the Onsen, but there are rest areas along the way, showing thoughtful consideration. In the Room, having two kettles (hot and cold) along with tea snacks was a welcome service.

I stayed at Oga Hotel because I wanted to see the stone-grilled hot pot. They showed me something truly wonderful. Dinner was a full-course meal, and it was very delicious and satisfying. A bath basket was provided in the Room, which was very convenient for going to the large public bath. Although the Hotel itself is not new, the staff were very pleasant, and I’m glad I chose this Hotel.

Excellent location, be soothed by the view of the Higashiyama ridgeline and the flow of the Kamo River from the Room. Feel the warmth in the owner's thoughtful hospitality.

This is a wonderful Accommodation that blends beautifully into Kakunodate’s townscape. The staff were very kind and helped us in many situations throughout our stay. Thanks to them, we had a memorable and enjoyable trip. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for one night as a family of three. It was our first time staying in a private rental traditional house, but we were interested because the Reviews were good, so we decided to stay. This Accommodation is a renovated traditional house, and we really enjoyed how the old and new elements blend together. The weather was great—not too hot—and we were impressed by the wonderful scenery and the well-equipped Facilities. We also loved the freedom of cooking our own dinner over charcoal. The dim atmosphere inside the Accommodation, its cleanliness, and the kind explanations from the male staff member were much appreciated. It’s another place we’d love to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The Accommodation, with its charming thatched roof, was truly atmospheric. Even though we stayed for only one night, it felt like a special experience. In the quiet surroundings where you can really feel nature, we enjoyed carefully prepared dinner in the evening, and in the morning the colorful breakfast was as pleasing to the eye as it was satisfying in taste. The place is run by a husband and wife, and in particular the wife’s explanations were clear and easy to understand; she also expanded on our questions in conversation, which made our time there very comfortable. This is an Accommodation I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and healing getaway. It’s something you can only fully appreciate by actually going—there are many things I feel are better left undisclosed so you can enjoy discovering them yourself. The bath was deep enough to stretch out comfortably, and the hinoki scent was wonderful. It would be perfect if there were an optional plan that lets you enjoy sake in the bath. You may even be able to witness moments like a cicada molting up close, and if it’s handheld fireworks they can be done near the garden area—so I think it could also be great for families with children as a summer memory. It’s an Accommodation that made me want to return someday—perhaps during autumn foliage season at Mt. Kurikoma.

I stayed here in the middle of an extreme heat wave. The Room was Japanese-style, with a round table and floor cushions. Wi-Fi was available. The futon was already laid out. It didn’t feel old-fashioned at all and was very clean. It’s an out-bath style, but there is a single-person bath right next door. There may not be many Rooms, so it never felt crowded and I could use it without any trouble. Breakfast was very lavish: classic items like grilled salmon, miso soup, rice served in an ohitsu tub, teppan-yaki on a ceramic plate, dessert, cassis vinegar drink, yogurt, and even soft drinks at the end. It was almost too much. The location is a bit far from the ferry terminal, and convenience stores are also near the ferry terminal, so don’t forget to shop beforehand. I’d like to stay here again when I visit.

The property is very close to the station and easy to find. There are many places to eat nearby, making it very convenient and highly recommended. The Room was relatively spacious, so we could relax comfortably even with our suitcases open. Both the interior and the Facility were clean and well equipped, making our stay very comfortable. The hair dryer worked great. We were also able to borrow a hair iron at the front desk. The loungewear with Hikonyan embroidery was very cute. All of the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. It was a big help that they could store our luggage even after check-out. Thanks to you, we had a comfortable trip—thank you very much. Next time, we would like to book meals as well.

Although minimal, the Facility was well equipped. In addition to two provided chairs, there was also a chair suitable for desk work, which seemed convenient for business use.

Wearing a hat in the misty drizzle, I will never forget being able to fully enjoy the beautiful mountain stream and its free-flowing Onsen straight from the source. The abundant volume of hot water, like a geyser, was truly the height of luxury and made for an exceptional holiday. However, it was disappointing that some young people got heavily drunk in the river bath late at night and were shouting loudly, but when I reported it you responded immediately, which I appreciated. I was deeply impressed by your dedication to maintaining order at this traditional Ryokan even at the expense of sleep. I understand there are limits to judging guests in advance, but I feel it would be better to provide thorough reminders beforehand. Sorry for my blunt suggestion. I know it must be difficult with so many different kinds of guests. Still, I thought that filtering out preventable trouble as much as possible would also make things easier for your staff. After all, I want to enjoy this beautiful stream-side hot spring source in peace—and that tranquility is what makes the wonderful cuisine and Room truly shine.

We stayed at the property after climbing Mount Kuju. It was close to the Maki-no-toge trailhead, and after having tea at Shetani, we headed to Hanashinobu. We arrived at 4 PM and received a detailed explanation of the stay from the proprietress before heading straight to the onsen. The quality of the water was good, and there were various onsen options to choose from, which was very pleasant. Dinner was at 6 PM, which was perfect timing. The dinner was luxurious and very delicious. The room was warm, and we slept comfortably. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and we were very satisfied. We would like to visit again. The owner and the proprietress were kind, and it was a warm property.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast service was excellent, offering a variety of bread, yogurt, milk, juice, various beverages, soups, and even noodle soups—so many options to choose from. Although I only used the shower this time due to the season, the bathtub is designed deeper for those who want to soak and relax—a thoughtful touch appreciated by Japanese guests. The Wi-Fi connection was stable enough for me to work comfortably at the accommodation. The accommodation cost was also reasonable, and I would love to stay here again if I have work in this area.

We stayed here as a couple. We made a Reservation because we were looking for an Accommodation where we could relax around Lake Yamanaka, and it turned out to be even better than we expected. What we loved - The grilled rainbow trout at dinner was excellent. We don’t often get the chance to eat it, and it was especially memorable among all the dishes. - The wine-fed beef tenderloin was very tender and cooked perfectly. The garlic grilled rice ball we ordered as an extra was also a great choice. - Breakfast was just as enjoyable, with freshly made hot sandwiches and handmade soba. The soba had a wonderful aroma that really stood out. - The Room and bath were spotless and comfortable. Even details like the placement of outlets were convenient, and we could feel the thoughtful care throughout. - We were happy to have a view of Mt. Fuji from our Room. - Above all, the owner and his wife were truly lovely people. They welcomed us warmly and also told us about Myojinyama Panorama Terrace (mentioned below). The next morning, we visited Myojinyama Panorama Terrace as recommended, and enjoyed an amazing view overlooking both Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka—one of the highlights of our trip. We suggest going a bit early, ideally by around 9:00 a.m., since parking is limited and it gets crowded. Everything—from the food to the scenery to the hospitality—was highly satisfying, and on our way home we kept saying how glad we were that we chose this place. We highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone who wants to spend a relaxing time in Lake Yamanaka. We’d love to visit again in another season.

Our second stay, following last year. Last time we chose a no-meals Plan and brought meat, vegetables, and other ingredients from home to enjoy a BBQ on the terrace. The terrace had a large gas grill, plus a table and chairs always set up. It was pouring rain outside, but the space was completely sheltered from wind and rain, so we could BBQ comfortably as if we were indoors. This time, since we planned to spend dinner with friends’ family in Omura City, we chose a breakfast-only Plan. Right after arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us and provided careful guidance and explanations about the Facility, while our dog enjoyed playing ball in the outdoor yard. Last time we booked a Room with a large garden but couldn’t use it due to heavy rain, so this time we chose one without a garden. Even so, there was still enough yard space for ball play, and there was also a dog run next to the Accommodation building. In addition to an indoor hinoki bath in the Room, there was even an open-air bath, so we could relax in the baths after returning from dinner and again in the morning. For breakfast, more than enough ingredients were prepared in the refrigerator, along with plenty of seasonings and tableware—so we made a luxurious morning meal at our preferred time and in our own way. For reference: my daughter had cheese toast with grilled bacon plus a fresh vegetable salad, yogurt, and soup; my husband had hot sandwiches with fried eggs plus salad and coffee—everyone ate what they liked and was very satisfied. One note: there were thorny plants growing in parts of the yard and dog run; it can be dangerous unless removed before letting dogs play. We ended up trimming some ourselves while saying it would be nice if it were mowed shorter overall. Even so, it’s an excellent Facility—we will definitely stay again.

To satisfy my hungry junior-high grandson, I looked for a place with a delicious buffet. My husband had stayed here twice before and said the Room was spacious, so we chose it. In reality, the roomy interior let each of us relax at our own pace, and the services—like the drink bar and after-bath ice cream—were excellent. My grandson was thrilled. We enjoyed playing in the pool and the Onsen pool, and we also had fun at the evening festival stalls. All of the staff were very kind, which left a great impression. This is a Hotel that makes you want to come back. Just one thing: it was disappointing that it felt hot inside the elevator.

We enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay in the Sukiya-style Room, Futaba Aoi. It was a wonderful Room, filled with the owner’s and Nakamura Sotoji Komuten’s attention to detail in every corner. Both the Western-style room and the in-room bath were very comfortable, and we were able to relax completely. Since Arima’s Onsen town is compact, we took a walk in the morning and then fully enjoyed the Onsen at our Accommodation from the afternoon onward. Even though it was a leisurely trip, time flew by.

We stayed with our children. Since it was relatively affordable, we didn’t have high expectations, but we were glad we could spend our time comfortably. Choosing a property with a pool was the right call in case of rainy weather! They also lent out round swim rings and arm floaties, and there was a lifeguard at the pool. The staff—parking attendants, front desk, breakfast venue staff, and pool lifeguards—were all courteous, which made our stay very pleasant. I’m giving slightly fewer stars because there is no large public bath.

I stayed for three nights with my son during summer vacation to watch baseball at Belluna Dome for three days. The hotel is old, but the staff were courteous, the location is close to the station, and there’s a 24-hour supermarket right in front of the station—everything you need is nearby, so we had no problems at all. I’d like to stay here again if I have the chance.

The Accommodation itself is compact, but the detached annex is impressive and offers plenty of space. The meals were distinctive yet delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared.

This was my first stay. The view from the Room was wonderful, right by Lake Hamana. Since it was summer, we brought handheld fireworks, and they kindly lent us a bucket and candles so we could enjoy them by the lakeside. They also provide a designated trash disposal area, so I highly recommend it. We chose the Plan with dinner and breakfast included and enjoyed buffet-style meals with a wide variety of options, including gyoza and eel—both my spouse and I were very satisfied. On the second day, an unexpected issue came up and we returned to the Hotel late at night; the staff assisted us. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again.
