How many places are there where a feudal lord’s residence still remains at the very heart of the town even today? Being able to stay as a guest in such an estate, and to take in the buildings and gardens—things that would have been impossible to see 100 years ago—to your heart’s content, made for a fascinatingly luxurious time where you can feel history and changing eras up close. It was an Accommodation experience unlike anything I had ever had before. The guest building was new and spotless, with drinks and amenities well provided, making it very comfortable to stay.

Once again, we had a wonderful stay. The room and meals were excellent, of course, but what stayed with us most was the warm kindness of all the staff. On our last day, my husband unexpectedly fell at the gym. Thankfully it was nothing serious, but we truly appreciated all the care and consideration you showed us. At check-out, the Hotel kindly arranged a car to take us to Tokyo Station. After getting out and starting to walk toward the station, I casually looked back and saw that the car had not driven away right away—it remained there quietly seeing us off. I was deeply moved by that warmth and by how much you valued your guests until the very end. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

All staff were exceptionally attentive, the Hotel was spotless and dust-free, and the Room air felt fresh. It was a quiet, comfortable space you wouldn’t expect in the city—an outstanding Hotel. Breakfast was also excellent, with an eel rice bowl, chirashi sushi, miso soup, melon, and more—down to details like tsukudani and Toraya sweet bean paste—so we could relax and enjoy it little by little. I’d love to stay again.

We traveled to Miyazaki from Osaka as a family of three for our daughter’s birthday, because she wanted to try authentic spicy ramen. It was a very hot midsummer day, but the Room was cool, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom with a jet bath was spacious, and we were also delighted with the BVLGARI amenities. Since we hadn’t made a Reservation for the dinner course, we asked for à la carte at the restaurant at short notice. The cheerful chef kindly listened to our requests, and we enjoyed delicious Miyazaki beef and wine in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. For breakfast, the three of us ordered different dishes—Japanese-style breakfast, Western-style breakfast, and Eggs Benedict—and everything was excellent. As we didn’t need to drive anywhere afterward, we were able to enjoy plenty of drinks from the morning. In particular, the original(?) sausage in the Western-style breakfast was so flavorful that I wished I could have had more—either as seconds or even as a takeaway. During our stay, they also prepared a birthday celebration plate for our daughter, recommended a great spicy ramen shop, and gave us time to relax in the lounge with drinks while enjoying conversations with our daughter that we don’t often get to have. Thanks to this warm hospitality from all the staff who created such a welcoming environment, it became an extremely comfortable trip to Miyazaki. I truly think this is a highly recommended Hotel. To all the staff members: thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

This was our first stay on the Club Floor in two years, and thanks to your courteous and pleasant service from check-in onward, we had a very comfortable time. Maybe it’s Okinawa, maybe it’s The Terrace Hotels—either way, the juice in this lounge always tastes especially delicious. We also visited the newly introduced nightcap service, and it was wonderful to relax after dinner with coffee at Maroad. There were piano performances on both nights; each pianist arranged familiar tunes from Studio Ghibli and Disney that anyone can enjoy, and my wife and I had fun listening while guessing the song titles. A lounge staff member who assisted us two years ago even remembered us—just as my wife and I had hoped—and we truly enjoyed chatting together. This time we also used the gym and La Sima for the first time, and my wife was delighted, saying, “This was our most enjoyable stay at The Naha Terrace ever!” Thank you again to all of your staff. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

The Hotel was clean, and we enjoyed delicious meals. However, it was exactly sunset time, and it was disappointing that the curtains were closed so we couldn’t see it. The Onsen had a wonderfully silky texture that left our skin smooth! We used it three times. One thing that concerned me: when we arrived, a staff member came to take our luggage. While we waited with our dog in a stroller, we were told to wait outside until check-in at the front desk was completed. Waiting outside in the summer heat didn’t feel appropriate. If possible, I would have liked to wait inside—even in a corner of the lobby—while only one representative went in to complete the check-in. I heard that around autumn there will be a new Accommodation where guests can stay with their dogs, and I’m looking forward to it! I would also be very happy if there were a dog run.

It was a great Hotel. The directions from Hiroshima Station were easy to understand thanks to the guidance on the website. It will be even more convenient once the underground passage construction is finished. The lobby had a wonderful, out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. It was also helpful that I could leave my luggage before check-in. The Room was spacious and clean, and I couldn’t hear noise from other guests, so I could relax. Breakfast was one of the highlights as well, and it lived up to its reputation—I really enjoyed it. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again if I have the chance.

I booked Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, where you can enjoy the sea of clouds, to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The first surprise was that I had requested a birthday message plate at “Il Teatro,” the Italian restaurant we reserved for dinner, and the Hotel coordinated everything wonderfully—at check-in, they presented my wife with a handwritten birthday message card from the staff. Honestly, I was truly moved by their hospitality. As an IKYU Diamond member, we received a Room upgrade, and they also suggested switching to a suite (for an additional fee). The upgraded garden-view Room was spacious with a beautiful view—we were completely satisfied. The sea of clouds was incredibly magical; it looked different each time depending on the hour, and we never got tired of it no matter how many times we watched. Service at “Il Teatro” during dinner was also excellent, and we had an unforgettable birthday dinner at a window-side table overlooking the garden. The food was delicious, and the recommended Chardonnay was outstanding—exactly my kind of white wine. After that, we went to the bar for cocktails and returned to our Room, but we were having such a great time talking that we ended up missing the final grand sea of clouds show of the night. My wife and I agreed to make Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo our annual birthday tradition, promising each other: “Next year, let’s dine in one of the private rooms used for Hanzawa Naoki filming—and this time we’ll definitely watch the grand nighttime sea of clouds from our Room.” It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much! We will be back!

As it was my first stay, the parking area and the route from the parking area to the lobby were a bit difficult to find, but it was a very satisfying Hotel. The Room size was just right, and above all, its cleanliness was what I found most satisfying. It also felt luxurious and made me feel like I was wealthy. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to use again.

We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday. As I was traveling with my elderly mother, I hesitated until the very last minute about whether it was wise to go far. But because she loves Onsen so much, I decided to make the trip in hopes of making her happy. Even though it was a last-minute Reservation, when I told you it was for my mother’s birthday, you responded quickly and courteously. Your warm message—“All of our staff will do our very best to make it a memorable day”—truly meant a lot to me. We were also looking forward to enjoying the baths at Dogo Onsen and the meals, and above all, seeing how happy my mother would be on the day. After we arrived at the Accommodation, everything exceeded our expectations: delicious food, soothing baths, and most of all the wonderful hospitality from your staff. The birthday surprise for my mother was a huge success!!! She was so happy she even cried. The property was spotless and beautifully maintained. The expansive garden filled with lush greenery was especially breathtaking! Thank you so much for giving our family such an unforgettable and special time. We will definitely return.

This was our second stay with children. Last time, we stayed after visiting Disney. Located inside Kasai Rinkai Park, it’s perfect for letting kids play. This Plan included breakfast, and the food was excellent—no surprise given it’s part of the Okura group. Dinner wasn’t included in the Plan, but we used the restaurant and it was delicious as well. The large public bath was clean and spacious. There aren’t many Hotels in Tokyo with such a large bath, so it was very relaxing. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially to our child. They also stored our luggage on both check-in and check-out days, and we could rest in the lobby and reorganize our bags, which was a big help while spending time in the park with our child. Thank you very much.

This was my third visit this year. I enjoyed the Japanese cuisine on my previous stay, so I chose the kaiseki course again this time. When a seasoned male staff member served our meal, he said, “You visited in May last time, didn’t you?” I was truly touched that he took the time to check (and I’m sorry—I mistakenly said I came in June). The attentive service, breathtaking views, excellent hot spring water quality, spotless changing area, and beautiful interior—this Hotel is the best for me. I hope it will always remain a calm and relaxing place.

The moderately American-style Room decor feels thoughtfully different from a typical Business Hotel. It was a new, clean Room. I was surprised that the bath and toilet were clearly separated. (The bathtub and shower felt like something you’d have at home.) The lighting in the Room is well designed, there are plenty of outlets, and it’s highly functional—overall, the hospitality far exceeded expectations for this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying in quality, and the other guests gave an elegant impression. There were a couple of moments when I noticed the soundproofing, but it was quiet at night.

For the first time in five years, I came by myself this time. At home, I’m always thinking about what I have to do and rarely get a chance to truly relax, but the time I spent at your auberge made me want to pick up books that caught my interest and listen to music I don’t usually hear. It felt wonderfully refreshing—like stepping out of everyday life. The food, of course, was more than satisfying and truly worthy of being called an auberge. Thank you very much!

Hotel New Grand is irresistible for lovers of classic Hotels—everywhere inside feels like a scene from a movie. Please, please don’t do a full renovation and turn it into a modern Hotel; keep this irreplaceable space as it is with careful refurbishments. Dinner and breakfast at Normandy were, needless to say, delicious, and the wine went down easily too. I also enjoyed an elegant time at the bar, and the seaside walk afterward became a cherished memory. The staff’s courteous service was wonderful, and no matter how busy it was, time seemed to flow at an unhurried pace. It reminded me once again that the Hotel staff’s love for—and pride in—the Hotel is what creates this atmosphere.

My spouse, our younger daughter, and my 88-year-old mother stayed for one night. The arrival briefing was thorough and easy to understand, and whenever we had questions—at any time and in any place—the staff always responded accurately and courteously. What made us happiest was celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at the restaurant: they kindly treated us to a special dish with sea bream, red rice, and sake. They also provided my husband with a purple outfit and took a commemorative family photo for us. It became a wonderful celebration, and we were deeply moved by the restaurant team’s thoughtful hospitality. The food was excellent, especially the fresh seafood. We also really enjoyed the Awa Odori event.\nThanks to everyone at the Hotel and restaurant, it was a truly memorable trip, and we are sincerely grateful.

I stayed here during my first trip back home in a while, and I was very satisfied. I usually eat out, but this time I dined at the Hotel’s restaurant, which offered a wide variety of high-quality options, and I really enjoyed the meals. I plan to make this my regular Accommodation from now on.

I was able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time and truly feel refreshed. Although there aren’t many washing stations in the bath area, each one is separated by partitions, which made it easy to use at my own pace without worrying about others. There was plenty of space, and I enjoyed a very comfortable soak. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything from the appetizers onward was delicious. At breakfast, I appreciated being able to choose between rice or rice porridge; the sansho-seasoned baby sardines and lightly seasoned eggplant were especially memorable. The staff’s hospitality was warm and attentive, making my stay comfortable from arrival to departure. I’m truly glad I chose Shikisai Ichiriki.

This was my third visit. On my previous two stays, I enjoyed sweeping views from the room of Matsushima’s vivid blue sea under a crystal-clear sky. This time, however, it rained throughout my 2-night, 3-day stay, and the sea was veiled in white mist; seeing the forecast the day before left me feeling down. Still, while the view outside the window didn’t meet my hopes, I was able to truly savor my time inside the Hotel instead. Sinking into the slightly hot, silky Onsen, I could feel everyday fatigue quietly melt away to the gentle sound of rain. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful and warm hospitality turned a rainy stay into something genuinely comforting. Please accept my heartfelt thanks. Meals are served buffet-style with live cooking finished right in front of you by the chef. Amidst the sizzling sounds and enticing aromas, it was a special luxury to enjoy each dish at its freshest and most delicious. Thanks to the all-inclusive plan, I could pair wine, beer, shochu, highballs, and sake with each course without worrying about extra charges—an absolutely blissful experience. Regardless of the weather, this Hotel’s high-quality Onsen and dining—along with its staff’s sincere dedication to guests—ensure a deeply satisfying stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I’m already looking forward to returning and seeing what kind of Matsushima awaits next time.
