This is a small luxury hotel with 55 rooms. Because of that, the staff pay close attention to every detail. They greeted me by name whenever we passed, and kindly listened to casual conversation—it's the kind of hotel that makes you want to come back again and again.

The female staff member at reception during check-in impressed me with her proactive, exemplary hospitality. I stay at Hotels for a change of pace, and this Hotel made me feel at ease in every way—facilities, staff, and overall comfort—with no small discomforts. It was part of the Plan, but I gladly took them up on it and stayed for 24 hours. At reception, they said, “Please let us know if there is anything you need,” showing a positive attitude. At the restaurant as well: “Please relax and enjoy your stay.” They even asked, “Did you sleep well?” You don’t often hear that elsewhere. It had been a while since I stayed at a major international chain Hotel, and their training truly showed. The Room design is also charming. I can see why it’s popular with guests from both Japan and abroad.

This was my first stay here. From the moment I arrived at the Hotel, the staff’s hospitality at the entrance was so attentive that it’s impossible to compare with other hotels. When I entered my Room, it was spotless—not a speck of dust—and I was truly impressed by the outstanding skill of the housekeeping team. In the evening, I used in-room dining and had grilled vegetables, soup, and focaccia. Everything was absolutely delicious and genuinely moving. If you stay here, I highly recommend trying in-room dining. This time I booked a Plan with breakfast included, so I enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. There were three options to choose from, and I felt it’s a menu loved by guests of all ages. I traveled here from Tohoku, and it took quite a bit of time and money—but this was an exceptional Hotel that still made me think, “I want to stay here anyway!” Thank you very much for taking such great care of me during my stay.

Its kaleidoscopic beauty resonates deeply in the heart. Exquisitely prepared with sincere care, the cuisine is truly delicious. A beautiful garden that reflects the seasons—so captivating you could gaze at it forever. Elegant summer décor that lets you fully experience Kyoto’s traditional culture. Hanging scrolls, ikebana, and a beautifully arranged Room down to every detail. The head chef, attendants, the young proprietress, and the proprietress herself offer warm, attentive hospitality with genuine grace. Thinking that all of this beauty is an expression of love for each guest fills me with freshness and gratitude. At Kikkawa, you can feel the refined spirit of Kyoto—an appreciation for making everyday life beautiful and joyful. It began as an Accommodation I hoped to stay at at least once in my life; before I knew it, this was my 11th visit. A superb culinary Ryokan I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who truly loves Kyoto.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. We chose this property because we wanted a room with a private bath and were also attracted by the lounge, and it exceeded our expectations. The entire property and our room were spotless and beautiful, and we were especially impressed by the wonderful service from all of the staff. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

We also used the lounge at the sister Hotel, and both lounges were great. At the station-front location, the salted squid and plum wine were delicious, and we went back for seconds several times. They also gave us a map showing where the nearest bus stop to the sister Hotel is and a bus timetable, which made it easy to use. There were many restaurants around the station-front location that all looked good, so it was hard to choose. The ramen shop next door always had a line as well, so I’d like to try it next time. The Room was spacious enough for three adults including my elderly mother to relax comfortably. We could only stay one night this time, but if we have another chance, we’d like to stay two nights. Since it was a hot season, it was also nice that there was Häagen-Dazs ice cream in the freezer. It was a bit disappointing that the washroom lighting felt slightly dim, but overall we were satisfied.

From the moment I arrive, I’m always deeply moved by the warm hospitality of being greeted by name. Check-in is extremely smooth, and I always love the guidance to my room and the kind, welcoming service from the bell staff. My requests made in advance were fully accommodated, and everything about the room setup and housekeeping was flawless down to every detail, allowing me to stay comfortable throughout my visit. I’m always grateful to the housekeeping team. The spa reception staff also provided wonderful service, and the concierge team’s quick and polished support was a great help. The limited-time Shine Muscat roll cake I had at the pastry shop “Sweets & Deli” was exceptional and became a delicious memory that stayed with me. I also enjoyed spending time at the lobby lounge and would definitely like to return again. Everything is truly perfect—this is a wonderful hotel that leaves me completely satisfied from the bottom of my heart. I would confidently recommend it to my loved ones, and I will definitely stay here again.

Because our previous stay was so enjoyable, we returned. The Room, service, and hot spring Facility were all very comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were prepared in a way that really highlighted the quality of the ingredients. The sweets in the Room and the herbal tea before bed were soothing for both body and mind. It’s been a long time since I’ve slept so deeply and felt this well-rested. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but my skin even seems to be in better condition. We would love to stay again.

The hotel was easy to reach right after arriving at Maihama Station, and it was extremely convenient for getting to Disneyland. The staff were courteous at both check-in and check-out, making our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was a Japanese and Western buffet, with dishes replenished frequently, which left a great impression. Above all, being able to see Bon Voyage from the room window was amazing—it felt like staying in the Disney world all night long. I was satisfied with everything: the location, the staff service, and the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Maihama.

It was hot in Kyoto, so I really appreciated how close it was to the station! The Room was clean and I was satisfied, and the staff were very kind, making my stay comfortable.

We arrived close to 10:00 PM. As we weren’t familiar with the area and couldn’t find a place to eat, thank you very much for accommodating our meal request. It ended up being dinner, breakfast, and lunch (after check-out), but we were able to enjoy each meal in a relaxed setting. Everything was delicious. The room was spacious, with background music playing, which felt very soothing. We had a comfortable stay. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful time in a very clean room with excellent facilities. The meal was also delicious—a meat-themed kaiseki course that felt refreshingly different from typical ryokan cuisine. The location, in the Higashiyama area, was another highlight, making it easy to explore around Kiyomizu-dera in the morning.

I have stayed here several times, and once again had a wonderful experience. The room, service, and meals were all excellent. This was my first time staying in a room overlooking the Marunouchi Plaza, and I enjoyed breathtaking views that were different from the Dome side. Each stay brings new discoveries, while the core service and hospitality remain consistently outstanding—always relaxing and comforting. It’s a hotel you’ll want to return to again and again once you’ve stayed.

Thanks to the Diamond member benefit, we received a Room upgrade. The moment we stepped inside, the space was so generous that I couldn’t help but say, “Wow.” The interior was consistently styled with a Kyoto-inspired Japanese aesthetic, creating a wonderfully calm atmosphere. The indirect lighting was thoughtfully designed, and the Room felt especially lovely at night. The tableware included beautiful, like-new pieces from Noritake and HARIO. My personal favorite was the bath salts—soaking in the tub while surrounded by natural aromas was truly relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, and having it delivered to our Room made everything feel effortless. Rather than a Hotel stay, it felt like relaxing in a private residence. This time we stayed for one night, but it’s an Accommodation where I’d love to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay at a slower pace. All staff were polite and kind, which made us feel at ease. This was my first stay. I visit Osaka every 2–3 months, and this hotel provided an outstanding experience in every way. Check-in was smooth, and the amenities were the most extensive I’ve ever seen. Since I take baths more than three times a day, the complimentary bath salts, bath towels, and hand towels were especially appreciated. The 24-hour free drink bar and complimentary alcohol meant there was no need to stop by a convenience store. The free popcorn, chocolate snacks, and candies were also a delightful touch. The room had a smart TV, delicious bottled water in the fridge, and even a microwave in each room. The bathroom and toilet are separate, making it very comfortable. There’s also a jet bath and a TV in the bathroom. There were plenty of amenities inside the room as well—ones I didn’t use myself but would be great for women. With complimentary breakfast service, late-night noodles in the evening, and afternoon tea in the afternoon, there were so many wonderful services included. With prices rising everywhere these days, I almost felt sorry paying this rate for such great value. Every staff member showed exceptional hospitality—I was completely satisfied. The location is excellent as well: Namba Station on the subway line(s), JR Namba Station, and Nankai Namba Station are all within about five minutes’ walk. This is a fantastic hotel that I can confidently recommend to others. It’s definitely a hotel I want to stay at again whenever I’m in Osaka. Thank you very much.

It’s rare to enjoy this level of cuisine, hot springs, and service at this price, and the garden is also wonderful. The facilities are impeccably clean. It stands out even among Japan’s luxury ryokan.

Right in front of the station, so you can get there without getting lost. The room was very clean, and the amenities included a choice of bath salts; the fridge had Chill Out and chocolate. Although the room was compact with a unit bath/toilet, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. The front desk staff were also kind and helpful.

I stayed for two days, and I was truly impressed by the staff’s kind and attentive service. I have stayed at many Hotels across Japan, but I was once again struck by the meticulous hospitality at Hotel Okura Kyoto. Throughout my stay, their genuine desire to help guests feel as comfortable as possible came through naturally in many situations. During my stay, I dined at the French restaurant on the 17th floor and also used room service; both the food quality and service were impeccable. More than just its Facilities or location, I feel that the staff’s hospitality itself is one of this Hotel’s greatest attractions. It was a Hotel where I would definitely like to stay again.

I’m always grateful for the wide variety of breakfast options here, and I’ve also noticed that many areas—such as the baths—are barrier-free, which is very reassuring. I’d like to stay here again in the future. In particular, the Onsen doesn’t have rocky, uneven surfaces, so I don’t have to worry about slipping or falling.
