This is my favorite regular inn—my go-to place to reset both mind and body. This time again, the dinner I had been looking forward to was far beyond my expectations. The upgraded local fish sashimi was unbelievably fresh! I was especially happy that it included two rare types of local white fish: “Hoki-hata” and “Hige-dara.” The pleasant springy texture and rich umami of the Hoki-hata, and the refined, deep sweetness of the Hige-dara—I took my time savoring these special flavors that you can only encounter at this inn. The handwritten note listing the fish varieties also conveyed such warm hospitality. The napa cabbage macaroni gratin was outstanding—the homemade-from-scratch white sauce was perfectly balanced. Rich yet light with a gentle finish, it brought out the natural sweetness of the vegetables, and I couldn’t stop eating. The Izu seaweed soup also felt like it gently soaked into every part of my body. I feel fulfilled from within by the delicious food, then healed from without by the free-flowing natural hot spring water and suina massage therapy. Once you experience this luxurious private space, you truly become hooked. I left fully recharged once again—and I’ll be back for another boost!

This time, I stayed for the fourth time to celebrate my birthday. I truly love this inn so much that I once gifted a stay here to my parents as well. The greatest pleasure of visiting is, without a doubt, the cuisine. Each dish is beautiful to look at and absolutely outstanding in flavor, and I’m moved every single time. Even my husband, who usually isn’t very interested in food, ends up saying “It’s delicious—this makes me want another drink,” and drinks a little too much (laugh). No matter how many times we come, it always makes us want to return just to enjoy these meals again. Since it was my birthday, they even arranged a wonderful celebration during dinner. The gorgeous presentation with gold flakes is apparently usually served with alcohol, but since I’m not great with alcohol they kindly prepared it with orange juice instead (first photo). They also gave me a celebratory gift and a commemorative photo—such warm thoughtfulness truly made me happy. And breakfast is exceptional as well. Not only dinner but breakfast is genuinely delicious; every time we are completely satisfied with every dish. Of course, everything beyond the food is wonderful too. The room is spotless and beautiful down to every detail, making it extremely comfortable. The room also has an open-air bath, which we love because we can relax and enjoy the hot spring together at any time without worrying about anyone around us. Meals are served at the same counter as other guests, but partitions are set between seats. Outside of meal times there are few chances to run into other guests, which makes it especially appealing for us to quietly enjoy unhurried time as a couple. All of the staff are always courteous, and thanks to their pleasant hospitality we can spend our entire stay feeling calm and relaxed. The cuisine, the room, and the hospitality—everything is excellent. It never disappoints no matter how many times we visit. Once again this birthday became an unforgettable and happy experience for me. I’m truly looking forward to returning. Thank you always.

This is a perfect Accommodation in every way. Just one thing: it would be even better if there were in-house loungewear that matches the staff’s uniforms. After enjoying the Onsen, please consider offering stylish loungewear that blends naturally into the dining area.

We stayed here for the first time during the autumn Silver Week for a Multiple Night Stay. Thanks to IKYU, we were able to discover this wonderful Hotel. The natural surroundings are beautiful, the architecture and interiors are excellent, the staff’s smiles are warm, and the dishes at the restaurant are beautifully presented—truly the best hidden retreat Hotel unique to Kumihama. Next time, I hope we can make a Reservation for spring Golden Week, so I plan to check IKYU’s site carefully. To everyone at Holiday Home, thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

With my wife’s birthday coming up again this year, we visited Karuizawa, a place filled with memories for the two of us. We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed a relaxing stay—taking walks and cycling around Karuizawa as the autumn leaves began to change, and spending time shopping. We were also very pleased with the thoughtful hospitality from the hotel staff, including a birthday message card, as well as the delicious food, our favorite wine, and the birthday cake. For us as a couple, this is truly a wonderful hotel.

As our daughter reached the age for her Coming-of-Age celebration, we stayed here as a family of four to mark the occasion. From the very beginning, we were impressed by the warm welcome and being served matcha tea and sweets. Although it’s close to Dogo Onsen, the property offers a beautiful, spacious, and tranquil atmosphere—truly a luxurious annex just as described. There are famous paintings and exquisite Lladró ornaments throughout, making every moment feel blissful! The Onsen was wonderful as well! We would love to visit again on another special occasion.

From the moment I arrive, I’m always deeply moved by the warm hospitality of being greeted by name. Check-in is extremely smooth, and I always love the guidance to my room and the kind, welcoming service from the bell staff. My requests made in advance were fully accommodated, and everything about the room setup and housekeeping was flawless down to every detail, allowing me to stay comfortable throughout my visit. I’m always grateful to the housekeeping team. The spa reception staff also provided wonderful service, and the concierge team’s quick and polished support was a great help. The limited-time Shine Muscat roll cake I had at the pastry shop “Sweets & Deli” was exceptional and became a delicious memory that stayed with me. I also enjoyed spending time at the lobby lounge and would definitely like to return again. Everything is truly perfect—this is a wonderful hotel that leaves me completely satisfied from the bottom of my heart. I would confidently recommend it to my loved ones, and I will definitely stay here again.

We booked Kamenoi Bessou to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. They kindly prepared celebratory sekihan (red rice) for us, which made us very happy. We were able to relax and unwind in our room and enjoy the open-air bath at a leisurely pace. The shuttle service to the station was a great help. It is a wonderful inn in every way. The meals and the thoughtful hospitality of the staff were excellent, and we even received a commemorative chopstick rest when we checked out. It’s an inn that makes you want to come back again.

We stayed here for a surprise proposal trip. We considered many accommodations, but in the end we are truly glad we chose Tsuruga. From the pickup at Koriyama Station to how to spend time after arrival, the meals, drinks, and our departure the next day, the manager and all staff supported us warmly with just the right sense of distance. Dinner was outstanding. While enjoying Aizu local cuisine and basashi (horse sashimi), what especially impressed us was that they recommended local sake to match each dish. Since we both love sake, that alone made choosing this inn worthwhile. Above all, for this proposal they kindly helped us with everything—from advance consultations to preparations on the day. Thanks to them it was a success, and it became an unforgettable trip for both of us. We are truly happy that we were able to choose this inn for such an important milestone in our lives. We would love to come back to Tsuruga someday—and also visit your Akasaka restaurant. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

The beautifully designed room was spotless and very relaxing. Soaking in the open-air bath while gazing at the garden was a slow, soul-warming experience. The dishes were beautifully presented, with carefully prepared dashi that brought out the best of each ingredient. For breakfast, we enjoyed freshly cooked white rice made in a clay pot. Above all, the staff’s warm smiles and thoughtful hospitality left a lasting impression. We were welcomed and seen off with genuine care. It was an even more wonderful stay than we had imagined. The room rate is certainly not cheap, but it felt well worth the price and more. We would love to visit again.

This was a wonderful Accommodation where the owners’ sense of style and hospitality were evident in every detail. The clean Room, the handmade garden, and the carefully prepared meals were all warm and comforting, and we felt truly relaxed. Rather than the standardized service of a large Facility, we could really feel how much they love this place and are devoted to nurturing it. My elderly mother also said she would definitely like to come again, so we will surely visit again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as a family to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday and an early birthday party for my younger sister. They prepared a lovely birthday card and a whole cake topped with plenty of fruit, which made both my mother and sister very happy! The house was extremely clean, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable. The private chef was also very friendly and carefully accommodated our requests in advance. We could truly feel the owners’ commitment to putting guests’ comfort first. Thank you so much.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied. The hotel and the room were both very clean and comfortable. The staff were always smiling, which made me feel cheerful. The shuttle service to Kanazawa Station and the hotel’s dedicated lockers near the station were very convenient.

Although it was our first stay, we could truly feel how you have carefully carried on your 50-year history. We were completely satisfied with the Facility, amenities, meals, and hospitality. All of the staff were very courteous and also friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed listening to the Yamaha audio system, and since we didn’t expect to be able to play a grand piano, my wife was especially delighted. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Tachibana Clan Residence. The building, the garden, the meals, and above all the heartfelt hospitality were wonderful, making this a truly memorable trip. We were able to fully appreciate the history of the Tachibana clan and enjoy views of the pine garden from the grand hall where the lord once sat. I’m sure that even people 100 years from now will be moved just as we were. Thank you very much.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. I seem to have booked an accessible room without realizing it, and was shown to a first-floor guest room. The in-room bathroom was an impressive stone design with great attention to detail, and the tub had plenty of continuously flowing water. The stone flooring was also slip-resistant, which felt reassuring. The clear Onsen water was silky-smooth—an excellent bath overall. That said, because the first-floor room is almost level with the embankment, bamboo grass has been planted for privacy and the room felt a bit dark, which was disappointing. With the special blinds set at just the right angle, views from outside are well blocked. Whether it was the mattress or something else, I slept very soundly. The large public baths are on the 3rd floor (women), 2nd floor (men), plus there are additional baths in the basement including a granite bath and an open-air rock bath. It’s fun to enjoy a variety of baths around the Accommodation from morning onward, and my companion was very satisfied as well and seemed refreshed. There are stairs to reach some of the basement baths and the open-air rock bath, so even younger guests should take care. Dinner featured local specialties such as salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, followed by more unpretentious yet delicious dishes—overall a very positive impression. Breakfast was also served seated in private or semi-private rooms, so we could enjoy it calmly. After flood damage, tasteful renovations have been done throughout; starting with the lobby, everything felt comfortable overall. However, since it isn’t newly built, there were slight slopes here and there in places like corridors. Being along the riverbank also means small insects can’t be completely avoided in summer. A Facility where you can feel the atmosphere of a classic Onsen inn. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay in a guest room on either the 2nd or 3rd floor.

Thank you for accommodating our last-minute visit again. We were truly relieved to find a Room available. We love the in-room Onsen and the dinner! The sea bream rice at breakfast was delicious—I finished it all. I was also happy to enjoy breakfast with the garden right in front of me. Thank you very much. We were also very satisfied with how well stocked the Room amenities were. With such attentive hospitality, this is an Accommodation we will definitely want to stay at whenever we come to Matsue.
