We stayed as a family of three and were very satisfied with the sophisticated soba-based creative cuisine and excellent service. The facility is simple, making the price reasonable, and it was impeccably clean. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again and again.

This was my first stay here. At check-in, the owner kindly explained the area using a map, covering dining options, Onsen facilities, and everything from convenience stores to drugstores. The Facility is old, but it is well cleaned, and the bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water was great. The Room had new tatami mats, and the futon bedding was clean and comfortable. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kusatsu Onsen.

I wanted to visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and was looking for an affordable place to stay nearby when I found this Hotel. For the Onsen and breakfast, I used their affiliated property close by, Ivy Hotel Chikushino. I was able to enjoy Futsukaichi Onsen, and the meals were delicious as well. The front desk staff were very helpful, and thanks to their recommendation, I went to the izakaya “Gon (Hiko),” where the grilled yam on an iron plate and the grilled chicken on an iron plate were excellent—I was very satisfied. To get to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, you need to walk 21 minutes to Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station, so if you have difficulty walking, it’s better to use a taxi or bus.

You’ll head in through a surprisingly narrow passageway that makes you wonder, “Are we really going in here!?”—but the location is very convenient, just a short walk from Kanzanji, with an eel restaurant nearby, making the stay very comfortable. The Room was also very clean. However, compared to the Facility’s stated capacity, there were far too few dining chairs—only six. Since we stayed with seven people, it was quite inconvenient. The Goemon-style bath was interesting, but there wasn’t much firewood, and it still felt insufficient for seven people. That said, the Goemon-style bath, the movable hanging tent, and the view were all incredibly fun. We also enjoyed watching the tides come in and out. There is a bedroom on the second floor, but since there’s no sink or similar amenities up there, it wasn’t very convenient to use.

Hirayu Onsen has milky-white, iron-rich waters. After a day of hiking, it warmed us up wonderfully. The open-air bath was especially nice. The meals focused on local specialties, and we were able to enjoy a full range of Gifu delicacies such as Hida beef shabu-shabu, hoba miso, and salmon sashimi. It was supposed to be the standard meal plan, but for us—a couple in our mid-50s—it was more than luxurious enough and very satisfying. As for hospitality, the woman at the front desk, the woman who served our meals, and the man were all friendly and warm. It’s also convenient—about a 5-minute walk to the Hirayu Bus Terminal for buses to Kamikochi. We had a wonderful trip.

The manager was cheerful, and the staff were pleasant and refreshing. Everything was thoroughly cleaned, and the furnishings in the large hall were of very high quality. For some reason, only the scale showed double my actual weight. Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you next time.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan after a long time! Although it was a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan, the cuisine served was Italian, and every dish was absolutely delicious! As it is an exclusive-use accommodation, you can enjoy the bath at your leisure anytime, and the quality of the hot spring water was exceptional. The hostess was charming, and the chef accommodated our needs flexibly, making our stay incredibly pleasant. I will definitely visit again!

I stayed at an Accommodation in Dogo Onsen. It had a calm atmosphere, and I was able to relax and take my time. What I especially appreciated was the private bath. I could enjoy the Onsen without worrying about others, and it helped soothe my travel fatigue. In addition, pleasant music from analog records played in the hallways, and the refined scent of incense drifted through the building, making the entire property a wonderfully peaceful space. This is an Accommodation where you can enjoy not only the Onsen but also the sounds and aromas—showing great attention to detail. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Dogo Onsen. Although most of the staff are from overseas, I was impressed by how polite and hardworking they were. They are also studying Japanese and are very kind. This is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

My family visiting from afar stayed at this accommodation. It is a rare and valuable place offering reasonable prices with one room per person. Although we only opted for breakfast, they were impressed by the delicious freshly cooked rice! While compact, the 24-hour flowing onsen and spacious rooms made their stay very comfortable. The presence of an elevator was also greatly appreciated by my elderly mother, who has difficulty with stairs. Thank you very much for your hospitality this time!

The Japanese-style room was relaxing and pleasant.

I stayed at the accommodation on the day of the fireworks festival. I watched from the rooftop balcony of the hotel on a hill, but unfortunately, the lower half was obscured by trees and plants. However, the meals were excellent. Dinner included a variety of delicious dishes that were almost too many to finish, and breakfast featured a large grilled golden-eye snapper. I would love to stay again to enjoy the meals.

The Room is in an old Ryokan but is well-cleaned. Soundproofing is minimal. The bath was excellent.

The Room and Onsen were flawless! The shower pressure is extremely weak, so it might be tough in midwinter. Since I visit Yufuin often, the location is convenient—no trouble whether you want to go out for meals or buy food to eat. You can even walk to Lake Kinrin as a nice stroll. The refrigerator and microwave are shared, so please keep that in mind when shopping or storing souvenirs. It’s an Accommodation I’d definitely like to stay at again!

I stayed at Accommodation Yumesha. The space was very spacious and comfortable. I was very satisfied, but here are a few suggestions for improvement: 1) The refrigerator was only on the second floor, which made it difficult for those who couldn't go up and down frequently. Having one on the first floor would be helpful. 2) The roads were a bit complicated, making it seem inconvenient to go shopping. A small shop selling snacks or basic items would be appreciated. Although these are luxurious requests, I am still so satisfied that I would like to stay again next year. Thank you very much!

We stayed as a family of four. The open-air bath on the rooftop was a natural hot spring, and it was very pleasant. Since there were fewer reservations, we were able to use the private bath twice. The dinner course used local ingredients and was very delicious, and we were full after ordering additional cheese fondue. The master's explanation of the cuisine and onsen was very detailed, which doubled our enjoyment. There is a footbath in front of the hotel, and it is also close to the famous open-air bath "Sunayu," so we were able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. Also, there are three cute cats inside the nearby Onsen Museum. It's a must-see for cat lovers.

Close to the business destination and the most affordable option in the area, I chose this accommodation for a rare opportunity to stay at Arima Onsen. Although I was slightly concerned due to unclear reviews and parking inquiries beforehand, the customer service was excellent—polite and kind. They also promptly issued a proof of stay upon request, which was very helpful. Guests staying at Hataya can use the onsen at Kamioobo, and their guidance regarding this was very thorough and pleasant. The onsen itself is old but atmospheric, located in an underground-like setting. Since it was late at night when I visited, there were few people (I had it all to myself), making it a relaxing experience. The guest room in the accommodation was clean and well-maintained. Being sensitive to smells, I appreciated that there were no unpleasant odors—just a traditional Japanese scent that added charm. The location is excellent: about a 3-minute walk from the famous Kin-no-Yu bathhouse, with convenience stores nearby as well as restaurants and souvenir shops within close proximity. As for drawbacks: - The smoking area is only available in a narrow space near the entrance, which could inconvenience those entering or exiting. - The walls are quite thin; sounds from neighboring rooms are noticeable, requiring extra consideration not to disturb others. - While there’s a desk and chair provided on wooden flooring near them (which amplifies noise), combined with limited space due to having a refrigerator nearby made working challenging—I ended up using the low table instead. This place may not be ideal for business purposes but poses no issues otherwise for leisure stays. Lastly—and not specific just here—accessing parking by car requires caution as roads in central Arima Onsen are narrow; pre-checking directions thoroughly is essential since some paths can make maneuvering difficult if you get lost. Despite listing several concerns above, my overall experience felt like an escape from daily life—it left me appreciating its charm even more after returning home!

Although old, it was clean, and the service was excellent! There were other guests, but it was very quiet and comfortable accommodation. I was concerned about insects in the room, but considering the abundance of nature, it seemed unavoidable. The bath was just big enough for two people. (We knew in advance that it would be small, so there were no issues!) There was a self-service morning coffee available!
