Although it is an old-fashioned Hotel, it was very clean, and the front desk staff provided clear explanations and excellent service. The meals were also delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I stayed at this Onsen Accommodation for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights. Both breakfast and dinner were served in the same private dining room, and we had the same staff member each time, so we could enjoy our meals in a very relaxed and calm atmosphere. The food was excellent and very satisfying. However, there was no accommodation guidebook in the Room, so I would have appreciated having one.

The Room and meals were both satisfactory. I would like to use it again if I have the chance.

A master’s graduate from Kunitachi College of Music delighted us with two welcome piano pieces and five more before bedtime. The polonaise pasta we requested for breakfast was also delicious.

When I came back to my hometown, I wanted to enjoy an Onsen, so I stayed here after hearing from a local friend that it was their “top recommended Hotel right now.” The entire property is spotless—and stylish. The Room is a bit small, but the minimalist design (with no unnecessary extras) actually made it calming and easy to relax. The Onsen is 100% free-flowing from the source, and it warms you up incredibly well. I also heard it’s great for your skin, and seeing how fair-skinned the staff are made me believe it (lol). Yumoto Onsen is said to be effective for dark spots. I’d heard breakfast was a buffet and honestly didn’t expect much, but it exceeded my expectations in the best way. Everything was carefully prepared with a wide variety of options, and all of it was delicious. When I asked about the yogurt, a staff member explained everything kindly and thoroughly—great service really stood out. In this era of rising prices and inbound tourism, this is a rare Accommodation where both value for money and hospitality feel truly outstanding. Everyone on the staff was so kind—it’s an Accommodation with genuine warmth that makes you want to come back.

Booked a great-value room at the last minute. There is an Onsen, free tea in the lobby, and all the staff were very helpful. They also introduced us to the stone-paved streets of Ochiai, which made our trip very fulfilling. Thank you.

The locally caught fish dishes were very delicious. Since it wasn’t buffet-style, we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. The open-air bath had a milky white sulfur spring, with a great atmosphere, and it warmed us up thoroughly. It’s far even from Aomori, but it’s a hidden gem.

Everyone at the Ryokan, especially the proprietress, welcomed us with such warmth and thoughtful attention that we felt truly happy throughout our stay. The Accommodation itself is old, rich with history and stories, and you can really feel how lovingly it has been cared for over the years. The Onsen water was soft and silky, gently enveloping you and soothing every ache and fatigue. The meals were exceptionally delicious—each dish carefully prepared—and nourishing for both body and soul. We were deeply impressed. Even the plain white rice had a mysterious charm that stayed delicious to the very last bite. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for taking care of us during our visit home to see family. 　 When I made the Reservation, I didn’t know there would be a fireworks festival on our stay date. After realizing it the day before, I called to ask about traffic restrictions. You explained everything very kindly and thoroughly, which allowed us to head there with peace of mind. 　 At check-in, you clearly explained how to use the parking area and the Facility, and also gave us helpful advice related to the fireworks festival. Your service was truly pleasant. In addition, I accidentally left my car key at the counter, but you went out of your way to find it and bring it back to me later—thank you very much. 　 The Room was spacious and well maintained, so we were able to relax comfortably. However, since this is a pension-style Accommodation, soundproofing is somewhat limited. We could hear children from a family staying upstairs running around. As it didn’t quiet down even after the designated time (10:00 PM), I informed a staff member; after a while the footsteps stopped, so I believe you took some kind of action. 　 The location is convenient: there’s a 24-hour supermarket nearby as well as public baths and restaurants, so even with No Meals Included we had no trouble at all. Cooking utensils, tableware, and an IH cooktop are fully provided too, so self-catering is easy. 　 Shirarahama Beach is about a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to go swimming in the sea. We were also able to watch the fireworks up close that day and were very satisfied. 　 This was an Accommodation I’d like to use again when I have another chance. Thank you!

We stayed at this accommodation for our first trip to Yufuin from Tokyo and to celebrate a birthday. At first, we were surprised that the staff were mostly foreigners, but then a Japanese staff member came out and provided very polite service. The room was spacious with a soothing aroma of tea that made us feel relaxed. The private open-air onsen was amazing with great ambiance and water quality, plus there was something like a courtyard which made it feel even more spacious and wonderful! I love onsens so much that I visit private open-air ones twice a month, but this one was truly exceptional compared to others I've experienced. There is also a family bath with beautiful views of Mount Yufu. The creative dinner dishes were delicious and satisfying, but what touched me the most was the thoughtful birthday celebration service they provided—thank you so much! This accommodation exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely love to stay here again!

My first time in Kurokawa Onsen. We stayed at Shinmeikan, famous for its cave bath. We drove there with a rental car, and on the way I was honestly surprised by how narrow the road was—like, “Is it really okay to go this way?” But that’s part of what makes Kurokawa Onsen feel special. Most of the staff are from overseas, but everyone was friendly and their Japanese was truly excellent. Even those who were a bit hesitant communicated their sincerity, and it made me want to cheer them on. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The entire building and our Room struck a great balance—keeping the charm of its age while updating what needed to be updated—so it was very comfortable. As for the baths, we managed to try all five: the famous cave bath, Iwato Bath, Kaze-no-Yu, Kajika-no-Yu, and an indoor bath. Each one had a completely different atmosphere, so we felt fully satisfied without needing to go Onsen-hopping at other Ryokan. The women’s cave bath is quite long, and it’s amazing to think this was actually dug out. I’d always wanted to visit Kurokawa Onsen, and staying at Shinmeikan left me truly satisfied—it became a wonderful memory.

We had a wonderful family trip during the New Year. The meals were incredible, with an abundance of crab and sashimi, followed by tempura and chawanmushi just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more! The final dish of zosui was absolutely perfect. The private baths at night allowed our family to relax together comfortably. The staff provided such warm and welcoming service that it felt like returning home. A special thank you to the driver who kindly took us on an outdoor hot spring tour despite the heavy snow! We will definitely visit again.

Although the building is very old, everything was thoroughly cleaned throughout, and I had a very pleasant stay. All of the staff were so polite it almost made me feel bad. There are also staff members who speak excellent English, so international guests should have no trouble. The meals were generous—perhaps a slightly smaller Plan could be offered as well. The open-air bath, the large public bath, and the in-Room bath (a bit small) all had wonderful water quality. I stayed for two nights from Friday, and quite often it felt like we had the baths to ourselves. For international guests, there seemed to be some confusion about where to take off slippers and how to use the small towel. If you could provide explanations not only in words but also with simple illustrations and written instructions, I think everyone could enjoy bathing more comfortably (for example: dry your body before returning to the changing area—sometimes the floor ends up quite wet). It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing. This is a Ryokan I would like to visit again to support them going forward. On departure they kindly prepared to drive me to the station, but since I still had time before my train I decided to walk instead—and I was surprised when they even apologized for that. Everyone was truly kind. Lastly, the attendant in charge of my Room was friendly and helpful, leaving me with an excellent overall impression. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

This was our second stay at Accommodation Noshi-yu. We stayed in a different room this time, and the smooth check-in process in the room was great. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff's service was also attentive. The meals were delicious, showcasing the accommodation's dedication to quality. As always, the hot spring was perfect. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return again!

The meals and baths are excellent. The rice and soba are delicious. The Room feels clean. The quiet atmosphere is very relaxing. I would like to visit again. From a repeat guest who has stayed many times. The service is also good.

A nostalgic Showa-style Ryokan where you take off your shoes at the entrance! I think just changing the carpet here would dramatically change the overall atmosphere. The bath is a natural hot spring with a high content of metasilicic acid, so your skin becomes smooth and moist even without soap - wonderful! The tsumire unkai nabe for dinner was exquisite, and I was completely absorbed in it. The tamago kake gohan and soba mizu kake for breakfast were also delicious, and I was impressed by the abundant use of local ingredients, including vegetables. Thank you very much.

I booked this Ryokan two days before my trip to Atami. It is located near Kinomiya Station, which is within walking distance from Atami. The location was excellent, especially being just a few minutes' walk to Kinomiya Shrine. The room was a typical Ryokan style, offering an authentic experience. Although the angle of the room was slightly awkward, I could still catch a glimpse of the sea. This Ryokan also has table tennis facilities, which provided some simple yet enjoyable entertainment. The onsen bath was small but gave a nice onsen experience. However, there were no facial cleansers available, which might be inconvenient for women. I added breakfast to my stay and enjoyed bread, bananas, boiled eggs, fruits, and drinks. While simple in variety, having breakfast at the Ryokan added to the travel atmosphere nicely.

The location is great, so the price is reasonable. With No Meals Included, there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and we enjoyed our stay. Most Ryokan in Yamaga are old and have a retro feel, but the staff were kind and helpful—they responded politely when we contacted them about arriving early and answered our questions with lots of useful information. After sightseeing, I came to like Yamaga even more.
