This is an Onsen Accommodation you’ll want to return to again and again, with truly outstanding dedication to cuisine. Every visit leaves me thinking, “I’m so glad I came back.” Above all, I look forward to the meals each time. They are meticulous not only about the ingredients, but also about the dashi and even the grilling. The dashi is made with bonito flakes carefully shaved in-house at this Ryokan and natural true kombu kelp. The aroma and depth of flavor you notice from the very first sip are on a different level from ordinary dishes—you can taste the care that goes into it. The grilled items are also exceptional. They grill over binchotan charcoal sourced directly from a brewery in Wakayama. The eel in particular is superb: crisp, fragrant skin with tender, fluffy flesh. It’s delicious in a way that clearly reflects the chef’s precise technique and timing. I was also delighted to enjoy premium ingredients that are hard to come by in everyday life—Ginjiro uni (sea urchin), Saikyo-style hamo (pike conger), kue (longtooth grouper), Deshiko eel, and Shine Muscat “Hareou” grapes. And it’s not just about the food. The proprietress and all of the staff are genuinely warm and pleasant; their kindness comes through naturally when you interact with them. Their heartfelt hospitality is what makes this Accommodation so comfortable. The Onsen, the cuisine, and the hospitality—everything here makes you want to come back.

Thank you for coming to Tokyo. An Accommodation that genuinely makes you feel that way. Here, I found “Fufu’s true commitment.” As for the dining, I’ll spare the details—but every single dish was so exceptional it stayed with me, to the point that it made me want to return just for the food. And then there’s the Onsen you can enjoy in your Room. Onsen water brought from Atami can be savored right in the heart of Tokyo, with absolutely no compromise. A truly luxurious time. The service was also flawless. The sense of distance, attentiveness, and every gesture—everything felt comfortable. The space, the Onsen, the food, and the people. This was an Accommodation where I could feel “Fufu’s true commitment” in all of it.

Thank you very much for everything. Choosing this place for a long-awaited reunion with our friends as a couple was absolutely the right decision. We booked two Rooms, and although we spent time together except when sleeping, the space was spacious and comfortable. We got so caught up chatting that we used the bath twice a day, morning and night, and our friends were also impressed by how wonderful it was. Thank you to T, whom M recommended. The conversation was enjoyable, and we truly had a great time—you completely won us over. The four of us were able to enjoy delicious food in a spacious private dining Room. We would be happy if we could see M and T again next time.

The welcome service offered plum wine, black vinegar, juice, sweets, and ice cream. We arrived early and were able to relax until dinner even after taking a bath. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and with free-flowing natural hot spring water, we could enjoy the Onsen anytime. The Room was excellent. The food was buffet-style, featuring local vegetables and specialties, along with many delicious dishes made with health in mind. I don’t often get the chance to visit Akita, but this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to. Thank you very much.

Although I was worried about the earthquake’s impact, I decided to visit from Kumamoto Airport. Perhaps because a week had passed since the quake, I hardly noticed any effects and was able to stay with peace of mind. Above all, I was amazed by how delicious the meals were. Dinner featured duck hot pot, miso soup, and rice cooked in a traditional pot; breakfast included nori seaweed, natto, and French toast. Every dish felt heartfelt, and I ended up eating far more than I expected. The Onsen was just as described in advance and helped relieve my fatigue. It was a truly satisfying stay. Lastly, I asked about the period “.” after Seifuso’s name that had caught my attention. Despite all the hardships you have faced—including the earthquake—I was deeply moved to hear that it represents putting a “.” (period) on these hardships and creating a new Seifuso going forward. Thank you very much. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

We stayed for one night in Yayoi in July with our dog as a couple. We’ve stayed at many dog-friendly Accommodations, and this is the best one for us. I especially love sulfur Onsen, and while other dog-friendly Accommodations we’ve stayed at had Onsen, none had sulfur springs. Here, there is also a free-flowing natural hot spring bath in the Room, so we didn’t have to leave our dog waiting to go to a public bath. Even though many places don’t allow dogs in the bathroom area, this Accommodation provided a dog bathtub, shampoo, and towels—I've never stayed anywhere so thoughtful. Our senior large dog kept coming to watch us enjoy the Onsen with curiosity. Just walking through the spilled water from the free-flowing sulfur spring at the washing area turned his rough, cracked paw pads into smooth ones—just like the Reviews said. It’s truly an amazing Onsen. The Imabari bath towel after bathing was fluffy and very comfortable. Since it was a No Meals Included stay, we mainly brought takeout from Nasu restaurants. We also bought Nasu cheese and sausages along with drinks and snacks, and picked up bread and yogurt for breakfast at a nearby shop before heading to the Accommodation. With the best sulfur Onsen, delicious food and drinks from Nasu, a quiet setting, we were able to relax completely. Our dog also seemed very satisfied with the cool highland climate, peaceful greenery-filled surroundings, and private feel without running into other dogs—he looked truly relaxed. All of us were soothed by both nature and the Onsen and went home extremely happy. My husband said he wants to come again in winter too—so we’ll be making another Reservation. My family and I stayed here the day before our Kamikochi sightseeing trip. The young proprietress was very friendly and easy to talk to, and her unpretentious, thoughtful hospitality was truly comfortable. The open-air bath in our Room felt amazing—I could have stayed in it forever. Dinner featuring Hida beef had so many dishes that we wondered if we could finish them all, but everything was delicious and we all ate every last bite. The beef tataki we received as a gift from the Accommodation was also outstanding! They also kindly helped us plan for the next day’s Kamikochi sightseeing, making our stay completely satisfying. We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Kamikochi!

It was my first time at Shirahone Onsen, and it exceeded everything I had heard. A milky-white, wonderfully silky bath with a proper sulfur scent—my skin felt so smooth afterward. As for the Ryokan, the hospitality was astonishing by today’s standards. They greeted us right at our car upon arrival and even carried our luggage. Every staff member was consistently polite, and if they saw us heading to the baths, they would immediately call the elevator for us. Most surprising of all was the food—everything was delicious. It was my first time trying snow trout sashimi, and I couldn’t believe how good it was. The dishes weren’t just tasty; they were also beautifully presented. The Ryokan’s Shifuku Mochi was also amazing—I bought three boxes as souvenirs. My husband usually doesn’t eat Japanese sweets, but he unusually ate four pieces. When we contacted them out of concern that heavy rain might close the roads, they kindly explained everything in detail as well. Overall, I felt the staff’s level of hospitality was exceptional—it’s easy to see why so many guests return. I’d love to come again next year. Thank you very much!

At check-in, the front desk staff kindly and thoroughly explained the in-house Facilities and services, which allowed us to start our stay with complete peace of mind. My wife has a shellfish allergy, and we are truly grateful that the restaurant’s head chef thoughtfully adjusted the menu for us. In particular, dinner on the second night was even more outstanding than the first, and we were deeply moved by the extra care put into each dish. While we were taking photos inside the property, a seasoned and very kind staff member noticed us and spoke to us. They gladly took photos for us, thanks to which we were able to keep wonderful memories of our trip. We are foreigners and can hardly speak Japanese. Even so, throughout our stay we received warm, attentive service that made us forget any language barrier. This stay reminded me once again of what I felt when I first visited a Japanese Ryokan years ago: uniquely Japanese hospitality that truly cherishes travelers and makes them feel as safe and comfortable as if they were at home. It is truly an excellent Ryokan. We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you again for such a wonderful time.

It was a wonderful stay, exactly as we had hoped. The Room was very clean, every dish at both dinner and breakfast was delicious, and the private Onsen was fantastic—we were completely satisfied. Some oil from the stone-grilled Tochigi Wagyu accidentally splashed onto my skirt, but when I asked for advice, they kindly prepared a tray with mild detergent and towels and explained how to care for it properly. It was a huge help—thank you. If I had one small request, it would be nice to have simple snacks such as nuts when enjoying drinks in the lounge (a Ryokan we stayed at in Nagano recently offered this, so that may be why I noticed), but we truly appreciate being able to enjoy complimentary drinks. A highly recommended Ryokan.

Despite making a last-minute Reservation the day before, we received heartfelt hospitality and thoughtful attention, and were able to relax and truly unwind. Not only were the Room and meals wonderful, but the Onsen was exceptional as well, helping us forget our everyday fatigue and feel refreshed in both body and mind. Throughout our stay, we could feel the Ryokan team’s spirit of hospitality in every detail, which made us very happy. Thanks to you, it became a memorable and wonderful trip. Perched on a hill near Kawana Station, this Accommodation has a wonderful sense of charm. Even though it is upscale, the attendants were warm and approachable, making our stay truly comfortable. The Onsen baths are available both indoors and outdoors, and we could enjoy them at the same time; the water quality was excellent. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding—as expected of a renowned Ryokan—and we enjoyed it so much that we even had the late-night snack. The peaceful atmosphere, with occasional birdsong, was so soothing that we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return.

From the moment we arrived, your attentive yet warmly familiar hospitality was perfectly balanced. The entire property was kept impeccably clean and well maintained. The furnishings, interior design, fragrance, and tableware— everything reflected consistently high-quality service throughout. We stayed here on a trip with a family we know, and it was wonderful as always. From the Room balcony, we had a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach, the ocean, and the town—an unbeatable location. The Room was spacious and truly relaxing. The Hotel itself was lovely, and having a nice smoking room was a real plus for smokers. In the evening, we enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar counter, and with live piano music it made for a wonderfully comfortable time. The view from the large public bath was also amazing—you can look down over the sea, and the ocean breeze felt incredibly refreshing. Dinner was an Italian course meal and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great too, with both Japanese and Western options. The Hotel also has a pool and a gym, and it’s close to Shirahama World Safari and golf courses—perfect for families with children as well as golf lovers. It was such a wonderful Hotel that we’ll definitely want to visit again.

We were extremely satisfied with everything—the Facility, the food, the bath, and the hospitality. It was a wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much.

This was my third stay. Compared to before, the hospitality around the front desk had improved even more. Thank you for your thoughtful care. This time, I tried lunch at the 1F restaurant “P72” for the first time, and I was very satisfied with the comfortable atmosphere and service, as well as the beautifully presented and delicious dishes. Breakfast was outstanding as always. I was able to relax and fully enjoy my time in my Room. I look forward to visiting again.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. With construction starting in September, and since we can only travel on weekdays, this was our last stay of the year. The food, the baths, and the Room were wonderful—and above all, the staff’s hospitality was exceptional in every way. What impressed us most this time was how you remembered what we discussed during our previous stay about how to serve chilled sake, and then made it happen exactly as promised. We were able to enjoy it deliciously right to the very last sip. Your prompt response truly surprised us and made us feel that you are always thinking of your guests. This is a special place for us. We are deeply grateful for this encounter, and we sincerely look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
