I have stayed at many so-called top-tier Hotels, but this was the best experience I have ever had. As others have said, the hospitality was truly exceptional—going above and beyond what I could have imagined. Breakfast at Gion Kawakami was also an outstanding experience. I would love to visit again in a different season.

I chose this Accommodation for my boyfriend’s birthday trip. It was my first stay here, and it far exceeded my expectations. Above all, the staff’s service was truly outstanding, and I was moved by every thoughtful gesture. The property has the charming presence of a grand traditional Japanese house, and the garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed a luxurious time dining at a relaxed pace while looking out over the garden. The basashi (horse sashimi) in particular was the best I’ve ever had—absolutely unforgettable. The Room was spacious and spotless, very comfortable, and the view from the window was wonderful. The building also has delightful surprises and playful touches that even first-time guests can enjoy, which kept me excited throughout our stay. They also offer an excellent selection of sake, so I especially recommend this Accommodation to sake lovers. It was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever stayed—completely satisfying in every way. I will definitely return.

From June 28 to 30, just after the typhoon and the end of the rainy season, we were able to arrive in Miyako safely and this was our second stay at Ferris. We were upgraded to a twin-bed Room for our family of three, and it also happened to be my wife’s birthday. The cake and bed decorations were wonderful surprises, making our first trip back to Miyakojima in two years truly memorable. Thank you very much to all the staff. Coming back from snorkeling and slipping straight into the private pool in our Room felt amazing—we could have stayed in forever while looking out at the mangroves. We enjoyed San’s shabu-shabu in our Room, and everything was delicious right down to the soba at the end. Next time, we’d love to try lunch as well! We look forward to staying with you again.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of four nights. Above all, this Accommodation is truly pet-friendly. We visited with both a dog and a cat, and they both seemed relaxed and happy. There were plenty of amenities for dogs and cats, plus facilities such as a dog run. We could stay with peace of mind, and all the staff clearly love animals, which made our time here even more special. The Japanese staff were wonderful as expected, and the international staff were also incredibly polite—so much so that we initially thought they were Japanese—always with warm smiles. It gave us the sense that the training and working environment here must be excellent. The staff deserve more than five stars. Meals are à la carte, so you can choose whatever you like each day in any amount you want. This was especially appreciated during our Multiple Night Stay, and everything was consistently above average in taste. They offer a great balance of both Japanese and Western dishes, so we never got bored. Every day was delicious. Alcohol at night at the bar, as well as drinks in the Room refrigerator, are included, which is very reassuring for those who enjoy drinking. In addition, 30 minutes of spa treatment per day was included; I even received a massage and felt truly healed. The Room was neither too large nor too small—just right for two people—and it was well designed and easy to use. The hot spring water left our skin smooth and glossy; it was excellent. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath are fed directly from the source (free-flowing), and we could adjust both volume and temperature using only the natural spring water. It’s pure luxury. These days many Hotels or Ryokan only allow smoking in designated areas, so being able to smoke on our private terrace attached to the Room is something smokers will really appreciate, especially if you want to have a drink on the terrace while enjoying a cigarette. Because the terrace is surrounded by high walls, our cat could also go for walks there safely. Cats tend to run off easily, so it’s rare to let them stroll freely—this was another great point. Our cat looked completely at ease. It was our first time visiting Kikuchi City. There are many wonderful places nearby including Kikuchi Gorge, and Aso is less than an hour away by car, making sightseeing very convenient. Since there is a university stable near this Accommodation, there may occasionally be a slight animal smell, but that isn’t an issue caused by this Accommodation itself. And since this is an Accommodation that pet lovers choose specifically because they travel with animals, I think it’s simply something not to worry about (it didn’t bother me). This is a fantastic Accommodation where you can truly relax with your pets. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. We were satisfied with everything—the service, the Room, the bath, and the meals. The meals were so delicious that my mother, who usually has no appetite at all, finished everything. We truly hope to visit again. Thank you very much.

At first, the parking area felt a bit scary. There are wheel stops, but if you come in with too much speed, it feels like you could end up in the river. There were three private baths, all a good size. If they were available, we could use them as much as we wanted, and one of the private baths even had a sauna. Amenities are the type you take what you need to your Room, and there was a wide variety. After bathing, they also had ice cream and black soybean tea available. Since it’s all-inclusive, drinks were set out on both the 1st and 2nd floors, which was convenient. On the 2nd floor where the Rooms are, there were two massage chairs that we could use freely. Dinner was a white squid course; it wasn’t live squid so it wasn’t at its sweetest, but there was still sweetness—and for two people it was more than enough quantity (half might have been plenty). We came for nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and we assumed one fish for two people, so we were surprised that each person got one. It was delicious. The Room was very clean, and the whole Ryokan smelled wonderful. Even though winter is crab season—and I expected everything to smell like crab—it felt very refined with a pleasant woody scent instead. There are no windows so don’t expect any views; however, the space with the sofa (with TV), bed, and washbasin area is very comfortable. The downside is that you can’t tell what the weather is like outside. But if you’re looking to enjoy an escape focused on eating and relaxing indoors, that may not be a bad thing. Breakfast was excellent across the board—the rice cooked in an earthenware pot was great, and so was the mirin-dried horse mackerel. On our way out we also tried grinding coffee with a stone mill for ourselves for once again enjoyed truly good coffee after a long time.

We stayed for one night and two days. The interior was beautiful and spotless. The food was delicious, and the staff’s smiles and hospitality were truly wonderful.

We made a Reservation to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was very calm, and it was so quiet and relaxing that we almost forgot we were in Dogo. The Onsen was wonderful, and we were amazed by the generous breakfast. We enjoyed a luxurious meal in the morning and then relaxed again in the Onsen. The hostess and all the staff provided outstanding service. We would love to stay here again.

We visited to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. It was a long drive from Yokohama to Nagano, but this was a wonderful Accommodation that truly made us glad we came. The in-room open-air bath was a little hot and needed some adjustment, but it was clean, spacious, and free of insects. The shampoo and conditioner also left our hair smooth and silky. (Some Ryokan at this level still leave your hair feeling rough.) All the staff who welcomed us were smiling, and during dinner the head chef served the main dish right at our table. Everything was delicious—made with local ingredients and carefully prepared with great attention to detail. On our way out, they even opened the souvenir shop in the main building earlier for us, so I was happy to be able to buy the souvenirs I wanted. My parents were very pleased as well, so we would love to visit again while they are still healthy.

The guest rooms, the Hotel facilities, and the dining—everything is wonderfully artistic. Before dinner, I joined an in-house art tour, which was fantastic; I really enjoyed learning about the Hotel’s history, the renovation process, and behind-the-scenes stories leading up to its opening. Dinner was outstanding—each dish by Chef Katayama was delicate, beautiful, and absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the lounge both before and after dinner, with great drinks and snacks; the beef jerky was exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine and beer as well. Breakfast was a delicious Japanese meal made with ingredients from Gunma. This is a Hotel I would definitely love to visit again if I have the chance.

Since we traveled to Miyazaki despite the bad weather, we decided to take it easy, and this was the perfect relaxing space. Surrounded by soothing greenery, with a spacious lobby, lounge, and Room, I felt my mind truly unwind. We chose the breakfast-only plan; aside from the main dish, everything else was brought to us after ordering. As someone who isn’t fond of buffets, I really appreciated it, and everything was delicious. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for three nights starting August 9. My birthday fell during our stay, and we truly appreciate the wonderful surprise with towel art and a cake—thank you so much! Due to the typhoon up until the day before, we weren’t very lucky with the weather, but we felt fortunate just to be able to make it to the island. Even in the rain, thanks to the various rental items available, our children enjoyed the pool and the indoor planetarium throughout our stay. We weren’t able to use the rice cooker provided, so it would be great if cooked white rice could be sold in portions by number of cups. We were also very grateful for the breakfast food truck. This was our second stay at Ferris Villa, and it was a perfect visit with nothing to complain about—we’d love to return again. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. At check-in, the front desk staff kindly and thoroughly explained the in-house Facilities and services, which allowed us to start our stay with complete peace of mind. My wife has a shellfish allergy, and we are truly grateful that the restaurant’s head chef thoughtfully adjusted the menu for us. In particular, dinner on the second night was even more outstanding than the first, and we were deeply moved by the extra care put into each dish. While we were taking photos inside the property, a seasoned and very kind staff member noticed us and spoke to us. They gladly took photos for us, thanks to which we were able to keep wonderful memories of our trip. We are foreigners and can hardly speak Japanese. Even so, throughout our stay we received warm, attentive service that made us forget any language barrier. This stay reminded me once again of what I felt when I first visited a Japanese Ryokan years ago: uniquely Japanese hospitality that truly cherishes travelers and makes them feel as safe and comfortable as if they were at home. It is truly an excellent Ryokan. We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you again for such a wonderful time.

I stayed here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. My friend asked me to choose the Accommodation, and I booked Takitei without hesitation. We were extremely satisfied! The Room, baths, meals, and attentive service were all wonderful. Since it was a birthday, we also received such warm hospitality, and my friend was truly delighted. My friend especially loved the jibuni served at dinner. Thanks to you, I was able to spend a wonderful time with friends I hadn’t seen in a while. I’m filled with gratitude. I would love to visit again.

On a whim, I made a same-day Reservation and stayed for one night. The Room was spacious, spotless, and wonderful. I also enjoyed the breakfast, including delicious local specialties. The staff were very courteous, and I had a truly comfortable stay. It was my first time in Hakata, and it became a precious memory. I was deeply impressed by the outstanding hospitality. Thank you very much.

I booked Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, where you can enjoy the sea of clouds, to celebrate my wife’s birthday. What surprised me first was that I had requested a birthday message plate at “Il Teatro,” the Italian restaurant we reserved for dinner, and the Hotel coordinated everything so wonderfully that at check-in they presented my wife with a handwritten birthday message card from the staff. Honestly, I was deeply moved by their hospitality. As an IKYU Diamond member, we received a Room upgrade, and they also kindly suggested switching to a suite (for an additional fee). The upgraded garden-view Room was spacious with an excellent view—we were completely satisfied. The sea of clouds was truly magical; it looked different depending on the time, and no matter how many times we watched it, we never got tired of it. Service at “Il Teatro” was also outstanding, and we had a memorable birthday dinner at a window seat overlooking the garden. The food was delicious, and the recommended Chardonnay was exceptional—exactly my kind of white wine. After that, we went to the bar for cocktails and returned to our Room, but we were having such a great time talking that we ended up missing the final grand sea of clouds show. Talking with my wife about making Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo our annual birthday tradition, we promised each other: “Next year, let’s dine in one of the private rooms used for Hanzawa Naoki filming—and this time we’ll definitely watch the grand nighttime sea of clouds from our Room.” It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much! We will be back!

This was my first stay, and I was completely satisfied with everything—the Room, spa treatments, baths, and meals! Since it’s all-inclusive, there were complimentary drink services in various areas, and it was wonderful to enjoy the café while soaking in the footbath. The amenities were well stocked, and perhaps because it was a weekday, the baths were almost private so I could relax at my own pace. There’s also a gym, making it an ideal Hotel stay. I’d love to stay again.

The front desk staff were wonderful! Even though we checked in after midnight, they kindly accommodated us. We stayed here the night before heading to Kusatsu Onsen. This time, our family used the Special Room. As soon as we entered the Room, it was incredibly spacious!!! The bathroom in particular was huge and amazing!! There were plenty of amenities, which was really helpful—and when we opened the refrigerator, there were complimentary drinks!! There were also cup udon noodles on the table for each of us!! The service was excellent and we were very satisfied! For this price, the Room size and service are more than enough. A truly satisfying Hotel!! We would love to stay again.

This visit back to the Accommodation was a firm promise we made with M-chan and N-chan’s family, whom we met here two years ago in August. That day, we played together at the dog run, shared dinner, and spent bar time talking about many things—it was a once-in-a-lifetime encounter during our stay. I still remember how incredibly fun it was. At the time, our M was still an only dog, but meeting M-chan and N-chan—who became friends with us—created an irreplaceable and wonderful bond. We were also truly happy to become friends with their dad and mom as well. At checkout, we made a strong promise: “Let’s all meet again here at this Accommodation someday, healthy and well!” But soon after that, we were shocked to receive the sudden news of M-chan’s passing. Her mom told us that she crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March. We were heartbroken that we could no longer reunite with everyone in good health as we had promised. Still, because this Accommodation was a place M-chan loved so very much, we wanted to honor her here—and so all of us were able to meet again. Together—with their dad and mom; M-chan and N-chan; our MM sisters; and us—we came back to the Accommodation saying “We’re home!” The staff welcomed us warmly with gentle smiles saying “Welcome back,” and M-chan and N-chan—and our MM sisters—were absolutely delighted. For dinner, they seated us next to each other, and it became a joyful dinner time as we talked together while remembering M-chan. At bar time as well, we shared many memories with their dad and mom and talked about what lies ahead; it was a warm, gentle time that passed slowly. We also had breakfast together afterward, then played at the dog run right up until the last minute—sharing truly priceless moments. We believe none of this would have been possible without the kindness and support of all the staff. We are filled with gratitude for watching over our stay until the very end with such warmth. This Accommodation truly brings people together! And it is a one-of-a-kind place—wonderful, beautiful, something you can be proud of—that helps fulfill promises made between beloved dogs!
