This was our first stay as a family trip. The meals, the baths, and the hospitality were all extremely satisfying. Every dish was made with local ingredients, and the seasoning brought out the natural flavors—exactly to our taste. We also enjoyed relaxing in the log-cabin-style restaurant while looking out at the garden. We used only the open-air bath. Even though it was raining, the water temperature was just right and helped us unwind. *Since it’s completely outdoors, those who dislike insects may want to avoid it in summer—they do fly around. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

The meals are such high quality you’d never guess they’re buffet-style. The menu changes with the seasons, so it never gets boring, and everything is consistently delicious every time we visit! The Rooms may seem similar at first, but the layouts and interiors vary, which makes it fun and interesting. The Surprise Plan is the best—guaranteed to become an unforgettable memory! It’s wonderful to receive, and just as fun to plan for someone else. A space where everyone is sure to feel happy! We’re truly grateful to all the staff who create this extraordinary and wonderful atmosphere.

We arrived in Hikone before check-in time, but we were happy that you came to pick us up at Hikone Station. In front of the large public bath, you had placed nicely chilled tea, which was a great help since I was traveling with my grandchild who drinks tea often. This is a calm, comfortable Accommodation where you can feel the spirit of hospitality everywhere. You prepared private dining rooms for both dinner and breakfast, so we could relax and enjoy the delicious meals with peace of mind even with our preschool-aged grandchild. When my grandchild became sleepy during our stay, you even carried the futon for us—thank you very much for your kindness. As this is a cuisine-focused Ryokan, it met our expectations perfectly, and we were truly impressed by the head chef’s wonderful dishes. Thank you very much.

It was a pity that the entrance gate was still under construction, with cones and blue tarps scattered around (I understand that unexpected earthquakes and heavy rain can take up manpower). This time, the meals were upgraded and were a delight to both the eyes and the palate. For breakfast, I would have been even happier if there had been a choice of bread. I will visit again—thank you very much.

The Japanese dinner was very delicious. Breakfast was just right. If I had to be picky, it would have been even better if rice porridge had been an option for breakfast. That said, the staff were professional and made our stay very comfortable. The Room was clean and tidy, and having a massage chair was a nice touch. The bathroom in the Room also had a drying function, which was very helpful. There were also a large public bath, a sauna, and private family baths. The large public bath is available even late at night, which worked well for us—we could bathe after sobering up around midnight. We would like to stay again.

This trip was mainly to visit Ise Grand Shrine, Toba, and Futamiura. I was especially looking forward to visiting Futami Okitama Shrine and seeing the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), so I searched for the Accommodation closest to the shrine and chose “Oishiya.” From the very beginning, I was impressed by the exceptionally courteous and pleasant service. From arriving by taxi through check-in, being shown to my Room, dining, and even the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out, everything was handled in such a welcoming way that it made for a truly wonderful trip. To the proprietress, manager, attendants, Shuttle Service driver, and everyone at Oishiya, thank you very much. Dinner was a charcoal-grilled seafood kaiseki course. Starting with appetizers and sashimi, the main dishes featured an abundant selection including abalone, squid, turban shell, other shellfish, and vegetables. Being able to enjoy abalone both grilled and as sashimi made it an especially luxurious meal. The meal was so plentiful that I’m sorry I ended up leaving one dish unfinished. I also appreciate the attendant’s thoughtful consideration regarding dessert. The view of Futami’s sea from the panoramic bath was exceptional—I enjoyed it many times: before dinner, after dinner, and early in the morning. The location of this Accommodation is also perfect for accessing Futami Okitama Shrine. After check-in, after dinner, at sunrise time, and after check-out, I was able to visit a total of four times—it meant so much to me. Every view was wonderful, but the scenery at sunrise was truly unforgettable. Staying at “Oishiya” made this an outstanding trip. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay again. The private family bath was spacious and even had a waterfall feature, with the water at just the right temperature, so we could soak and relax. The atmosphere of the large public bath was also wonderful. The meals featured local ingredients, the portions were just right, and we were very satisfied! If you have mobility issues, going up and down to the first floor may be difficult, but it was a quiet place to spend time. We’d love to visit again after a hike in the mountains.

The meals were delicious, and having a private family bath allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay. I was happy that yukata-style loungewear was provided. I did feel the waistband elastic could have been a bit tighter, but it was still comfortable to wear. We could sense thoughtful attention in many little details, which made us feel warmly welcomed. I stayed here for one night during a 3-night, 4-day trip. The buffet was tastier than at the other Accommodations I stayed at, and the portion size was just right. For guests arriving by motorcycle, posting on social media came with a complimentary drink service. The Facility feels a bit dated, but I recommend it for touring.

This is a perfect Accommodation no matter when you visit. It was Kyoto in extreme heat, but thanks to your thoughtful care in many ways, we had a wonderful time. The pike conger is a must in this season; it is an additional-order dish, but highly recommended. We are planning to visit again in autumn.

The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

The relaxing Facility, the charming Room, the wonderful cuisine, and the silky Onsen I could stay in forever—everything was exceptional. The staff’s warm smiles and attentive hospitality made it even better. This is the first Accommodation where I truly didn’t want to leave because it felt so comfortable. I would love to visit again. We stayed with our child, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. They prepared futons for our child’s nap, and even provided a baby bouncer and a diaper trash bin, which made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The meals were excellent, and we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. We also loved that the soft drinks, beer, and other beverages stocked in the refrigerator were complimentary. Drinks were available after bathing as well, and we felt that every small service was well taken care of. All staff members were polite and attentive, making our stay pleasant from start to finish. This is a wonderful Ryokan where families with children can stay with peace of mind.

My parents and I had a very comfortable stay. They said they would like to come again, which made me happy as the one who gave them this trip as a gift. All the staff were very courteous and attentive to every detail. We relaxed with coffee in our Room, warmed up to the core in the free-flowing Onsen, and slept soundly. Every dish was delicious. The acqua pazza, in particular, was the best I have ever had.

Everything was always clean, and I had a very comfortable stay! All of the staff provided wonderful hospitality. This time, I chose the “Tajima Beef Colorful Kaiseki” course! They carefully explained each dish, which made it even more enjoyable. I was able to fully enjoy Kinosaki at night.

A foot-wiping towel was provided at the entrance, and we had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night stay—thank you to all the staff for their hospitality. They kindly accommodated our personal requests, and the team’s service—like that of a luxury Hotel concierge—made us feel we’d love to come back again next year. If I had to mention just one suggestion, there is a microwave on the lobby counter, and I would have liked to see a free drink dispenser placed nearby. The service and value for money are outstanding, so even if the room rate were higher, it wouldn’t be an issue at all.

I took a bus from Tokyo Station, got off at Highway Oasis Furari, and walked a little over 20 minutes. The road is somewhat difficult to walk on, but it’s not a busy street. Bath: Private-use only, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath as a set. It was clean, a comfortable size, and the water temperature wasn’t too hot—really nice. Room: Traditional Japanese-style. The futon was already laid out, so I relaxed and lounged around. There’s also a toilet and washbasin. I visited on a very humid day, so there was that distinctive tatami-room scent—nostalgic. And since there were shoji screens, I naturally woke up with the morning light. Meals: Absolutely amazing—just as rumored. Everything tasted great. It was my first time trying squid-leg croquettes, and they were delicious. Breakfast had lots of options too, and I ended up getting seconds of rice without thinking. The after-meal coffee was also excellent. The sea is close by as well; I went before breakfast and started the day feeling refreshed. Overall, this Accommodation is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy lots of fish dishes. Everyone greeted me with smiles, so I could relax comfortably and freely throughout my stay. The high ratings were well deserved—I’d love to come again.

The service was outstanding. It was the best hospitality I have ever experienced at any Accommodation. The sashimi of Seki horse mackerel, Bungo beef, and local chicken were all delicious. I was able to relax in the open-air bath while gazing at the beautiful starry sky. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 4-night Multiple Night Stay. This time, we stayed in the “Oryu” Room. First of all, every staff member was incredibly kind and clearly loves animals. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was gentle and attentive, brought anything we needed right away, and did their best to accommodate our requests. I’m truly grateful—your staff deserves more than five stars. Next, the meals. We were told they were prepared in a special-suite style, and both the taste and quality were excellent—high standard, delicious, and thoughtfully varied. Even over several days, we never got tired of them and enjoyed every meal. With longer stays, menus can sometimes become difficult for the kitchen side as well, but you handled everything so carefully. Since I’m also a small eater, you kindly let me choose from the menu and adjusted portion sizes accordingly. This also deserves more than five stars. As mentioned earlier, your care for animals was also very thoughtful and helpful. I visited with both a dog and a cat, and it seemed comfortable for both of them. The hot spring water quality was also wonderful. As for the guest room layout: there is a long corridor between the Room area and the bath area, which felt slightly inconvenient, so I deducted one star there. On the other hand, having an additional Room separate from the main living space made it easy to stay comfortably even when traveling with friends—an excellent design. Regarding amenities: there are no pet amenities provided (so bringing your own is necessary), but having at least a litter box available would be very helpful. The surroundings were also fantastic—like a hidden mountain hamlet. By chance we were able to see “Children’s Kagura,” which has deep history and is clearly cherished by the community. The performers practice extensively (twice a week), and while they are indeed children (apparently ranging from 3rd grade elementary school to 3rd year high school), their performance was outstanding and truly impressive. If your dates happen to coincide with it during your stay nearby, it’s absolutely worth seeing. (It seems Kagura is held several times a year; I’d love to see other performances as well.) I also felt that preserving traditional Japanese festivals like this is part of what makes this area so special—and I think it may become even more well-known in the future. It’s about 30 minutes by car to Yufuin Station, so even on an extended stay you can easily go shopping for necessities. Sightseeing around Yufuin should be convenient as well—and Beppu is also about 30 minutes away via expressway—so overall it feels like an excellent location for travelers who want to explore.

It was my first time visiting Rebun Island. I arrived before check-in, but the staff stored my luggage at the port and even carried it to my Room. The view from the Room was amazing, and I was deeply moved by the beauty of Mt. Rishiri (Rishiri Fuji). The next day, I was able to rent a car, and they also kept my luggage until departure the following day. The meals were fresh and delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful. I also joined an early-morning guest tour and learned more about Rebun Island. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality—it made my stay truly comfortable.
