The hostess was incredibly kind. We chose a meal-included Plan. Dinner was a delicious set course, and breakfast came with many small side dishes and was more than filling. We were very satisfied with the private bath, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis if it is not in use at the time. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We also arranged birthday surprise decorations and a cake for an additional fee! The ocean was nearby, the view was beautiful, and the Facility was spotless—everything was perfect! Thank you for making it an amazing trip and surprise.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. This was our first stay, and the bathroom, toilet, and kitchen were all new, easy to use, and very comfortable. Dinner while watching the sunset was the best.

We stayed as a family of four, including a couple and two children. The staff were very courteous and made our stay extremely enjoyable. We appreciated them preparing fishing bait for us and cooking the fish we caught. Each dish was incredibly delicious, though dinner portions seemed slightly small for the men in our group. Next time, we would love to stay for two nights during the pool season.

My stay at “Fuji Seiran” in Toda Onsen was truly special and left a lasting impression. What struck me first was the location. From the guest rooms and many areas throughout the property, you can enjoy luxurious views of Mt. Fuji, a UNESCO World Heritage site, creating a wonderful sense of being one with nature. On the day I visited, the sky had cleared after a typhoon, and the air was astonishingly crisp—Mt. Fuji’s silhouette stood out sharply in the distance. At sunset, the beauty of the sky was simply beyond words. The room featured a refined modern Japanese design that balanced calm comfort with an upscale feel. Sitting by the window and taking in the scenery at leisure was a truly indulgent moment that made me forget everyday noise and stress. The Onsen was also excellent—gentle on the skin, and afterward I could feel warmth reaching deep into my body. Dinner left an especially strong impression. Using abundant local ingredients from Izu, each dish showcased what makes this area unique: fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables prepared with great care one by one. Everything was beautifully presented, delighting not only my palate but also my eyes. The cuisine brought out the best of local ingredients and made my trip even more satisfying. The staff were exceptionally courteous, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout my stay. In particular, Ms./Mr. S not only explained details about the Accommodation but also shared knowledge about local highlights and ingredients—and our conversations were genuinely enjoyable as well. Thank you very much. From check-in to check-out, I felt comfortable at every moment thanks to this high level of hospitality. With nature, views, cuisine, and relaxation all coming together perfectly, Fuji Seiran is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an extraordinary getaway. It was a memorable stay that made me sincerely want to return again someday.

The owner was friendly, and I had a very pleasant stay! The room was well-cleaned, and the rock bath was very relaxing. I would love to visit again for sightseeing next time!

From the Room’s large window, I could see small boats stored away. It was quiet and completely silent. The meals were enhanced by the aroma of olive oil, bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients. I would like to return.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the New Year with exceptional cuisine crafted by the chef, excellent management, and warm hospitality from the staff. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy two days of creative dishes made with carefully selected ingredients from Munakata. The pumpkin potage was truly remarkable. We look forward to visiting again to experience another unforgettable moment.

I stayed here recently, and it was a truly wonderful Ryokan! Above all, the meals were incredibly lavish, and every dish was delicious. I especially loved the miso soup with spiny lobster. I got to fully enjoy the seafood and was completely satisfied! The proprietress was also very friendly and shared lots of stories with us. Rather than feeling like we were staying at a Ryokan, it felt like visiting a warm family home—such a welcoming, homey atmosphere left a strong impression. When I went out for an evening walk, she turned out to be very knowledgeable about constellations and taught me all sorts of things about them—another lovely memory. The Room was very spacious, and since it had just been renovated, it was clean and comfortable. The ocean view from the in-room bath and the balcony was absolutely stunning—I could have stared at it forever. It felt almost “a shame to sleep,” because I enjoyed such a luxurious time. It’s also close to the beach, so after swimming you can head straight to the Ryokan bath—another great plus. Everything flowed smoothly up to dinner time as well, so even after playing in the sea we could relax at our own pace. The Ryokan bath also featured beautiful carvings that showed real attention to detail, making it wonderfully soothing. I’d recommend this Ryokan for both family trips and getaways with your partner. If you want delicious food, a beautiful sea view, and warm hospitality, you should definitely stay here!

I mistakenly reserved a plan without dinner, but when I explained the situation, they kindly prepared rice for dinner on the spot. They also recommended a supermarket for shopping, which was very helpful. I truly appreciate their kindness and will definitely visit again next year.

On the way back from a trip to Mikuni, Sakai City last year, I found a brochure for Hokkokukaido “Imaijuku” at a roadside station and had wanted to visit this post town at least once. I love old streetscapes and traditional houses, so I chose this place for this year. Within about 1 km there are sites such as the former Honjin and Waki-honjin that hint at how prosperous it once was, but sadly very little remains and only traces of the past can be seen. The 90-year-old renovated private rental traditional house was decorated with various Fukui traditional crafts, and both the amenities and Facility were well equipped. I was able to relax comfortably. However, there are steps/level differences inside, so you need to be careful. For dinner we went to the seafood restaurant “Uoza.” The Kaga crab shell platter with plenty of crab miso was especially delicious. There were quite a few cold dishes; I thought it would have been nicer if they had served something warm like clear soup with the sushi roll, or hot tea after the coffee jelly dessert, so we wouldn’t have gotten chilled. The female staff member was very pleasant. The coffee roastery next to the Accommodation happened to be closed due to an event, but after dinner in the evening we ran into them by chance and were able to buy two kinds of beans—rich-flavored beans with a solid body. For breakfast, rice (to cook) along with freeze-dried miso soup and sweet pickled ume paste were provided, so we tried cooking rice in an earthenware pot. The owner’s wife was very thoughtful and helped us in many ways. Thanks to her, it became a fulfilling and memorable trip filled with history and culture—from Imajo-juku to the railway town—as well as great flavors. Thank you very much.

The ocean view that greeted us the moment we entered the Room, the stylish background music, and every flower and decorative touch were wonderful. Unfortunately, we had strong winds and rain, but spending a relaxing, luxurious time in such a lovely Room was the best. Also, having the chef cook right in front of us became an unforgettable memory for our children as well, even though they were a little nervous. We would love to come back to enjoy the different views in summer, autumn, and winter from this beautiful Room. All of the staff were very kind. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

I stayed at “Hiire IZU,” which I’d been curious about for a long time. The lava irori hearth at the center of the room was simply outstanding. It’s a gas-fired irori co-developed with a kitchen equipment manufacturer, so you can enjoy not only grilling meat and fish, but also hot pot and even ajillo—truly a special time to savor the experience of gathering around the fire itself. Cooking and enjoying Izu’s bounty over the flame ourselves—such as splendid alfonsino landed at Ito Port, seasonal fish, and Yamakiichi dried fish—was unforgettable. The dishes were elevated even further by beautiful local craftsmanship: tableware by Shichiro Fujii of Azanayama Kiln, Gendo yosegi woodwork, and IZUIRO wooden trays. We also stopped by the nearby general store “Kosanchi,” and were moved throughout our stay by how deeply this Accommodation embodies a spirit of making things with care.

We stayed in a detached Room and were able to relax while enjoying the beautiful garden. The bath in the Room was also very pleasant, as we could open the window and enjoy the fresh air. All of the staff were very professional, and the welcoming, home-like atmosphere made our stay very comfortable.

I stayed on a one-night, two-day Plan with breakfast included. The property may not be new, but it was very clean and well maintained. The Room was spacious, and the large windows made it feel open and airy, which I really liked. Of course, the Onsen was also very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, and I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

The bath with smooth Onsen water was excellent. The food was also very delicious.

My friend and I stayed for one night. Our check-in ended up being quite late at 8:30 PM, but the staff were very courteous and helpful. The retro furnishings felt wonderfully nostalgic. They also lent us a basket bag and geta sandals—perfect for visiting the public baths in yukata. It was my first time in Kinosaki Onsen, and I’d love to visit again with my friend. My first trip to Kozushima and my first stay at a minshuku. (Solo traveler) First of all, I highly recommend staying at Kikuno-ya! A parade of kindness and hospitality! I confidently recommend this place to anyone reading this review! Not only did they provide shuttle service to the port, but they also drove me to the trailhead for hiking (and even explained part of the return route along the way) and took me around various spots for stargazing photography. Time flew by because it was so much fun! The room was spacious and lovely, but before I knew it, it was already 10 PM! The shared bathroom and toilet were very clean. With features like a veranda and a tiled bath, it felt like staying in Mei's house from Totoro—a dream come true! Dinner is luxurious, so make sure you come with an empty stomach! This review has gotten long because there’s so much I want to recommend, but in short: highly recommended! I’ll definitely visit again!
