We stayed here for a family trip for the first time in a while. It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as friends had recommended if we were staying in Dogo. As many Reviews mention, the location is truly excellent. It’s close to Dogo Onsen Honkan, and it was an easy walk—enjoying shopping along the arcade—to Dogo Onsen Station and the Karakuri Clock. We had informed them in advance that we would use the parking lot, and upon arrival they kindly guided us there, which made it very easy to understand. Our Room was on the 7th floor with a great view over Dogo town; our son relaxed while looking out at the scenery the whole time. Thank you for arranging such a nice view. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and everything was delicious. A staff member in training quickly noticed and cleared empty plates, so even with four of us we could keep plenty of space on the table. We were especially happy to be able to try tai-meshi. The bath—praised by my family as well (“I’m glad you chose an Accommodation with an open-air bath!”)—was a comfortable size. The open-air bath felt wonderful with the night breeze; we could look up at the sky and unwind, which really eased our daily fatigue. In the morning there were fewer people as well, so we could soak slowly. The relaxation area prepared outside the bath (the water was delicious) also had chairs by the window with a panoramic view. It was great being able to enjoy both nighttime and morning views of Dogo. Before our stay I emailed some questions; they replied quickly and explained everything carefully, which helped us feel at ease. If I had one small suggestion, it would be that an exhaust fan in the toilet inside the guest Room would have been nice. Overall, everyone on staff was very pleasant and we were very satisfied. Our trip to Dogo Onsen became a wonderful memory thanks to choosing Chaharu. Thank you very much.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay. When I asked to leave my luggage before check-in, you kindly accommodated my request, which allowed me to go about my plans with peace of mind. The moment I stepped into the Hotel, I was enveloped in a refined yet glamorous fragrance that instantly made the experience feel special. All of the staff were impeccably presented, with polished manners and elegant language. Every interaction felt delightful and memorable. The Club Lounge presentations were all excellent. In particular, the Pasha coffee served at afternoon tea and the specially paired sweets were exceptional—I truly enjoyed a luxurious and uplifting time. I also stopped by the bar before bed, where the bartender created one original cocktail after another tailored to my preferences. It felt like being in a dream. In my room, I initially found the shower controls a bit difficult to use, but when I contacted you, a staff member came right away and explained everything clearly, which was very helpful. Above all, the bed was more comfortable than anything I have ever experienced, and I slept wonderfully. Thanks to you, it became an unforgettable trip. I would love to stay again. I chose to stay here based on past Reviews. This Hotel offers a relaxing, soothing atmosphere with a clean interior, spacious layout, and a quiet, serene setting. Dinner was more than ample and made with fresh ingredients—especially the bonito sashimi and seared bonito, which were outstanding. The Room was clean and generously sized, and I was able to unwind comfortably for the night. A very satisfying Hotel overall.

I made a last-minute Reservation for an 8-tatami Room, but when I arrived, it had been upgraded to a 12-tatami Room. The Room was spacious, dinner was excellent, and I even had seconds of rice twice. Breakfast was also delicious, and my daughter—who usually doesn’t eat much—said she was full and satisfied. The bath was great as well; the scenic-view bath in particular had wonderful views of the mountains. I’ll definitely stay again.

I stayed here on my motorcycle, and it rained that day, so I wasn’t sure where to park it. They kindly let me store it in the warehouse, which was a huge help. Thank you. It would have been perfect if the Facility had a coin laundry! If I’m in the area again, I’d love to stay here again.

Everything exceeded our expectations in every way, and we had a very comfortable stay. If I had to mention one thing, it would be even better if there were a Shuttle Service from the nearest station.

The Room did not have a private bath, but it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets had a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted great. There were chairs in the smoking area as well, so I was able to relax comfortably. It was a Hotel I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

The Hotel offers a great range of services to fully enjoy your time on-site, including complimentary drinks in the lobby, a manga library, one hour of free karaoke, and massage chairs. The all-you-can-drink alcohol option at dinner, including local sake, was also very good. As for the food, many dishes felt like typical buffet fare, and the sashimi selection was limited to tuna, squid, and salmon, so it did not feel upscale at all. The crab also felt like standard buffet crab. The heshiko ochazuke at breakfast was extremely delicious. My child was delighted to experience karaoke for the first time. What we especially appreciated was that both the washing machines and dryers could be used free of charge. They were lined up in the laundry room, and we could use any available one. We usually end up taking home heavy, smelly clothes after swimming in the sea; although we didn’t use the dryer this time, being able to wash and spin-dry everything made things much easier after returning home. Ryusho Museum is right next door to the Hotel—we could even see its beautiful building from the lobby windows—and we enjoyed an evening walk there as well. Everyone at the Hotel was very kind. Thanks to all these services, we had a wonderful time and it became a truly memorable stay. Thank you very much.

The Onsen water had a pleasantly silky feel. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and the futon was fluffy and comfortable.

I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to relax in a bath with an ocean view, and it offers ocean-view rooms with private open-air baths. I later realized it was featured in the Michelin Guide (Tokai edition). There are many baths throughout the Accommodation—on the rooftop, on the 5th floor, two on the 3rd floor, and one on the 2nd floor—but unfortunately the 2nd-floor bath was closed on the day of my stay. The in-room open-air bath had plenty of hot water and a great view, and I enjoyed it very much. The 5th-floor bath is a reservable private bath in 25-minute slots, so it felt a bit rushed. On the 3rd floor, if it’s available you can lock it and use it privately; I used only one of them, and its semi-open-air style was best suited for washing up. I used the rooftop open-air bath after dinner—the gradient of colors in the sky was stunning, and I could even see an evening star, making for a truly beautiful experience; however... because there is nothing to block the wind on the rooftop, I felt very cold even during the short walk to the tub. You may want to choose your season if you want to fully enjoy it. The staff were cheerful and kind. I booked a Plan with breakfast and dinner; both meals were delicious and felt like just the right amount. Perhaps because everything paired well with alcohol, I got thirsty at night and drank water several times (I appreciated that cold water was provided in a pot in my room). The bedding was high quality and I slept well. Overall satisfaction was high—an Accommodation that made me want to return. One disappointing point—also mentioned by others—was that there were many marks on the tatami mats that looked like they came from dragging tables or other furniture around. Also as others have noted, there were some areas where cleaning seemed insufficient: higher spots and exterior sides of window frames looked like they hadn’t been wiped for quite some time. What bothered me most this time was that weeding around the open-air bath area hadn’t been done at all. It seems like it could be finished within an hour—or handled with weed killer—but since there don’t seem to be many young people locally and older staff appear to be running things mainly themselves, this may be easier said than done. Photos from when Game 16 of Ryuo Title Match (Season 16) was held here are displayed inside; you can see younger versions of Morishita Koji? Wait: Actually "森内、羽生" are Yoshiharu Morinouchi? It's "Morinouchi" vs "Habu". Alongside them is also a young Sugimoto Masayuki (8-dan), famous as mentor to Fujii Sota (six titles). Shogi fans—and especially Fujii fans—should definitely take a look.

Everything was delicious, including the sashimi at dinner and the simmered fish head. The portions were generous, and I couldn’t finish the kashiwa rice onigiri, so I took it back to my Room and enjoyed it later. The Room was clean, and I was able to relax in the bath as well. After check-out, we walked around to see the summer satoyama scenery, the Great Buddha Hall, and stone Buddhas, which was very soothing. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. Since champagne was available at the breakfast buffet, I was able to enjoy a relaxed morning and had the best holiday. Thank you very much. I’m giving the bath 4 stars because there’s no view, but I understand that, given the location, it can’t be helped—without frosted glass on the windows, it would be completely visible from outside. The entire property and guest room were thoroughly cleaned and very comfortable.

As I was pregnant, we stayed here for what would be our last trip as a family of three. The staff were very polite and attentive. They explained the Room thoroughly, and since it came with an open-air bath, we were able to relax and enjoy bathing privately as a family. The meals were delicious, and at check-out they even took a photo of us at the entrance, leaving us with wonderful memories.

Even though the building is 300 years old, it has been carefully maintained down to every detail, and we had a very comfortable stay. Above all, the staff were truly wonderful. We would love to visit Kurashiki again, and Yoshii Ryokan will be our only choice. Thank you very much!

We stayed as a family of four from 2026/08/10. We arrived early because we wanted to enjoy shopping and other activities, but my wife suddenly felt unwell and could barely move. When we immediately consulted the Hotel, they did everything they could to help us. Thanks to their support, she recovered and we were able to have breakfast together the next morning. I am truly grateful to the Hotel and all the staff. Thank you very much. We will plan another stay! See you!

I stayed here for fishing both last year and this year. The lakeside view from the window was wonderful, and I was able to relax and get plenty of rest. I’d like to stay again next year.

I may have the opportunity to stay again in the future, and I look forward to it.

We had planned to visit during the Obon holidays in 2026 with my daughter and her husband, but my daughter wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t come. Still, I was able to travel with my grandchild. The all-inclusive plan was excellent, the Room was clean and spacious, and both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. Last year we stayed at Mercure Nagahama, so this is our second year in a row staying with Mercure.

We previously had an amazing time watching the Atami fireworks up close, so we came back with our dog. With its consistently great location, we were able to fully enjoy the fireworks festival again. Our family loves this place so much that we’d happily stay here again and again, but we would appreciate it even more if you could consider the following: For a Multiple Night Stay with takeout meals, there are clearly not enough dishes and utensils. It would be very helpful to have dish soap and a sponge, paper towels, and large trash bags. We also used the instant ramen vending machine on the 2nd floor, which our child loved. However, there are only a few topping options available compared to the number of ramen servings in stock. We would be happy if you could consider restocking more frequently or increasing the amount provided. That said, I think we’ll be back again. Next time, we’d love to enjoy the autumn/winter fireworks as well. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed at various places in Nagasaki City, and while this building is certainly old, I was satisfied with everything—the cleaning service and the breakfast. The price is reasonable as well. No matter how beautiful or luxurious a building may be, in the end it’s the people that matter. Thank you for your heartfelt hospitality. I’ll probably stay here every time I come to Nagasaki.
