We stayed in the Rainbow Room on a four-generation family trip. We were very satisfied with both the Room and the bath. Our 84-year-old mother and our 2-year-old grandchild were both delighted. For dinner, we wondered if just rice and sukiyaki would be enough, but the Oita beef was so delicious that we all gathered around the hot pot and enjoyed it together. It might be nice to bring a few extra items with you. It would also be great if refills of rice were available. Breakfast was delicious as well. The Accommodation staff made a very good impression, too. We’d love to come again with everyone.

The Onsen was great, and the meals were excellent as well. However, the Room walls seemed thin, and we could constantly hear an elderly couple in the next room from evening until after midnight and again from early morning.

Everything was excellent, including the surrounding environment. The staff and the proprietress were all impeccable in their hospitality. Thank you very much. We will visit again in November to see the autumn leaves.

I arrived an hour before check-in and called on the off chance I could at least use the parking lot, but they kindly allowed me to check in early, which was a huge help. Also, for a birthday surprise, my planning wasn’t great and I ended up calling several times, but every time they responded pleasantly and explained everything carefully from start to finish. Thanks to them, it turned into the best surprise, and I’m truly grateful. Even though the price was reasonable, the meals were generous and very delicious. I don’t usually write Reviews, but the staff were so wonderful that I’m genuinely glad we chose this Ryokan. If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much!

Nestled in the cool mountain embrace of Oku-Yugawara even in the height of summer, I enjoyed a wonderfully comfortable stay with superb Onsen and pleasant air conditioning in the Room. As always, I was able to spend time exactly as I pleased—soaking in the Onsen whenever I felt like it, reading a book, or simply lying down and relaxing. The creative kaiseki dinner that left my body feeling refreshed and my favorite Kamata breakfast were both outstanding—thank you to the head chef. The Room and all areas of the property were impeccably clean, and the staff’s thoughtful care and perfect sense of distance were truly soothing. I’ll be back!!

Food Customer service Excellent responsiveness Everything was good. I’d like to stay again.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of Toguchi Beach. On the first floor of the Hotel, there is a convenient supermarket that locals also stop by, making it easy to pick up snacks and souvenirs. The Hotel restaurant serves freshly caught fish from the morning, and everything we tried was delicious. The staff and hostess were welcoming and attentive—an Accommodation you’ll want to stay at for as many nights as possible.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our 4-night trip. The other hotels were nice too, but we felt this first hotel was the best, and we would like to stay here again if we visit Okinawa next time. The station is close, all the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay.

Miho Shrine and Aoishi Tatami Street are very close by, making it easy to explore the area on foot. After breakfast, we were able to walk to Miho Shrine to pay our respects, and it was a very meaningful time. We stayed as a family of five, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you very much.

I’m satisfied and would be happy to stay again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed with our family of three and one Chihuahua. The facility was very clean, and the room's kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, which was impressive. The public bath and open-air Onsen were small but very clean with great water quality. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen peacefully. We were extremely satisfied with the facility, and even our daughter said she wants to visit again. If I may suggest, it would be helpful to have more information about dog-friendly shops or facilities around the hotel or in the Yamanaka Onsen area. It was hard to find such information online for this area... But overall, we had a wonderful time! We definitely want to stay again. Thank you so much!

We stayed here for our first family trip. Tendo was a wonderful place, and thanks to the Room and baths at Sakaeya Hotel, we had a very enjoyable trip. Thank you very much.

Honestly, I chose this place mainly for the low price since I only needed somewhere to sleep, but both the building and the room were very clean, and the staff were polite and attentive, so I had a very comfortable stay. I was also able to borrow a ReFa hair iron that I’d always wanted to try, test out the shampoo and conditioner, and breakfast was included at no extra charge—overall an excellent value. I’d definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

Last year, we had to cancel the Reservation just before our stay as 2 out of 7 people caught the flu. This time, we could only make a one-night Reservation due to limited Room availability, but it was worth it. The meals exceeded expectations—mini osechi, seafood, simmered dishes, tempura, handmade desserts—all in portions more than enough for big eaters. The rice was very delicious and self-serve style allowed us to enjoy as much as we wanted without hesitation. Breakfast included special tofu and was also very tasty. The bath offered a view of snowy landscapes; the water temperature felt slightly lukewarm but perfect for relaxing comfortably. Although the Accommodation has an older feel to it, everything was kept very clean and tidy. The staff were all kind and welcoming. We wish we could have stayed for two nights!

After check-in, we were informed that the Onsen at the affiliated Facility was still under renovation, so we received admission tickets to a nearby hot spring Facility and were able to enjoy Aso Onsen. In the morning, we had breakfast while taking in the magnificent panoramic views of Aso—it was a truly luxurious moment. Our grandchildren were very happy as well, and we’ll be back again next year!

Although it was a No Meals Included stay, we had a very comfortable time. Thank you for your courteous and kind service.

Stayed at the accommodation while enjoying cherry blossoms at Rakutenchi with my 90-year-old mother. A spacious room with a relaxing cypress bath. The food was excellent. The staff were very courteous, making it a pleasant trip. We also received admission tickets to Rakutenchi. My mother was delighted to see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Thank you very much!

We stayed here for a family trip, and thanks to the great weather, we had a very comfortable stay. The views of Wakasa Fuji and Wakasa Bay were wonderful, and the Italian meals were delicious—we were very satisfied. It was also nice to be able to enjoy breakfast on the open terrace. Although there was a small issue, the staff responded quickly, which actually made it an even more memorable trip.

We stayed on October 10. We were deeply impressed by the warm hospitality from the moment we checked in. On the first night at dinner, due to our misunderstanding we caused some discomfort, but thanks to your courteous response and attentive service, we were able to truly relax and feel refreshed. The view from the room was beautiful—beyond what we could have imagined. We travel often, but experiences that genuinely enrich the heart are rare. Thank you for giving us such precious memories. My wife and I made it home safely while talking about how we want to visit again. As for any areas needing improvement that your staff might want feedback on, I’m sorry to say there isn’t a single thing. Everything was simply satisfying in every way. My wife and I would like to leave our heartfelt thanks. Thank you very much. It was the first time I’d ever taken such a long bath—it was wonderful.

It was a truly wonderful Hotel. We are deeply grateful for the thoughtful care shown by the staff. Thank you for accommodating our difficult Shuttle Service request, for allowing us to enter the room even though we arrived early, and for serving both dinner and breakfast in a private room, which allowed us to enjoy a calm meal. As it was an inexpensive Plan, we feel very appreciative. We would love to visit again.
