Highly recommended for sauna lovers! The private sauna was available anytime, so we could enjoy it as often as we liked and then relax outdoors while taking in the lush green views. The open-air bath was also spacious, and the scenery was soothing—an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a leisurely meal. They also kindly accommodated my friend’s birthday at dessert time, which made my friend very happy. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. It’s a place that makes you want to come back. It would be lovely during cherry blossom season, or in autumn when you can enjoy chestnuts as well. We’d love to visit again. Our family of three, including our second-grade daughter, stayed here after a day at the beach. We really appreciated being able to use the washing machine and drying area. There’s a convenience store nearby, and Sunset Beach is just a short walk away—it was truly beautiful and moving. Kamo Aquarium is also close by, and it’s about a 40-minute drive to Dewa Sanzan, making the location very convenient. We were very satisfied with the meals as well, and would love to stay again.

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have stayed at many Accommodations throughout the whole country, and this was truly our number one—an Accommodation we sincerely want to return to. What impressed us most was the privacy that comes with renting an entire villa and the peaceful setting where we could relax without worrying about anyone around us. We spent a leisurely time by the pool, enjoying a luxurious moment where time seemed to slow down. In the evening, we invited friends who live on Ishigaki Island and enjoyed a barbecue. With perfect weather, watching the scenery shift from Ishigaki’s beautiful sunset to a sky full of stars is an unforgettable memory. It felt less like a Hotel stay and more like spending time in our own private luxury villa—an exceptional experience. The Room was spotless down to every detail, and the Facility, amenities, and even the selection of drinks in the refrigerator were excellent. It was high-quality yet comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. At night, everything was wonderfully quiet, and we were able to fully relax both body and mind. Thanks to Gokkaiseitei, our anniversary became a truly special memory. For anyone who wants to spend an extraordinary time on Ishigaki Island or celebrate an important occasion with someone special, this is an Accommodation we can confidently recommend. Next time, we would love to book a Multiple Night Stay so we can savor this luxury even more slowly. Thank you very much.

My child came home to visit and brought friends, so we booked at the last minute with the No Meals Included option. The Room Plan was up to the property, but it seems there was availability and we were given a very nice room. They were very happy. We would definitely like to stay again.

I stayed here with my 3-year-old son, my husband, and my parents! The Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every detail, and we had a very comfortable stay. The food was brought out freshly made, and the variety, taste, and presentation were all perfect—we were truly impressed!! Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind, and I was happy to chat with you so much! Also, I’m truly sorry for the trouble we caused right at the very end... We’ll definitely be back again next year!!!

Since we were using public transportation rather than a car to visit Granpal Illumination, we chose this place because it was within walking distance. We wanted to try the highly rated meals as well, but due to our schedule for the illumination event, it didn’t work out and we had to skip it. If we have the chance, we’d love to stay again. The interior decor was lovely, and the three different baths were great!

The hostess was incredibly kind. We chose a meal-included Plan. Dinner was a delicious set course, and breakfast came with many small side dishes and was more than filling. We were very satisfied with the private bath, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis if it is not in use at the time. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Everywhere was spotless, showing great attention to cleanliness, which made our stay comfortable and worry-free. The bath experience was wonderful; we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the open-air bath. Additionally, having views of the ocean from both the restaurant and room added an extra special touch. Thank you for gifting us rosemary upon departure—it filled our car with a soothing aroma on the way home! We shared some with my parents who immediately used it in cooking; they loved how flavorful it was! Thanks to the owner’s hospitality, this trip became truly memorable. We are deeply grateful for your kindness during our stay at such a wonderful accommodation. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. There are no nearby houses, and although we had heard that muntjac sometimes damage the fields, we enjoyed a salad made with freshly picked lettuce and herbs from those very fields. I was hoping to see a muntjac. The bamboo grove behind the property was beautiful.

This was our first stay, and the bathroom, toilet, and kitchen were all new, easy to use, and very comfortable. Dinner while watching the sunset was the best.

The staff’s thoughtful attention to detail is wonderful! The Facility seems to be a renovated historic building, and we had a very comfortable stay. The private family bath had amenities such as lotion, which was a big help since we had used ours up while visiting different Onsen. We were able to relax and enjoy it at the end of our Onsen-hopping. The rice cooked in an individual pot at breakfast is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

They responded thoroughly to the various requests I made before my stay, which I really appreciated. The Facility conditions were excellent, and the staff’s service was the best of any pet Hotel I have stayed at. Although it is a bit farther than where I live, I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much for all your help this time.

We visited as a group of four—my grandparents, my mother, and me—to celebrate my grandmother’s 80th birthday. My grandparents love traveling and have visited many places around the world, including Japan, but they said this experience was truly exceptional. In particular, the concierge who assisted us was wonderful—thank you very much for your thoughtful care and attention. Dinner at the Italian restaurant SEME was also a fantastic experience; both the owner’s warm personality and the food were outstanding. Next time, we would love to visit again with my father as well, who couldn’t join us this time. It was a truly wonderful one-night, two-day stay. Thank you very much.

On the way back from a trip to Mikuni, Sakai City last year, I found a brochure for Hokkokukaido “Imaijuku” at a roadside station and had wanted to visit this post town at least once. I love old streetscapes and traditional houses, so I chose this place for this year. Within about 1 km there are sites such as the former Honjin and Waki-honjin that hint at how prosperous it once was, but sadly very little remains and only traces of the past can be seen. The 90-year-old renovated private rental traditional house was decorated with various Fukui traditional crafts, and both the amenities and Facility were well equipped. I was able to relax comfortably. However, there are steps/level differences inside, so you need to be careful. For dinner we went to the seafood restaurant “Uoza.” The Kaga crab shell platter with plenty of crab miso was especially delicious. There were quite a few cold dishes; I thought it would have been nicer if they had served something warm like clear soup with the sushi roll, or hot tea after the coffee jelly dessert, so we wouldn’t have gotten chilled. The female staff member was very pleasant. The coffee roastery next to the Accommodation happened to be closed due to an event, but after dinner in the evening we ran into them by chance and were able to buy two kinds of beans—rich-flavored beans with a solid body. For breakfast, rice (to cook) along with freeze-dried miso soup and sweet pickled ume paste were provided, so we tried cooking rice in an earthenware pot. The owner’s wife was very thoughtful and helped us in many ways. Thanks to her, it became a fulfilling and memorable trip filled with history and culture—from Imajo-juku to the railway town—as well as great flavors. Thank you very much.

The ocean view that greeted us the moment we entered the Room, the stylish background music, and every flower and decorative touch were wonderful. Unfortunately, we had strong winds and rain, but spending a relaxing, luxurious time in such a lovely Room was the best. Also, having the chef cook right in front of us became an unforgettable memory for our children as well, even though they were a little nervous. We would love to come back to enjoy the different views in summer, autumn, and winter from this beautiful Room. All of the staff were very kind. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

We stayed in a detached Room and were able to relax while enjoying the beautiful garden. The bath in the Room was also very pleasant, as we could open the window and enjoy the fresh air. All of the staff were very professional, and the welcoming, home-like atmosphere made our stay very comfortable.

My first trip to Kozushima and my first stay at a minshuku. (Solo traveler) First of all, I highly recommend staying at Kikuno-ya! A parade of kindness and hospitality! I confidently recommend this place to anyone reading this review! Not only did they provide shuttle service to the port, but they also drove me to the trailhead for hiking (and even explained part of the return route along the way) and took me around various spots for stargazing photography. Time flew by because it was so much fun! The room was spacious and lovely, but before I knew it, it was already 10 PM! The shared bathroom and toilet were very clean. With features like a veranda and a tiled bath, it felt like staying in Mei's house from Totoro—a dream come true! Dinner is luxurious, so make sure you come with an empty stomach! This review has gotten long because there’s so much I want to recommend, but in short: highly recommended! I’ll definitely visit again!

This is a historic, long-established Onsen Ryokan, but the baths and Rooms have been renovated, so we were able to relax comfortably. The meals were also delicious, enjoyed while appreciating both mountain and seafood specialties. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

We stayed with our family and our dog, and it was even better than we expected! The Room was spacious and spotless, with stylish, open interiors. Best of all, the view from the Room was outstanding, and the peaceful scenery truly helped us relax and recharge. The grounds were also very large and beautifully maintained, and our dog was thrilled to run around! It was a wonderful holiday for the whole family (and our dog too!). The original Onsen temperature was a bit high, so adjusting it each time was slightly inconvenient, but having both indoor and outdoor baths at this price is amazing. Truly luxurious! I also appreciated the massage chair. I had requested amenities and towels in advance, and they prepared plenty for me, including body lotion, which was very helpful.
