With only a few Rooms, it is quiet and offers a private atmosphere, making it ideal for guests who want to relax. The staff are very courteous, and the service is attentive. The meals featured plenty of delicious ingredients from Hakodate. It is conveniently located with easy access to buses and streetcars for getting around. We stayed in a Junior Suite Room, and our family was able to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing stay.

We stayed here for the first time with our dog to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The welcome drink and dessert were very delicious! The welcome treat for dogs also seemed tasty—our pup finished it in no time! There’s also a drink bar available at certain times, which was great. They even have alcohol, which was the best!! The dog run was air-conditioned, so it was comfortable even in midsummer. Our dog ran around until completely tired out. Dinner is buffet-style, so it’s hard to decide what to eat (lol). The roast beef and sashimi served as a one-plate set at the table were amazing! Alcohol is available for an additional fee, but the food is so good you can’t help wanting a drink (lol). You can dine together with your dog, and there’s also a buffet just for dogs, so we really enjoyed the meal. Since it was our daughter’s birthday, we ordered a cake for an additional fee, and it was delicious as well! The staff celebrated with us too, and our daughter was thrilled! You can also use a private bath. We used it this time; we had 90 minutes, so we could relax without rushing. Dogs are allowed in the private bath too, which is wonderful! There were post-bath drinks and ice cream in the fridge—also fantastic! It’s well worth paying the extra fee! By the way, I also used the large public bath in the morning. The view was great, and it felt wonderful bathing while looking out over Lake Hamana! The breakfast sandwiches were filling and very tasty! They come with pudding too—again, amazing! One of the reasons this Hotel felt so good is definitely how pleasant all of the staff are!! Everyone we met was smiling; they talked to our dog and played with him too. Our pup got lots of love! If I had to mention something negative: although parts have been renovated, there were some areas where you could feel that the building itself is old and showing its age. But personally, there were far more positives than anything else. How easy it is to stay with your dog here, how great the staff service is, how delicious the food is, how relaxing the baths are—we went home satisfied as a whole family! I’m glad we chose this Hotel for our first overnight trip with our dog. We’d love to stay again!!

We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday. As I was traveling with my elderly mother, I hesitated until the very last minute about whether it was wise to go far. But because she loves Onsen so much, I decided to make the trip in hopes of making her happy. Even though it was a last-minute Reservation, when I told you it was for my mother’s birthday, you responded quickly and courteously. Your warm message—“All of our staff will do our very best to make it a memorable day”—truly meant a lot to me. We were also looking forward to enjoying the baths at Dogo Onsen and the meals, and above all, seeing how happy my mother would be on the day. After we arrived at the Accommodation, everything exceeded our expectations: delicious food, soothing baths, and most of all the wonderful hospitality from your staff. The birthday surprise for my mother was a huge success!!! She was so happy she even cried. The property was spotless and beautifully maintained. The expansive garden filled with lush greenery was especially breathtaking! Thank you so much for giving our family such an unforgettable and special time. We will definitely return.

All staff were wonderful and attentive. Thank you for accommodating my husband’s dietary preferences. The food was delicious, and the beautiful tableware made it a feast for the eyes as well. The Room was lovely, and the bath was spacious, allowing us to relax and enjoy the Onsen at our leisure—we were impressed by everything. Thank you very much.

I stayed with my mother, and we were satisfied with everything! The Room was spacious, bright, and spotless—almost too much for just the two of us. The bath was the perfect size and temperature. Bathing while listening to the morning birdsong was truly special. The meals I had been looking forward to most exceeded my expectations. Each dish was carefully prepared and delicious, and with the lovely atmosphere of the dining area, we had a wonderful time. We didn’t often see the Ryokan staff rushing around, but perhaps that’s part of their consideration so guests can relax in peace and quiet. If so, it’s impressively thorough. My mother especially loved it (as did I), so we would definitely like to stay again!

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was excellent—the amenities were well stocked and the Room was clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious and delicious. The service was also very polite and attentive. This is a Ryokan we would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a Room with an open-air bath and in-room dining. About a 45-minute drive from Kanazawa, with a zoo and the mysterious Hanibe Gankutsu-in nearby, it felt like the perfect place for the first night of our 2-night, 3-day trip, so we decided to stay here. First, when we arrived about 10 minutes past check-in time, everyone was waiting outside in this heat, and since we weren’t used to that kind of welcome, we felt truly apologetic (lol). I was surprised by how vast the grounds were—our Room was spacious, and best of all, it had the semi open-air bath I’d been hoping for! Having a dedicated staff member (?) take care of us throughout our stay also made us feel at ease. This time it happened to be my companion’s birthday month… and when I casually mentioned it, they gave us a birthday gift at dinner. On top of that, the proprietress even put on a surprise (no spoilers), which made it such a fun and memorable experience. We heard the meals change daily, so I think even a Multiple Night Stay would be enjoyable. There are also two large public baths that are more than enough to enjoy even without an in-room bath—we were able to relax and unwind. Above all, we really appreciated the warm hospitality from all the staff. In the end everything worked out well, but since it was their birthday month I requested an additional dinner item in advance; however, on the day we were told that if we ordered that menu they would like to serve dinner not in our Room but in another private dining room instead. Since I had been looking forward to in-room dining as well, I would have appreciated being informed at the time of ordering that this might happen. That said, the room they prepared for us was private—and actually it worked out better for messy people like us because we didn’t have to rush around tidying up before dinner—so we were very satisfied. Next time I’m thinking of visiting during my own birthday month so I can experience the proprietress’s surprise again. Thanks to you all, it turned into a wonderful Kanazawa trip. This was our first trip to Okayama Prefecture, and thanks to all the staff, we were able to enjoy a comfortable Onsen getaway. We now have one more Ryokan we would love to visit again. The Room was clean, and there was a modern desk lamp that allowed wireless charging for iPhones. I really liked this new type of Hotel and would love to stay again.

We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

The staff’s hospitality, the cleanliness of the Room, the delicious meals, and the large public bath—everything was wonderful, and we had a truly lovely time. They even lent us towels and parasols for going to the outside baths, and we really appreciated their thoughtful attention to every detail. I had always wanted to try “tap” mandarin orange juice, but I never expected to experience it at a Hotel—what a delightful surprise. Every dish in the kaiseki dinner was delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of items, all of them tasty, and our child was thrilled and ate plenty as well. If we have another chance to stay in Dogo Onsen, we would definitely like to stay here again! Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. We truly appreciate your accommodating our food allergies. The meals were absolutely delicious. The Ryokan baths, the private bath, and the public hot springs were all wonderful. It was a shame we couldn’t visit all of the public baths, but we’d love to come back and do a full hot spring tour next time! As for amenities, we didn’t have any particular issues, but I happened to forget my makeup remover and thought it would have been helpful if the Ryokan had one available. I stayed with friends, and the food was so delicious that it truly made me happy. It made me want to come again with my family, and I want them to enjoy the meals too. The Room was clean, and the service was very pleasant. Since the Room we stayed in didn’t have a sofa, I felt it might be a bit difficult if I brought my elderly parents without one. Still, next time I’d like to visit with my husband and daughter.

I didn’t realize there was a Ryokan tucked away behind the central sightseeing area of Amanohashidate. Because it is set back, the grounds were quiet despite being in a tourist spot, and I could hear birdsong and the sound of the waves. The building has been renovated, and the Room amenities were up to date; the bath was also very clean. The Onsen in the large public bath isn’t big, but it was comfortable because I didn’t run into anyone, and it was nice to be able to enjoy coffee after bathing. The meals were generous enough to satisfy even someone with a big appetite like me, and everything tasted great. For breakfast, a chef came to our private dining room and cooked dashimaki right in front of us—it was a wonderful surprise. The Nepalese staff member explained the many ingredients in Japanese, and their service was polite and pleasant. I would love to stay again.

We stayed at Nino Kura with two adults and, at short notice, added one child (2 years old). We had both dinner and breakfast at the main house restaurant, and I was amazed by the dinner table setting. The menu listed the date of the day, and everything—from the plates and decorative plants to the cutlery—was thoughtfully curated. Dining in such a carefully crafted space made the meal truly exceptional. As I wrote in the title, it really felt like “God is in the details.” Breakfast wasn’t as showy as dinner, but the refined Japanese breakfast was comforting. It started with appetizers, and I didn’t expect dessert at the end!!! As for our Room, they prepared items for our child as well. These small touches made our stay very comfortable. The free-flowing Toi Onsen hot spring was also wonderful.

During our trip to Ise, we stayed at this Ryokan in Toba and had a truly wonderful time. From the warm welcome on arrival, the bus driver’s cheerful conversation helped us relax and made us feel comfortable from the very start of our journey. At the Ryokan, the Onsen was exceptional. I was so happy that my skin felt silky smooth that I ended up soaking six times—I couldn’t have been more satisfied. The staff also kindly gave us detailed advice for sightseeing the next day. They even considered train schedules, which helped us make the most of our limited time. Of course, we were completely satisfied with everything—the view from our Room and all of the meals. In every moment, we felt the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail, and it was clear that they are consistently well trained. Finding a Ryokan that genuinely made me think, “I want to stay here again,” is one of my favorite memories from this trip. Thank you very much to all of the staff. When we visit Ise and Toba again, we would love to stay with you.

I visited again for the first time in over 20 years. This time, it was to celebrate my retirement. I was deeply moved to receive a surprise commemorative gift—thank you very much. For dinner, we could choose two dishes each, and while we debated what to pick, my husband and I enjoyed selecting four dishes in total. It was wonderful to be able to try a variety of foods. Thank you very much.

I stayed here last year and was very satisfied, so I chose this Hotel again this year. Above all, the highlight is the wide variety of food. Everything was delicious, and I ended up going back for seconds many times. The pork shabu-shabu served in a small hot pot was especially outstanding, and I loved that you can shabu-shabu not only pork but also seafood. With several broth options to choose from, I could enjoy it exactly the way I like. In addition, there were sushi and sashimi, Tokushima ramen, freshly fried tempura, and a great selection of other dishes such as crispy lotus root and sweet potato chips—so much variety that I enjoyed every bite without getting bored until the very end. At the large public bath, bath towels and face towels were provided in the lobby area, so it was very comfortable to be able to use fresh towels each time. There was also complimentary ice cream after bathing, which felt like a thoughtful touch. The night view from my Room was also wonderful—the sparkling city lights were truly beautiful and made for an unforgettable moment. I was completely satisfied with everything—food, baths, service, and views—and it’s a fantastic Hotel that makes me want to come back again.

Thank you for your thoughtful emails even before our stay. On the day, our flight was suddenly canceled and we had to take the ferry, but you quickly adjusted the rental car arrangements. The food was cooked right in front of us, and both the taste and portions were excellent; the drinks were delicious too. The hot spring water quality was great, and we were able to truly relax in both body and mind. Everything was perfect!

You’ll head toward the mountains on a narrow road that might make you wonder if there’s really a Ryokan up ahead. When we finally arrived, it felt like a hidden Accommodation—so exciting! The building was spotless and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, making it truly relaxing. The Onsen had a sulfur scent, and the meals—centered around fish—were delicious down to the pickles. I couldn’t stop going back for more rice! We made our next Reservation as soon as we arrived—it was that wonderful!
