After watching a TV program featuring purple sea urchin, we visited looking forward to the dining experience. The cuisine, making the most of Amakusa’s abundant natural bounty, was far beyond our expectations—truly outstanding. We also appreciated the thoughtful explanations about the ingredients and stories about the producers, and enjoyed a wonderful time with the paired drinks. Dinner enjoyed while watching the beautiful sunset is a special memory we will never forget. A stylish and comfortable Room, an Onsen with ocean views, and breathtaking scenery right before our eyes—everything was exceptional and deeply relaxing. Most memorable of all was the warm hospitality of your staff, who clearly love Amakusa. Their desire to share Amakusa’s charm and ensure every guest truly enjoys their stay came through in every detail, and thanks to their attentive care we felt comfortable throughout. This was my first stay in Ibusuki, and I never imagined there would be an Accommodation here where you could enjoy such outstanding meals. We had Japanese cuisine on the first night and French on the second, and every dish was superb. The French dinner on the second night in particular delighted both our eyes and taste buds, with flavors and presentation that exceeded expectations with every course. Both nights featured dishes generously made with seasonal ingredients from Ibusuki and Kagoshima, and we were truly satisfied. As for the Facility, it did feel a bit dated, and since it was originally a different type of property, there was some mismatch between the in-house equipment/fittings and the Hotel’s concept. However, the Room overlooking Kagoshima Bay is truly one of a kind. The wide range of Facility options—such as the spa, sand bath, and large public bath—made for a very fulfilling stay. I would love to return just to experience that dish again. Thank you for such wonderful memories.

The guest room was very clean, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy the semi-open-air bath. We also made a Reservation for the sake pairing Plan, and they suggested many types of sake that matched our preferences, which made it a wonderful experience. This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. In addition to visiting the shrine path, exploring Kawasaki is highly recommended. At Ise Kawasaki Merchant Museum, you can learn about the town's development and preservation efforts. Conversations with museum staff or shopkeepers in historic buildings became cherished memories

I stayed here with my child. The building blends beautifully into a quiet, peaceful town, and its wonderful atmosphere instantly soothed both body and mind after a long day of walking. It was our first time staying here!! Our dog was thrilled with the spacious yard. In the evening, we relaxed with a BBQ and a campfire—such a great time. There were also drinks and amenities provided, so it’s a perfect 100/100!! We went ahead and made another Reservation. We look forward to staying again next time!!

I have stayed at many hotels considered top-class, but this was the best experience I have ever had. As others have said, the hospitality was truly exceptional—beyond what I could have expected. Breakfast from Gion Kawakami was also an outstanding experience. I would love to visit again in a different season.

I visited this time as a birthday gift for my friend and myself, and it was a truly special place worthy of the occasion. Contemporary art is displayed throughout the property, reflecting the owner’s refined aesthetic and attention to detail. At the same time, the Room and Facility are very simple—nothing unnecessary—making it the perfect environment to savor Awaji Island’s slow, relaxed pace. What left the strongest impression was the cuisine centered around wood-fire cooking. Dinner was French yet wonderfully light, and their commitment to local production for local consumption came through in every dish. The young chef’s creative sensibility was outstanding—especially the sauces! In particular, an abalone liver sauce and a browned-butter sauce served with butterfish were exquisite; I kept dipping bread into them until the very last bite. Dessert was also a new experience: a melon soda made from fermented melon purée brought to a gently sparkling stage! Breakfast was equally superb, featuring enzyme brown rice aged for more than four days. The most moving dish was the clear soup. Even the fermented shrimp-, kelp-, and soy-sauce base used for it was homemade specifically for this meal. Throughout everything, their dedication to ingredients and natural use of fermentation made me feel energized from within. The sauna wasn’t overly hot, so even I—someone who isn’t great with saunas—could enjoy it comfortably, and that deep sense of release afterward felt like true meditation. All staff members were kind and friendly as well, so I felt at ease throughout my stay. Although it was an Accommodation stay, it felt like a retreat. My mind had been busy lately, but this visit helped me return to quietness in both heart and head—and regain my natural strength. It was a genuinely enriching stay.

For the past four years, my spouse and I have been visiting Onsen Accommodations in Hakone and Izu once a month, but we have never stayed at an Accommodation as exceptionally well-rounded as this one. All the staff had wonderful smiles, the art-filled space was relaxing, and the food was excellent—our child was smiling the whole time. We thought it would be even better if children could stay together in a wider variety of Rooms. It became a great summer memory.

Every dish reflected such care and was delicious, and the menu truly invigorated all five senses. In particular, the yogurt, honey, fruit, salad, and juice felt so pure that it was as if I could hear the ingredients themselves—I enjoyed it both physically and mentally! Perks included complimentary drinks in the refrigerator and access to the lounge. Late check-out was extended from 11:00 to 12:00, so we were able to relax and take our time. This is my second stay. After my previous stay, I mentioned a small concern in a comment, and I received a prompt reply, which left a very positive impression and made me want to stay again. During this second visit, I was warmly asked at check-in if there was anything they could help with, which made me glad I came. The hallway leading to the Room and the interior atmosphere were both excellent. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at a reasonable price with the Short Stay Plan. Check-in was after 6:00 PM, but there was a complimentary drink service for guests in the lobby lounge, and I was able to relax while enjoying the beautiful garden view. The next morning, I took a walk in Nakajima Park, which continues from the Hotel’s garden across a narrow road. The Room was clean, and I think it is a satisfying Hotel.
