I made a Reservation because this is an Accommodation where you can stay with pets, but I think it is wonderful even without a pet. There was none of the bustle you might find at a large Ryokan, and the Accommodation was located in a quiet villa area not far from Jogasaki Coast. As I wanted a Room where meals could be served in a private dining space, I stayed this time in the Room called “Akane.” This Room had an exceptionally spacious layout with a living area, dining area, and bedroom, and it was very comfortable to relax in. The staff were also gentle and kind, allowing us to spend a peaceful time together as a family. The food was so plentiful we could hardly finish it—a creative course meal that truly felt like an escape from everyday life—and everything was delicious and very satisfying. I also appreciated how carefully they confirmed any ingredients we do not like in advance, making this an Accommodation I would love to visit again. We were told the outdoor open-air bath uses water drawn from Atagawa’s hot spring source; the temperature was perfect, and I enjoyed it many times during our stay. Unfortunately, we did not have good weather during our visit, which was the only disappointment. I will come back for another try at enjoying the open-air bath while watching the sunrise. Next time, I would like to stay for two nights at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much.

I had stayed at Kinmonko several times before, and after it became Regina Resort, I visited again—also because it coincided with my younger child’s birthday. It was an even better stay than I imagined, and the time spent with my dog felt truly special. Just as rumored, the thorough dog-first hospitality warmed my heart throughout the trip. From the moment we arrived, all the staff welcomed us with smiles and greeted us by name, which helped my dog relax right away. The Room and shared spaces were stocked with an impressive range of amenities for dogs, and their thoughtful attention to detail really stood out. A surprise that made me especially happy During our stay, I casually mentioned in conversation that my dog’s birthday was coming up soon—and to my surprise, they quickly prepared a birthday cake as a special treat. I was amazed by such a wonderful gesture, and having the staff celebrate together with us filled me with gratitude. Seeing my dog happily enjoying the cake became an unforgettable memory. Surrounded by Yufuin’s beautiful nature, this is truly a dream-like place where both dogs and owners can relax without any hesitation. It was the best Accommodation I can confidently recommend for important anniversaries or creating special memories with your dog. I definitely want to visit again! I have stayed at many pet-friendly Accommodations before, but Regina Resort Yufuin was by far the most satisfying in every way. Next time, I would like to stay at “Kakoi” in the new building.
