The weather was unstable, so it was helpful that it was close to Kyoto Station. My child got tired during the journey, and we arrived at the hotel early, but I am grateful for the courteous service, such as allowing us to play in the lobby's kids' space until check-in and guiding us to the family bath, even though we were staying without meals. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity to travel to Kyoto.

The facility is not new, but the 8-tatami mat room comes fully equipped with a refrigerator-freezer, microwave, sink, dishes, pots and pans, an electric stove, and a rice cooker—everything needed for self-catering. The bathroom only has a shower; however, towels, bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided so you don't need to bring your own. The stairs up to the third floor are narrow but staying for three people with no meals included at 12,000 yen was very affordable. Being in the town center means there are nearby restaurants and izakayas as well as an A-Coop supermarket where you can buy ingredients for cooking. We stayed here during a fishing trip and were able to reserve bento boxes delivered at 4 AM—very convenient for early morning fishing or hiking trips. It was such a great accommodation that I would like to use it again. When the ferry was canceled due to bad weather and we extended our stay overnight (multiple night stay), they kindly offered us discounted rates for consecutive nights.

I stayed here the night before to go surfing early in the morning. Although it’s a bit far from the beach, I had planned to move to a parking lot closer to the beach since I have a heavy longboard, so it wasn’t an issue. The facility is slightly old but well-maintained and pleasant. The hostess was very kind and accommodating.

The building itself shows signs of aging, but: * Unlimited access to natural Onsen with free-flowing hot spring water * Friendly and kind staff * Private rooms with futons already laid out, equipped with a TV, kettle, and sufficient amenities * Daily towel exchange even with eco-cleaning requests, plus complimentary water for choosing eco-cleaning * Convenient laundry facilities including washing machines and dryers * Excellent access from both the airport and tram If I visit Hakodate again, I would love to stay here. We stayed here for a family trip with our children in elementary, middle, and high school. The property is a beautiful standalone house with multiple rooms, which made the kids very happy as they could each choose their favorite spot to sleep comfortably. My husband enjoys cooking, so he was pleased that the kitchen was well-equipped with seasonings and tableware like at home. We even cooked Hokkaido rice we happened to buy at a supermarket and enjoyed it for breakfast. It would have been nice if there was hand soap in the bathroom. While it wasn’t an issue for us since we usually bring our own, please note that pajamas and toothbrushes are not provided, so guests will need to bring their own. The spacious bath allowed us to relax fully, creating wonderful memories of our stay.

The service at the reception was excellent even though I checked in at 11 PM, allowing me to have a pleasant stay.

I stayed overnight for an early morning flight to Miyako Island. It's about 1,500 yen by taxi from Naha Airport. It's one of the hotels close to the airport. The hotel feels like an apartment.

Close to the business destination and the most affordable option in the area, I chose this accommodation for a rare opportunity to stay at Arima Onsen. Although I was slightly concerned due to unclear reviews and parking inquiries beforehand, the customer service was excellent—polite and kind. They also promptly issued a proof of stay upon request, which was very helpful. Guests staying at Hataya can use the onsen at Kamioobo, and their guidance regarding this was very thorough and pleasant. The onsen itself is old but atmospheric, located in an underground-like setting. Since it was late at night when I visited, there were few people (I had it all to myself), making it a relaxing experience. The guest room in the accommodation was clean and well-maintained. Being sensitive to smells, I appreciated that there were no unpleasant odors—just a traditional Japanese scent that added charm. The location is excellent: about a 3-minute walk from the famous Kin-no-Yu bathhouse, with convenience stores nearby as well as restaurants and souvenir shops within close proximity. As for drawbacks: - The smoking area is only available in a narrow space near the entrance, which could inconvenience those entering or exiting. - The walls are quite thin; sounds from neighboring rooms are noticeable, requiring extra consideration not to disturb others. - While there’s a desk and chair provided on wooden flooring near them (which amplifies noise), combined with limited space due to having a refrigerator nearby made working challenging—I ended up using the low table instead. This place may not be ideal for business purposes but poses no issues otherwise for leisure stays. Lastly—and not specific just here—accessing parking by car requires caution as roads in central Arima Onsen are narrow; pre-checking directions thoroughly is essential since some paths can make maneuvering difficult if you get lost. Despite listing several concerns above, my overall experience felt like an escape from daily life—it left me appreciating its charm even more after returning home!

I stayed here again while watching a race at Fuji Speedway. I’d love to stay every time, but it’s hard to get a Reservation (T_T) If I can make a Reservation again, I look forward to staying with you.

The TV and the bed are very good! The atmosphere feels like the Showa era. The bathroom and toilet are separate. I’m a non-smoker, but only a smoking room was available; however, I barely noticed any smell. It was a Hotel where I could truly relax.
