My spouse and I stayed here in mid-May 2026. It’s a soothing Accommodation where you can truly relax without any fuss. All the staff were gentle and friendly. The resident “signboard” rabbit was adorable, and it also seems like a pet-friendly Accommodation. This time we chose a Plan with breakfast only, but the breakfast was so delicious that next time we’d like to stay on a Plan that includes dinner as well. One disappointing point this time was part of the baths. When I dipped my feet into the tub on the second floor—the one that looked whitish, like a carbonated bath—it was so hot that it startled me. In the open-air bath as well, the added hot water seemed to be set too high; when a lot of water came out periodically (?), it was too hot to enter unless we stirred it first. I wish I had asked whether the temperature adjustment for the added water just didn’t go well that day, or if the spring temperature changes daily. Still, overall there was hardly any odor, my skin felt smooth, and it was very pleasant water.

I stayed here on the recommendation of an acquaintance who has visited Karuizawa many times. It was just a few minutes’ walk to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, so it was very convenient for exploring the area. The Room and the large public bath were both spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I really enjoyed both meals—they were delicious. I requested the Shuttle Service, and the vehicle was clean and the ride was excellent. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been even more comfortable if the TV supported network features. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Karuizawa.

At check-in, we were told our Room had been upgraded—what a wonderful surprise. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy an even more relaxing stay than usual. Also, my husband accidentally left something behind, and you contacted us promptly before he even noticed. We are truly grateful for your kind help and support.

We stayed with our family during the Obon holidays. The meals featured presentations we had never experienced at any other Hotel, and the portions were just right—everything was absolutely delicious. Being able to watch the sunset from the lounge during dinner also became a wonderful memory. The lounge was very comfortable, not only for the view but also for its lovely interior that felt almost like a private space. However, family members who don’t drink alcohol wished there were a wider variety of cake-style sweets to go with coffee. Also, the duvet was too thick, so it would have been nice to have a summer option. We would definitely love to visit again.

Even when I don’t swim, I travel solo year-round in search of gourmet Accommodations near the sea. (For the food and the scenery.) I was delighted to be upgraded to a sea-view Room. It was a Japanese-style Room, but it also had a leather sofa and ottoman, so I could stretch out and relax while gazing at the ocean. When I woke up around 5:00 a.m., I was able to watch a beautiful sunrise from my Room. There is a calm inner-sea beach right in front of the Accommodation, and there are showers as well, which makes it great for families with small children. The meals were outstanding—an impressive lineup of local specialties. My main goal was Wakasa guji (tilefish), and it was even more delicious than I imagined; the Wakasa guji ochazuke was exceptional. Also, the Matsunaga rice was incredibly good (probably the best I’ve ever had). I didn’t use the public bath and used the shower in my Room instead, but the shampoo and conditioner were from Hokurokusousui—a brand I love—so it was very relaxing. Recently, more Accommodations have been renovated from wooden buildings, but some noise—voices and footsteps—is unavoidable. You can often hear children as well. It’s not exactly quiet. However, more than making up for that, each staff member’s hospitality and way of engaging with guests felt wonderful. In particular: the woman with glasses who assisted me at check-in; the woman at breakfast (I’m sorry I forgot your name); and one of the male staff members who gave me helpful advice for sightseeing in Obama after checkout. Thanks to them, this became more than just an overnight stay—I had a chance to learn even more about Obama—and it turned into a truly satisfying trip. I heard that midwinter is especially good for hata (grouper), fugu (pufferfish), and Echizen crab. As transportation access improves from here on out, this will be an Accommodation you’ll want to visit even more. Next time, it would be perfect if you could lend me a firmer pillow!! That’s my only request for next time!! (I can’t sleep if a pillow doesn’t suit me.) Thank you very much to all of your staff for everything.

I traveled with my 94-year-old mother. I was worried that her limited mobility might make things difficult, but the restroom was designed to be accessible by wheelchair, which was very convenient. The Hatsushima Room was very spacious, and the open-air Onsen bath in the Room had a wonderful location—we enjoyed soaking together many times while looking out at the sea. Listening to birdsong, we were able to relax and enjoy long conversations in the bath. Since meals were served in the Room, my mother didn’t have to move around much, which made it easy for her. Thank you for the celebratory champagne and wine. Everyone on staff was very kind, and we had a wonderful time. This is a great Accommodation that cherishes old things, and the furniture in the Room creates a calm, lovely atmosphere. It has become one of the Accommodations I would like to visit again.

We stayed to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The views from the lobby, Room, and restaurant were all amazing, and above all, every dish at the restaurant was outstanding! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made our day truly special. Thank you so much—we’d love to visit again! The photo is from when we turned on the TV…! I didn’t know about this surprise touch either, so I was really amazed.

We drove to the Accommodation by car. To be honest, we wondered if we were heading the right way, but then this hidden retreat suddenly appeared on a hilltop. First of all, the hostess and all the staff were truly kind, which made our stay wonderful. With only a few Rooms, we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. The food was carefully prepared and delicious as well. In summer, it’s perfect for swimming in the sea; in winter, for crab. It’s such a great Accommodation that you’ll want to come back again.

The Hotel is conveniently located near Mishima Station, and they also stored our luggage. There is a large public bath, and the breakfast was delicious—we were very satisfied. The complimentary coffee drink service was also excellent. When I visit Mishima again, I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

Only 10 Rooms on a spacious property. The grove garden right in front of you is a private view (guests cannot enter), giving you the true feel of a vacation home. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the semi-open-air bath in the Room, the open-air bath at the large public bath, and dinner featuring an array of premium ingredients considered luxurious in Japanese cuisine, as well as breakfast with just the right portion size. If we had to make one small request, it would be that the bath towels were a bit thicker.

My first trip to Morioka in a year, and my first Dormy Inn stay in a while. This time I made a Reservation for a twin room, and it was on the same floor as the large public bath—so convenient. My travel companion, who hates hassle, was genuinely impressed! The Onsen, sauna, and outdoor relaxation area were incredibly soothing. The breakfast reimen noodles were delicious; personally, I preferred Dormy Inn’s over some of the city’s famous spots. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but there were plenty of nearby restaurants for dinner, so it wasn’t an issue. I was disappointed that the amenity socks were no longer available (they used to be there, right?). Still, I’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for one night with three people. In addition to the three beds, there was a table and chairs, and we were able to open two suitcases on the floor. It was also nice that the toilet and washbasin area were separate. The hair dryer in the Room was a Dyson. Unfortunately, the springs in the extra sofa bed were so painful even just sitting on it that it was hard to sleep. Also, one of the chairs was wobbly and unusable. If the sofa bed and chair are replaced, it would be perfect. My family said that when the public bath is crowded, the changing area is small and difficult to use. I used it comfortably when it wasn’t busy. It would be nice if we could check how crowded it is from the Room.

I stayed here for the first time last year and was satisfied overall, so I chose this Accommodation again. They kindly stored my luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which allowed me to sightsee hands-free. Thank you very much. The Room was comfortable. In particular, the bathtub was spacious so I could relax and recover from fatigue, and the shower water pressure was strong—one of the reasons I returned. I would love to stay here again when visiting Toyama.

My spouse and I stayed here, and it was such a wonderful Hotel that we truly thought, “We definitely want to stay again.” The moment we stepped into the Room, a soft, pleasant aroma filled the air—and beyond that were huge windows spanning the entire space. The beautiful ocean stretched across the whole view, and we were so moved that we couldn’t help saying “Wow.” Even in the morning, when we got out of bed and opened the curtains, we were amazed all over again by the sea right in front of us. It felt as if we were one with the ocean, and throughout our stay we found ourselves gazing out the window again and again. The dining was also outstanding. The Japanese course meal was delicious from start to finish, and you could really taste how fresh each ingredient was. We also enjoyed the drink pairing with each dish—it was such a fun experience, and savoring each combination together became a special memory for us. Thanks to our Diamond member benefit with a 12:00 checkout time, after the standard 11:00 checkout we were able to use the rooftop lounge almost as if it were reserved just for us. Sitting in that quiet space with no one else around—enjoying coffee while looking out at the sea—was pure bliss. It felt like an incredibly luxurious moment with an ocean view all to ourselves. The staff’s attentiveness was exceptional as well. At dinner, a male staff member thoughtfully timed our drinks perfectly and shared details about each dish; at breakfast, a young female staff member was cheerful and easy to talk to, and her friendly conversation made everything taste even better. I was also touched when a housekeeping staff member noticed I had both hands full of coffee cups and quickly opened the door for me. One small note: the road leading to the Hotel is quite narrow, and since it was during Obon with many pedestrians around, I felt a bit uneasy driving in. When I got lost on my first attempt and called the Hotel, a staff member came down to guide me—an act of kindness I truly appreciated. The view, food, and hospitality were all excellent—it was a relaxing stay that my spouse and I genuinely enjoyed from start to finish. We would love to return again.

I looked for a good Accommodation in Gunma, my father’s hometown, to travel with my elderly parents. My husband and I have stayed here about twice before, and I really wanted to come again, so I made a Reservation. The Room, the meals, and the service from the staff are all excellent—this is a truly wonderful Accommodation. One thing only: I knew it wasn’t barrier-free, but moving around inside the Facility was still quite demanding for my father, who cannot walk without a cane. The buildings and atmosphere are so beautiful that I wondered whether adding ramps or handrails might spoil the charm… but it was disappointing to feel that this place may be difficult to use for guests who need assistance with walking. Other than that, everything was truly outstanding, and I would love to stay again. This time we stayed in the Room called “Kanho.”

I stayed here solo for a live concert trip. I had a Reservation for a Standard Double, but they kindly offered to change it to the Ladies’ Room free of charge since there was availability, which I really appreciated. The large public bath had a good Panasonic hair dryer, and although I didn’t use them this time, they also offer free late-night soba and ice cream—great services that made the stay very comfortable. It’s a bit of a walk from Ikebukuro Station, but there’s a convenience store nearby and the service was excellent, so I’d like to stay here again when I come to Tokyo.

Nearly 30 years ago, I stayed several times at the old Hakun Sanso before it was rebuilt. I was disappointed when it was demolished, but after seeing an advertisement that it had newly reopened, I decided to stay again for the first time in a long while. The bath area was clean, though I was a bit disappointed there wasn’t an open-air bath. The buffet meals were also delicious. Perhaps because it was the last night of a holiday weekend, there were few guests and I could relax. One small issue: the chairs at the Room table set were too high and uncomfortable to sit on.

Everything—from the Facilities and hospitality to the food—exceeded our expectations, and it was a stay the whole family truly enjoyed. Our child liked it so much they said, “I want to come again,” and we felt this Hotel is perfect for a family trip. This time we stayed for one night and two days because we were also staying at another Hotel, but considering the well-equipped Facilities and services, I think a Multiple Night Stay would let us enjoy this Hotel’s appeal even more. Next time, we definitely want to stay multiple nights. [Club Lounge] The staff at check-in were extremely courteous, and we were offered sweets and drinks during the process. They also prepared coloring sets for each child in our party, which left a great impression as our child could spend the time without getting bored. [Guest Room: Ryukyu Suite / Beach View] The in-room refrigerator was a large model with completely separate fridge and freezer compartments, making it very convenient for families. The toilet was modern and very clean, so it was comfortable to use. Having a drum-type washing machine in the room is especially helpful for longer stays or trips with children. Also, since there is a tatami room, our child could relax safely lying down, and we felt it was a guest room where families can unwind comfortably together. Because it’s on the 3rd floor, the view isn’t quite breathtaking—but we had no particular complaints and stayed very comfortably. [Dinner: Roy’s] There was an excellent variety of sushi options, and the desserts were plentiful as well—everything was delicious. We were satisfied enough that we definitely want to dine there again next time, and I can strongly recommend it to anyone planning to stay here. [Breakfast: Four Seasons] As part of the Club Floor benefits, we could make a Reservation at check-in, which helped us avoid crowds and enter smoothly. All dishes were delicious—especially the pancakes. With seating that overlooks the ocean and a great atmosphere overall, it made for a wonderful morning. [Large Public Bath] We used it around 9:00 PM. It was crowded inside but there were always open washing stations available. Towels were provided as well, which made it comfortable. [Facilities & Amenities] There is an indoor pool (not large), but with activities like rock-paper-scissors stamp rallies being held too, children won’t get bored even on rainy days. We spent time comfortably everywhere—including the outdoor pool area and beach. [What Was Disappointing] The Club Floor benefit “Dolphin Splash” and the suite benefit “Wake-Up Sailing” were fully booked so we couldn’t use them. Since the website states they are first-come-first-served this is understandable; however, I hope improvements can be made so guests are less likely to miss out on these benefits.

Our family of three stayed here. After checkout, we were truly touched that both the front desk staff and a floor staff member stood together and waved to see us off until we were out of sight. The hospitality was exceptional.

I stayed here last year and had such a great experience that I came back again. The location offers easy access to Minato Mirai and central Tokyo, and not only is the Room great, but the laundry facilities are convenient and easy to use—and I can’t resist the Komeda breakfast (lol). Next month, I’ll be staying again with my grandchild during summer vacation. Thank you very much!
