My check-in was late due to the ferry schedule, but they kindly accommodated me. In the living room, guests were happily chatting with the hosts! On the day I left, they saw me off even in the heat and took a commemorative photo with me! I had a very comfortable stay and would love to come again! Thank you very much!

This was my first stay, and the staff’s smiles felt genuine—not forced. Thank you to everyone for such a relaxing time. It was a Room that allows dogs, but there was hardly any animal or ammonia smell. We brought two dogs, and we were not bothered by any odor in the Room. Thank you for a wonderful time. I didn’t want to think about work starting again the next day. We’ll be back when it gets a little cooler.

Stayed in a detached accommodation with an open-air bath. Enjoyed multiple baths, the room was clean, and I could relax! The meals were delicious, plentiful, and very satisfying. However, the attendant was a bit unfriendly and mumbled while speaking, which was intimidating. Also, there were stairs; although they provided sandals, it felt safer to wear shoes. Overall, I was very satisfied. The food was truly delicious!

The Room was clean and comfortable. The meals, handmade by the hostess, were very delicious and offered in such generous portions that we couldn't finish them all. We were able to enjoy our meals together with our beloved dog, making it a pet-friendly Hotel. It was an unforgettable stay. Thank you very much!

Thank you for taking care of us for two days. Both dinner and breakfast looked wonderful and tasted amazing. We could really feel the care put into each dish. The Room was clean, and we were able to relax in the private rock bath. The staff were kind—this Accommodation deserves five stars in every way. We would love to stay again.

The place was clean, we could enjoy a BBQ, and it’s close to ES CON Field, so we had a great time. The BBQ portions were a bit large for us, perhaps because we had children with us. Since there is only a shower booth (no bathtub), we used the bath at Tower Eleven. There is no TV or pajamas provided, so it would be nice if those were available. The staff were also very kind. Drinks and small daily necessities can be purchased until 7:00 PM at another shop within F Village.

Due to the typhoon, we had to change our plans at short notice and made a same-day Reservation. It was in a great location—within walking distance of the station, just a few minutes on foot to Kokusai-dori, and right next to a bathing Facility. We initially stayed just as a temporary option, but it was so comfortable that we extended our stay. The building was clean, and breakfast offered three kinds of bread plus a wide variety of drinks—even boiled eggs—so for this price we were very satisfied. I was surprised the hair dryer was ReFa; the amenities were well stocked, and the laundry was free (detergent is paid), which I think is a great service for women. All staff members were pleasant and helpful. This is definitely a Hotel I’d like to use again!

This accommodation is for guests traveling by car only. From the outside it looks like a trailer house, but once you open the door, it feels just like a Hotel! During our 3-night stay, we appreciated the daily towel replacement and trash collection. We also received three days’ worth of small frozen meals for free, plus complimentary green tea and black tea—very helpful when we got a little hungry. Amenities were well stocked, and you can choose what you need at the front desk. Laundry facilities were available as well. It was fully booked every day, so an early Reservation is recommended.

This Ryokan has an outstanding Japanese atmosphere. The view of Nishi Honganji from the Room is amazing. I would love to stay again.

Highly recommended for sauna lovers! The private sauna was available anytime, so we could enjoy it as often as we liked and then relax outdoors while taking in the lush green views. The open-air bath was also spacious, and the scenery was soothing—an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a leisurely meal. They also kindly accommodated my friend’s birthday at dessert time, which made my friend very happy. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. It’s a place that makes you want to come back. It would be lovely during cherry blossom season, or in autumn when you can enjoy chestnuts as well. We’d love to visit again. During our mother-and-daughter trip to Kyoto to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, we had the pleasure of staying here. Although I have visited Kyoto many times, I wasn’t very familiar with this area and felt a bit uneasy at first. However, walking along the Shirakawa River lined with graceful willow trees was wonderfully soothing and brought me a deep sense of calm. The Accommodation blends quietly into the neighborhood, and from the lobby to the Room, everything is unified in a simple modern Japanese style—clean, uncluttered, and extremely comfortable. Perhaps each Room is decorated to match its name; in our Room called “Hotarubi,” there were firefly motifs on the wall, which felt beautifully tasteful. We stayed in a Superior Twin Room, and it was very spacious. The toilet area, bath/vanity area, and living space were all separated by partitions, creating a relaxed and luxurious layout—one of my favorite points. What my mother loved most was the generously sized hinoki cypress bath. She found the scent so calming that she enjoyed it two or three times. We were also deeply touched by your thoughtful 80th birthday message and bouquet. To everyone at Accommodation Akekure who welcomed us with warm hospitality from check-in to check-out: thank you for such a wonderful stay. Hearing my usually reserved mother say “I want to stay here again” made me truly happy as well. We would love to visit again!

From the moment we arrived at the Accommodation, we were warmly welcomed, and it felt very homey. The food was delicious, and everything was explained very carefully. At night, we were also able to watch a meteor shower from what seemed like a terrace or balcony, which was very satisfying.

We stayed at the accommodation for the first time to celebrate our couple's 60th birthday. Thank you very much for your hospitality. The facility was clean, the food was delicious, and we were able to relax. Although it was a bit of a distance to Toshogu Shrine, we enjoyed walking while admiring the beautiful autumn leaves and stopping by shops along the approach. It is conveniently located near Tobu Nikko Station, making it ideal for those arriving by Spacia train. Additionally, we were deeply impressed by the impeccable hospitality of the hostess at the front desk.

In 2025, I visited Okinawa four times and stayed at different condo vacation rentals each time. However, my stay at Doka Doka was the best, so I decided to return here for my year-end visit. During this second stay, I noticed various thoughtful touches from the perspective of guests that I hadn't realized during my first visit. It made me feel that this place is the perfect choice for future stays. While many "Instagrammable Rooms" are introduced all over Okinawa, I've often felt they lack consideration for actual guest needs when staying there. This includes kitchen facilities, cooking utensils, bathrooms, or even how doors open and close—small details but noticeable nonetheless. It seems like those managing such facilities may not have actually stayed in their own rooms themselves. On the other hand, it feels like whoever designed this place considered everything from a personal user’s perspective because nothing is lacking here. (The bathroom doesn't have a reheating function for baths; hence my rating of 4 stars in that regard—but it's not something I'd ask to be changed as it’s perfectly fine as is.) It may not be highly "Instagrammable," but it offers more than enough comfort if your goal is to live like a local during your stay. The beautiful Yachimun pottery provided adds an extra touch of joy when preparing meals in the kitchen. The café breakfast experience was also wonderful—staff were very kind and accommodating with generous portions served. The scenery was stunning while the gentle music and atmosphere inside uplifted our morning mood beautifully. I’m already looking forward to visiting again next time! Thank you very much!

Stayed for 3 nights with 5 adults. The facility had 5 beds, providing a comfortable and spacious stay. The beds were on the softer side. Conveniently located near Euglena Mall and just a 13-minute walk to Ishigaki Port, making it ideal for staying in the city center. A convenience store is nearby, making it easy to grab breakfast. We stayed during an unusually cold New Year's period for Ishigaki Island but remained comfortable thanks to two large air conditioners. The staff was kind and showed great care for the facility. We had a wonderful time—thank you!

This was my first stay in Taga Town. I was truly impressed to find such a wonderful Accommodation in Taga. From the time I made the Reservation until just before my stay, you kindly addressed all of my concerns and questions. During my stay as well, your warm hospitality meant a lot to me. The breakfast was delicious and clearly very healthy, and the after-coffee was especially excellent. I heard that breakfast is so popular that some guests come specifically for it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some guests come just for your coffee. In the peaceful surroundings, I was able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay. One request: the water drainage at the Tsugumi washbasin was poor, so I would appreciate it if you could check it. Other than that, I thought it was wonderful how this old and spacious traditional house has been kept so clean and well maintained. I would love to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

My second stay in four years, and it was another wonderful experience. The Facility was just as spotless as last time, and you can really feel the staff’s careful daily work. We drove around to shop for local Hakuba vegetables, locally raised pork, and Shinshu sake, then had our accompanying chef cook for us. Absolutely the best. Check-in/out is contactless, but the service quality truly lives up to the word “hospitality,” such as having fresh towels prepared on the second day. Having four toilets and three shower rooms (two with bathtubs) is also something you’d expect from a Hakuba Accommodation shaped by skiers—very much appreciated. Spending time with friends over drinks, deepening our bonds, and talking about the future—if you can arrange a car and a chef, summer in Hakuba is unbeatable. If I had one request: stronger Wi‑Fi. A bit more speed would make online meetings even easier. That said, there’s no doubt this is an Accommodation I want to add to my regular rotation. We also visited Kurobe Dam. It’s less than an hour by car to Ogizawa Parking Lot, so it’s definitely a great sightseeing option.

Two families with kids stayed for two nights. The terrace and lawn, where you can have the breathtaking satoyama views all to yourself, were simply incredible—we felt refreshed far beyond what two nights would normally allow. We’ve stayed at many private rental homes, but it was rare (and greatly appreciated) to find information about an on-site private chef on the property’s own website—it was the deciding factor for our Reservation. Being able to enjoy a meal in such a wonderful setting, combined with perfect weather, made this an unforgettable stay. Having access to a fire pit was also fantastic. The hill is indeed steep in parts (like some roads in Izu or Shimoda), but the steep section is short, and driving a typical sedan didn’t feel overly stressful. (It might be different with a wider or longer vehicle like a Jeep or van.) As for insects: I’m someone who can’t even stand seeing roaches and can’t clean up after them—but other than pests, bugs don’t bother me—so it didn’t concern me at all. We did use insect spray at times (I would have left them alone, but one of our friends dislikes bugs), and it was a freezing-type spray rather than one with insecticidal chemicals, which was another big plus. The interior was clean and comfortable, and we also liked how much storage there was in the bedrooms. Since it’s a traditional old house, the walls are thin (voices from the living room or tatami room carry into the bedrooms), and laying out futons in the tatami room is self-service. The kitchen equipment, plates, and wine glasses were well stocked in both variety and quantity. In addition to basic seasonings, it was convenient that leftover condiments from previous guests were kept in the refrigerator as-is. On the other hand, there’s no dishwasher; also, kitchen ventilation wasn’t great for our taste, and we found the dining area size/atmosphere—and especially the lighting—a bit too bright. Still, none of that compares to this one-of-a-kind location and how wonderful the terrace and garden feel.

We stayed as a group of four, including my wife and parents. The charm and elegance of this building, designated as a city cultural property, were truly remarkable, and my parents were very pleased. I even wondered how such an environment could be provided while maintaining profitability. Here are some thoughts: 〇 Highlights - My parents found the traditional-style house nostalgic and reminisced about the past. I felt it would be great for elderly guests to stay here. Once inside (except for the twin bedroom and detached bathroom), there are no steps, making it comfortable for older adults. - The distance from Obi Castle was perfect; we enjoyed walks both in the evening and morning. The walking paths had a lovely atmosphere. - The garden was beautiful, and opening the window in the detached bathroom created a pleasant semi-open-air experience (though it's not an Onsen; bath salts might be nice). We also appreciated having Yoguruppe available. - The dining area featured delicious craft beer and shochu highball on tap, along with other drinks and snacks. As a fan of shochu highball myself, I was delighted (and drank too much). 〇 Areas for Improvement - The front door and toilet doors were stiff to open or close for elderly guests. It would be helpful if they could operate with less force. - While the outdoor stone stairs (9 steps) had small rises, the wooden entrance stairs (5 steps) had larger rises that seemed slippery—challenging for older adults with weaker legs or balance issues. We appreciated being advised beforehand about entering through the back door instead; however, even there were some steps without handrails that required caution. Adjustments to reduce step height would greatly benefit elderly visitors. - Due to low airtightness in parts of this historic building during pollen season, certain areas indoors (like desks in earthen-floored rooms or parts of hallway walls) felt slightly dusty. The town of Obi itself is wonderful but staying at this accommodation alone made our trip worthwhile—it was an exceptional experience! We look forward to staying here again when visiting Obi in the future. Thank you very much!
