The top-floor Onsen features silky-smooth water, with ice pops served at night and probiotic drinks in the morning—thoughtful hospitality. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, with carefully selected ingredients in every dish; everything was delicious, and I ended up eating too much. The classic late-night soba is light yet flavorful, and I had no trouble finishing it even after dinner.

I stayed here because I had errands nearby, and it was a very simple yet properly renovated, clean Hotel. The Room looks a bit dark in the photos, but it doesn’t feel that dark when all the lights are on. I’m very satisfied to be able to stay at this price.

We couldn’t hear pets from other rooms, and our dog seemed to relax and enjoy the stay. Having a private open-air bath made it easy to use at any time, which was wonderful. The meals were delicious, but since there were many hot pot dishes on a warm day, we felt that a few more chilled options might have been nice—overall, we were very satisfied.

I stayed here the night before because I had errands for my child. Next door there’s Bamiyan and Gusto, and nearby there are a 7-Eleven, Yoshinoya, Sukiya, Cocochi, MOS Burger, and a ramen shop. For one night with two guests, you receive two frozen-meal vouchers at check-in. You can choose from mapo eggplant bento, meatball bento, curry, meat sauce pasta, or yaki udon. The free drink corner offers coffee only, but the machine brews each cup by drip and felt quite authentic. Amenities are next to the front desk; you take what you need yourself. The sleepwear was a gown type. Earplugs were also available. I don’t smoke, but the smoking area is outdoors. If it rains, you’ll likely need an umbrella to smoke. Parking right in front of the Room is very convenient. Check-out was easy too—just drop the card-style room key into the post box outside the front desk and leave. Once inside the Room it’s so comfortable you forget you’re in a container unit; however, because the window is small and doesn’t open much, there was a slight lack-of-ventilation smell in the Room. Since there’s an air purifier provided, it may be best to run it on full power. In the bathroom there were shampoo, conditioner, body soap, foaming face & hand wash (foam), bath towels, and face towels. Inside the Room there were about five hangers; TV channels were terrestrial digital only. Wi‑Fi is also available. I avoided an “issue” Room type (“wake ari”), so there was no vibration or noise for me at all. At Bamiyan next door I sat at a seat closest to Route 1 (the main road), and it shook like an earthquake every time a truck passed—so I’m glad I chose a non-“wake ari” Room along the road side as well. It’s casual and inexpensive, so I’d like to use other Hotel R9 locations in other areas again if I have the chance."""

This was my first stay. The atmosphere was warm and homey, and all the staff welcomed us with bright smiles. The Facility is a bit old, but it is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The meals featured locally sourced ingredients, were beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The Onsen warmed me through to the core and left my skin glowing. I soaked in it many times. I felt refreshed for the first time in a while. I’m happy to have found an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

I visit Ajiro for fishing and always choose this accommodation as my regular stay. It's so comfortable that I often end up extending my stay. The view is great, and the private bath is absolutely amazing. I will continue to support you!

I stayed overnight in Shimonoseki and was looking for an Accommodation where I could truly look forward to the meals. Since there was a Plan that included both fugu and beef, I made a Reservation right away. The building is a long-established culinary Ryokan with a sense of history, and I heard that locals use it for weddings and funerals as well as to enjoy seasonal fish dishes. The fugu was served as tessa (a Kansai term), with thick slices and an exceptional sweetness. The Miyazaki beef was also tender, and the combination was easy to enjoy. The dishes may look simple at first glance, but each one is carefully crafted—far beyond anything an amateur can judge. The staff were polite yet relaxed, offering thoughtful, unobtrusive service that made my stay very comfortable. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it to travelers whose main priority is the Facility. As a long-established Ryokan, the building clearly shows its age in a good way, and you can tell it has been carefully maintained. This was my first stay here, but I would definitely like to return the next time I visit Shimonoseki. Thank you very much.

Facing the Kanmon Straits, it was soothing to watch the ships passing through all the time. The meals were carefully selected and delicious. It was also great to be able to see the straits from the bath; however, the bath was quite crowded with many local residents, which surprised me a little. As a request, I think it would be relaxing if you could use some aroma fragrance or incense in the corridor where the Room is located.

The Accommodation’s heartfelt hospitality was evident from check-in onward, extending through dinner, the Onsen, and every aspect of your stay in the Room.

Although I have stayed here several times, it felt like there were fewer breakfast menu options than before. It seems that the selection varies by Route Inn location.

It was my first time back in Ube City in a very long while, and the town has completely changed, but I was truly moved that the Hotel was still there just as before. The building is understandably old, but in return, the staff’s kind service and the wide variety and abundance at breakfast were wonderful. (I was happy to see kawara soba again—it brought back memories.) I met my friend at the restaurant next door, and I was glad to receive a discount as a guest privilege. Thank you for taking care of me.

I ended up staying in Niigata at short notice, and I really appreciated your help. Even though it was late at night, the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. The Room was clean, and for this type of Hotel, the bathtub in the bathroom was pleasantly spacious. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options—especially the nikujaga and Niigata-grown Koshihikari rice, which were delicious. I’d love to stay again when I visit Niigata.

Thanks to the young female staff member at the front desk who kindly gave us detailed directions to the surrounding roads, we were able to enjoy sightseeing in Hakone without any trouble. We could also see Mt. Fuji from our Room, and the Onsen was very relaxing. We would love to stay again.

We stayed in a two-room suite with a view of the townscape roofed with Sekishu tiles. The view itself wasn’t great—more like looking at the neighboring house—but it was more than made up for by the hospitality and the food. This wasn’t typical Ryokan cuisine; the dishes were thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients. Hot items were served hot and freshly made. We stayed on the day of the fireworks festival before Obon. After taking a bath, we lay down until dinner, watching the sunset and listening to insects—it felt wonderful. We went to Yakushiyu before dinner, but it was hot while waiting there, and since the Accommodation’s bath was so good, we wished we had used the Accommodation’s bath in the evening and gone to Yakushiyu early in the morning instead. In the hallway, as part of their hospitality, there was a refrigerated case where each guest could choose one drink—beer, juice, or water. That made us happy. And about the fireworks: we expected a small rural display, but it kept going for nearly 30 minutes without getting boring—it was very well planned. We’d like to stay again around this time next year before Obon.

We stayed in a Room with a slide! The moment we saw it, we got so excited, and our three kids kept climbing up and sliding down over and over—they looked like they were having fun the whole time. There were so many kid-friendly activities—shopping and post office role-play, candy fishing, and shaved ice spinning—that it was absolutely fantastic. It was a little disappointing that there wasn’t a teapot or Ureshino tea in the Room. We bought roasted Ureshino hojicha at the shop and enjoyed it. After dinner, one of the kind dining staff prepared a teapot with sencha for us, so we could drink it in our Room as well, which was wonderful. Thank you very much for your thoughtful care. It also happened to be firefly season, and we were able to join a bus tour from near the Accommodation, which was great. There were so many fireflies—it was truly moving! Even when we returned from the firefly tour around 9:00 p.m., there were plenty of staff around the front desk area, creating a bright atmosphere that made us feel safe and happy. The dining venue had many families with children as well, so we could relax and enjoy our meal without worrying. The sashimi and meat dishes were delicious, and we left completely full. We would love to stay again when traveling with children.

I was attending a live tour and the venue is far from home, so I decided to look for Accommodation nearby. This time, I chose to stay at Art Park Hotel right next to the venue—Done. On the online map it was listed under the previous Hotel name, so I was a bit confused at first, but I’m glad I was able to make a Reservation without any issues. As the name suggests, it’s a Hotel with art on display throughout the building. I also received some beautiful art postcards. [Art is displayed in the Hotel.] It was truly right next door and very convenient. Parking was free as well. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been even better for me if there had been an Onsen or a large public bath… but that can’t be helped. The front desk staff greeted me and assisted me with smiles. Breakfast was delicious too. It was just one night and two days, but thank you for taking care of me.

It’s been eight years since our last stay, and this was our first visit back in a while. We returned because it’s one of our favorites, but here are a few things we noticed for next time: - We would like one more face towel at the washbasin in the Room, since two of us are staying. - Toiletries such as lotion are provided, but my wife said she would like emulsion/moisturizer as well. - A few dishes tasted quite salty to us—such as the breakfast soup, grilled salmon, and pickles. We had heard that Nagano Prefecture has been reducing salt recently. Despite these comments, this remains our favorite Accommodation thanks to the excellent hospitality of the staff. Thank you for taking care of us. We will visit again.

Stayed during a cold wave. With snow falling outside, we enjoyed a relaxing staycation in the lounge. Right after check-in, we headed to the lounge and spent time chatting over coffee and cookies. During cocktail time from 5 PM, we enjoyed various drinks and were very satisfied. The snacks were substantial enough that many might find them sufficient as dinner. In the morning, we used the breakfast buffet on the first floor as part of our breakfast-included plan. The selection of Japanese dishes was excellent, including freshly made omelets prepared right in front of us—very filling! Afterward, we visited the lounge again to find another breakfast buffet there! Despite being full, we couldn’t resist trying some unique menu items exclusive to this area. We fully utilized our time at the Hotel and had an incredibly satisfying staycation experience. If there’s one thing I’d suggest for improvement, it would be adding cakes or similar treats during tea time—it would make things perfect! Even now though, it’s already a great place to relax. The Room was comfortable as well; I’d love to stay here again!

This time, I stayed two nights on the Mojiko side, then took the ferry across to the Shimonoseki side for one night. It was a very sunny and hot day, but Karato Market, the Karato Ferry Terminal, Kaikyokan (Shimonoseki Aquarium), Hai! Karatto Yokocho (a small amusement park), and RISONARE are all lined up in the same area, so it’s great that you can enjoy everything within walking distance. On top of that, the Hotel offers plenty of kid-friendly activities such as the pufferfish pool and pufferfish beach, and the little ones looked like they were having a wonderful time. I also saw families staying with three generations together—this seems like an excellent choice for family trips. As for me, it was a solo trip for one night, so I treated myself to a full pufferfish Italian course at Otto Sette in the dining room (the aperitif was served on the terrace at sunset before moving into the dining room!). I also enjoyed a relaxing resort stay in a new and comfortable Room while taking in views of the Kanmon Straits. In the morning, I started my walk before dawn along Arukaport Promenade by the sea in front of the Hotel. With cool sea breezes and gradually brightening skies over the Kanmon Straits, I walked past Karato Market to Sister City Plaza at the end of the promenade to watch sunrise. Then I returned along the same path back to the Hotel and joined “Sea Breeze Stretch” on Namunami Terrace with its beautifully kept lawn. After that came an incredible breakfast buffet with so many options it was hard to choose—I enjoyed it right up to my limit. At PUKU PUKU’s breakfast buffet, kawara soba, seafood marinated rice bowls, and French toast are must-haves—go hungry. Even though it was only one night, it felt incredibly fulfilling. I’d love to come back—and now I want to visit other RISONARE properties too. Also, even if you make a Reservation here, it’s convenient that you can log in on their official website using your Reservation Number and arrange meals and activities online in advance.
