The Hotel staff were very kind and attentive. Their service was pleasant and welcoming. The view was amazing, and I had breakfast, which was very delicious. Although it was a bit far from Sasebo Station, it was very convenient because I used the free Shuttle Service bus. The bus driver was also friendly. I would definitely like to stay here again.

I planned to go to Yamanashi to buy grapes and initially looked for a Ryokan, but couldn’t find a suitable one, so we decided to stay at Dormy Inn. We had a twin Room, and since it was an upper-floor corner Room, it was slightly larger than a standard twin. Both the front desk staff and the dining staff were courteous. Breakfast also featured Yamanashi specialties and was delicious. On the morning of the second day, I went to the bath at 5:00 a.m., expecting it wouldn’t be crowded, but five older Asian women took over both the indoor bath and the open-air bath, talking loudly nonstop. They also left towels in the washing area, so I couldn’t relax. I think it would be helpful if guests could be reminded about bath etiquette in advance.

We stayed here the night before going to KidZania. The station is close, and it’s also convenient for getting to other sightseeing spots. It was hot on the day we stayed, and there was a sudden heavy downpour in the evening, but it was great that we could go directly from the hotel to a convenience store and restaurants without getting wet. The staff at check-in were very helpful, and the staff member who guided us early in the morning on the way to KidZania was also excellent. We would definitely like to stay here again.

After sightseeing in Arashiyama, we got off at Torokko Kameoka Station (from Torokko Saga-Arashiyama Station). Then we transferred from nearby JR Mabori Station to JR Kameoka Station, and the Hotel was right in front of the station. The area around the station was clean and nice, with a new soccer stadium and a Starbucks. The free hot stone spa for women was excellent. It was open late at night, so I could take my time, and my skin felt so soft afterward. It seems the men’s bath also has an open-air bath and a mist sauna. The morning rice balls also felt homemade and were great. It’s not in central Kyoto’s main sightseeing area, but there’s lots of greenery and it feels relaxing. I can see why it has such high ratings.

This was our second stay, following last year. Not only are the location and atmosphere excellent, but the staff’s hospitality was also attentive and truly pleasant. We felt warmly welcomed and were able to relax. In addition, the lounge is very convenient, and there is also a shuttle service to the hot springs (reservation required). Highly recommended.

We chose the Anniversary Plan as it coincided with my husband’s five-year service refresh leave and the month of our wedding anniversary. On this Hakone trip, we used the free pass and hadn’t realized the hotel was on higher ground, so we quickly arranged a taxi to get there. After the hassle of getting there, I briefly wondered if we’d chosen the wrong place—but that concern disappeared as soon as we arrived. From the large lobby windows, we had a clear view of Lake Ashi, and it was immediately obvious this is a hotel with an outstanding view—scenery you can only get from an elevated location. Our room’s balcony also faced Lake Ashi and had a comfortable table set and an open-air bath. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, so we made coffee right away and enjoyed it on the balcony with the complimentary fruit while relaxing together and taking in the lake view. There were two types of coffee. I appreciated that one was decaf—perfect for evening so caffeine wouldn’t affect sleep—while in the morning there was a richer option to help you wake up. It felt very thoughtful. The bathing setup was also excellent: there was an indoor shower room, so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold while washing up, and then we could simply enjoy soaking in the open-air bath out on the scenic balcony. The hot spring water felt wonderful; I soaked many times and my skin felt silky smooth. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but especially memorable was the meat: thick yet incredibly tender, with enough fat to be flavorful while still tasting light. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had meat that good before. The tableware was also beautifully chosen throughout, making each course visually enjoyable as well. The staff were all polite and attentive. One newer staff member seemed possibly mixed heritage; her explanations were sometimes a little hard to catch, but her sincere effort came through clearly and left a great impression. Although we only told them about our anniversary on check-in day, they not only prepared a celebratory message plate but also took photos for us at short notice and presented them to us at breakfast the next morning—it became a wonderful keepsake. The next morning, lake fog covered all of Lake Ashi’s surface, creating an incredibly beautiful, dreamlike scene. We made coffee again in our room and enjoyed it together on the balcony—it truly felt like a luxurious time.

Having a public bath was great for relieving fatigue. The staff greeted us warmly and pleasantly. Breakfast was also delicious.

I stayed for two nights and had a very comfortable stay. I had breakfast on the second morning, and I was glad to be able to enjoy Hokkaido specialties such as hokke (Atka mackerel) and ramen. It’s close to the station, has a large public bath, and is reasonably priced, so I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed here on a family trip to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. The room was more than spacious enough, and the furnishings were lovely. The in-room bath was also very large, and with the windows wide open it felt like an open-air bath, so we could soak and relax at our leisure. The food was delicious across the board, but the salt-grilled ayu (sweetfish) and the wagyu beef fillet cutlet were especially outstanding. One member of our party has allergies, and they asked for details in advance and prepared alternative dishes for the items concerned, so we could dine with peace of mind. After letting them know about the birthday celebration, they were very considerate regarding both the dining setting and menu, and staff members also offered congratulatory words—my husband looked truly happy. We were able to unwind completely throughout our stay, making it a wonderful celebration. Thank you very much to all of the staff.

Close to the station, the Room has a front-loading washer-dryer and a large desk, so it was very convenient. I would stay again if I come to the area. The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful. Thank you.

A last-minute trip to Izu came up, and we stayed for two nights. We were extremely satisfied with the hospitality that far exceeded our expectations, the well-trained staff, the clean Room, and the delicious meals. Since we stayed in a Room with an open-air Onsen bath, we did not use the public bath, but everything was well maintained and it was a very satisfying trip. We will visit again.

We were completely satisfied with everything. The local fish deluxe course meal was especially outstandingly delicious! Thank you very much.

I’d heard the rumors, and they were true: the setting, hospitality, and cuisine were all outstanding. I’ve always felt that the Tokugawa family helped shape the foundations of Japanese culture, and Shiraisi-ya is said to be an even older establishment with over 300 years of history. I felt as though I experienced the secret to its longevity firsthand. I’d gladly recommend it to friends.

The location is practically Tenjin (nearest station: Akasaka), making it convenient not only for the office district around Nakasu and Hakata, but also for shopping areas like Tenjin and Yakuin, as well as academic neighborhoods such as Nishijin. Whenever I end up staying in Fukuoka on short notice, I always rely on this Accommodation. My stays in Fukuoka are usually packed and physically demanding, but it’s reassuring that there are Rooms with separate bath and toilet and a bathtub where you can stretch out your legs. On top of that, the 12:00 checkout Plan is available, so I can comfortably stay out late entertaining clients. That said, I oversleep every time and still haven’t made it to breakfast—but that’s just part of the charm. Next time I stay, I plan to fully enjoy breakfast as well.

After laughing at Toyokan for my friend’s birthday, we stayed here to relax. They even prepared a birthday gift for us—thank you very much. In the evening, we spent time in the lounge on the 10th floor while enjoying Japanese sweets. The bathroom was separate from the toilet, so we could use it comfortably without worry. We had breakfast at View Hotel. It was a very satisfying stay, and my friend was delighted.

This hotel is great. Last time, we mainly visited the terraced rice fields, the castle ruins, and Nunobiki Falls; this time, we went to Kumano Hongu Taisha and Tamaki Shrine. In any case, it’s very convenient for getting anywhere. On the way there we pass through Totsukawa Village, and on the way back we head toward Owase via the area around Onigajo for some fishing before taking the Meihan Expressway home. You can enjoy both mountains and sea. The Kitayama River flows right in front of the hotel. Early in the morning, when I went out for a walk, I saw lots of fish jumping. At night you can hear insects chirping all night long. There’s no game corner or karaoke-style facilities, but it’s an ideal hotel for a quiet stay. Of course, I’d happily stay here a third time as well.

I often choose JR-affiliated hotels for their convenient locations near stations. After enjoying the Blossom in Oita, I stayed here on a business trip to Hakata. Of the three options, I chose the Premier with the HAKATA Floor, which includes access to the top-floor lounge. While there isn’t a full food service like you’d find in a typical city hotel lounge, it was very convenient and easy to use for me—such as having matcha prepared as a welcome drink and being able to use it for extended hours. It was also fun that they offered a variety of local sweets, and the sweets provided in the room were delicious as well. I rated the facilities 4 points only because the large public bath happened to be crowded and I couldn’t fully relax—not really the hotel’s fault—but I thought it would be nice if there were a system to check restaurant and bath crowd levels from the room (as is sometimes available). (The in-room bath had a lovely woody aroma—I should have used that instead.) Breakfast on the 2nd floor made it easy to adjust portion sizes, and with comfortable sofa seating, I enjoyed an unhurried morning. There are plenty of dinner options nearby, and it felt like a safe area to go out alone at night.

I stayed here on a business trip to Okinawa. Regarding the multi-story parking garage operations that others had mentioned, the staff explained everything carefully, and I was able to park without any stress. It would be even better if there were a space near the entrance of the garage where guests could temporarily place their luggage. The front desk staff at check-in were professional; although they were from overseas, communication was not an issue. The Room was very spacious for one person, as this is a condo-style Hotel (in a good way). There were many features that highlighted the benefits of a hotel condo, such as a large refrigerator, a comfortable sofa, and a spacious vanity area. The view of American Village from the lanai was also wonderful. Staying just one night felt like a waste—I think this Hotel is ideal for families planning a Multiple Night Stay. I’ll stay here with my family next time!

This Accommodation is a day-use Onsen Facility with lodging, overlooking the satoyama landscape of Okuizumo. Thank you for letting us stay at a very reasonable rate as part of the “Special Room Grand Reopening Commemorative” offer. The Room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator was well stocked with complimentary drinks such as beer, chu-hi, sake, and tea. There was also a coffee machine with plenty of coffee beans provided—perfect for coffee lovers. The open-air bath is not very open, but it is free-flowing from the source. However, since the source temperature is low at 29°C, it was disappointing that hot water needs to be added. Because it was hot in July, we mostly bathed using the source water as-is. When I returned to the air-conditioned Room I felt chilly at first, but afterward my body warmed up from the core. The large public bath was far from the Special Room, but I still went three times. I noticed a slight chlorine smell, but it was nicely warm. It would be ideal if the in-room bath’s spring water could be heated. For dinner we had the top-tier “Matsu Kaiseki” at a table in the restaurant. At this great price (50,000 yen), we were fully satisfied; however, if it were priced at 70,000–80,000 yen or more for two people, I think more creativity would be needed both in the dining setting and in the meal content. As of writing this Review on IKYU.com , it seems that Special Rooms are not currently being sold there. We were glad to enjoy beautiful satoyama views with no solar panels or anything else in sight from this Accommodation. All staff served us with warm smiles and pleasant hospitality. I also appreciated that most staff were local Japanese rather than foreign workers. We support hardworking Japanese Ryokan like yours. If charging regular rates, we hope you will consider adding one more step of “specialness” worthy of a Special Room. We would love to stay again.

Free on-site surface parking. A gas station is nearby; McDonald’s and the Valor supermarket are next door; Sukiya is across the road; and Takoman (a local confectionery) is just opposite. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff’s warm smiles make you feel at ease. Even the housekeeping team greets you with a smile, not just the front desk, which is very pleasant. The large public bath has long opening hours, feels very clean, and is spacious. When I asked to have the air purifier replaced, they brought one right away. They also kindly explained that what I thought was dirt wasn’t actually dirt (they were considerate so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed). I didn’t catch their name, but thank you for your help despite being busy. It was so good that I extended my stay to a Multiple Night Stay.
