I knew it had great reviews, but whenever I visited Kagoshima I kept staying at my usual hotel. This time, the trip was all about fully enjoying Tenmonkan. Prioritizing convenience, I stayed here for the first time—and regretted not doing so sooner because it’s unbelievably convenient! Not only is it perfectly located for Tenmonkan’s restaurants and shopping, but the city sightseeing loop bus stop is right in front of the hotel entrance, and buses to other regions also depart from nearby—everything is simply easy and convenient. The hotel is new and spotless, the rooms are spacious enough, and the amenity bar in front of the front desk is well stocked—there was nothing to fault.

There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, but the area is not crowded and there is no noise. It feels like it is located in a pleasant, livable town. The Room was clean and very comfortable, and I wanted to stay again right away. I left something behind in the Room and contacted them, and they responded kindly. The staff were all wonderful.

We stayed here on a family trip to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. The room was more than spacious enough, and the furnishings were lovely. The in-room bath was also very large, and with the windows wide open it felt like an open-air bath, so we could soak and relax at our leisure. The food was delicious across the board, but the salt-grilled ayu (sweetfish) and the wagyu beef fillet cutlet were especially outstanding. One member of our party has allergies, and they asked for details in advance and prepared alternative dishes for the items concerned, so we could dine with peace of mind. After letting them know about the birthday celebration, they were very considerate regarding both the dining setting and menu, and staff members also offered congratulatory words—my husband looked truly happy. We were able to unwind completely throughout our stay, making it a wonderful celebration. Thank you very much to all of the staff.

I stayed here with my mother and nephew on a trip for three. We were able to relax in a separate Room, and we could also borrow colorful yukata. This trip was to help cheer up my mother before she begins medical treatment, so it was truly wonderful. Breakfast was gently seasoned, and it seemed my mother was able to enjoy plenty of it as well. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed at Yufuin Sansuikan, and everything—from the Onsen and meals to the all-inclusive service—was absolutely satisfying! The Onsen water was silky and gentle, kind to the skin, and incredibly relaxing. Dinner was buffet-style, so our international guests could freely choose whatever they liked and enjoy it. Every dish was delicious, with so many tempting options that I ended up eating too much. The Oita Wagyu steak in particular was outstanding. Another highlight was the all-inclusive service, which allowed us to enjoy complimentary drinks—including alcohol—from check-in through dinner. Above all, thanks to the warm hospitality of the president and the proprietress, we were able to spend a truly enjoyable and memorable time. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would love to visit again.

Starting with the welcome drink, the indoor Onsen bath and open-air bath were clean and wonderful. Dinner and breakfast were so plentiful we couldn’t finish everything. The soft-serve ice cream service, morning pancakes, and drip coffee were excellent. The nail corner and massages were also very popular with the women in our group. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. We were touched by everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness.\nIt was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much. We hope to visit again someday.

This was my first stay at NIPPONIA Chichibu Monzenmachi, and I stayed in Room 102 of the MARUJU building. Room 102 is a maisonette-style guest room created by converting an entire kura storehouse, so I had been genuinely excited even before arriving. When I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and excellent service from the staff, and check-in included learning about the property’s history and unique features. I was then shown to Room 102. The door wasn’t new—it was the original one from when it was a storehouse—so I felt excited even before stepping inside. As soon as I opened it with high expectations, I found myself in a truly unique, extraordinary space. With an open atrium ceiling, the first floor is a living area; climbing the original ladder from its storehouse days brings you to the second-floor bedroom. It’s such a spacious layout that it feels like two rooms across two levels. The room preserves as much of the original beams and walls as possible, beautifully blending past and present into a nostalgic atmosphere. The hinoki cypress bath I had been looking forward to was larger—and deeper—than expected. Even before filling it, the pleasant scent of hinoki filled the bathroom; once hot water was added, the fragrance became even richer, making it wonderfully relaxing even without hot-spring water. Dinner—something I had been eagerly anticipating—was truly delicious from appetizers to main course to dessert. You could also feel great attention to detail in both presentation and tableware. The course featured plenty of local ingredients; while venison and river fish were outstanding as expected, what surprised me most were the creative ways they brought out the flavor of local vegetables and how impressive each sauce tasted. It’s hard to describe from appetizer through main course, but none of the dishes tasted like what you might imagine just by looking at them—instead each bite came with a delightful surprise. Breakfast offered a complete change of pace: traditional Japanese cuisine. The assortment of small side dishes with varied flavors and an old-fashioned miso soup were exceptional. As an old folk-house style hotel, it delivered nostalgia in abundance while remaining impeccably clean. Combined with wonderful food and hospitality-filled staff service, it made for an extremely satisfying trip to Chichibu.

The location was convenient, with easy access from the station, making it ideal for sightseeing and getting around. The Room was clean and comfortable, allowing me to relax and unwind. The staff were courteous and attentive, which made me feel at ease throughout my stay. It was a comfortable Hotel, and I would like to stay here again when I visit Hamamatsu. Thank you very much!!

I stayed here four years ago and came back because I was craving soba. The Onsen water still has that silky feel, and it’s as wonderful as ever. This time I enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay and was able to truly relax. The soup curry at breakfast was also delicious, so I bought soba dipping sauce and packaged curry as souvenirs. We laughed remembering how last time we wondered, “Can we get through this way?” and then had to turn back from a dead-end road—classic Hokkaido travel. It really reminded me that eastern Hokkaido has great Onsen Accommodations. I’d love to come again.

I chose this Hotel because the Reviews were good, and they were absolutely right. In a business-style Hotel, it’s often difficult for the staff to meet every individual request, but this Hotel is excellent in that it anticipates anything guests might struggle with or wish they had—and has everything prepared. It’s basically self-service, but there’s a microwave in the hallway, the ice machine is a solid commercial-grade unit, and they provide a case so you won’t lose your Room key and breakfast voucher. The Room also has spare disposable slippers in addition to regular slippers, extra bath towels are available near the elevator, and overall they really focus on what guests would think “it would be nice to have.” Of course, the service at check-in was polite and attentive. The welcome drink service is self-serve so you can use it without feeling awkward, and breakfast feels truly homemade—highly recommended.

I stayed here with my son when he was still little, more than ten years ago. I still remember how convenient the washing area was and how fun it was to have okonomiyaki for breakfast. This time, since it was close to the venue for a concert my son wanted to attend, we chose it without hesitation and enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay. Just as I remembered, the atmosphere was bright and welcoming, and all the staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with items like deep-fried momiji manju, and we were able to make more wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

I stayed here for one night during the May holiday period. The room was very clean, which was great. From the 15th floor, I could only catch a brief view of the Northern Alps in the evening and early morning, but if I’m lucky enough to get clear weather next time, it would be an outstanding stay. Breakfast was delicious as well—these days many Hotels seem to be putting more effort into their food, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, this is a highly rated Hotel. I hear it will relaunch this autumn as an international luxury Hotel brand, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

I stayed one summer night at Hotel Awina Osaka. For dinner, I bought my favorite ingredients at a great price in the basement food floor of the Kintetsu Uehommachi Department Store right before closing, and ate them in my Room. I was very satisfied. The large public bath on the 5th floor was crowded with about three families with small children, but the pleasantly warm water was nice. The bed was comfortably firm. What I especially liked was breakfast. I made a Reservation in advance. The selection was plentiful and everything tasted great. Breakfast started at 7:00, and I selfishly wished it could start a little earlier—but I know preparing it must be a lot of work. Thank you for a wonderful time.

It was a relaxing stay, and the views were wonderful. We were able to take our time and feel refreshed.

I was able to relax deeply in the Japanese-style Room. The indoor bath and open-air bath in the Room were wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the staff were very pleasant—overall, it was a highly satisfying stay.

I had a very comfortable stay! There were a few minor housekeeping issues, but the Room and the Hotel overall were clean. I was very satisfied with the meals as well! I thought it might be nice to use even more of my favorite Nagano ingredients. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

As we came from Shizuoka, it was a bit far, but we were finally able to visit the Kurokawa Onsen we had long hoped to see. It was everything we expected. The hot springs and the meals were wonderful. The staff were also very considerate in many ways. We would like to come again.
