Before visiting Himakajima, I researched accommodations and found that the reviews were not very favorable, so my expectations were low. However, the staff at the accommodation were all incredibly hospitable, providing exceptional service throughout my stay. While it was not an onsen, the large public bath was spacious and relaxing, offering a similar experience with views of Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay. The sunset from the room was extraordinary—a scene reminiscent of a novel's opening line describing "a magnificent twilight," visible across the peninsula. The only disappointment was hearing that octopus catches have been poor recently. I look forward to visiting again when I have another opportunity.

This Accommodation left a strong impression with its attentive hospitality and warm smiles, and the meals were truly delicious. The tasty, well-balanced dishes were a delight at both dinner and breakfast. If I have the chance to visit Kirishima Onsen again, I would love to stay here again. Both the facility and cleanliness are impeccable. For Kyoto trips, we stay at Fuuga Bettei Shijo Omiya with 3-4 people. It is a comfortable space.

We chose this place at the request of our insect-loving children. The traditional Japanese-style design of the building is calming, and the magnificent Japanese garden is truly impressive. At night, you can enjoy a chorus of frogs, while during the day, various dragonflies and butterflies flutter around the pond. A highlight for us was spotting a kingfisher and ruddy kingfisher on the property—an unforgettable experience in this forested environment that allowed us to relax fully. With a car, supermarkets and convenience stores are just 6–7 minutes away, and attractions like Churaumi Aquarium or Hanasaki Marche are about 15 minutes by car, so we didn’t feel inconvenienced at all. There’s also Mokulele Drive-In Hawaii nearby offering breakfast from early morning—a great option for those planning to enjoy swimming at Sesoko Island or Bise. Aside from weak shower water pressure and some issues with the vacuum cleaner, everything else was perfect. The management company provided prompt and courteous service, making our stay worry-free.

I stayed at the beginning of December. We borrowed a BBQ set to make our own dinner and breakfast, and thanks to the mild winter, we enjoyed it without worrying about the cold! The property was very accommodating, providing everything we thought we might need while cooking. The attention to detail was wonderful. We didn't face any difficulties, it was truly impressive. We cycled around the island, and after sunset, the children enjoyed karaoke. The room had large windows, and we could have a bonfire outdoors right in front, so the adults enjoyed drinks by the fire while keeping an eye on the karaoke. (There was even a portable speaker. It was amazing.) Looking up, there was a sky full of stars. The sunrise was magnificent, and the glass-walled bath where you could soak up the sun was also fantastic. On our way back, we could go down to the sea right in front of the Stays, and the children played by dipping their feet in the water. If I were to give a score, 100 points wouldn't be enough. It was truly the best property. Thank you very much. I definitely want to visit again!!!

I stayed here for the first time last year and had such a relaxing experience that I decided to stay again this year during the same period. Unlike staying at an ordinary hotel, I enjoyed a charming and extraordinary space. The cushions in the living room were so comfortable that I wanted to use them at home all the time! The staff's service was also excellent.

We had a relaxing, unhurried stay with our eldest son’s family, our eldest daughter’s family, and all of our grandchildren. Our daughter is familiar with the place, and my wife and I brought ingredients with us, so we were able to enjoy both dinner and breakfast at a leisurely pace without going out. We also enjoyed the Onsen many times. We would definitely like to stay again.

The scenery, sauna, interior design, and meals were all excellent! I stayed at "Sotetsu," and the view from the balcony was amazing, so I spent a lot of time there. Among the various artists' works on display, I purchased a wooden flower vase. I was pleased that the barbecue delivery service took care of the preparation and cleanup. I would like to use it again next year.

We stayed as a family of three. The spaciousness of the facility was more surprising than we imagined. Since we traveled around various places from Wakkanai, the washing machine was a great help. We prepared dinner with ingredients purchased in Kitami. We used the bath and breakfast services at Kitakobushi. It was nice to spend a quiet weekend. The check-in process was a bit troublesome, and we struggled because the entrance wouldn't open even when we needed to use the restroom. It felt easier to check in at Kitakobushi. We've experienced renting an entire building a few times, but Lantern Shiretoko offered a wonderful space. Thank you for the great experience.

We stayed for one night as a family of four after returning from USJ. First, we checked in around 9 PM, and the floor heating was on, making it warm and very appreciated. The abundance of complimentary welcome sweets, drinks, and amenities made us feel the hospitality, which was delightful. The building is a well-renovated old house, so you can feel traces of the past here and there, but the simple and tasteful design and interior allowed us to have a very pleasant stay. The highlight is the location, about a 5-minute walk to Todai-ji Temple, and you can also see the Great Buddha Hall of Todai-ji from the second floor. The luxury of being able to take a leisurely walk to Todai-ji during the early morning when there are fewer tourists is unique to this place. Overall, we were satisfied, but I would like to mention two points we noticed. The barrel sauna, which we were looking forward to, was quite good, but there was only one wooden bench in the relaxation space, and there were no chairs with backrests or infinity chairs, which seemed like a missed opportunity. Also, we added firewood to the fireplace and lit it with the provided gas burner, but only large logs were available, and since the lid had to remain open while lighting with the burner, smoke filled the room, causing a family member with weak respiratory health to start coughing, so we closed the lid early, and the fire went out midway. It would be nice if kindling-sized wood could also be provided. If these two points could be improved, I believe it would become an even more wonderful Facility.

It became an unforgettable memory. We were completely satisfied with everything. The place was very clean, and you can really feel how dog-first it is. Both the sofa and the bed are low, which made us feel very safe. We usually bring our own steps, but we didn’t need them here. There were no dangerous spots for our dog, so we could truly relax as well. We were so happy watching our dog run around on the lawn. The amenities were easy to use, and everything was stylish—our excitement level went up (lol). The location is also outstanding. The sunset, sunrise, moon, and stars were all beautiful and incredibly soothing. For dinner, we bought Awaji beef at a nearby supermarket and enjoyed a BBQ. The meat was amazing. The BBQ grill was simple to use and worked great. (When you arrive, they explain how to use the Room and amenities.) There is a fireplace in the Room, and you can also stay warm on the terrace, so it seems like it would be wonderful even in autumn and winter. It truly became a fantastic family trip. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

Recently, I stayed at GIFTHOUSE Sunomiya with my beloved dog. The Room was a private villa, offering an exceptional sense of privacy. We could relax without worrying about others and truly felt rejuvenated. The highlight was the wood-burning barrel sauna in the villa's courtyard. My partner and I took turns enjoying the sauna, followed by resting in the outdoor space surrounded by nature. The feeling of unwinding amidst greenery was incredibly refreshing. At night, we relaxed under a starry sky—a luxury you can't experience in everyday life. There was also a dog run where our dog could run freely and seemed to have so much fun. It was great to let our pet play in a completely private space. The villa itself was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and appliances, making it easy to cook meals. We enjoyed BBQs and leisurely breakfasts on the terrace while taking in the view of greenery through the large living room windows—such a lovely touch! Access from the city center wasn't too far either; it took about 90 minutes by car, which added to its appeal. The cost per person was around 30,000 yen, but considering this level of luxury, it felt worth every penny. I’d love to visit again for special occasions or relaxing weekend trips with my pet! We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. Our Room was on the 1st floor and built in a semi-basement style, so the greenery felt refreshing and relaxing. However, staying with a dog comes with a lot of luggage, so carrying everything was a bit tough. We also used a stove guard as a substitute to prevent our dog from dashing out. The Room had a simple, natural vibe and was compact yet tastefully designed. The open-air bath had a pleasant sulfur scent, and we were able to soak and relax. It would be helpful to have a rod for lowering the roll curtain—climbing onto the bench to pull it down feels unsafe. At night, insects are attracted by the light, so we turned off the light while bathing; if you’re not comfortable with that, it’s better to use it in the morning or while it’s still bright. Going from the shower booth through the living area to reach the open-air bath felt slightly awkward (lol). Meals were prepared in an easy-to-manage way, and all seasonings were provided, which was convenient. It was our first time trying this kind of stay and we had a great time. Lastly, taking out the trash was a bit difficult. There was quite a lot of trash left in the bathroom bin as well, so we threw it away together; I think it would be good for guests to check carefully since it’s easy to forget. The value for money was great, and having an 11:00 check-out time was nice. There aren’t many Hotels with such a lovely atmosphere where you can stay with your dog, so I really appreciated that the design didn’t feel different from regular Rooms. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. We were able to spend a relaxing time with our family over the New Year holidays in an amazing location! The beautiful weather made the sunset views even more spectacular. The amenities were excellent, and we enjoyed the sauna, pool as a cold plunge, and even had a family karaoke competition. We would love to stay here again in the future!

As a regular sauna lover, I stayed here looking forward to the wood-burning sauna, and it exceeded my expectations! Being able to do löyly whenever I wanted in the wood-burning sauna, then stepping outside for that icy “wow” moment—it was incredibly fun! Since it was midwinter in Nasu, I was worried about the cold, but after warming up in the sauna, it wasn’t an issue at all. We cooked using the wood stove, chatted while watching the flames, and whenever we got chilly we either soaked in the Onsen or warmed up a bit in the sauna even with our clothes on. Before we knew it, we had spent most of our time outdoors. Being able to enjoy Nasu’s Onsen was a huge plus! It has some of that camping feel, but with proper indoor toilets and showers—so it felt like living in an outdoor living room. It was a nature experience unlike anything I’ve had before. The Room was spotless, and the building design is beautiful. Falling asleep while looking out at the trees and starry sky through the large windows felt truly special. This time I came with friends and had a great time talking around the campfire, but next time I’d love to bring my kids and enjoy it as a family!
