A simple building with a slightly spacious room, including a private bath and toilet. Basic but well cleaned. For a solo male traveler who just wants to take a bath and get some sleep, it’s more than sufficient.

We stayed with our friend's family this time. Nestled beyond a residential area, the accommodation suddenly appeared, surrounded by beautiful nature—what a surprise! This charming accommodation is a renovated warehouse with the pleasant scent of wood. Only the walls were renovated, while everything else retained its original design. The high ceilings, stylish and lovely kitchen, an old movie projector from a vintage cinema, an impressive Nebuta scroll painting, and the serene atmosphere of the bedrooms—all were absolutely perfect. Outside, we enjoyed barbecuing amidst nature and baked bread for breakfast there as well. We also picked summer vegetables like eggplants, tomatoes, and shishito peppers to enjoy for dinner. We were even allowed to do fireworks until 8 PM and took a relaxing bath at nearby Takara Onsen before falling asleep peacefully to the sound of insects at night. Above all else, the hospitality of the owners was exceptional—they kindly explained how to use every part of the facility in detail. Once they finished explaining everything thoroughly, they left us to enjoy our stay freely as if we had this natural home all to ourselves. Thank you so much! Although I initially thought it was slightly expensive for one night’s stay, being able to spend time in such an amazing environment made it worth every penny—a truly unforgettable experience! The little kids had so much fun running around with nets in hand! They loved harvesting vegetables and exploring this traditional house—it was such a fulfilling two-day stay. We will definitely visit again someday. Thank you very much for letting us stay!

I stayed in a second-floor Room at Yamashita Ryokan Annex for three nights starting June 17, but I was surprised to find ants in the toilet on the third night. As a guest, I have serious concerns about the Ryokan’s hygiene management. Please ensure this does not happen again in the future.

We were able to stay at a great price with the Iwate Prefecture Tabiwari discount. Our family of five stayed comfortably in a 12-tatami Room. There was an electric kettle and a large refrigerator, which was very convenient. Nearby, there is a Co-op supermarket just a few minutes away by car, and a FamilyMart convenience store, so even with No Meals Included we had no trouble. Above all, the atmosphere of the Accommodation was wonderful. It has a retro feel, and the nostalgic vibe is very relaxing. The only disappointing point was the shower water pressure. It was unstable and sometimes only trickled out—so little that I couldn’t even rinse my hair. After some time it started flowing strongly again, which was a relief. I’ve heard the meals are delicious too, so next time I’d like to book with meals included. We liked it so much that we’d love to come back! Unlike a Hotel, you take off your shoes at the entrance here, which also feels more hygienic. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Overall, it was very good! Communication with the host was prompt, which made us feel at ease. However, when we opened the living room curtains, we could see straight into the apartment across the way, so it would be nice to have sheer curtains for privacy. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance!

The house was spacious, clean, and wonderful. We exchanged messages on LINE several times before our trip, and the responses were quick and kind, which was great. We also really appreciated being accommodated with an early check-in. Three generations of our family stayed together with our dog, and there were various dog amenities, so we had a great time. The beds were large and made us feel truly pampered. As for the Facility, it was a bit disappointing that dogs are not allowed in the Japanese-style room, so we ended up not being able to relax there. It would be nice to have a hook near the entrance to hang a dog leash. It would also be helpful to have a few more terrace chairs (folding chairs would be fine). (If there were some already but we just didn’t notice them, we’d love to have a guide/map.) Because the place is so spacious, we often found ourselves searching for which light switch controlled what. Also, since the bathtub faucet is on the opposite side from where the door opens, it was slightly inconvenient. But overall, it was such a lovely place that these points didn’t bother us much—we all enjoyed our stay as a family!

The location was excellent, and I had a very comfortable stay. It would be perfect if there was a TV. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kamakura.

The hostess was incredibly kind and engaging, which made us very happy! Thank you for chatting with us so warmly and cheerfully! The room had a retro and charming atmosphere, complete with records that delighted my friend who loves vinyl. This accommodation is simple and not the type to offer luxury, but its simplicity was incredibly comforting. Staying in this traditional house was an exciting experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! As for the meals, they were filled with fresh vegetables, freshwater fish, mackerel, meat, and fermented foods—all of which were absolutely delicious! The breakfast salad and jam were also amazing. It was a meal that truly revitalized our bodies! We had such a wonderful time enjoying delicious food that we definitely want to visit again!

It was quiet, and the staff were kind. The place was well cleaned and very tidy. Buying groceries as a family and enjoying a meal in a different living room than usual was fun. What concerned me was that the washing machine lid seemed to have poor contact, so it wouldn’t go through to the spin cycle, and the living room air conditioner remote had dead batteries.

It was a very clean and wonderful place! They also prepared everything for the BBQ, so we had a great time. Thank you!

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve stuck to buffet-only meals and just picked what I like, but this time we had a traditional Ryokan dinner. It was wonderful. I used to think kaiseki often includes many dishes you could do without, but everything was delicious. The Room was exactly what you’d expect for the price, and it was kept very clean. Best of all were the Onsen baths available 24 hours a day and the staff’s hospitality. Their thoughtful attention goes above and beyond in every detail and makes you feel truly comfortable. My wife isn’t fond of large public baths, but she loved being able to use the bath at any time during our stay (with a maximum of 12 Rooms), so she went many times when she thought she could have it to herself and was very satisfied. We were also extremely pleased with the staff’s considerate service throughout our stay.

The interior is pension-style, and the guest rooms are Japanese-style with futons. Both dinner and breakfast are self-service with rice and miso soup, and the food is delicious. Enjoy a view of Lake Inawashiro from the balcony. It was such a comfortable accommodation.

About an 8-minute walk from JR Futamiura Station, it was helpful to store luggage in the locker before check-in. The compact capsule Room has a desk space by the pillow and a changing area outside the Room. Lounge wear is available for rent, and you can relax in the shared lounge. The shower and bedding are clean, ensuring a good night's sleep to recover from fatigue. There is also a convenience store nearby. I would love to stay here again. Thank you!

The proprietress and all the staff were kind, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with satisfying portions. The abalone at dinner and the dried fish at breakfast were especially tasty! Unfortunately, we didn’t use the private bath this time because it felt like too much of a hassle to go there, but the in-room bath was more than enough. If I had to mention one thing, I wanted to go for an early-morning walk to fully enjoy wonderful Matsuzaki Town, but the doors were locked for security so I couldn’t go out. I also understand that having staff on duty from early morning may not be practical, and every Accommodation has its own style, so that’s completely fine. It’s truly a wonderful setting, and I’d love to stay again.

We were very satisfied. The exterior looks old, but the inside has been renovated and was clean. We stayed as a family of six, and since our kids can be noisy, we were looking for a whole house rather than a Hotel—this place was perfect!! Google Maps didn’t lead us there easily, so it’s clearer to set the destination to the shop shown in the video sent in advance. The stairs felt a bit scary to go up and down, and the living room was small, but it really helped that we could do laundry and there was also a dryer. Since we were in Yokohama with kids, we couldn’t explore as much as we wanted, so we’d love to stay again when we visit Yokohama! The Accommodation is located inside Yokohama Chinatown. Yamashita Park, convenience stores, supermarkets, and (I think) Marine Tower were all within walking distance! Thank you very much!

We stayed here as a couple. There were plenty of Rooms, everything was clean, and the kitchenware was well stocked. When we mentioned we wanted to take a sightseeing boat tour around the waterways, they kindly drove us there, which was a huge help. On top of that, we received a discount on the boat fare through their referral—thank you so much! The only downside was that the bathroom was small and there was no reheating function for the bathwater, so we had to deduct a star.

Thank you for providing so many amenities and little items to enjoy during free time, and for your thoughtful attention to every detail! I love nature, which made it an even more wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much!
