Not only the building itself, but also the hanging scrolls and other details in the Room were wonderful, allowing us to spend a relaxing time while appreciating art and culture. As we stayed on a weekday, I mentioned at check-in that I was interested in the building, and the Accommodation staff kindly showed us several of Meijikan’s highlight Rooms. My parents and I were very satisfied. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. The in-room dining was also excellent, including freshly cooked white rice prepared right in front of us and abalone with a tender bite. We will visit again.

It was two days full of surprise and inspiration. I only knew it was a museum Hotel, and to be honest, I came mainly for Briance—but it truly felt like an actual museum. Even while exploring the building, the staff kindly provided detailed explanations, which made it even more enjoyable. Every piece is one of a kind, and through the art tour program we also received in-depth commentary. I understood why so many guests return again and again, and it made me want to explore even more myself. The Room was very comfortable and easy to use, the lounge food was delicious, and even though we had dinner at Briance—the original purpose of our visit—we ended up fully enjoying the bar and lounge as well. The wonderful smiles and thoughtful hospitality from all the staff were outstanding, allowing us to spend a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you very much. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed Briance as well.

We were a family of five and had booked the Touji building, but thank you for arranging a nearby Room for us. The toilet was a bit far, which was slightly inconvenient, but considering the price, it didn’t bother us at all. The meals were more luxurious and delicious than we expected. The staff in the lobby were also kind and helpful, which made us feel at ease. The Onsen, of course, left our skin feeling smooth, so it was well worth traveling all this way.

The staff were very kind and helpful, which made our stay wonderful. With this Plan, we were able to use the private bath free of charge. Since there are only a few guest rooms, we enjoyed a calm, relaxing atmosphere where we could clearly hear the sound of the clear stream. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

We stayed in the Silver Building. As it is a new facility, everything felt very clean, and we had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The facilities and amenities were well equipped, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The bathroom and kitchen were easy to use, and we remained comfortable even spending long hours indoors. Although it rained during our stay, we never felt inconvenienced thanks to the washer-dryer and the covered terrace where we could enjoy a BBQ. Our dog also settled in quickly, which gave us peace of mind. The staff were very kind as well, making our stay even more pleasant. We would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed in a Room with a private Onsen. We also used the large public bath, and since there are only a few Rooms, we were able to enjoy it privately. I couldn’t tell the difference between the two hot spring sources, but the water was soft and the temperature was just right. In any case, the garden is wonderful. Although Tendo Onsen is located in town, it’s in a calm setting where you can hear cicadas. And the food is outstanding—no typical “just to increase the number of dishes” meals; instead, you can enjoy local and seasonal ingredients prepared with care and served with refined flavors. They also have an excellent selection of Dewazakura sake. I stay at various Accommodations for work, and among those that fit our budget and lifestyle, this is one of the very best. We’d love to stay again.

Just as when I stayed before COVID, I was able to enjoy a wonderful time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Unfortunately, it was raining when I arrived, but the staff dried my wet umbrella and delivered it to my room. The free-flowing hinoki bath is surrounded by greenery, and the silky-smooth water refreshes both body and mind. At Nichols Bar, I enjoyed a cocktail made with locally grown kabosu—it was wonderfully refreshing. For breakfast, I also enjoyed plenty of ingredients unique to Yufuin. Thank you for taking such great care of me.

Located northeast of the Shirakami-Sanchi mountains, Nikkei Onsen sits not far off National Route 7 from Odate. Beyond the romance of a secluded hot-spring inn surrounded by abundant nature, the quality of its waters is among the best in Akita. Two different sources are fed directly to the indoor bath and the open-air bath, each with distinct characteristics. The indoor bath is a sulfur-containing chloride spring with a notably high free hydrogen sulfide content of 15.3 mg/kg, so as you approach you’re enveloped in that unmistakable sulfur aroma. The bathing temperature is set at 41°C, and despite expectations it is neutral but slightly on the acidic side, making it comfortable to soak in. There are also two private baths available for exclusive use, and at the large public bath these can also be enjoyed as reclining baths. The open-air bath is even richer in minerals than the indoor bath: total dissolved solids reach 20.26 g/kg (6.955 g/kg for the indoor bath), giving it an impressively concentrated feel—both in scent and on the skin—like a true medicinal spring. Among the private baths, Urugeru Yukko and Takimi Yukko are spacious; Takimi Yukko even features a luxurious reclining area. All of these springs contain abundant metasilicic acid and metaboric acid, which are said to be beneficial for skin—making it easy to understand why they have been loved for so long. Being able to savor such exceptional waters amid vast natural surroundings is an experience unique to Nikkei Onsen. That said, during summer the open-air area may be covered with vinyl sheets or similar materials to keep horseflies away, which slightly reduces the view—but it’s understandable. The rooms are retro Japanese-Western style accommodations that evoke Japan’s Showa era—not “retro” as an excuse for being outdated. While there’s a nostalgic feel in its design and furnishings, the walls, floors, and beds were clean enough that I could relax comfortably throughout my stay. The meals were delicious Japanese cuisine incorporating local specialties. As someone in my twenties I did find it slightly light for my appetite, but dining isn’t really what this inn is about so it didn’t bother me much. Still—as other reviews mention—there was almost no explanation of each dish, which was honestly disappointing. This is an inn I want to visit again—one of those rare hot-spring retreats where you hope it stays just as it is even if getting there takes a bit of effort.

The hot springs were wonderful. My skin felt silky-smooth in the water. The samue loungewear was great, with elastic at the wrists and ankles, and the fabric felt gentle on the skin. Even though the hotel was fully booked, I was able to enjoy the large public bath as if it were private. The open-air bath in the room was also spacious, and I imagine it must be stunning during cherry blossom or hydrangea season—though it may be hard to get a reservation because it’s so popular. The meals were all delicious as well, including corn soup, cheese chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), Jerusalem artichoke chips, and mukago (wild yam bulbils). I found an inn I would truly love to visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Our first trip to Shimane and Tottori as a couple. It was also our first time at Misasa Onsen. And our first stay at Ryokan Ohashi. Throughout our stay, we were able to relax at a leisurely pace, and it has become an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. The service was flawless, and since there happened to be few guests staying that day, we felt lucky to have the chance to chat and learn more about the place. The meals were also impeccable—abalone, Wagyu beef, a wide variety of dishes, and above all, you could really feel their commitment to quality ingredients. That alone would have been more than enough, but the Onsen was on another level: the rock baths (Upper Bath, Middle Bath, Lower Bath), the open-air bath on the opposite side—this radium spring truly warms you through and through and feels effective for therapeutic bathing as well. We were told that crab dishes in the colder season paired with this radium spring are even more highly recommended, so we’re already looking forward to it.

I sincerely apologize for the great inconvenience caused by my carelessness. Despite that, thank you very much for your generous and understanding response. Thanks to you, the wonderful scenery of Kamikochi and the milky-white waters of Shirahone Onsen have left a vivid and lasting memory. From the courteous explanations when we were shown to our room and served our meals, to every encounter with your staff—who would stop to bow and kindly speak to us—your hospitality was truly first-class. Once again, thank you very much.

This was my first stay. I visit Osaka every 2–3 months, and this hotel provided an outstanding experience in every way. Check-in was smooth, and the amenities were the most extensive I’ve ever seen. Since I take baths more than three times a day, the complimentary bath salts, bath towels, and hand towels were especially appreciated. The 24-hour free drink bar and complimentary alcohol meant there was no need to stop by a convenience store. The free popcorn, chocolate snacks, and candies were also a delightful touch. The room had a smart TV, delicious bottled water in the fridge, and even a microwave in each room. The bathroom and toilet are separate, making it very comfortable. There’s also a jet bath and a TV in the bathroom. There were plenty of amenities inside the room as well—ones I didn’t use myself but would be great for women. With complimentary breakfast service, late-night noodles in the evening, and afternoon tea in the afternoon, there were so many wonderful services included. With prices rising everywhere these days, I almost felt sorry paying this rate for such great value. Every staff member showed exceptional hospitality—I was completely satisfied. The location is excellent as well: Namba Station on the subway line(s), JR Namba Station, and Nankai Namba Station are all within about five minutes’ walk. This is a fantastic hotel that I can confidently recommend to others. It’s definitely a hotel I want to stay at again whenever I’m in Osaka. Thank you very much.

The room was very nice, and the spa and view were excellent.

I booked a one-night stay with breakfast included. Both the room and the baths were very clean. Even though the baths are available 24 hours a day, they were impeccably maintained, which really impressed me. I used the open-air bath and the hinoki bath, and they were wonderful. Skincare items and makeup remover were also provided. Breakfast was delicious as well. Since it’s easy for meals to become unbalanced while traveling, I really appreciated a vegetable-rich breakfast. One of my companions was celebrating a birthday, so I requested a dessert plate, and they prepared a truly lovely one. The staff were very kind, and it was a pension with outstanding hospitality. Thanks to staying here, our trip to Nasu became even more enjoyable. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

At IKYU, it was categorized as casual, but we enjoyed a luxurious Onsen experience that felt like staying at a private villa. The Room had a spacious washroom, and the toilet being separate was also convenient. The heater in the Room was turned on in advance, so we stayed warm without needing to use the air conditioner. Various thoughtful touches were noticeable throughout, and I heard that adjustments are made regularly. It had such a pleasant atmosphere that made us wish to stay longer. Here are some points of concern: It would be helpful if spare foot mats were provided for the private bath so they can be replaced after use. The abundance of wash towels was very convenient. A single fresh flower in the Room would add charm since there were flowers in the dining area. During meal service, providing more details about local ingredients or cooking methods would be appreciated by travelers—it may require extra effort from staff but makes for enjoyable conversations while savoring meals. Having a menu list would also enhance the dining experience further.

The female staff member at reception during check-in impressed me with her proactive, exemplary hospitality. I stay at Hotels for a change of pace, and this Hotel made me feel at ease in every way—facilities, staff, and overall comfort—with no small discomforts. It was part of the Plan, but I gladly took them up on it and stayed for 24 hours. At reception, they said, “Please let us know if there is anything you need,” showing a positive attitude. At the restaurant as well: “Please relax and enjoy your stay.” They even asked, “Did you sleep well?” You don’t often hear that elsewhere. It had been a while since I stayed at a major international chain Hotel, and their training truly showed. The Room design is also charming. I can see why it’s popular with guests from both Japan and abroad.

It was a wonderful villa. Mount Fuji was right in front of us, and we could see it clearly thanks to the great weather! The meals were all delicious, and we were very satisfied! We brought our dog along, and they had so much fun playing around. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

There were no people or buildings nearby, so our family was able to relax and enjoy ourselves freely. Our dogs, who aren’t comfortable around strangers or other dogs, were also able to unwind, which was wonderful. Changing slippers when going out into the garden and coming back inside was a bit of a hassle, but aside from that we were completely satisfied. The amenities were well stocked as well. We’d love to stay again.

I truly enjoyed Kanazawa’s cuisine from the bottom of my heart. I learned so much—about Kanazawa’s culture and local ingredients. This is purely my personal impression, but I felt that the guest rooms, dining, and hospitality were on par with the luxury Hotels I have stayed at in Japan and abroad, such as Aman, Bulgari, Okura, and Palace.

Everything was excellent. Thank you for accommodating my allergies at both breakfast and dinner. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and I truly enjoyed the food. The Room was clean, and being able to smoke on the terrace made my stay very comfortable. The staff were all very kind and attentive, and the private open-air bath with its spectacular view as well as the in-Room open-air bath were incredibly relaxing—making it a wonderful holiday.
