I’d been looking forward to the opening of La Vista Minami Aso and stayed during the pre-opening period. The previous Hotel also offered a magnificent, expansive view of Mt. Aso, and while that scenery remains unchanged, the interiors and Facility have been completely renewed. I was able to fully enjoy Aso in comfort—from the spacious lobby and Room to the baths. A few small notes: For the welcome drink in the lobby after check-in, I had coffee, but it would be even better if beer were available earlier (not only from 6:00 p.m.) and if decaf coffee were offered. As for dining, dinner was a La Vista–style course meal and breakfast was a buffet. Both featured many ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture, and everything was delicious. I’d be happy if the breakfast buffet had a slightly wider dessert selection. The baths were wonderful as well—great views of Aso from the large public bath, plus private baths and a sauna. The post-bath ice cream and massage chairs were also a nice touch. It was disappointing that the probiotic milk drinks (Yakult) ran out quickly during my morning bath. The late-night ramen service common to Kyoritsu Resort was delicious (if I may be indulgent, I’d love it if there were two varieties like in Kirishima). Since it was during the pre-opening period, there may have been some areas where staff were still getting used to things; however, their sincere effort really came through. Wishing you all the best toward the grand opening. I’d love to stay again.

Hakuba Happo Onsen is located at the western edge of the Fossa Magna, and its rare mineral composition—due to exposed serpentinite—is said to be unusual in Japan. As it was the off-season (summer), I was able to relax and enjoy the large public bath on my own. Dinner was authentic French cuisine, and breakfast featured galettes. The one-night Plan with dinner and breakfast for one person, priced just under 20,000 yen, felt both luxurious and great value. In winter, many international skiers visit, so Hakuba may have plenty of Hotels and lodges where you can enjoy excellent meals. The Accommodation owner kindly came to pick me up at Hakuba Station even for a single guest. While being served by a wonderful madam during dinner, I enjoyed Nagano-produced wine. The Hotel itself is quite old, but even taking that into account, it was a very good-value stay. It was also conveniently located—about 1–2 hours by bus or train—to Nagano, Matsumoto, and Itoigawa Station on the Sea of Japan side along the Itoigawa–Shizuoka Tectonic Line. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The meals were absolutely delicious! This is an accommodation I would love to visit again.

This was my second stay. I stayed in a different Room than last time, and the selection of books was different too, which I really enjoyed. The food was delicious, and the bookstore at night was just as fun as before! The only downside was that I could clearly hear other Rooms’ doors opening and closing, which woke me up at night. I’d love to stay again sometime!

We originally planned a stay with No Meals Included, but we were able to reserve breakfast at the 1st-floor café. It was delicious and really helpful. The Room was clean and stylish, and also designed so our family of four could relax comfortably. (Our kids even took photos saying they want to live in a place like this someday.) The mountain resort we came for was right in front of us. There were several Onsen nearby, and we used the one next door. It had a sauna and was great, but the shampoo there was an all-in-one type that left our hair quite squeaky. The shampoo provided in the Room shower was excellent, so I washed my hair again after returning to the Room. When we come back to Hakuba, we will definitely stay here again. All the staff were wonderful as well. Thank you for an amazing time.

Once again, I had a relaxing and comforting stay. The view from the large window, the warm personality of the host, and the thoughtful details in the room make this accommodation flawless. I travel to Okinawa just to spend time here. Thank you very much.

The view, Facilities, location, and cleanliness were all excellent. We really appreciated the thoughtful items prepared in the Room—it felt very considerate. Since we did a workcation, it was also great that housekeeping didn’t come in and there was a vacuum; we could clean ourselves whenever we wanted without worrying about timing. Things we were glad to have: - Vacuum cleaner - Rice cooker - Electric kettle - Washing machine, dryer, detergent - Plastic wrap - Dish soap and sponge - Separate trash bins for sorting and extra plastic bags - A sufficiently large refrigerator - Microwave - Dishes, cutlery, pots, frying pan, scissors, knife, cutting board, dish rack/drainer basket, spatula/turner, ladle, whisker/frother tool?, bottle opener (etc.) - Shampoo, conditioner, body soap - Power outlet by the bed - Plenty of outlets overall - Plenty of hangers Location It’s easy to get here by route bus from Haneda Airport or Kokusai-dori—get off at Ihe Bus Stop and it’s right there. You can also take the shuttle bus from the nearby Radiant Hotel. It’s a perfect walking distance to American Village; the route is along the seaside with clean paved paths so it feels great. There’s a large drugstore nearby as well as FamilyMart and a bakery; if you walk a bit farther you’ll find AEON and San-Ae supermarkets and cafés open from around 7 a.m. There’s also a car rental shop within walking distance—so we took the bus from Naha Airport and only rented a car when going on longer trips. View Because we spent a lot of time in the Room for our workcation, we insisted on an ocean-view Room on a high floor. That was absolutely the right choice. The main view is of the port area. You can see Chatan fireworks when they go off. Cleanliness Everything was very clean—including the kitchen and all water areas—so we could use them comfortably throughout our stay. Next time I’d love to visit with my whole family. I’d be happy if there were a repeat guest discount—and it would be even better if there were an option for one flat rate per room as well.

Both the facility and cleanliness are impeccable. For Kyoto trips, we stay at Fuuga Bettei Shijo Omiya with 3-4 people. It is a comfortable space.

I stayed for one night with a friend, and the Room was clean and well-equipped, so I highly recommend it. There is a supermarket at the next station, but since it's far from the station, carrying food was a bit challenging. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay!

This is the only accommodation located in Kanau, famous for its connection to the "Taiheiki." The accommodation accepts only 1-2 groups per day. The building was originally a residence of a local noble family and served as a temporary palace for the Southern Court, which resisted the Northern Court. It has been renovated into a hotel and restaurant, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience history by staying in what was once an imperial residence. While the facilities and meals may not match those of luxury hotels, the owner, who comes from a long-standing noble family that has protected this area for generations, can share fascinating stories about medieval history upon request. Adjacent to the accommodation is a museum, and nearby on higher ground lies the tomb of Kitabatake Chikafusa. However, there are no other major tourist attractions in this area. This accommodation serves as a base for those wishing to explore Kanau's serene countryside. Please note that transportation is very limited; while there are buses from JR Gojo Station, they run only a few times per day. We recommend checking bus schedules carefully before planning your visit.

We were very satisfied last time, so we decided to stay again with everyone. This time, being summer, we also enjoyed the pool. The BBQ facility, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, shower booth, user-friendly kitchen, and spacious living room were all perfect. As I mentioned before, I personally love the fluffy beds and soft waffle blankets as well as the smooth shampoo and conditioner. The BBQ meat set was clean and delicious. However, most of us are not big eaters except for two people in our group; unfortunately, we couldn’t finish it all despite its luxurious presentation. I wanted to eat leafy vegetables but refrained since they were placed between raw meats in the set. It would be nice if there was an option to prepare a separate salad instead! Everything tasted great overall. For breakfast the next morning: leftover grilled meat from dinner turned into rice balls or French toast; mountain bread topped with potatoes, bacon slices or boiled eggs along melted cheese made up our menu ideas—but without an open toaster available (only microwave), achieving crisp results proved challenging—having one handy could make things super convenient though cleaning might become harder? At night-time viewing Akashi Kaikyo Bridge’s changing light colors felt stunningly beautiful! This trip added more fun memories shared among family members once again—we look forward eagerly returning someday soon!

We stayed as a family of three. The spaciousness of the facility was more surprising than we imagined. Since we traveled around various places from Wakkanai, the washing machine was a great help. We prepared dinner with ingredients purchased in Kitami. We used the bath and breakfast services at Kitakobushi. It was nice to spend a quiet weekend. The check-in process was a bit troublesome, and we struggled because the entrance wouldn't open even when we needed to use the restroom. It felt easier to check in at Kitakobushi. We've experienced renting an entire building a few times, but Lantern Shiretoko offered a wonderful space. Thank you for the great experience.

We stayed for one night as a family of four after returning from USJ. First, we checked in around 9 PM, and the floor heating was on, making it warm and very appreciated. The abundance of complimentary welcome sweets, drinks, and amenities made us feel the hospitality, which was delightful. The building is a well-renovated old house, so you can feel traces of the past here and there, but the simple and tasteful design and interior allowed us to have a very pleasant stay. The highlight is the location, about a 5-minute walk to Todai-ji Temple, and you can also see the Great Buddha Hall of Todai-ji from the second floor. The luxury of being able to take a leisurely walk to Todai-ji during the early morning when there are fewer tourists is unique to this place. Overall, we were satisfied, but I would like to mention two points we noticed. The barrel sauna, which we were looking forward to, was quite good, but there was only one wooden bench in the relaxation space, and there were no chairs with backrests or infinity chairs, which seemed like a missed opportunity. Also, we added firewood to the fireplace and lit it with the provided gas burner, but only large logs were available, and since the lid had to remain open while lighting with the burner, smoke filled the room, causing a family member with weak respiratory health to start coughing, so we closed the lid early, and the fire went out midway. It would be nice if kindling-sized wood could also be provided. If these two points could be improved, I believe it would become an even more wonderful Facility.

We stayed as three families with children, and each bedroom was spacious and very clean, which made our stay highly satisfying. The barbecue area had a roof and came with a refrigerator, which was very convenient. However, the entrance is a bit narrow, so large vehicles should proceed with caution. Overall cleanliness: 5 stars.

Recently, I stayed at GIFTHOUSE Sunomiya with my beloved dog. The Room was a private villa, offering an exceptional sense of privacy. We could relax without worrying about others and truly felt rejuvenated. The highlight was the wood-burning barrel sauna in the villa's courtyard. My partner and I took turns enjoying the sauna, followed by resting in the outdoor space surrounded by nature. The feeling of unwinding amidst greenery was incredibly refreshing. At night, we relaxed under a starry sky—a luxury you can't experience in everyday life. There was also a dog run where our dog could run freely and seemed to have so much fun. It was great to let our pet play in a completely private space. The villa itself was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and appliances, making it easy to cook meals. We enjoyed BBQs and leisurely breakfasts on the terrace while taking in the view of greenery through the large living room windows—such a lovely touch! Access from the city center wasn't too far either; it took about 90 minutes by car, which added to its appeal. The cost per person was around 30,000 yen, but considering this level of luxury, it felt worth every penny. I’d love to visit again for special occasions or relaxing weekend trips with my pet! This time, I stayed because the price was affordable, which might have been by chance. Although it's a bit of a walk from Asakusa Station, it’s not too bothersome. However, the lack of a nearby convenience store is inconvenient. The Room was clean and easy to use, but I didn’t like that the bed was fully visible as soon as I opened the door, even though it was right near the elevator. Similarly, having the front desk immediately in front of you upon entering on the first floor feels like poor layout design and is concerning. Still, overall it’s a good Hotel, and I would like to stay again.

Everything—from the meals, baths, and Room to the staff’s hospitality—was absolutely satisfying. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented and truly delicious. In addition to what was served at the table for dinner, a separate table was set up with obanzai (Kyoto-style small dishes). Everything I tried was delicious. The broccoli salad, marinated tomatoes, and pickled quail eggs in particular were so good I wanted to try every single dish. Breakfast offered both Japanese- and Western-style options, which I really enjoyed. The baths and Room—and in fact the entire Ryokan—were spotless and very clean. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: trays for jewelry in the bathroom and at the sink in the Room, as well as a warm note about what to do if insects appear along with insect spray provided. It made me feel genuinely happy. And at this price point—I’m truly grateful. I don’t usually want to return to the same Accommodation, but this is a wonderful place that makes me want to come back.

We stayed in a sunny corner Room with a great view, and thanks to the nice weather we had a wonderfully refreshing time. The night view was perfect as well. The meals were outstanding—we enjoyed fresh duck and boar with no odor at all, delicately seasoned and elegant in flavor. Breakfast also came with many small side dishes, so satisfying that you’ll want seconds of rice; I recommend the plan with both dinner and breakfast included. It seems to be an older building, but once inside it is kept very clean, with no dustiness at all. Everything is well maintained and thoroughly cleaned. The proprietress was also very kind, and I would love to see her again. If you’re sightseeing around Nara Station it may feel a bit far, but the area around this Ryokan offers wonderful views from Mt. Ikoma and lets you enjoy a different side of Nara’s scenery, so I highly recommend it.

The Room is clean and spacious, very satisfying. The service was decent; the man in the morning wasn't very friendly but not unpleasant either. The price is relatively affordable for the island, making it a good choice. However, in my case, while the Wi-Fi worked in the lobby, it disconnected when I went to my Room, and even after asking the staff, it couldn't be fixed. Still, it's a good HOTEL.
