As we did last year, we stayed again this year for our cousins’ trip. Unfortunately, the weather was bad last year, but this year it was sunny, so we decided to definitely use Choraku’s pool. At check-in, we enjoyed delicious tea and sweets in the lounge, then rested a bit in our Room before heading to Choraku. We went into the pool (there were lots of children, but we still enjoyed it), and then used Choraku’s open-air bath. After returning, it was time for dinner. The meal was delicious again this time. The main dish at dinner was venison, which had no gamey smell and tasted great. There were also various drinks that paired well with the food, and this time we ordered the wine pairing. The price was very reasonable. After dinner we took a short break, then went back to Choraku to enjoy a mini concert. After returning, we had a nightcap in the lounge, took another bath, and went to bed. In the morning we woke up slowly, took another bath, and then had breakfast. This time we could choose between Japanese-style or Western-style breakfast; since the bread served here is incredibly good, we chose Western-style and asked for all types of bread so the three of us could share a little of each. We had tea in the lounge again, returned to our Room to pack up our belongings—and then it was already time to check out. The staff were pleasant, the Room was clean and comfortable—an easy Hotel to relax in—and since you can also enjoy Choraku’s Facilities and events as well, there’s plenty to do. We had another wonderful stay this time too. We’re planning our cousins’ trip here again next year as well—thank you in advance.

From the warm hospitality to the excellent service from all the staff, we had a wonderful time. We also enjoyed unexpected activities such as the table tennis service, and the ocean view from our Room was beautiful—making it a truly memorable day. The meals offered a great variety, and we were able to fully enjoy many of Toyama’s local specialties. The evening course dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and we were extremely satisfied. One thing we hope will improve further is the overall cleanliness and odor inside the building. We stayed in a non-smoking Room, but noticed a slight smell of cigarette smoke on the floor. Since it is such a lovely Ryokan, improving this point would make the stay even more comfortable. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful—this is a Ryokan we would like to give five stars. It’s a place we would love to visit again with our family. We would be even happier if these points have been improved by our next visit.

Because the reviews were so highly rated and had caught my attention, I decided during the planning stage of my Miyakojima trip to stay here for one night. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, a staff member promptly carried our luggage for us, and from that point on everything was taken care of—truly attentive service! The hotel exterior and the room were both clean and beautifully designed with a white color scheme. We could go straight to the pool from the balcony, and I really appreciated that beach sandals were provided. It was also a big plus that we could walk to Umi no Eki, a popular sightseeing spot. Because there are relatively few rooms, shared areas such as the breakfast venue were quiet and relaxing. Overall, I felt the price was very reasonable for this level of accommodation. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

We stayed with a group of five. One of us was pregnant and had a seafood allergy. Thank you for kindly preparing special meals for her. Thank you also for arranging a birthday cake and for the wonderful photos.

We stayed in the “Japanese-Western Style Room with Open-Air Hot Spring Bath.” It’s not cheap, but it was absolutely worth it—an incredibly satisfying stay! ■ Room & private open-air bath The room was beautifully luxurious, and the view from it was outstanding. There were both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and I loved that I could adjust the temperature of the open-air bath myself. I set it a bit lukewarm and enjoyed a long soak while taking in the scenery. The room also came with a great selection of complimentary drinks, and having one out on the balcony while admiring the view felt like pure luxury. ■ Scenic public bath (a must!) The in-room baths were amazing, but please make sure to visit the large public bath as well! I’ve been to many hot springs, and the view from this one is among the very best. There are two baths with separate men’s/women’s hours (they rotate), so I highly recommend trying both. The daytime views are spectacular—but nighttime is something else entirely. Everything around you is pitch-black, to the point where you can barely see anything at first. As your eyes adjust, mountain silhouettes emerge with an almost overwhelming presence—like giants looming close by. Just when you think “This is scary,” you look up…and there’s a sky full of stars! It had been ages since I’d seen stars that beautiful—I was so moved I honestly wished they would turn off the lights in the bathing area. ■ Dining & service Every dish was refined and delicious. That said, younger guests might find the portions a little light (though drinking may be part of it—my spouse and I don’t drink). Also, I would have loved to have a big pickled plum at breakfast as well. The staff service was excellent throughout—we were impressed from start to finish. ■ Access / other notes - The roads on the way in and the parking lot are spacious, so even larger vehicles should be fine (we drove a BMW 2-door coupe about 5 m long). However, if it snows in winter, it may not melt quickly and could be challenging. - It’s surrounded by nature, so insects do appear. My wife said that with check-in at 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM there still wasn’t enough time to fully enjoy everything—and she truly didn’t want to leave. For me, Hita used to be just somewhere we passed through—but thanks to this inn, it has become a destination in itself. We will definitely return!

Thank you for taking care of us again in a Room with an open-air bath. The Room has beds, and at the back there is a spacious armchair where you can sit and relax while looking out at the garden. I was able to unwind there, enjoying tea and reading quietly. With the beds, it was also easy to lie down and rest right away, which gave me a reassuring sense of comfort. Last time we stayed over New Year’s with family, but this time it was wonderful to enjoy the garden as it shifted from summer into autumn while soaking in the open-air bath in the Room. Sanraku is also well known for its baths; in particular, the open-air baths are highly recommended, as you can feel even the natural breeze and soak amid beautiful mountain scenery. As for the cuisine, there has been a change of head chef, bringing a fresh new approach. While maintaining Sanraku’s original attentive Japanese cuisine that highlights seasonal ingredients, I could sense new ideas being introduced. Dishes were served freshly prepared, and it felt clear that great care is taken so guests never grow tired of what is offered. Our attendant provided detailed explanations of each dish and showed wonderful hospitality. An attendant who had looked after us previously also took the time to speak with us. The front desk and welcoming staff remembered our previous stay as well, making this an Onsen Ryokan where you can truly relax with peace of mind. I sincerely hope that such a hospitable Japanese Ryokan will continue its history for many years to come. As an IKYU Diamond member benefit, we received half a bottle of wine as well as shopping vouchers—great value tickets that could be used both for drinks at meals and for souvenirs. This is a Ryokan I would love to visit again.

The baths are among the best of any Accommodation I’ve visited. Security is solid, so you can feel at ease. The complimentary ice cream after a bath is a nice touch. Breakfast is delicious across the board, and it’s easy to overeat. The seafood rice bowl is so good you’d be satisfied even if you had it for lunch. This is a strong candidate to become my regular go-to Accommodation.

It’s convenient to reach by rental car from Shonai Airport, and the ocean is right in front of you, so the views are wonderful. I’ve stayed several times in a Room with a semi-open-air bath and have been very satisfied. The spacious Room also has a washing machine, which is very convenient. The meals feature many premium ingredients, and overall satisfaction is extremely high.

With easy access from Junglia and wanting to stay on Kouri Island, I made a Reservation here. It was very convenient—less than a 30-minute drive from Junglia! On the way, seeing the view from Kouri Bridge again after a long time really got me excited! When I arrived at the Hotel and headed to the entrance, a staff member came out to greet me and carried my luggage for me. Since I checked in much earlier than planned, I asked if it would be possible to make a dinner Reservation, and they kindly accommodated me (it may have been the last available seat). Just like the Reviews said, the food here was outstanding! For dinner, I ordered beef sirloin steak, hamburger steak, garlic shrimp, and other Okinawan dishes. Every dish was carefully prepared with great seasoning—truly impressive. Breakfast included freshly baked bread, a salad plate, soup, and coffee; both the portion size and taste were completely satisfying. The Room was exactly as shown in the photos—stylish and clean with a white-and-blue theme—and it was very comfortable. Personally, I really appreciated having a vanity separate from the sink area; it was very convenient to use. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Kouri Island next time!

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days to celebrate my partner’s birthday trip. When I contacted you in advance to ask about arranging a surprise, you kindly replied and supported us on the day as well, for which we are truly grateful. The message on the whole cake was beautifully done, the surprise was a great success, and my partner was absolutely delighted—thank you so much. The rental car was even cuter than it looked on your website, and exploring the island with it was so much fun. The room atmosphere, the breakfast and dinner meals, everyone’s hospitality, and nearby Kuura Beach—everything felt like a perfect vacation. It was our first trip to Miyakojima, and we were able to spend such a relaxing and wonderful time. Finally, when you drove us to the airport, we were deeply moved when everyone—including the kitchen staff—came out to see us off. Thank you very much for an amazing three days.

Because I had informed them in advance that this stay was for a birthday celebration, they congratulated me at check-in. Even though I arrived early, they quickly prepared the room, and it was decorated with celebratory balloons—and they even provided a cake, fruit, and wine. I was truly touched by such a wonderful surprise! Breakfast lived up to its reputation: everything was delicious. The selection isn’t huge, but the quality really stands out. The staff service was also excellent and very satisfying. Many of the staff are non-Japanese, and some do not speak Japanese; however, since about 80% of the guests are international travelers, that seems perfectly fine. At times I almost forgot I was staying at a hotel in Japan. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you very much. By the way, there is a convenience store nearby. It’s just over a 10-minute walk to Osaka Station through the underground shopping area. By taxi, you can get there for under 1,000 yen.

This Hotel impressed us in every way—hospitality, Facility, everything. At check-in, a staff member even came out to the parking lot to greet us. While enjoying a welcome drink, we received a thorough explanation of the property. The kids were beyond excited about how spacious and spotless the Room was, and about the view. There were thoughtful loan items such as card games, so not only the children but also we parents had a great time. We were also happy to find ReFa straightening and curling irons and a SHARP drum washer-dryer permanently installed, with detergent provided as well. The cleaning was impeccable down to every corner—truly impressive! (We stayed at another luxury Hotel the night before and noticed uncleaned areas and even flies, but here there was nothing like that—everything was beautiful.) At night, we relaxed by floating in the pool while gazing at the stars. And then breakfast—again, amazing: tender Wagyu steak in the morning and carefully prepared dishes using local ingredients. We had mentioned it was an anniversary trip, and they even prepared a cake and drinks for us. Every staff member was polite and warm; our 6-year-old son says it’s “the best Hotel ever.” I didn’t know Kouri Island could be such a wonderful place. We would absolutely love to stay again—with this Hotel as our main reason for coming back.

I visited Nikko to pay my respects at my high school teacher’s grave. Since I was there, I decided to take it easy and stayed here. The bath, the meals, and all the staff were wonderful, and I had a lovely weekend. Highly recommended!

This was my first stay at this Hotel, which offers the special opportunity to take part in Eiheiji’s zazen meditation and morning service. I was deeply moved by the cleansing, uplifting experience. In the stillness of early morning at Eiheiji, the crisp air filled the temple grounds; seeing so many trainee monks perform their service with such care, and the beauty of moss illuminated by the morning sun—these were all sights you can only experience because you are there so early, and because you stay overnight. I’m truly glad I came. The meals were also wonderful; even without meat or fish, I was completely satisfied by how delicious the vegetables were. The Room and bath were clean and well maintained, everything was spotless, and everyone at the Accommodation greeted us with warm smiles and attentive service—making this a trip I will never forget.

We stayed as a family of three adults. For three people, many places offer a twin Room with an extra bed, which can make the bed arrangement tricky, but this was a four-person Room with four beds and two toilets—more than enough for three adults and a wonderful Room. I would have liked it even more if the table area had been Japanese-style. The amenities were well prepared, and we were satisfied with the Facility, including the large public bath and lounge. The welcome drink was nice, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. However, at both dinner and breakfast, the staff serving the food did not look clean in their attire, which was very disappointing given how lovely the dishes were.

A ryokan next to Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya, where you can relax in gentle hot springs and spend time wrapped in tranquility. From the room we stayed in this time, through the window we could see the roofs of buildings within Akimiya’s grounds and the surrounding grove. The season’s coldest autumn weather this year made the feeling of cleansing both body and mind even stronger. We didn’t have time to walk around on this trip, but it takes less than a minute to reach Akimiya’s parking lot. Its charm, different from modern accommodation facilities, reminded us of the pride of being Japanese. Thank you very much.

Some guests may find it unusual that you pass in front of the front desk on the way, but I felt it actually adds a sense of security. I couldn’t get a room in the area where I usually stay, so I came to Toyohashi, and I found the atmosphere and clientele here better than at Dormy Inn Fushimi, which made my stay feel more comfortable and safe. I’d like to stay here again on my next business trip. Thank you very much.

I stay here every year to watch the races at the circuit, and I’m truly happy that both the front desk and restaurant staff remember me. First, the Onsen water quality was excellent. I wasn’t expecting much since the purpose of my trip wasn’t the Onsen, but my long-standing shoulder stiffness improved. The next morning’s breakfast was said to be homemade. They kindly told me, “Please eat plenty,” and I felt the warmth of the staff.
