Just a few minutes’ walk from Amanohashidate Station, the location was extremely convenient for sightseeing. It was also great to be able to view Amanohashidate from the Room window. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me, and I could relax and enjoy a long soak. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. In particular, the shabu-shabu meat was outstanding, and it paired perfectly with the citrus-scented ponzu sauce. The steamed white rice had a natural sweetness and was very delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay comfortable. One concern was the smoking environment. Although the guest Rooms are non-smoking, there is a smoking area in the hallway, so cigarette smoke drifted into the Room. As a non-smoker, this was disappointing and was my only complaint. Overall, it was an Accommodation with a high level of satisfaction. It had an authentic Ryokan atmosphere that you can’t experience at a large Hotel, allowing us to fully enjoy our trip.

My first time in Kurokawa Onsen. We stayed at Shinmeikan, famous for its cave bath. We drove there with a rental car, and on the way I was honestly surprised by how narrow the road was—like, “Is it really okay to go this way?” But that’s part of what makes Kurokawa Onsen feel special. Most of the staff are from overseas, but everyone was friendly and their Japanese was truly excellent. Even those who were a bit hesitant communicated their sincerity, and it made me want to cheer them on. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The entire building and our Room struck a great balance—keeping the charm of its age while updating what needed to be updated—so it was very comfortable. As for the baths, we managed to try all five: the famous cave bath, Iwato Bath, Kaze-no-Yu, Kajika-no-Yu, and an indoor bath. Each one had a completely different atmosphere, so we felt fully satisfied without needing to go Onsen-hopping at other Ryokan. The women’s cave bath is quite long, and it’s amazing to think this was actually dug out. I’d always wanted to visit Kurokawa Onsen, and staying at Shinmeikan left me truly satisfied—it became a wonderful memory.

I stayed with two parakeets. Since the Accommodation is located a little away from the tourist spots, it was quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed was provided, and we didn’t feel inconvenienced at all. Dinner was shabu-shabu, with plenty of vegetables and even udon to finish, which was more than satisfying. With an open-air bath included, we could bathe whenever we liked, and unlike staying at a Hotel, we didn’t feel rushed by schedules and were able to spend a leisurely time together with the birds. Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay.

This was my first stay, and it was simply wonderful. The Accommodation is old, but the amenities and Facility are well equipped. Having a cold-water pitcher in addition to the tea set was especially helpful. Being able to quickly drink cold water after the Onsen felt great. They also offer a free aroma diffuser rental, and I slept very well with the relaxing scent. The Room was more than spacious enough for just my husband and me, and it was spotless and clean. The staff were also very pleasant—nothing to complain about! Because it was during summer vacation season, the breakfast buffet was extremely crowded and a bit tiring, but aside from that everything was excellent, and it became an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again. After my stay, I accidentally left something behind in the Room. Thank you for your kind help when I called—it arrived safely. I’m sorry for the trouble. Next time, I’d love to return with No Meals Included. Highly recommended. There are so many good points that I can’t write them all here, but I definitely want to visit again—thank you in advance when that time comes.

This is a small, traditional Japanese-style Ryokan with just six Rooms, but it was very well maintained with attentive cleaning and service, creating a wonderful atmosphere. When I told them I was coming by train, they surprised me by picking me up at the station—perhaps because it was drizzling. I was satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the meals, and the Onsen was at just the right temperature—so comfortable I could stay in forever. The riverside open-air bath had a great view and felt amazing. I’d love to stay again.

My family of three stayed for one night. It was a very clean Hotel, and we could see JR trains from the window. Because it is right in front of the station, it is very convenient and easy to stay at. When we visit Bibai again, we would like to stay here again. Breakfast was free and we were satisfied. Drinks were buffet-style, so we could choose what we liked, such as coffee, juice, and milk. We were very satisfied.

It’s not in the Onsen town, but it’s within walking distance. The food was delicious, and the bath on the top floor was also great. The Facility was clean, and everything was good right through to the final send-off. It made me want to visit Gero Onsen again.

This is the Accommodation with lots of containers lined up along the roadside. It’s very convenient that you can park your car right in front of your container. Noise didn’t bother me. (I’ve stayed at other Accommodations in this group before, and depending on the location—near an airport or along a main road—some can be noisy.) The only inconvenience is that there aren’t any restaurants nearby. Since you have to drive to go out, you can’t really drink alcohol. There was a TRIAL next door, so it was convenient to buy various things.

My wife and I stayed here overnight while taking care of errands from Fuji City. After checking in at the front desk and entering our Room, we were very satisfied—it felt clean and was extremely well kept. Even though there must have been quite a few guests, it was quiet, and we were able to sleep comfortably. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, with many dishes that felt homemade, and everything was delicious. The kinpira and miso soup were especially good, and the dining staff kept everything clean at all times, so we could eat with peace of mind. It made us want to stay again next time. A Hotel that leaves a good impression makes you feel comfortable staying there, so we would definitely like to stay again.

Dinner requires a Reservation, and this Hotel actually serves excellent food. The seasoning and preparation felt very careful and attentive. The Room is clean, spacious, and well maintained. The front desk staff are also kind. Breakfast is buffet-style; the selection isn’t large, but everything is delicious.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The Room was spacious, and the cleaning was perfect—I was very satisfied. If I had to mention one thing, it was very disappointing that the amenities were only at a Business Hotel level.

The Room was a triple, so it felt spacious. The bathroom was separate from the toilet and had plenty of space. The slippers were a bit small for my husband. I would have liked a larger selection of pillows and hair dryers; if you check in late, there’s almost nothing left. Also, I’d like to see more manga for women and children. I used the coin laundry, and it was inexpensive with good results. However, since there are only two machines, I hope guests will remove their laundry promptly when finished. It was nice to be able to choose pajama sizes for both the top and bottom. The front desk staff greeted us when we went out and when we returned, which left a great impression. Breakfast didn’t have a huge variety, but it had all the basics, so I was satisfied. Overall, I was satisfied.

I visited with a same-day Reservation. Thank you for kindly accommodating us despite the short notice. When I entered the Room, a gentle hinoki-like scent filled the space and was truly soothing. The complimentary room fragrance and bath salts were a lovely touch, and they helped me relax even after returning home. The Room was very clean and well maintained, so I felt comfortable staying there. I would love to visit again.

Before arriving, we got a little lost, but friendly locals kindly spoke to us. Even before check-in, we felt the warmth of the people and it made us smile. At the entrance, the cool sound of wind chimes welcomed us. We were impressed by how beautifully maintained this historic building is—many original elements remain, yet everything is kept in excellent condition. Thanks to the staff’s thoughtful explanations about the origin of the transom designs, hidden features within the building, and local history, we enjoyed our tour far more deeply than we could have on our own. The garden in the Omi-associated “Donketsu-ryu” style was unlike anything we had seen before. With many tall trees, we could enjoy a beautiful layered view not only from the first floor but also from our Room on the second floor. There was also a pond shaped like Lake Biwa and a tea-room-like space—an outstanding setting that made us want to relax outdoors in other seasons as well. We were also very satisfied with our meal at “Kokarokkon,” which came highly recommended by the Facility. Not only was every dish exceptional, but we were moved by everything—from the displayed art and attentive care from the staff to their explanations of each course and enjoyable conversation. This was a wonderful Accommodation filled with history, gardens, great food, and warm hospitality. We would love to visit again during a season when it’s comfortable enough to spend more time outside.

The front desk staff provided excellent service, and I was very satisfied! Additionally, the housekeeping staff always greeted me whenever we met, making it a pleasant start to my outings. I got a little lost, but it was located at the end of a narrow road. The food was delicious, just as the Reviews said. I could have seconds of bread and ended up completely full. It would have been nice to have coffee after the meal. I wish I could have used the bath in the morning too, but I used it twice at night and caused you some trouble. The high-tech-looking massage chair felt great.

We stayed here as a couple. It was great that Kumano Taisha Shrine is right in front of the Accommodation, so we could visit during the day, at night, and early in the morning. The Onsen was also spacious and very relaxing, and soaking in the bath helped relieve our travel fatigue. We were amazed by the wide variety of dinner options! We would love to stay here again. The view of Lake Kasumigaura from the room was amazing—an unbeatable location! You can also take a walk around Lake Kasumigaura just a short stroll away. The sauna was excellent, and the breakfast had a great variety—we were very satisfied! The front desk staff were also wonderful. The only downsides were that the room flashlight was broken, and there was no pen or notepad provided, which felt a bit inconvenient. If you stay in an east-facing room, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise! This is a Hotel I’d love to return to!

As per the reviews, this accommodation offered exceptional cuisine. Dinner was delicious, and the handwritten menu by the head chef for breakfast the next day added a heartfelt touch to our experience. The staff member who assisted us was very polite and attentive. Visiting the enchanting Kinrin Lake in the morning made for a wonderful memory. Thank you so much! As for future improvements, perhaps strengthening the Wi-Fi in the room would be helpful. It was quite cold walking outside to reach the onsen, so we hope to visit again during a more pleasant season.

I had the privilege of spending New Year's for the first time at Kinjohro, one of Kanazawa's most renowned ryokan. With my mother being from Kanazawa and having spent six years studying in this city myself, it had always been a dream to welcome the New Year at Kinjohro. However, I hesitated for a long time, feeling that such a prestigious and traditional ryokan might be beyond my reach. This year, I finally had the opportunity to visit Kanazawa with my son and fulfill this long-held dream. The elegant architecture, refined furnishings harmonizing sophistication and grace, exquisite Kutani ware and Kaga Yuzen kimonos—everything exuded timeless beauty. The traditional Kaga cuisine featuring local specialties like yellowtail fish, crab, duck dishes such as kamo-jibu stew prepared with care using authentic ingredients—and even the osechi New Year’s feast—were simply exceptional. The room and bath filled with the soothing scent of cypress wood added to an unforgettable experience. Above all else was the heartfelt hospitality provided by staff who embody over 130 years of tradition in this historic city of Kanazawa. It felt as though we were transported back in time to experience the grandeur of Kaga Hyakumangoku culture. On New Year's morning after enjoying osechi cuisine, we joined other guests along with the owner, proprietress (okami), head chef, staff members and their families for a mochi-pounding event at the entrance. The friendly atmosphere shared among everyone under glimpses of blue sky through clouds made it truly special—the taste of kinako-coated mochi will remain etched in our memories alongside our stay at Kinjohro.
