I stayed here to watch the Japan Cup, a road race held annually at the forest park about a 7-8 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel seems primarily for guests of the adjacent golf course, and although I expected it to be crowded the day before, it was relatively empty. The facility is old and not particularly clean, but it has a nostalgic charm with its retro Showa-era atmosphere. The room was Japanese-style with futons that you lay out yourself. The large public bath is located in the basement and was comfortable as it wasn’t crowded. However, there’s no elevator, so it might be challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Check-in is until 8 PM, so I bought dinner near Utsunomiya Station before heading over. While I wanted to enjoy some local delicacies in Utsunomiya, proximity to the event took priority for me and wasn’t an issue. After check-out, I could use the parking lot for an additional fee during my time at Japan Cup viewing—this allowed me to leave smoothly without encountering traffic restrictions on my way home by car afterward. I would consider staying here again when attending future events!

Recommended for those staying in Sapporo with large dogs.

No Meals Included, stayed with a family of six. As you can tell from the Plan, you might think this is an ultra-budget Accommodation. The location is great: there’s a supermarket and convenience stores nearby, and if you walk about 20 minutes you can reach a main road lined with well-known chain restaurants. It was a Ryokan made up of three buildings with the front desk building in between. Every building shows its age; some Rooms seem to have been renovated, but the building with the family Room—and the family Room we stayed in (a 10-tatami Japanese-style room)—has an atmosphere that some people may find off-putting. That said, the Room amenities and equipment, plus thoughtful touches for kids such as free drinks around the front desk and game facilities, along with outstanding hospitality, were impressive. For our family, the hospitality far outweighed any dissatisfaction with the Facility, and it became a Ryokan we’d like to stay at again. If I had to mention one notable complaint, it would be issues in the bath area. In the men’s bath there was one washing station that couldn’t be used; in the women’s bath there was reportedly only one washing station with hot water. (However, there are also two shower rooms available 24 hours a day separate from the baths.) Also, I personally didn’t mind it because of the low price, but there were many young guests like sports teams on trips, which apparently scared our children. This time we couldn’t use some of their signature services—such as the free alcohol bar until 10:30 p.m. or the rooftop footbath with views of Mt. Fuji—but even without those extras, for this price and level of service we would definitely like to stay again. That said as mentioned above, it may not suit those looking for a spotless Accommodation or brand-new facilities and service standards.

The free-flowing natural hot spring water overflowed generously, and it was wonderfully hot and relaxing. It’s located a little away from central Kusatsu, but I’m sensitive to noise, so I was thrilled to sleep soundly in the quiet. They provided Shuttle Service to the town center, so I could enjoy a beer without worrying about driving or parking. The facilities were clean, and the meals were delicious—I was completely full!

We had a truly wonderful stay. Our previous appointment ran late and we didn’t make it in time for dinner, but they kindly extended the serving time at the last minute. The soup curry with plenty of fresh vegetables was delicious. They were also very helpful every time we called, and even phoned to check on us when they were worried about our delayed arrival—it was such a warm and thoughtful experience. The Hotel is shoes-off throughout (in a good way), so there are no slippers; instead, tabi socks are provided in the room. Walking around in them made it feel like a big home, and it was more comfortable than wearing shoes or slippers. The bed was also extremely comfortable! Above all, the staff’s kindness and hospitality stood out the most. It’s a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. They seemed short-staffed, but I truly hope this Hotel continues for many years to come.

The staff at check-in left a good impression, and the staff member in charge during breakfast was particularly wonderful with their smile and service. I will use Super Hotel again if I stay next time.

I was very satisfied with the ladies' room. Although compact, it had everything I needed. Everyone provided kind and courteous service, making it a pleasant experience. It's a bit far from my destination, but I would like to stay here again when visiting Osaka.

When I checked in at the front desk, we spoke about a few things. They answered politely, and I was also told that I could leave without stopping by the front desk when checking out. As for the Room amenities, the air conditioner was new and worked well even in summer. The bathroom was a standard unit bath (so I rated it 3), but it was clean. Shampoo and other toiletries were provided, and we could also have a campfire or barbecue right in front of the cottage—mission accomplished! There were no seasonings, but there were plates, a microwave, a toaster oven, and a refrigerator, so there were no issues for everyday use. I was surprised that it’s actually located in town.

The kiosk at Mino-Ota Station closes at 7:00 PM, and there is no convenience store on the station’s Hotel side, so I headed to the Hotel wondering about dinner. However, there are many restaurants around the Hotel, so finding dinner was not a problem. The Hotel front desk also sold items ranging from cup noodles to light snacks. The building itself is old, but the Room was spacious and equipped with an air purifier, making my stay comfortable. I would like to stay here again.

It’s not a new building, but it was kept very clean, and I was able to relax comfortably. Perhaps because there are many male guests, the Room amenities included items like shaving lotion, but there were no cosmetics for women, which was a bit disappointing. Since I had bought some unfiltered sake as a souvenir, I really appreciated having a refrigerator with a freezer compartment.

I stayed with a Plan that included breakfast. The Room was a Japanese-style room on the first floor with a fairly pleasant, tranquil view. It was a Room with futons for up to four people, but I used it alone. Standard amenities were provided: towels, toothbrushes, and razors. I wanted to use Wi-Fi in the guest Room, but it seemed only available in the third-floor lobby. The signal barely reached the guest Room and wasn’t usable even after entering the ID and password. Since 5G and 4G mobile signals were also somewhat weak, having reliable Wi-Fi access in each Room would make for a more comfortable stay. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese set meal—fairly standard but tasty enough to enjoy.

I stayed on Friday, July 11. That day, due to the eruption of Shinmoedake and news reports saying that Kirishima City was experiencing a water outage, many Reservations at Ryokans and Hotels in Kirishima City were reportedly canceled. However, in reality there was no impact at all, so I felt the reporting was overly alarmist—this is exactly reputational damage caused by rumors. Kirishima Hanamurasaki offers a very comfortable Onsen, and the food is absolutely delicious. In addition, the hospitality is outstanding. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I used this accommodation for work and travel in Kyoto (with my family of four). Since accommodations in Kyoto city were expensive, we decided to stay here as we were traveling by car. It takes about 30-40 minutes from Kyoto city, and there is an onsen facility nearby, along with restaurants and supermarkets, which was convenient. The hotel facilities were clean, the room was spacious and comfortable. The parking lot was also large and convenient. Breakfast was great as well. I think I will choose this place again next time. Although it is a capsule Hotel, it features a large public bath with a cypress tub, a lounge, and welcome drinks available at the first-floor café. The mattresses are thick and fluffy, ensuring comfortable sleep. The lockers are spacious enough to fit suitcases. While there are many foreign guests, everyone was quiet and well-mannered.

We stayed here for a family trip with four adults. The bathroom had only a shower and was not very clean. Toothbrushes were not included in the amenities. The Room was divided into two separate rooms, which was convenient. Everything except the bathroom was clean. It was spacious and comfortable.

Thank you for warmly welcoming us despite our late arrival after 8 PM (we had a breakfast-only plan). The room and onsen were very comfortable, and we felt completely refreshed. The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff provided excellent service. The water pressure in the bathroom faucet was weak, and it was difficult to adjust the temperature, so it would be great if this could be improved. While some of the facilities feel slightly dated, everything else was fine, and we had a very pleasant stay. We would love to stay again if we have another opportunity.

I stayed here on a trip to Arima Onsen. The parking lot is very far away, so it’s quite inconvenient without the Shuttle Service. The check-in and check-out locations are also separate, which was inconvenient, but the Facility is clean and Gin no Yu is within walking distance. It was great that I could walk to various places in the downtown area!

The Kanazawa machiya has been beautifully renovated, and we really enjoyed a unique stay that felt different from the usual. However, the email sent in advance contained very important information, but it arrived only two days before our stay, after we had already left for our trip, so we missed it. I would have preferred to receive it at least one week in advance. Also, I didn’t realize the 500 yen parking fee required an advance Reservation. It would be helpful if this could also be stated in the IKYU booking details.
