The rooms are kept clean. Amenities can be taken to the guest room as needed, which is efficient and helps prevent misuse by some guests. There is also a gym, and a sauna is available by Reservation. There are no notable downsides. Most guests are from abroad, but recent travelers seem to study Japanese customs beforehand, so unusual behavior causing discomfort to others has become less common.

I stayed here during my visit to the Expo. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The large public bath was a great relief after a tiring day of walking. However, the changing room was crowded, possibly due to peak hours, and I couldn't use the hairdryer. The breakfast was delicious. Conveniently located with good transportation access, this Hotel is highly recommended.

We stayed here for a family trip, and thanks to the great weather, we had a very comfortable stay. The views of Wakasa Fuji and Wakasa Bay were wonderful, and the Italian meals were delicious—we were very satisfied. It was also nice to be able to enjoy breakfast on the open terrace. Although there was a small issue, the staff responded quickly, which actually made it an even more memorable trip.

Upon arrival, the host kindly took photos of us with a beautiful view in the background. The Room is filled with carefully chosen interior pieces, and you can really feel the warmth of wood. His explanations and conversation were so enjoyable, and we found everything fascinating. The amenities in the Room are thoughtfully provided with no waste, and you can truly feel the attention to detail. From the windows on the 1st floor, 2nd floor, and even the bathroom, the metasequoia-lined avenue is right in front of you. I was looking forward to a morning walk. Dinner at night— compared to meals at typical travel Accommodations— felt like a standard menu at first..., but I expected that “standard” would come with real care and confidence. And it did. The burdock appetizer was amazing, just as mentioned in Reviews. The tartar sauce on the fried shrimp was also excellent. The simmered hamburger steak was incredibly tender as well. They even shared the secret behind the salad dressing. It makes perfect sense that he used to run a popular Western-style restaurant in Osaka (which he calls a “diner”). We had such fun chatting that it never ended—happy. On your morning walk, you can have the empty metasequoia-lined avenue all to yourself. It’s become a place I definitely want to visit again.

Before visiting Himakajima, I researched accommodations and found that the reviews were not very favorable, so my expectations were low. However, the staff at the accommodation were all incredibly hospitable, providing exceptional service throughout my stay. While it was not an onsen, the large public bath was spacious and relaxing, offering a similar experience with views of Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay. The sunset from the room was extraordinary—a scene reminiscent of a novel's opening line describing "a magnificent twilight," visible across the peninsula. The only disappointment was hearing that octopus catches have been poor recently. I look forward to visiting again when I have another opportunity.

We stayed here on our way to Kumamoto, visiting places like Hita and Yume Otsuribashi. Upon arrival, the staff promptly helped us with our luggage. Since there were few guests staying, we were allowed to use the men's onsen as a private family bath. The outdoor onsen had a silky texture that felt like applying lotion to the skin. As our room only had a shower, this was a very appreciated service. The room featured elegant furnishings that must have been impressive when first opened. While some signs of aging were noticeable (like loose closet knobs), everything was kept clean and tidy. The TV was quite small—less than 20 inches—and we found ourselves standing close to watch it at times. Normally, we don't watch much TV during trips, but since the weather was bad and there wasn't much else to do outside, it became a way to pass time indoors. On clear nights, I imagine the stars would be stunningly visible. Dinner consisted of course meals and everything tasted delicious! Although I knew this when making my reservation, breakfast offered only one option: Western-style with fried eggs as the main dish. Since this is not a large hotel catering to many guests, having no buffet is understandable (and I personally don’t prefer buffets). However, I would have loved an option for Japanese-style breakfast. On October 19th during our stay, there was one tree within the property showing autumn colors already turning red. By November, you can likely enjoy vibrant red and yellow foliage. This accommodation is perfect for those looking forward to enjoying onsen and meals here—thank you very much!

Thank you very much for your hospitality! I usually stay at a hotel when visiting Karuizawa, so this was my first experience staying in a vacation rental. However, it was not inconvenient at all and very enjoyable. The kitchen utensils were plentiful, and we had fun cooking vegetables and meat purchased from Hotsuchi Ichiba. The amenities were great overall; the bath towels and face towels were fluffy and comfortable to use. However, it was slightly disappointing that some towel fibers stuck to my face and body after use. Still, I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

The old storehouse has been beautifully renovated and has a wonderful atmosphere. It’s a maisonette-style Room: on the first floor you can relax with a book or enjoy tea while looking out at the garden, making for a very comfortable stay. The bedroom area on the second floor is also very spacious and comfortable. The bath is excellent as well—overall, everything is very comfortable. The hosts are warm and welcoming, which leaves a great impression. Breakfast is colorful and delicious, and beautifully presented. That said, since this Room makes use of an old storehouse, some things are unavoidable… The building is divided into two Rooms (imagine it split into right and left), with one group staying in each per day—two groups total. Each has its own private entrance, so you rarely run into other guests. However, because it was originally one wooden structure split in two, noise from next door can be quite noticeable. That said, you can hardly hear voices or TV sounds; in that sense the soundproofing is good and not an issue. But because both spaces share the same old structure (including beams), sounds like footsteps, opening and closing doors, and going up and down the stairs travel through the wood and walls very clearly. In our case, it may have been because our neighbors that day were traveling with two children… Even when we were relaxing in this lovely Room—or sleeping in the morning—we could feel heavy thumping noises coming through, which was honestly tough… If you happen to have quiet neighbors who are considerate of others’ comfort, this Accommodation is otherwise outstanding—so it may come down to luck. We travel around Uchiko, Tobe, and Ozu every year and would like to consider staying again next year as well—but this point does concern us somewhat.

Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in October 2025. Check-in was at a location separate from the accommodation, but they kindly explained the accommodation details and confirmed pet-related matters. Although driving was a bit tense due to narrow roads, we arrived safely without getting lost. The room was thoroughly cleaned, equipped with air purifiers and deodorizing machines in each room, ensuring good ventilation. The space was comfortable for both our family and our pet to enjoy together. During our stay, we opted for one breakfast and one dinner as an add-on option, allowing us to savor Kyoto's catering cuisine while enjoying a relaxing meal in the room. This trip to Kyoto left my family very satisfied with their stay, which made me truly happy as well.

A typhoon was approaching, and unfortunately, it was pouring rain, but we were able to enjoy a tropical atmosphere in the cottage. Next time, I definitely want to come back and go snorkeling at the nearby beaches! Thank you for a comfortable stay.

We stayed here as a family of four during summer vacation. A private rental Accommodation renovated from a traditional old house. The bathroom is spacious, the living room is roomy, and there are four bedrooms—up to 8 people can stay. It’s a bit far from Hakodate Station, but it’s located in the calm and quiet western district. The former Russian Consulate, the Foreigners’ Cemetery, and the docks are nearby, making for an enjoyable morning walk. The interior is clean and furnished with tasteful pieces that match the traditional house style, so you can spend a relaxing evening. The tram stop is about a 3-minute walk away, and there’s a MaxValu supermarket and a 7-Eleven nearby, so you can quickly get anything you need. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Hakodate. As for service, we had no contact with staff at all, and there were no complimentary drinks such as drip coffee or tea—everything was very simple—so I rated it 3.

Both the facility and cleanliness are impeccable. For Kyoto trips, we stay at Fuuga Bettei Shijo Omiya with 3-4 people. It is a comfortable space.

This time, my parents (in their 70s) and my son (teenager) stayed at the accommodation, and all of them were thoroughly satisfied. All three praised the cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-equipped facilities. Additionally, my parents appreciated the stylish interior design, while my son was delighted with the fresh air. Furthermore, the thoughtfulness of the owner and staff was exceptional, allowing me to feel at ease while seeing them off on their trip. Thank you so much!

Conveniently located near the station and just off a main road, this Facility was easy to access. It wasn’t tucked away too far, yet it was quiet and comfortable. The Facility is equipped with relatively new amenities, and having cooking utensils provided was especially convenient. There is no TV in the second-floor bedroom, but futons were also available in the first-floor closet, so guests who prefer complete darkness and quiet or who find it difficult to go up and down to the second floor can still sleep comfortably. It was very convenient, and I would like to stay here again when sightseeing around Fushimi Inari.

I stayed for one night with a friend, and the Room was clean and well-equipped, so I highly recommend it. There is a supermarket at the next station, but since it's far from the station, carrying food was a bit challenging. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay!

It was comfortable for having a BBQ with friends. The jacuzzi was also great.
